This Medical Facility is Terrific! As long as you have Patience and are Kind to the Employees you will have a Feel Better Experience here! It sure beats going to the Hospital Emergency Room where they are Streched to the Limit.Take Care Of Yourself and Be Kind!

I called this clinic to set an appointment for my child. The person on the phone even asked me what time I would love to get, I said 1pm. She said okay. Got there on time before 1pm and ended up 4:06pm. We waited 2 hours and 45 minutes for my son to be checked-up. So what is the point of calling for an appointment? The lady in the front desk (tall, blonde-short hair lady) and the Doctor are the only nice people there. The service is good but slow, it takes forever.

All Staff were very prompt, attentive and friendly The right tests were made and medicine was prescribed immediately. As usual MedStar Health Urgent Care/Gaithersburg staff were outstanding. I know that I can always count on the Gaithersburg Medstar Urgent Care.

The PA and nurse were great. Front desk woman, not so much. 3 things happened: 1) I scheduled an appointment at around 230am for both myself and my husband for this morning at 9am. I used the add a patient function, but apparently, it only came through for me so she was incredibly rude about it and told my husband she could schedule an appointment for after 1pm but that he couldnt be seen as walk-in. Seriously? 10 minutes later a girl came in wanting a COVID test and she was seen as a walk-in; 2) the front desk woman stated we had to wear double masks but she clearly was only wearing 1 mask....dont be a hypocrite; and 3) she clearly couldnt handle herself during an urgent situation. There was an ambulance apparently called, but no one in the lobby knew that. A man went to ask a question and she told him he just needed to take a seat that she had an ambulance coming and her priority was keeping the lobby clear. They showed up about 5 min later, no idea why this impacted her ability to answer a question.

Staff was wonderful but PA couldnt be bothered with my symptoms once he knew my covid test was negative. I am fully vaccinated. I have a severe sinus infection and his words were just do over the counter. Ive been doing that for 4 days with a fever which is now worse. 2 hour waste of time. Just listen to the patient!!!Will not go again.

MedStar Darnestown is by far the most accessible and professional. The front desk is friendly and makes you feel at ease when you don’t feel well. The support team of medical assistants are very caring and professional.

Extremely fast yet caring service even though I had to come in minutes before they closed. I had 3 wonderful women, 2 nurses and the doctor, clean and stitch up my finger in minutes but were still very kind through the whole process. Thank you!

Front desk, LPN, physician were nice BUT the whole experience was very poor. I made an appointment and I had to wait for 2 hrs in a room to be seen !!!Nobody came to check on me. What is the point to make an appointment and you still had to wait for 2 hours. Very upsetting .

I was seeing right away. The nurses were very polite and friendly. And the doctor was very attentive and gave me a lot of attention and detail to my problem.

I had the most comfortable Covid test yet. Having had several Surgical procedures, Ive had several. I was on time for my appointment and so was Medstar. The whole procedure in and out 16 minutes!

I have been to this location twice now and each time they are quick to check me in, allowing me to fill paperwork once Im in a room. They were great with my kids, and Staff is very effecient.

For two days I have tried to call to make an appointment and they always put me on hold for more than 15m at 20m, the better I close because I think they have already forgotten about me, I call again and the same story leaves me in hold for a long time on the second day 8 : 30 am the same story in hold two and three times that Melissa called very rude nor do they want to make an appointment

The COVID precautions were excellent! Dr. Karin was very compassionate and helpful.

Friendly and professional staff! Their team is full of SuperHero’s I was in and out in under 30 min and that includes the wait (Which there wasn’t). All questions answered without hesitation this was Almost too good... think I’ll stub a toe next week to revisit

If your goal is to see someone for the sake of seeing someone, by all means. Went twice for the same issue over the course of 3 weeks, second visit was less than 10 minutes long for another misdiagnosis. Comptley ignored my previous history. Also, tried to draw unnecessary labs because they had the charts mixed up. Saw a private Dr and when he took the time to speak to me instead of at me, he was able to properly diagnose my issue.

Quick and easy and very personable and kind!

