STAY AWAY! DO NOT THESE PEOPLE. 13 days ago I took both my girls to get an eye exam and glasses. I was told on the phone that they make the glasses in store. Lie. So after driving an hr.on Sat we were there 3.5 hrs. Then I wait for glasses. Called the next sat. Girl on phone said oh something was wrong with the shape of the lense. Let me check on that and Ill call ya back. She never called back. I called back Monday several times no answer. I text also. Then i called all day Tues phone calls back to back no answer. At this point I know they are screening the calls. Ive started already today for the first 20mins of them opening and no.answer. now.i have no.glasses that my girls really need. One of the girls this is.her first pair and she cant see the board at school and the other is almost legally blind and cannot see without her glasses and her script changed so she can hardly see and Im out $287 and a tank of gas. Looks like to get anything Im gonna need a lawyer. So please for your sanity stay away from this group its bad.

Such a great experience here! It was my first appointment and everyone was so sweet! The exam was great and thorough. I was able to ask any questions I had and felt really listened too. They really took their time. I decided to get new glasses and Macey was so helpful! She walked around the whole store with me helping me find the perfect pair. Also they had my glasses ready in THIRTY minutes 🤭 I was amazed. This is definitely my new eye care home!

Over and hour wait. They said it was due to the new computer system. Only the doctor and one other employee were wearing masks. I have no complaints about the doctor I saw. However with the long wait time (likely due to over scheduling) and the lack of responsible mask policy I will not be returning.

Is any one else having try getting through to them I hav been trying for two days now

My visit to Gardendale Eye Center was very pleasant! The front desk staff is absolutely amazing l. Their hospitality is one of a kind and they do a very good job of making their clients feel warm and welcomed. The eye doctor that I saw was quick and very efficient, and I was over all impressed with the quality and speed of service. The selection of frames that this location offers is great as well! I ordered both contacts and glasses and they arrived in 2 days! Overall I would definitely recommend this location to anyone and I will be returning in the future! Honestly, great job!

I just wanna give a huge shout out to Gardendale eye care!! They where super fast, friendly , Very helpful and without insurance your eye exam is 79 bucks!! I definitely recommend them!! Great people great Atmosphere! Best of all I was able to walk out of there with my glasses!!! Will definitely be returning for all my eye needs!!

The doctor was friendly and even took the time to explain things in a simple way. There is no problem when finding a choice of frames with the many types to choose from. Over all, I had a great experience and so did my sisters who visited before me.

The staff at the Gardendale Eye Care were very welcoming and helpful for my first visit there. The optometrist was awesome in her exam. It was the quickest and most comfortable eye exam to date!I would heartily recommend them for all your eye needs.

I have been going to GEC since its been open. If you need anything just ask Hali Blackburn at the front desk she is the best.

The doctor and the lady at the desk both were very helpful. It was hassle free visit. There is a lot of frames to choose from. My daughter got frames and lens for a really great price. I’m Grateful for Gardendale Eye Care!

Dr. Fransisco knows his stuff. I have had metal extracted from my eye on several occasions. Three days ago he did the same. I was in and out in 30 minutes. Best eye Care I have ever had. I will never go or recommend anyone else for this

The staff here was amazing with my daughter, and caught an issue we had been waiting to fix for 3 years. They were patient, kind, and attentive. They even have use snacks 😊. If you want genuinely good people that love what they do, you should go here!

IF I COULD GIVE A “ZERO”, THEN THAT WOULD DEFINITELY BE THE RATING THAT I WOULD LEAVE FOR Gardendale Eye Care!!!!The staff is not as friendly or welcoming as you would want them to be as a consumer who pays for service here. I had an appointment and upon arrival, the machine they needed to use on me for my exam was down. I was then rescheduled because of that reason and once my appointment came up, I was contacted and advised that they still had not had their machine serviced and that they would contact me to schedule the next appointment once the machine had been serviced. It has now been almost 3 months and I have yet to here anything from anyone, so I am definitely going to find a BETTER eye care center that’s willing to help and that cares about their consumers!!!!!IN RESPONSE TO THE OWNER: Wow, so now it’s about the company. I would have preferred to be contacted LIKE I WAS TOLD once the machine was operable again. I PAY YOU, YOU DON’T PAY ME SO I EXPECTED THINGS TO BE DONE ACCORDINGLY. I chose the BEST PLATFORM TO DISPLAY THE LACK OF KNOWLEDGE, IGNORANCE and THE NASTIEST DISPLAY OF RACISM in YOUR ESTABLISHMENT. Staff was friendly, informative and helpful. Great selection of glasses. Had a slight delay in receiving product caused by the contact supply company, due to a back order issue. Problem was addressed by management and corrections were made for future similar situations. All in all, great experience and would recommend.

