Dr. Matt Rostami saved my vision in my left eye! I woke up one day with a hole in my retina, and my awesome neurological optometrist Dr. Shidlofsky called Dr. Rostami and got me an appointment immediately. He said Dr. Rostami was the best. Two days later I had emergency surgery and he expertly closed the retinal hole. Im so grateful to Dr. Rostami!

Excellent Doc! Mahdi was recommended by a local prescription specialist who noticed a freckle in my retina. Fairly common occurrence for blue-eyed fair-skinned Irish folk. The problem starts when it grows and moves close to the optic nerve. Anyway, Doc. Rostamizadeh dilated the pupils and ran through a series of image measurements. He pulled them up on the computer screen and explained what we were looking at in great detail. He has an excellent manor with patients. The final kicker: hes got a full size pool table in the waiting room. Just dont dilate too soon, itll make the game a lot tougher!

When I had a detached retina, I searched through several doctors for emergency surgery. Madhi was recommended by another doctor, and he got the surgery scheduled, performed it, and did follow-up. I am very grateful to him and his friendly staff. He literally saved my sight.

Dr Rostami truly cares about his patients. Something I like, and I imagine he adjusts to each client, is that for me he gets the visit done thoroughly but timely so I can get back to the rest of my day. It has also been the case that I rarely have to wait long to get called into the exam room.Dr roatami is very personable but also is very straight forward with his assessments but at the same time isn’t rude or forceful.For reference I have seen him monthly for I believe about a year now. My issues are improving and it appears we are saving my vision from failure. I certainly, although it probably shouldn’t always be expected, see better now than I did a year ago.y blurry vision is gone and I don’t feel the pressure in my right eye that I did prior to beginning treatment.I would recommend Dr. Rostami to anyone that asked, and I have a long family tree of physicians that I draw my conclusions from.

Dr. Rostami really did an amazing job in determing the root cause of my issue with just a few tests and recommended me on the next steps. I truly appreciate and trust his judgement. His office set up is very professional and hygienic. I would highly recommend him.

Dr. Rostrami was professional, courteous, and most of all knowledgeable. He asked questions to seek to u sedated what my issues were and was thorough in explaining each test, picture, or whatever it was concerning my eye. His office was also clean, modern and hip. Not to mention they only allowed one patient in the waiting area at a time, wiped down the equipment and seats prior to sitting and were friendly. The receptionist was very helpful when my GPS didn’t directly being me to his office.

1st off I want to state that I rarely ever write reviews unless I really feel the need to. I have been meaning to write this for a while now but havent come around to. By reading all these good comments I am saddened to share mine. We did not have such a good experince here at all. My dad decided to go to this doctor all on his own and had his 1st ever eye surgery with him....lets just say I wish I could have known sooner. When I 1st met this doctor I didnt find either him or the assistant friendly at all, everytime we went we got the same cold vibe but my dad insisted that it would be rude to change doctors and such so when it came to the procedure.... It failed and we had to be referred to another doctor that honestly was best thing this doctor could have done. Its easy to say sometimes procedures fail but something just doesnt seem right with this one, if you are careless about doing something right you are obviously not going to get a good result. I will say this, because of our experience I would NEVER refer someone to this clinic

Dr. Rostami provided excellent care and service. He helped me recover from my eye injury throughout the week of Thanksgiving. He checked on my progress every day that week to make sure my eye healed as fast as possible. I really can’t thank him enough for his attentive care! I highly recommend this office to anyone that has concerns with their vision.

I highly recommend Dr. Rostami. He has a very compassionate bedside manner and is truly knowledgeable in his field. I had an urgent eye issue and he was able to see me within the hour. I appreciated his thorough follow-up as well. His staff is very friendly, and I immediately felt at ease walking into his office.

