Our family has visited this practice for knees, hands, feet, and shoulders over the past 7 years. Dr. Michelsen has operated on me alone 3 times. He is very personable and provides great care. He always explains what’s going on in a manner that a layperson can understand.The staff is also very accommodating, helpful, and friendly. I don’t feel like I’m bothering them if I ask a question or need something from them. I recommend this practice to anyone who needs good orthopedic care.

Dr. Douthit is a very thorough physician, taking time during visit to get a complete background to find cause of pain. He was willing to take time to describe all treatment options, allowing me to start with most minimal treatment instead a typical surgeon who just wants to “cut”. He used to treat my kids when they were in athletics and is just as good at treating me, a middle aged overweight female with a knee issue

Dr. Douthit is wonderful. He is currently dealing with my fall accident. aHe did my husbands ACL surgery. He was moving better than other friends about 3 weeks post surgery while friends who had surgery months before him still having difficulty. we have also used Dr. Noack. He reconstructed both my daughters ankles after being a cheerleader for years. She walks fine and no scars.

I came here for a pretty intense ankle sprain and it is still affecting my quality of life with immobility and daily pain almost two years later. I am posting this as I lie here awake another night because the sheets from the bed pull on my foot causing discomfort. I still cannot dorsiflex my foot or touch my knee to the wall and the lack of full mobility affects me with pain all the way up to my hip by the end of each day.The doctor did nothing during each of my visits for a span of 9 months, aside from the initial boot. Complete waste of money. I was continually told that my Achilles was just tight when that is not the case. My foot locks before my Achilles maxes out. I was treated as if my pain was imaginary and there was nothing wrong even though the eventual MRI showed otherwise.I eventually went to a podiatrist who was able to give some relief with steroid shots and taping.I’m afraid that due to the minimal treatment I received here during critical months, this injury will never heal.

Dr. Douthit is an excellent orthopedic surgeon/doctor. Not only did he focus on the issue at hand (no pun intended), he also took the time to verify full range of motion. Other orthopedic doctors I’ve visited just focus on the issue causing pain and move you out of the office as quick as possible. Dr. Douthit took the time and compassion to explain/understand causes, expectations and options thoroughly. Very highly recommended.

Dr Douthit has done surgery on both my shoulders now. I suffered injuries from sports in my youth that were never properly cared for and eventually time and age caught up with me.He takes the time to fully explain every part of the process. Answers questions and makes sure to explain it in terms you can understand.His physical therapy team is part of the practice and again they are just as stellar as Dr Douthit’s office staff. Ashis Patel is the person I saw for both my shoulder recovery and again always available to answer questions and advise on how to do home exercises without all the equipment they have at the PT office.I highly recommend Dr Douthit and his team if you need anything orthopedic.

Lets just say theres a reason I was meant to go here... I had a crazy random leg injury on a Monday & went into New orthopedic DR Douthit, for a checkup...by suggestion & guesstimate, he thought I had a blood clot! I went straight to ER! Have I never saw Dr Douthit, I might not be here. Clots were found in my injured leg and in my lungs. Stayed in hospital several days...I trust him & office team. Iam more than greatful :)

I just had my ACL replaced and two Miniscus repaired, let me tell you between Dr. Douthit and Dr. Milwee these two are a dream team!! I have used the nerve block and very little pain killers and I an 4 days out of surgery with no pain. If you need a knee repair I highly suggest this team. They are by far the best. I hear from Dr. Milwee daily on my pain level and status. I have also heard from Dr. Douthirs office daily checking on my status. This is am amazing team.

Would not call back to book an appointment again. I booked an appointment & had to miss it as I have the Flu virus that is going around. I woke up to a voice mail letting me know that they would not be rescheduling the appointment without a $25 fee for missing my initial visit. First of all, i am a new patient. That being said, there are many other more cordial ways to make this call. It was abrasive and uninviting. PLEASE do not get me wrong, I worked in a surgeons office for 3 years, i know it is kind of a bummer when new patients miss their visit, however, i can not fathom calling and leaving a message letting them know they must pay a fee to reschedule.That being said, when i made my call initially, they were quick to get me in and very polite and helpful over the phone. The voicemail that i was left, however, was hardly as welcoming.I wish Id have been at my appointment and not in bed asleep with a 104 fever, but hey, we all play the cards we are dealt. & again, after my experience scheduling surgeries and dealing with patients for years, i just can not imagine calling and leaving a message demanding a fee be paid. Poor customer service in the end, I mean, i hadnt even signed paperwork or met with them. At least try and get me back in your doors before you hit me with policy That i hadnt yet acknowledged.

