I have had severe hip pain for over a year. I had several doctors believe my hip muscle was torn and put me on medicine. I love the staff at Ability Chiropractor. They are personable and genuinely show interest in your overall well being. I’ve noticed significant changes since I’ve started regular visits, including decreased stomach issues, increased energy, and possibly better circulation (hands/feet don’t “fall asleep” as quickly or as often as they used to). Additionally, my initial X-ray showed that my head was slightly tilted (which I’d noticed in pictures over the last few years) and now the tilt is not as prominent as it was. I am indeed grateful and appreciative of their service.

I have been going to Ability Chiropractic since Feb. 2021 and I can honestly say it has helped me feel better. I suffer from chronic migraines and with weekly visits they have decreased. I sleep better, and I have more energy throughout the day. The staff is wonderful and very friendly. They make you feel welcome and are very accommodating if you have a busy schedule.

Ive had chiropractic care in the past, but not to the level received here at Ability Chiropractic. My wife and I have received adjustments at the Worthington and Gahanna locations. All the doctors and staff are very personable and caring, not only about your health, but, your life in general. My mobility has increased exponentially and havent had knee problems after the first month. Ive suffered from knee problems for several years due to sports injuries and working construction for 40 years. I may sound like a homer with nothing but great things to say, but, the care Ive received through Ability, is second to none. I still see my primary care physician regularly, but, Ive never been one to rely on medication unless absolutely necessary. Do yourself a favor and give them a try! You wont regret it!

I’m 63 and went to correct a pinched nerve. Found out I had much bigger issues. After one treatment I immediately began to feel better. After a few visits my range of motion has increased and I don’t experience bouts of dizziness. I highly recommend a visit if you are feeling discomfort and back issues especially. Oh yeah. I’ve been to several other chiropractors but none have I felt such great positive energy when I walk in the door as I do at Ability Gahanna. All the doctors are great and they’ve set out a specific plan for my healing. It’s not just an adjustment when I feel bad. Some of the best adjustments happen when I’m already feeling great. I was impressed with Ability Chiro from the very first phone call before my appointment. I had some concerns about what infection control practices were in place given the ongoing pandemic. I was pleasantly surprised to receive a call back from Dr. Brien to address my concerns personally. When I finally made it in for my first appointment, I noted that they were genuinely interested in hearing about my past experience with chiropractic care and addressing the specific issues I was facing. I felt confident in their medical knowledge. I did not feel I was being “upsold” or marketed to for additional unnecessary treatments, tests or services. The most valuable thing about Ability Chiro Gahanna is that the treatment plan WORKED! 100% it worked! I had constant neck pain and tingling that dramatically improved after the first month of adjustments. After a few more months it resolved. Ive suffered with chronic back pain most of my adult life after being involved in a terrible car wreck. For the most part I had just decided to live with the pain as my normal as nothing really seemed to help. I had physical therapy immediately following the accident and regular massage therapy over the years as well as different medications. Although massage therapy did help, I still had substantial backpain on a daily basis that was preventing me from doing day-to-day tasks. Fast forward to a little less than year ago I finally decided that maybe this didnt have to be my normal. That maybe back pain didnt have to be a part of my daily life. I threw caution to the wind and decided to try chiropractic work. I really had no opinion on chiropractic work, whether I thought it worked or not or whether it was legitimate. On my very first visit, I limped in with serious back pain, barely able to get to my appointment. I was doubtful that I could be fixed. That same visit, I walked out pain-free with a plan for continuing my journey back to health. As a mother of three young kids, going to the chiropractor seemed luxurious, selfish even, but I was wrong. Where do I start?Prior to learning anything about the benefits of chiropractic care, we decided to have bilateral ear tubes placed in our toddler’s ears for recurring ear infections. Even AFTER having the ear tubes placed, our son continued to battle with ear infections and just overall irritation in his ears- it was so sad to see. He’d wake up every night digging in his ears because they were bothering him so much. Some times this would cause bleeding. There once was a time that he was sent to the school nurse because he was bothering his ears so badly and they weren’t sure what was wrong with him.About 2 years ago, after the ear tubes had already been placed, I learned about the benefits of chiropractic care and how kids with recurring ear infections benefit from seeing a chiropractor . We were stationed in NC at the time (military family), so we started off seeing a chiropractor there. There was no treatment “game plan” put in place, so we kind of just showed up sporadically to get him adjusted. They used a sort of clicker tool and never manually adjusted him. While this was a great start, he showed no improvement and he still suffered from the same issues with his ears with no end in sight.Our son was still very much so bothered by his ears with no improvement.Fast forward to the fall of 2020, we moved to Columbus and started coming to ability chiropractor almost immediately. My mom received adjustments from them regularly and had nothing but great things to say! I knew that I wanted to continue chiro care for our son, so I knew exactly where to take him. During his first adjustment, we discussed the issues he had been having with his ears and that he already had bilateral ear tubes and had seen a chiro previously with no improvement. Together, we came up with a plan to bring our son on a regular basis. They told me that they may some times use a clicker tool for his adjustments, but most of the time he would be adjusted manually...... in the very beginning he would still bother his ears at night, but after taking him to be adjusted consistently over the course of a few short months he made a drastic turn around!! I cannot remember the last time he has complained about his ears during the day or night. Needless to say, he has not woken up out of his sleep to bother his ears in several months!I have an 8 year old bonus son who does not live with us throughout the year, but comes to visit regularly. He has been diagnosed with a hyperactive disorder and was previously medicated to treat it. We started seeking out better ways to help him. We took him in for his first appointment with ability and they teamed up with us to create a game plan for our son. When he is here visiting, he will receive his adjustments. We were also encouraged to take him to brain balance, which is a program tailored to children with imbalance disorders. This program teaches us that many times one side of our brain is overactive and does not “turn off” as it should, resulting in common disorders like ADD, learning disorders, ADHD, etc. that plague our childhood population today. This program creates a treatment plan for your child that includes different activities to strengthen the side of the brain that is lagging or perhaps teach the other side of the brain to “stop” when it should (for lack of better terminology). He will be having his consultation when he returns to visit and we will be developing a plan for him to complete that program-without medicationWe also take our 10 month old for regular adjustments. It seems that he always has a great bowel movement right after his adjustment and takes the best nap of his little life! This is significant because sleep and bowel movements are two very touchy topics in this age group. I believe that he will avoid having the same issues experienced by his older brothers because we are starting him out early with regular spine adjustments. We will continue bringing our kids regularly because we now know that chiropractic care benefits every system in our bodies, not just our necks and backs.