I was referred to Dr. Rostami for a detached retina by my optometrist and was granted an appointment at Lone Star Eye Specialists the same day. After an exam Dr. Rostami explained the urgency of my situation and scheduled me for surgery the following morning. His office worked quickly to secure an available surgery facility which were limited at the time due to Covid-19. Dr. Rostami took great care during several follow up visits, even on weekends. When he discovered a different area of my retina began to detach he was able to correct this in his clinic with a laser procedure. Today my vision is the same as it was before the detachment. I was glad to have Lone Star Eye Specialists in my corner throughout my recovery.

I’ve visited with Dr. Rostami twice within this year and I can say that I’ve been very impressed on both occasions. His office is very clean and pleasant. The pool table in the waiting area is a nice touch to pass the time while waiting, not that I had to wait long at all. His receptionist was warm, courteous, and friendly. I like Dr. Rostami because he really is genuinely interested in the health of my eyes. He was very thorough in my examinations and explained everything to me in detail as well as answering all of my questions. Dr. Rostami is a real gentleman and it has indeed been a pleasure being treated by him and having intellectual conversations with him. He’s a top notch professional and an all around good guy who’s making a great reputation for himself.

I highly recommend Dr. Rostami. I went to see him for a possible eye infection and my eye got back to normal after using the medication he prescribed. Additionally, he examined my eyes thoroughly, showed and explained his findings on the screen. He made me aware of potential problems and applied a preventive treatment. This doctor is careless..he’s hasn’t provided me with any solutions to my eye. He charges way too much and today his office sent me another bill. Look for elsewhere for your eye needs. It’s a waste of time here.

Recently I had an emergency with a partially detached retina. I went to Doctor Rostami’s practice Lonestar Retina Specialist and he did a repair. He explained everything that had to be done in terms that were easy to understand and made me feel at ease. I have been back for two follow up appointments and found his staff to be friendly and he is very thorough and spends the time to explain what needs to be done. I would and have recommended him to friends and neighbors.

I had a very scary problem with my retina occur at the beginning to the pandemic when everyone was shut down. And it happened on a Saturday. Recognizing the issue and its potential severity, my regular optometrist knew I need to see a specialist immediately. He reached out to Dr. Rostami on my behalf, and Dr. Rostami immediately agreed to meet me at his office. Dr. Rostami gave me a thorough examination and undertook a procedure to repair the damage to my retina. He was very thorough and skillful, and, just as important, compassionate during the entire process. I just had my six-month follow up with him, and all seems great. I would recommend and was very pleased with services provided. I was taken in within 30 minutes for an emergency eye condition after a call from my optometrist, even though it was 400pm on Friday.I was evaluated and had a laser procedure completed all within 1 1/2 hours. Dr. Rostami was excellent describing the diagnosis and needed procedure perfectly. Appropriate follow up visits were planned and I experienced nothing but great service at these visits. Additionally, the office was very clean and appropriate precautions were taken relating to COVID.

I suddenly started seeing flashes of light out of my left eye. I called Dr. Rostami ‘s office for an appointment and he made sure I was seen immediately. He was very courteous and knowledgeable. He dilated my eyes and performed sclera depression to make I didn’t have any retinal holes or tears that may lead to retinal detachment. He also has the latest technology to scan the back of my eyes to look for eye disease. He reassured me that my eyes were okay and recommended a follow up in one week. Went to this doctor while experiencing blurry vision in one eye. Wish I had not bothered. Thr fact he has a pool table in the waiting room tells you he probably spends more time playing pool than his job. After dilating my eyes and some invasive poking of my eyes he said he could not see what was wrong and sent me out the back of the bright building (covid exit though no one else in office to prevent going out front door) where I tripped due to my eyes being dilated.Long story short, I went to another specialist who identified that I had a brain tumor, of which I just had successful surgery.Avoid this ‘opthalmologist’ if you can, he doesn’t have a clue.

Dr. Rostami was very thorough and compasionate. My husband had a stroke an has lost sight in his left eye from it on top of having vision loss from his diabetes. Dr. Rostami is working to get the diabetes damage under control. Makes my husband feel very comfortable and hopeful. The staff is very caring and the facility awesome.