Mike and Dr. Michaelson are a great team! They keep me educated as a patient and make me feel comfortable! The front office runs proficiently and professionally. Dr. Michaelson and his assistant are wonderful... there is no doubt about that. Typically when I go in everyone is very friendly and the office is efficient. I have seen them regularly & my big complaint is I am very disappointed in their front desk. I do the same job as they do at a different doctors office and if I treated clients anything like they have I would not have a Job. I just wish the supportive staff was just as helpful as the doctor and his assistant.

Dr Michelsen and his Assistant Mike are such a great team! They are not only thorough but have the bedside manner that makes such great Healthcare providers. This is the second time I have had to be a patient here and all procedures were discussed with me to my comfort level. You will not be disappointed if you are fortunate enough to be their patient. If you have surgery they are there for you every step of the way. Dr Michelsen found something of concern on an x-ray that had nothing to do with my visit but suggested I speak to my PCP for further testing which I did and fortunately it was not anything to worry about. The fact that he took the time to explain it and refer me for a test, well, I was blown away. Thank you Dr Michelsen and Mike for getting me thru two very scary times in my life! Bless you both!I would be remiss if I didn’t say Dr M and Mike’s kindness continues to trickle down to the office staff as well. They are all very sweet and actually care about their patients as well. Five people in my family have seen Dr. Michelsen and his assistant Mike. We love them because theyre great people and theyre fantastic at what they do. Just from our crew, he has dealt with: 1. shoulder surgery 2. knee surgery 3. car accident hand and elbow injury that led to hand surgery 4. cut open bottom of foot badly - stitches and infection management 5. a horribly fractured talus bone where the hospital said my son just sprained it, I went to Dr Michelsen and he immediately found the fracture. - We will all continue to take our injuries to him because hes 5/5 for us right now. Hopefully we dont add to the list... :)

I went to OASIS b/c they had sports associated with their title and I assumed that would be a good thing. I needed surgery on a knee from a piece of cartilage stuck in my meniscus. Dr. Michelson was assigned to the issue. He kept pushing extremely hard that I should do an extremely new surgery procedure called carticel. Its a very invasive surgery with a 1.5 year recovery period. I thought that seemed incredibly extreme. He told me if we just did the surgery to remove the cartilage then I would still be in so much pain that it would be unbearable in a year. I still said Id think about it even though he kept telling me that was the wrong decision. It was like a car salesman. I saw another doctor later that showed me Dr. Michelson was trying to become a local carticel specialist and had only done 3 of them and wanted more for his resume. This other doctor told me he thought it was a crazy procedure. That WAS EIGHT YEARS AGO. Today I feel great. Im incredibly active physically and my training has no pain or mobility issues. Oh. I should also mention that after the surgery I had a very sharp pain down the tendon on the outside of my leg. The physical therapist told me that usually shouldnt happen but it seems TO ALWAYS HAPPEN WITH DR. MICHELSONS PATIENTS! Stay away from this place unless you want to be upsold into something unnecessary for a doctors personal reputation. Oh I should also mention he kept trying to say I needed shoe inserts b/c I had pronation to the inner part of my foot. Ive run all my life and been analyzed by several gait specialists. They all say he is crazy.

I broke my hand, more specifically some bones in my hand. Dr. Douthit and his team did a thorough examination and he then outlined all of my treatment options. Thru my work and personal experience I exposed to a lot of physicians and Dr. Douthit is one of the best. He did not steer my treatment to pad his bill, he outlined a plan after discussing with me, the patient. The best compliment I can give is that I trust him and his recommendations.

Dr Douthit did both of my shoulders and I have full range of motion in each. In fact, my range of motion is better than when I was a young adult. Dr Douthit is a perfectionist and his work proves it.
