What a great facility. Went here for a birthday party. It is kid friendly. It has water that is just right for young swimmers. It has water slide for a more mature crowd. The little slide and mushroom are great for youngsters.

Nice and clean. Lady at the front was very helpful. Even signed my children and I up for a membership.

I’ve never been to a YMCA where the front desk staff is so rude for no seemingly obvious reason. My family is brand new to town and since the first day I came in to inquire about price not one worker who sits at the front has been polite at all. The workers at the fall festival were all really nice and helpful, but I haven’t seen any of them since that day when I have come in :(

If I could give this place zero stars, I would. One star is a very generous review.

The website does not say South Carolina. We signed up and paid thinking it was Cherokee County GA. Not a big deal right just contact them and get my money back.Update they did refund my payment. Thank you.

Silver sneakers is a great experience. Ree Barton. Who leads the 9:15 am class makes it so much fun while giving us a great whole body workout.

Excellent gym and a great gym to work out in. Theyve got a daycare for parents with younger kids to stay while parents go to the gym. The people who work in the daycare are always friendly and our youngest daughter loves going to the Y daycare. The entire family enjoys the pool area.

Healthy, safe and good selection of fitness gear

Nice, very clean y, friendly staff, very busy certain times, lots of traffic on Saturdays during winter, due to basketball and volleyball. Enjoyable place for sure!

My kids go to their summer program and after school program as well. the ceo is always great to deal with and makes himself available for questions or concerns. the staff is always nice also.

Great place to go workout. They have a lot of different machines and weights. Sauna, little water park, outdoor track, a kids room, several different classes, and you can get in the indoor pool at limestone with your Y pass

Great gym and nice weight room. Would be 5 stars but theres not really anything for a child under 15 to do. Also you can forget usuing the basketball court on Sunday. Theyre always about 5 or 6 kids with no respect running a full court game. Doesnt matter if Im running drills with my kids they will come straight thru and bust it up. Needs to be policed better (unless its changed havent been back on a Sunday for this reason in a few months) and Saturdays during January and February cant use the basketball court because of youth basketball league. But the weight room is still open. If you want to use a pool you have to use the one thats at limestone college on certain days which is about a 10 min drive away.

Just visited this YMCA. They have one woman who seems to be the only one there with exception of a male custodian cleaning the bathroom area while I was changing. Never even announced himself. No towels offered had to ask for a lock for the locker. Steam room you have to turn on yourself and wait for it to get warm. Very dim lights in the gym and the hot tub is set to 100°. Ridiculous very unprofessional and uninformative. If this were my regular YMCA I would not be a member.

The Cherokee Co. YMCA charges $45 a month for an individual membership. A $45 sign up fee is also required. At nearly $600 a year, a Cherokee Co. YMCA membership will cost up to 500% more than a membership at other area gyms and fitness facilities. Some 20 miles down Hwy. 29, a Golds Gym membership is $10/month. Even Your Best Body, also in Gaffney, is a bargain at $31 a month.

They are awesome with kids. The sports are fair and inexpensive. And they let everyone play in the games.

I wanted to get a membership with the Gaffney SC YMCA to continue working out. Memberships are 45$ which is outrageous but Im Military and they dont even offer a discount unless I was to deploy soon which would be a waste of my time even if I was to deploy. So I spoke with Duncan and Spartanburg YMCA and they offered me a free membership yes it cost extra gas money but it is well worth it because they respect military service members which I applaud for. I will never recommend anyone to Gaffney YMCA.

Nice facility but it seems they dont care much for vets or men in general. Just my experience ymmv.
