I opted out of my monthly bill and yet they continue to charge me $70 per month. Go there in person to get out and they say a manager has to email you a contract to sign to cease charges. Yet they never send the email I have been charged over $600 dollars for no service and when you talk to them in person they have the nerve to tell you you have 90 days to use the 9 months of charges for massages you already terminated in person at the store.Stay away from this company!!!!

Reviewing their website literature, this little nuance was not made clear until after arrival. This made for a very uncomfortable experience. Hand & Stone in Geneva has been my go to for hot stone massages. I find the location very clean, the front desk employees efficient, friendly and helpful. My therapist, Yulia is punctual and listens to my massage needs and concerns. It is very helpful because she knows my tension spots and relieves those aches and pains effortlessly.The only complaint I have is that the 55 minutes goes too fast. I would highly recommend Geneva Hand and Stone.

As a new client to Hand/Stone, upon arrival found the reception/waiting area pleasant, clean with enough space to distancing between clients while wait for appointments. The check in/out staff seemed a bit overwhelmed however with several clients waiting for check in/out and it took a few min for many clients to simply checkout due to the process of booking future appointments. The actual room where the massage was, was clean and pleasant with nice music and the therapist was thoughtful and reassuring as this was my very first massage in many, many years. I went for a swedish massage which I thought would be a gentle and relaxing type of massage but this was not really the case and found myself tensed up and have decided going for a massage is not for me in the future.

This is by far the best hand and stone I’ve ever been to. All the Therapsit are great and the front desk girls are phenomenal!

The staff there is incredibly friendly and the place is clean. However, I had the serenity package and my boyfriend paid for a 2 hour massage. They did not perform either of our services for the exact amount of time we paid for and we were both brought in late. When they complete the service, you are very relaxed and I didn’t realize that I was short on time until I left. My boyfriends 2 hour massage ended 25 minutes early! That’s unacceptable and ruined my perception of this company. I will not return and encourage anyone who visits to question the duration of time to their masseuse. The services are not cheap and no customer should be shorted on time. A man in the lobby was not brought in at his time and informed the staff he was concerned he wouldn’t get his full time. The receptionist told the masseuse to make sure the man gets his full time. Shouldn’t that happen anyway?

Not only was the front desk amazing, Trinity was SO helpful in helping me pick extras for my massage and trying a facial for the first time. George went above and beyond expectations; he’s very talented and also very attentive to detail.

I have gotten massages in almost every place in the Kane county area and that massage was one of the best. It convince me to get the membership in order to come back every month! Hand and Stone as a company is just outstanding. You get a friendly human being on the line when you call, the locations are luxurious, the products are top notch. Whats unique about their membership program is they offer massage and the kind of aesticians for facials that are usually only found at dermatology offices. The staff are all professional and known their craft. Every massage Ive had has been great but its always so difficult to get up afterwards. Massages and facials put many of us in a trance that combine a type of relaxed euphoria with a heightened state of suggestibility. Ive spent way too much money following sessions because I go into a quasi-hypnotic state. It just means theyre doing their job but be careful because theyre really good!There is one type of facial that dramatically improves the appearance of my complexion and I believe this would be the case with everyone. Its called Dermal Infusion. Its a newer technology that has 3 primary functions. First, a mildly abrasive diamond tip removes dead skin cells (like microdermabrasion but MUCH more comfortable). Meanwhile, a hydrating serum is pushed through a very small surface so that it penetrates deep into the skin as a suction unit removes dirt and debris from pores. Its a brilliant mechanism and it works! Its just really expensive if youre not a member so thats a good reason to get a membership alone. This company is fantastic!

And since I’ve been working from home I’m on the computer all the time and it’s really aggravating my carpal tunnel. All I wanted was to chat with someone face-to-face (Safely, and with a mask, of course)—to hold someone’s hand. Lisa did not disappoint. She was kind, gentle, and not only did she hold my hand, she massaged it expertly. 11/10 would recommend this spa. Don’t get a facial here period I recommended this place my first time I got a facial but the second time which was a month after the first one my face hurt ! And started peeling and all they did to “help” was give me a small super small even smaller than a travel size “healing” ointment which DIDNT HELP my face still hurts and is peeling also had to go to work with the healing ointment which made it look like I was super Greasy lots of people asked if I was okay super embarrassing and I paid extra for the facial also I had gotten the membership which was $60 a month plus paid the extra $40 that the facial lady said would help which was the one that made my face peel and I didn’t get my money back all I got for “free” was the “healing” ointment which didn’t help the least they could have done was given me my money back I’m really sad about this because I paid a lot of money and my face is the one suffering I wish I could have at least gotten my money back I didn’t even wanna write a back review and probably wouldn’t have writen it if I had gotten my money back but I didn’t so.If you guys want the name of the lady who did my facial comment and I will because they clearly don’t care about their customers only about their money which is the sad part 🥺Name is Daniela toledo hope it helps !