I had decided to go to urgent care because of a small bite wound I had on my hand, and was told by the receptionist that the doctor can look at it and prescribe me antibiotics. After I had filled out the patient forms I was immediately charged $200.00 upfront before seeing a Dr.Few minutes later, I was called in and my weight vitals were taken, then guided into a small room to wait in. For a little over an hour in a overwhelmingly bleach fumed filled room, I sat there. When the doctor came in, she quickly asked what was I in for, I showed her my hand, told her what had happened and that I needed antibiotics. Very briefly she looked at my hand and said she cant do anything about it and said I needed to go to the ER. Not even examining my hand or anything. Had I known they couldnt take care of the type of visit I wouldve went to the ER first before wasting $200 at this location! Terrible experience, would never go back nor recommend MedStar Urgent Care to anyone, not even my enemy.

I have never had a worse experience in a medical facility. I waited 1 hour in a tiny room without anyone acknowledging me. I was becoming lightheaded and overheated. After my second attempt of asking if I will be seen, I started to have a panic attack. I couldn’t breathe, so I came out of my room. The staff just stared at me carelessly and said I had to go back into my room and wait to be seen. No one asked if I was okay. No one offered me water. They closed the door on me while I was hyperventilating. I felt completely ignored and uncared for. I will never step foot in here again.

My girlfriend went in for a dog bite and had to pay 200.00 up front because she didnt have insurance. She got taken back to have her vitals taken and to see a doctor. When the doctor came in she was told they couldnt do anything for her and told us to go to the emergency room. So we thought it was bad enough to pay 200.00 dollars for nothing, now a over a month later she gets a bill for 401.00 dollars. When we called about the bill they told her she was treated and given antibiotics which didnt happen. So now the bill has doubled and all they did was her vitals. If I charged customers at my job 400 dollars an hour to tell them to go somewhere else itd be a crime.

If I need another COVID-19 test I will definitely use another medical office. My MedStar test experience was awful.1. The MedStar website is difficult to use to make an appointment for a COVID-19 test. I gave up after 20 minutes and had to find someone who also struggled with the MedStar website before making my appointment.2. When I got a text confirming my appointment I decided to look for a better time. I discovered I had canceled my scheduled appointment and I could not get it back. No other appointments were available on the best day for me to get the COVID-19 test.3. When I arrived on time for my appointment no one was available to administer the test. I sat in a waiting room for an hour with a walk-in patient who told the receptionist she was there because she had COVID-19 symptoms. It was frightening sitting in the same room for an hour with a patient potentially ill with COVID-19.4. When I was called into a treatment room for the test the staff member was not aware I was there for a pre-surgical test. He struggled to find my records in the MedStar computer and had to get another staff member to find my scheduled surgical procedure and the order for the COVID-19 test.5. Based on all these problems I am not confident the results of my COVID-19 test will be available to my surgeon in four days.

I went there three times. All are very nice and warm. And all is quick.All medical staffs are so thorough and professionalI feel very thankful to all of them.

Had good service til today when I had to get a paper filled out by the physician who seen faxed the paper 4 times to them before they said they got them got a phone call later on saying the doctor said they don’t fill out these papers what kind of place diagnose you but can’t fill the paper out the back it up for your work and this is for covid on top of it not very pleased with this place right now

They do proper physician care like any other place but nothing about it is prompt. Ive been here twice now for simple treatments and each errand has taken 2 hours. Seriously: dont waste your time here for a service that is the same everywhere when they can do it in an actually reasonable time.

Totally bazar i went to get a corvid test they ask me to make an appointment the area was empty i didnt see any one so when i asked can i have it done now since i drove and i am hear now ,the answer was no because i dont have any symptoms .so if i lie and tell her i have a sever fever they will do the test ,so i have to lie so i can get the test done i never put my foot in this clinic , no respect to a patient and for your time

Doctor is nice. Not a terrible place but since it became a COVID testing center, I find the precaution a bit lacking for non-COVID patients. I was pregnant and had to wait for 1.5 hours. Half of that in the common indoor area with traffic comes in and out for COVID tests. I became very uncomfortable and tried to sit as far as possible. But still one symptomatic person came close to me. I think they can do more to segregate and make all patients feel safe