I was having some serious issues with my neck and back. After visiting Ability Chiropractic and seeing my x-rays of a curvature, I immediately made consistent appointments for adjustments. After only a few visits, I had more movement and less pain. I’m not one to pop a pill every time I have pain, so the alternative of chiropractic care has been amazing! I love the fact that I can do the exercises at home on the days I’m not getting adjusted!Thank you Ability Chiropractic, this has been a life changing experience!

We have had tremendous success bringing both of our boys to Ability Chiropractic! Our first son was 7 months old and still not sleeping through the night. This is an amazing facility. For weeks I suffered with neck stiffness. While driving with my kids, I experienced vertigo. The vertigo continued for several days. Going to Ability Chiropractic, explaining my symptoms they discovered the root of my issue; treatment began. After about 2 adjustments my neck started to loosen up. After 3 adjustments my vertigo started disappearing. Adjustment 4 it was completely gone. Staff is very caring and informative. They do not look for a quick fix but help you to understand your body can heal itself. I highly recommend visiting.

I highly recommend giving this place a try!!

Went to Ability Chiropractic for a bad back pain & I’m on week 3 of my chiropractic plan and It already feels like it’s completely gone. Would definitely recommend to someone who is in weight lifting or sports with muscle pain.

I needed to spend 10 weeks at Ability after a rough car accident. Dr Brien were so friendly and knowledgeable about everything. He walked me through each step so I could know not only what he was doing, but WHY. He helped me fully recover and gave me new practices and tools for home to help speed up the process. In a firm believer in natural cures as a first line of defense when needed, and preventive care when all possible.I also had a chance to work with Dr Jakes a few times and he was awesome as well. Madison at the front desk was always friendly and easy to work with. The scheduling and reminders and super convenient. Just an all around wonderful experience.

I was so surprised the first time I walked in. Everything seemed modern and purposeful, and Dr. Brien, Dr. Jakes, and Madi are so nice. Every week they ask me about something I mentioned the week before. I’m pretty sure they remember more about my life than I do ;) But most importantly my lower back and neck mobility has gotten better. I’m more aware of my posture, too, which is an added bonus!

I feel tremendously better since I have started going to see Ability . My back and neck feel great.

This is an amazing team! Dr. Brien & Dr. Jakes are excellent caregivers, and Madison does an incredible job managing the office. Most of my co-workers are also patients, and its because of the wow experience we all get at Ability. What I love more than the excellent chiropractic care I receive (and its amazing- as a former skeptic, I really appreciate the time they took to walk me through the need and process for chiropractic, and I am feeling and moving so much better now), Dr. Brien, Dr. Jakes and Madison treat me like a friend- they ask about whats going on in my life, and remember details and ask for updates even if its been awhile since Ive been in. Go for the expert care, stay for the new friends youll have!

I called ahead to make sure there would be no out of pocket expenses on my initial visit. Long story short, Im getting letters from collections now because I refuse to pay liars.

Dr. Brien and Dr. Jakes have truly been a Godsend for me. When I first started attending I had been waking up with; headaches, sinuses, vertigo and horrible sleep patterns. Within a month of attending twice a week my headache went away and I have been sleeping like a baby. My vertigo has tried to return but its no where debilitating as it had been. And I can tell its practically gone. Although the weather change can cause my sinuses and allergies to flare up- they have greatly improved. Im so looking forward to seeing what the next couple of months will do for me!!!

Fantastic group that takes the time to address all concerns

I started going to the Gahanna office from a recommendation from another patient and Im so happy I went with this office. I had been in search of a chiropractor for a few months after trying a number of other things to help with pain management and I couldnt have found a better fit. I have finally started to get relief and see improvement. I have been suffering from chronic headaches for over 2 years and back pain since I was a teenager so its been slow, which I expected with the length of time Ive had these issues, but still progressive compared to everything else Ive tried. They have been helpful and educational in all aspects of the treatment plan, they are kind and attentive. Its a very comfortable environment and they truly care about their patients wellbeing, outside of appointments as well. I couldnt have made a better choice for chiropractic care.

I’ve been a regular client of Dr. Brien at Ability Chiropractic’s location in Westerville and I would highly recommend him to anyone (I often do). When I first came to Ability, I was in terrible shape and very apprehensive about receiving chiropractic care. Like most people, I had heard horror stories and it made me hesitant to try it for myself. Dr. Brien was the first person I spoke with and he instantly made me feel at home and comfortable. After many questions and X-rays I had my first adjustment and now I can’t live without them! If you are skeptical but living in pain, at least schedule a consultation. After meeting Dr. Brien and seeing how passionate he is about his profession as well as his vast knowledge, you won’t give it a second thought. I’m so glad I took the leap of faith and I will continue to be a repeat client of Ability Chiropractic. I’ll probably have to drive to Gahanna every so often to see Dr. Brien too! :P