I work a labor intensive job and have for years. My friend gifted me a card for a massage and I was hesitant. I decided to do myself a favor which is something we all need to do especially during hard times. Lisa was my massage therapist and we hit it off immediately. She did a fantastic job and I melted into her hands. I have had many massages in my life and I must say this one was my favorite :) I handed her a fat tip and left with a big smile on my face. I will be back soon! Ahhhhhh 😊

I only gave 4 stars because we arrived 15 minutes early as mentioned to fill out papers and they didnt take us back for our couples massage until 10 minutes after our scheduled appointment (we were well over finished with the paperwork) and they assured us it would not cut into our massage time, and apparently it did because our massage ended at 4. It was advertised as an hour massage not a 50 minute massage. Other than that, everything was great. Nice and quiet and relaxing.

My wife and I became members last month after our first experience. I had a facial, then I brought my wife in for a couples massage the next day. That day we became members. Great staff at the front, very knowledgeable facial staff (cant spell the word), and wonderful massage therapists. I never had a massage before or a facial for that matter. I am a 39 year old man. I lost almost 100LBS and am more confident in my body, enough to actually get a massage. They made me feel comfortable and at ease with the whole process. I have never felt the release of tension in my whole life as I did the last 2 massages. Amelia knew EXACTLY where to focus. I left feeling so relaxed and just great all over, mind and body. I would HIGHLY recommend Hand and Stone in Geneva for sure. Treat yourself, you only live once, may as well be relaxed and feel well while doing it.

What an amazing experience. I have never had a better message. One thing I loved was that my massage therapist didnt try to chat me up the whole time. I seem to have always had therapists who wanted to talk through the whole massage. It was so nice to just be quiet and enjoy the pampering. I also had a facial for the first time. It was wonderful and again it was a tranquil and quiet experience. I will definitely be making Hand and Stone a regular thing in my schedule.

When I was ready to leave the tip for a service of $59 I was asked if the 20% could be taken from the original price of $99.00. In all of my experiences as a consumer Ive never been asked to leave a tip for an amount much higher than what I paid for. Other than that the massage therapist was friendly and good.

Hand and Stone Geneva is an excellent place to go and relax and have the best facial or massage. All of the staff are great and very courteous. The environment is always very clean and sanitary.

My friend and I came in for a massage and it was our first time getting one too. I called and made an appointment for 1pm. No one mentioned to come in earlier to do paperwork. While sitting there filling in paperwork for 20 minutes they told us we were cutting into our massage time while they were all just watching us fill paperwork for 20 minutes. We ended up getting an 30 minute massage and having to pay for an hour one. I called they told me they’d have the manager that was there call me back the next day and they never called. My friend calls the day after the next day and they repeatedly hang up on her or tell her to call back later or put her on hold. Neither of us got to speak to the manager. Make sure when you come in to come in early cause they won’t tell you and don’t even bother trying to get ahold of the manager!

This place is the place to go for a massage! I had a subscription to them for a time. And I have to say that it was worth it to a degree. The masseuse in the masseur get up excellent job. My masseur actually was strong enough to get deep into my muscles. Im a machinist so I do a ton of heavy lifting and labor intensive work at my job. I was able to move so good and I slept so well for the first time in months. They know what theyre doing and the staff at the front desk or very knowledgeable about the products and the different add ons and types of massages you can get. Its very worth going to. Youll have a terrific experience.

We have been going to Hand & Stone since they opened and we have always enjoyed the personal feel of the staff. It is great that they know us and greet us by name. I have had massages with several of the therapists and have always received a quality service and great advice. My only regret is that I do not go often enough and my therapist always has to work hard to remove the stress knots from my shoulders and back. I would highly recommend Hand & Stone to family and friends.

I received a massage at Hand & Stone in Geneva early this June; and it was absolutely wonderful!I received a hot stone 50 minute massage and it was the most relaxed Ive been in a really long time. The stones were at perfect temperature, and they really helped soothe the achy feeling in my lower back.I had Liz and she was super sweet- we chatted a little which helped me get comfortable and relax a little more. Will definitely be returning!