Visited on Saturday because of muscle spasms. From the moment I entered, I was greeted with a warm smile and offered a wheelchair because I appeared to difficulty walking. I declined but was most appreciative. I was called to have my vitals taken. The nurse was very pleasant as she checked my vitals. She escorted me to an Exam room but encouraged me to take my time as she noticed it was difficult to walk. After a while the doctor came in. She apologized for my long wait and I assured her that it was okay. What I liked most was her smile. I explained to her why I was there and she listened. She did a quick but thorough examination. Once the diagnosis was determined, she went off to write a prescription. She told me that once I picked up my prescription, to follow the instructions and follow up with my doctor. The nurse came in with the prescription and wished me well. This was perhaps one of the best visits to an prompt care facility. Thank you for such great service.

Visited this urgent care twice in the past six months and have had a wonderful experience. They were very polite and professional, correctly diagnosed my wifes illness and processed chest x-ray on the spot. Doctors are very friendly and honest about what they can help with and cannot. Highly recommended

I had an urgent situation that required immediate attention. The receptionist was kind and professional. The doctor was exceptional and knew exactly what he was doing. He def took the time to assess the situation and was very attentive. The nurses or the staff that worked below the doctors were exceptional and absolutely made the experience easy. Two in particular were very caring and made sure I was taken care of asap. I would recommend this place to anyone and I will def refer family and friends here.Thank you Medstar!

Sunday of Thanksgiving weekend. Made appointment online and original quote of 2 1/2 hour wait wound up being 5 hours, but they provided text updates along the way. Busy day with only one doctor on staff. The Dr. was matter-of-fact but that’s OK. Compassionate and attentive staff, especially Dawn.

They took excellent care of me when I was sick with Covid 19Cant say enough good things about them.

Great experience and grateful for the competent & thoughtful care. Very convenient. Good/comforting in knowing we have a clinic close/accessibile/open. In cold/flu season, call ahead to schedule. They send text message confirming/updating appointment times.Their quality assurance program is just a bit much, but at least they have a quality assurance program. (You’ll know what I mean)Bottom line, on a weekend I walked in off the street and in 5 minutes had competent care from a good doctor.

Anything but pretty not care. The people are nice enough but they are seriously understaffed. We checked in ahead online for an appointment at 6:15 and we weren’t seen until 7:30.

I went in with a hurt foot that happened late in the day. I walked in 15 mins before their closing time and everyone was so pleasant and caring. I didnt not feel like they were annoyed or trying to rush me out. Ive been at this location several times before too and I get the same amazing treatment every time!

Not sure how they charge money for the very poor care they give here. The doctor couldnt have cared less for a patient. The nurse and desk people were nice though.

I was treated for a dislocated finger. Every staff member ( from front desk to x- ray to doctor) was professional, caring and provided good medical care. I was pleasantly surprised - they called to follow up a few days later .

Brought my 5 month old here who had cold symptoms. Staff, nurses and doctors were very friendly and professional. I called ahead to schedule an appointment. Paperwork was reasonable. And wait time was pretty much nonexistent since I called ahead. We were probably in and out in about 30- 40 minutes. And there’s plenty of free parking.

I had an appointment at this office once, with Dr. Gold. I decided to schedule my checkup here since I am newly insured by MedStar Family Choice & I was looking for a new primary doctor that was close-by & in my provider network. Youd think that basically being endorsed by my new insurance company would mean that this location is a quality health care facility. I shouldve known better when i saw that this is more like a walk-in clinic than a Drs. office. The wait to see the Dr wasnt long, but personally, when I met with him, I felt like Dr. Gold didnt listen to me or allow me to explain at length what issues i was having and my ideas on dealing with them. Perhaps because of the nature of my issue; I was kind-of brushed off, seemed to come up against a he doesnt know whats good for him, kinda attitude and overall I left feeling disappointed & angry that I wasnt heard or helped. In the future Ill find a primary doctor that has their own practice, not one named after my insurance company. (not that I have any issue with my insurance company, theyve been great so far.) Anyway, that was rambling, but I hope this helps someone.EDIT 5/2019:since my last visit I have been again for general health check-ups and doctor goal has always been helpful, I think I was going through a tough time before most likely. I would recommend this doctors office, its clean & new. The prompt Care next door is helpful as well.