Ive been two times to this eye care place. Both times I have felt ignored. They have not had my glasses ready when they said they will be ready. I have drove up here to pick up my glasses two times for nothing because they did not call to let me know they would not be ready in time. When I told the girl they could have called so I would know not to come to pick up glasses that arent ready. She responded snotty well we havent had time. My glasses were suppose to be ready a day ago and its been 2 hours since they have been open. Get this as Im writing this review the same snotty girl decides to call me letting me know they can have my classes ready today with a different lense that isnt the same as the other. I tried to tell her Ill just wait. I do not have a problem waiting the problem is no one called to tell me. I will not use this eye care place again.

The staff here is so friendly and knowledgeable. They helped me find the perfect glasses for my face. I felt like I mattered and not just another face in the crowd. When I came back to pick my glasses up they knew who I was without asking which is a testament to their personalized one on one care. I will definitely be back! I found my new eye doctor!!

First visit at this eye doctor as I recently moved to the area. Dr. Francisco at first seemed like just a receptionist as he was checking in patients, which I thought was very humble of him. The doctor was nice enough, but they were understaffed and the actual receptionists were a bit rude and didnt seem to want to answer my questions as a first time patient. I was seen almost 30 minutes after my actual appointment time, which I would not have minded if I had actually received thorough care. I have a lengthy history of eye injury and disease and the doctor did not bother to read my form until I pointed it out. I was very rushed through my appointment and my prescription was completely wrong. I had to tell the doctor twice that the lenses did not feel right at all. I will wait until my insurance renews and I can find a better equipped doctor for my needs.

They were very helpful, to the point of discounting the frames I wanted so that I could afford them. They also give you your glasses the same day! They even offered to let me pay half up front and half when I picked up my glasses. I highly recommend Gardendale Eye care!

The staff was excellent. I was able to get an appointment the next day and being a new patient there, I was well taken care of and the staff made me feel like I was at home. They also had my glasses ready for me within an hour after getting told I would need some. I highly recommend this place.

We used this location for eyeglasses a couple of years ago and loved the staff! Very professional, processed my daughter and I in a timely manner, and the glasses were beautiful and a great quality.

Best by far if you are looking for a thorough and patient centered eye doctor. Found an issue during my husbands exam that could have become much worse Their expertiese and equipment detected the problem and prevented something much worse. Truly patient centered care and best staff out there!

I am editing my review. I did not like the approach of the sales guy who fitted me for my glasses. It felt like buying a used car. Even though there was miscommunication on my contact order and the issue with the sales guy, I am amending my previous review. The girls in the office who helped me when I picked up my glasses were awesome and very knowledge. I did some comparison shopping after feeling a bit taken by the used car sales approach and found that their prices are reasonable and would go back.

The receptionist Ayla gave my two children cookies ans capri suns while waiting. The doctor was friendly and caring. DJ was truly amazing! He made sure my son found the perfect pair that fit him just right. He went above and beyond. They had them cut and ready to go within 20 mins!!

Im pretty disappointed. The girl who helped me overcharged me by $70. She charged me for a material co-pay even though I did not end up buying anything and a contact lense fitting fee which was supposed to be covered in full by my insurance. I did end up getting a refund but no one ever apologized for the inconvenience. It was like I was inconveniencing them by asking that they refund me. Also, once I had a pair of glasses picked out she calculated my frames and lenses to be about $300. She never once thought to look at my insurance information which would have covered most of the cost of my frames and my lenses would have been covered in full. I walked out of the store empty handed after spending $80 on my appointment.I will say that I went and got glasses elsewhere. Whoever I spoke to on the phone at gardendale eyecare emailed my prescription to me in five minutes which was nice.