Went in for a mother’s day facial/massage. Everyone was nice but they ruined my eyebrows! I spent 10 minutes telling the esthetician my brows were not naturally full enough and I just wanted the strays waxed because full brows are in style now. They were almost perfectly shaped before, now they look terrible! She made the left noticeably thinner than the right with a little completely bald spot in the middle! Now they’re pencil thin and crooked! Also the right is super short. She tried to tell me it’s not a bald spot that’s blonde hair... no. I have naturally dark brown hair, you way way over waxed.Then she said they grow back- well yeah! But it takes forever and now I have to try to correct crooked brows every morning with makeup or my face will look totally asymmetrical. Do you think I want to do that for the next couple months? I have two kids, that’s the last thing I have time for in the morning! Too thin eyebrow look awful when trying to grow them in, totally gross stubble (because DARK hair). Not worth it!Then at the end there is a high pressure sales pitch where they tried to get me to sign up for monthly services. The price they quoted my husband when he booked this was way less than what I was asked to pay when I checked out. It’s worse than buying a car. Also pressured to leave a tip even though I wasn’t happy. It was so dark in there I was hoping my face wasn’t as bad as I thought, in the light it looks just terrible. Very very disappointed- I’ll never go back. It’s not relaxing when everything is an up sell and the services fall way short.

When I asked if there was a manager there she said she comes in at 9.I said can you have her give me a call. She paused for a long time . Pretty sure I won’t be getting that call.You should teach your employees uh used repeatedly is unprofessional. Also there is no manager there?So easy to sign you up for membership but will give you a hard time to cancel .For 60 bucks a month I expect more .

I saw Kelli for a facial and it was AMAZING! She took time and really helped me with my skin care concerns. I have dry skin and she suggested a hydrating facial using cold stones! What a treat! I loved every minute of it and was sad when it was over. I never knew a facial could be so relaxing! I plan on coming back every month and trying even more of their services! I recommend the hot stones during a massage, or a microdermabrasion during a facial! These services all have amazing results and they are all very relaxing. Went in for a massage this past friday and keep in mind me and my friend have never gotten massages before so on the phone they should’ve told us we needed to come in a little early before our appointment started to fill out some paperwork but instead they didn’t and we came in at one when our appointment was scheduled and the whole staff just watched us fill out paperwork for 20 minutes and then the concierge tells us that it cut into our time for our massages and that we can finish afterwards so we paid for an hour massage and only ended up with a 30 minute service and rushed us out, so the next day my friend calls to complain and they tell her that they’ll call her back later but no one ever did so i called today and they said the same thing and wouldn’t put me on the phone with the manager and then i called again later on realizing they never called me back and once she answered she hung the phone up immediately so i called back again and she tried putting me on hold again then stated she would call me back again which clearly again did not happen this is very ignorant and unprofessional if i could give this place zero stars i would, they try to avoid conflict by lying and hanging up the phone they clearly don’t care for their clients here

I love Hand and Stone. The staff and therapists are so friendly and welcoming. I get massages and facials every month. I have tired a few different service providers and have always had an amazing experience. I have seen so much improvement in my skin with the amazing facials. It is so much brighter and my acne has decreased significantly. My massage therapist and I have been working together to decrease my stress induced headaches. The spa is beautiful. I had a great experience from the time I entered the door and felt extremely relaxed. You must go here!!! I won’t go anywhere else.

We tried the $49 1hr massage special offer and added the scalp massage and scrub treatment, which was to be in addition to the massage (was told about 10 min or so).Unfortunately, the entire treatment lasted 60 min.The massage itself by the therapist was not the best overall... lots of extraneous elbow / forearm work on the back in the beginning that - which also resulted in being hit in the head with her elbow 4 times, rough placement of the hands and feet - like being flung around or dropped carelessly and significant inconsistencies in treatment of the opposite side - e.g. worked on back of left thigh, but ignored right side. I also contemplated asking for more pressure, but was concerned that the lack of quality experience could potentially result in more harm than good. I did ask her to stop pressing on my spine (big no no), which she complied with.Scalp massage on the other hand was wonderfully deep and consistent overall.Hand treatment was nice and similar to one youd receive during a manicure (hot towel wrap, scrub and wipe off). You are also provided a tiny take home sample of the scrub and the cream.The facility appeared clean and the staff were very courteous.May try again in the future, but as of right now I would not go back even if I were offered the same special rate.
