Poor service and not caring for the patients well-being and I came from Hou to my one hour notice must be in person visit..... I was contacted at 315pm to get here for a four oclock appointment I made it in at 415 and was told the doctor had left and I was rescheduled for a month away from today and was unable to get my refills nor an referral to another doctor in Houston.... I was told that I was unable to change my doctor and I had to continue to be in dangered by this medical team.

This review is for UTMB at the 400 Harborside Drive location, more specifically, Nurse Teqweula and the Front Receptionist. I have a fear of needles and blood. This has been the best experience Ive had getting my blood drawn. They were very helpful, fast and there was no pain at all getting my blood drawn for this Corona antibody test. I highly recommend this location for the staff. You guys rock!

In the time that it took to just talk to someone to get an appointment scheduled, I was able to drive to a clinic to complete everything. The woman said she would call back to finish my appointment because she failed miserably to just put in my insurance information. She never called back, and I was able to drive to a walk-in clinic for a simple medical-physical wellness check. It took 30 minutes going to a walk-in clinic, and more than 2.5 hours since the lady said she would call me back(failed to do so).

Had two tests in Radiology. Fast and friendly check-in. Tiffany did the tests and was amazing -- professional, efficient, and very pleasant!

Patrice and Denise in lab services were so rude, I ended up leaving in tears. Neither one was competent enough to complete my labs, and Denise told me to go to a different lab because they were done bothering with me. Ive never in my life met such uncompassionate nurses!Update: After speaking with client services, I am happy to hear they do take patients negative experiences seriously and have taken steps to correct the issues I had with these phlebotomists. I added a star to my review to reflect my experience as a whole.

I have been going to the Ortho Clinic for over a year now for injections from Dr. Smith. He is a caring and compassionate Dr. and I couldnt ask for a better one. The staff at UTMB is very busy and it may seem sometimes they dont care, but that is so far from the truth. I agree they are understaffed at times and it makes it hard to give each person the attention they may want. They are none the less very professional and caring. Thank you for the job you do.... UTMB ortho is a total joke. Have had to deal with them 3 times and they are understaffed, incompetent, rude, uncaring. A true horror story for a patient in pain. I waited 3 months for my initial visit, then was rescheduled another month out. At that point, I changed ortho (to a non utmb provider). I was seen immediately, had MRIs, bone scans, a follow up, a plan of care, and my pain managed all within 2-3weeks. I cant stress enough how incompetent, uncaring, and self centered UTMB ortho is...I suggest go somewhere where you and your ortho problems are treated with respect.

They bill you before you are seen ,they dont work with you if you are indigent. When you need to be seen and have no way of paying at that time, they dont work with you to see the doctor and receive the services you need. Very poor service.very displeased.