Took my 2 year old last night . They saw her within a couple minutes . Everyone was so nice and helpful and friendly ans doctor diagnosed my daughter and she is good as new with medicine prescribed!

Took 4 days to get the results of my long range strep test only after calling and calling. When I did call, I was given the run around that they couldnt tell me the results because dr hadnt signed off and said to please do so as soon as possible. Was only given the results for Strep A, even though most long range tests for all types of strep. When asked about the other types, was put on hold for 20 MINUTES! Eventually hung up and called back and was told now their long range only tests for A. I have been diagnosed with B in the past and it would be helpful to be tested for that too. Now I need to spend another $30 co-pay to attend another urgent care that has more thorough strep throat testing! I wont be returning.

I felt very welcomed by the front desk attendants, and the staff members that saw me along with the Doctor were all informative and courteous.

There is a long wait even after saving the spot online! They need to be provided with additional nurse or doctor instead of one Dr management. There should be a wait limit per patient so the patients limit their queries or questions !!

I had never been in and out of an urgent care in 45 minutes, but I was today! Excellent, efficient, friendly care. I will use this facility again if the need arises.

I booked online appointment for a minor skin rash due to allergic reaction which was not getting better. The online appointment system is very easy and straight forward to use. It allows to pick very precise time slots but I was sceptival that I will still have to wait. The system sent me text with reminder if you opt for. When I arrived I was greeted with very friendly staff. The paper work was very simple and it took 5 min for the check in process and pay the required copay as per your insurance Immediately after checkin nurse recorded my vitals and I was asked to wait in exa I action room for doctor. The doctor showed up in 2-3 minutes. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Diagnosed and wrote prescriptions direct to my pharmacy. I was out in 20 minutes headed to my pharmacy and my prescription was ready. This is exactly how the health care should be and kudos to all the care providers for a great experience.

Today I visited this facility for the third time in three weeks - for the flu, sinus infection and cut finger that would not stop bleeding. The staff were friendly and the doctor first rate. I happened to see Dr. Raval on all three visits and she provided excellent care. I would not hesitate in recommending this doctor and Medstar to those needing medical care.

I’ve visited this location twice now. Each time there has been very little wait, I have been treated with kindness and respect, and I have felt comfortable and confident about the care I received. As a trans-identified person, receiving healthcare can be very challenging. The staff of this location have been wonderful and the doctor I saw on this visit seemed well versed and educated in my needs and treated me with dignity and respect. This has NOT been my experience at other healthcare locations. I cannot recommend them enough and this will be my go to office for non emergent healthcare needs.

I’ve been to MedStar Promptcare in the past and have always had wonderful care. This is definitely my go to when needed. Was seen today and everyone was so nice and caring from receptionist Betsy to the medical assistants Tasatha and Sharella (hope I’m spelling names correctly). And Dr. Greger. I’ve been fortunate to see him in the past and was happy he was there today. I had to wait a good bit but I don’t mind. He’s excellent and so good about explaining everything. I’ve taken other family members here and have recommended to others numerous times. Thank you to everyone there.

When you don’t feel good, the last thing you want is lack of treatment or compassion. Staff, nurses and doctors at this location are a uperb! They listen closely to your symptoms, examined you, then off you go with meds (if needed) ready for pick up at your pharmacy of choice. There are 2 facilities within 5 min of my house, but will drive the extra 15 min to recieve top of the line care.Thank you Medstar and Medstar Prompt Care!!!

The staff is very professional and friendly. Dr. Greger took the time to review information with me, ask questions and listen to my concerns.

Very long wait.I almost walked out, after been there for 2 and a half hrs waiting for a appointment that took five minutes.

Wasted my time and gave priority to those who checked in online.I was there from 530pm and wasnt seen by the doctor till 9:30pm.Very disappointed.
