Dr Dryden-Edwards at first seems like a good Dr. However after seeing her for 10-12 months about 10 years ago I realized that she doesnt really understand how to treat patients with severe mental issues. When she didnt know how to treat me she would send me to the Emergency Room which just wasted more time. Another time she sent to me to see another Dr which was also a waste of time and money since this other Dr didnt take insurance. I concluded she is incompetent in her psychiatry field because her M.O. is to send you off to see another doctor when she cant handle it. I ditched her and went to see a resident Dr at Johns Hopkins who helped me the most.

She is a very harsh and judgmental person. She is also known to prescribe medicine based on relationships with pharasuticals companies. I used to be her patient a few years ago and still now when I see other medical professionals they cannot believe the stuff she prescribed. At least I did not get any symptoms unlike the other person who wrote a review on here. Ive been meaning to write a review for the past two years because people going through any level of mental illness should not have to go through her. Especially her attitude.

This office has gone completely downhill since the departure of Dr. Glasser who was the sole reason I began going to this practice. I have been a patient of Dr. Glasser since 2001 and also saw therapist Mary Rouse. Mary charged me for a missed appointment when I got sick the week before my wedding, and the ensuing negotiation over the missed appointment fee after having been a patient so long made me cease therapy sessions with her. I continued seeing Dr. Dryden-Edwards until today when I called to reschedule my appointment for tomorrow am due to the fact that I am six months pregnant, experiencing a complication and my OB instructed me to come into his office first thing tomorrow morning. The receptionist informed since its less than 24 hours I will be charged a missed appointment fee unless I bring a note from my OBGYN. Because thats totally on the top list of priorities of mine when I go to the OB tomorrow morning. AM I 12?Bottom line is that this office does not care about their patients, they care about their paychecks. GO ELSEWHERE. I have NEVER been this appalled by the treatment of patients by a doctors office, not to mention a PSYCHIATRY office.

Should not even give this one star..... Same thing happened to me with the stupid scam of a 95 dollar charge. Assuming that if I make sure my insurance covers the visit before hand would be a good idea was stupid....i guess. I asked before hand if i was covered, they said yes, i paid my copay, then I was billed and almost sent to collections. The doctors dont spend more than 2 minutes with you and they are very dry. Knowing that psychiatrists are not psychologists; I did not expect to have a full convo about my problems and I knew they were simply going to prescribe something for me, but not being good at speaking to people is a problem. The place is small and uninviting and though busy is good, its not well managed. Obviously will not go back.

Wait times are typically long and then you are rushed through your appointment, and allotted only a few minutes to review important medical information. Dr. Dryden-Edwards practice left me feeling like the bottom line is much more important to them than helping patients in need of care.

First let me say that I had been a patient of Dr. Edwards sense at least 2006.Having said that.You would probably be better off going with anyone else. I am a male who developed breasts on Invega. And I had spent years trying to find out why. In 2013 i found out that invega can do this to men. I told Dr. Edwards and confirmed this.This is something she should have caught, a guy getting breasts, i feel, is something that a Doctor should find, a patient shouldnt have to know more then the Doctor. It is also ver frustrating when she only spends 5 minutes with you and only asks one question before writing the same script as last time.I eventually stopped going to Doctor Edwards. Just recently, ( 5/4/2014) i got a single letter from her office, stating that i have a unpaid balance of 95.00, then next day ( 5/5/2014) i got another letter warning that i had gotten several letters and that if i did not contact them with in the next ten days they would send collections on me.I am calling them today (5/6/2014).So basicly, if you are looking for a new or another codeine doctor, then shes great, few questions asked, just as long as you pay. If you want a doctor that will help you to get pills that will actually help, and ask the right questions, or even pretend to care. Then go to any one else. A bar down the street might even be better.

This place CRAZY. Doctors are very old, very ugly, and very stupid. Beware. Last time I went a client was arrested and handcuffed in the office.This was my LAST Appointment.
