After searching for speech therapists I found Summit Speech Therapy! The entire staff is wonderful from the beginning to completion of the sessions. The sessions are structured with excellent tools that fit a large age range. I would definitely recommend a combination of both remote and in person. Having remote sessions allowed me to see my therapists face and expressions while in person sessions were using those tools to sharpen my skills. (with masks on of course!). They accept a wide range or insurance policies so definitely check with them. A+ all the way! Thanks again!

I was quite hesitant to use speech therapy because I had many failed sessions previous to Summit Speech Therapy. My therapist, Amanda, was amazing! She accessed my needs and tailored them to techniques that actually worked for me. The sessions were very structured, which I thoroughly enjoyed, and filled with techniques that I began using immediately. Amanda was flexible and offered in- person AND remote appointments, which was great since The appointments occurred during my workday. Kalli was our therapist and she was wonderful, patient, kind, great with kids helping out with my sons tongue thrust and lisp issues. Amanda the owner is also very nice and Cheryl the receptionist is sweet as well! But definitely request Kalli, she is the one to get speech therapy treatment from. She was wonderful and beyond my expectations!

They not only diagnosed my 1 year old with autism, they did it in a letter to me after one 20 minute evaluation and spelled it incorrectly. I came for speech therapy for my child who was just a little behind. They also took over a week to return an evaluation.Update: They reached out to me and recognized the error.

This is a clean place. They keep everything sanitized and wipe down for next appointment very regularly. My son improved a lot in only 2 months. From saying only two words to saying while sentences, colors, shapes, animals, emotions.I would definitely recommended them.

It has been a very long time since I have been treated as courteously, timely, and effectively in a health related facility as was the case in my visits to Summit Speech Therapy. (Waiting time in her reception room less than 5 minutes on every visit.) I have a progressive neuromuscular condition which is causing increasing difficulty in swallowing. It never occurred to me to see a speech therapist about this issue, nor did my neurologist make such a suggestion. I was with a group of other adults with the same neurological condition and several of them suggested that I see a speech therapist. A few minutes of research confirmed to me that speech therapists are trained, not only to correct speech issues, but also in the relief of swallowing and certain breathing difficulties. I made an appointment for an initial consultation with Amanda, the owner of the practice. She took an extremely thorough history, conducted a brief physical examination, and thoroughly explained to me what therapy she recommended as potentially helpful. Following the session she sent me a comprehensive summary of our meeting, her findings and a proposed treatment plan going forward. Because my situation was a little unusual for the normal practice of the other therapists in the office, she proposed doing my treatment sessions herself. The treatment plan contemplated 4 further sessions, but she was so efficient in the follow up treatments, that only 2 sessions were necessary. There was absolutely no attempt at selling further treatments or sessions. She taught me 3 different strategies to deal with swallowing difficulties if they occurred while I was eating, and one of them was perfect for my situation. Since the sessions I have had no difficulty in swallowing all of the food in my mouth and the danger of aspiration has been virtually eliminated. Her office accepts Medicare and took care of all of the billing and collection details.

A waste of time! I showed up to my scheduled initial evaluation with my toddler to meet with Amanda, but the place was closed. After I contacted her I decided to wait the 20 mins she said it will take her to arrive. I tried to be understanding because sometimes things happen that are out of our control so I was gracious about it. Once she showed up the evaluation went well and she did a great job at communicating with me about my childs needs and how they can help her. She then said to give her a 2-3 days to assign a therapist to my child and that she will schedule us to return the following week Thursday. By Wednesday I had not yet from them so I decided to send them a follow up email up to make sure the appointment was still on. She replied by asking me to give them a couple more days to assign a therapist and secure the schedule, which I didnt mind, although I wondered what wouldve happened if I had never contacted them and just showed up to the appointment. But anyhow, after that communication was sent I NEVER HEARD FROM THEM AGAIN. This is unacceptable, unprofessional, and it was a waste of my time. Its difficult enough to get two small children ready to be on-time for an early morning appointment, to then realize that the therapist is running late, then go through an entire evaluation, which lasted over an hour, not hear from them ever again. Unbelievable and highly disappointing!

Amanda is compassionate,supportive and amazing . My son loves her a lot. Its been a pleasure so far working with her. Our son has made very quick progress in last 6 months from almost nonverbal to taking in 4-5 word sentences now. I am very pleased with their efforts and happy to have made a right decision to go with them.I would highly recommend Summit Speech Therapy.

We have been bringing our son for a year to this clinic and I have found every individual with utmost professionalism and devotion. They go above and beyond to fulfill your needs and provide great support for their patients and the caregiver. They are very understanding in every aspect of customer service. The only drawback we have is that our house is not closer to their location. I recommend them to everyone I know.

I have known Amanda for many years and her sincerity and commitment to her profession amazes me . She is always willing to go out of her way to help. I have seen how much personal interest she took in my son when I told her about his vocal nodules. From offering to attend his ARD meetings to providing lots of supplemental info, her interest and care were very touching. Her involvement in the community is a lot. Amanda has been an excellence resource for our hearing impaired daughter. We had her come twice weekly this summer to help continue her speech therapy while school was out. We are very blessed to have Amanda in our lives. She is a phenomenal therapist who has developed a great rapport with my child in such a short time. My son is so fond of her and awaits anxiously for his session with her. He is so focused on his tasks that many times I forget that he is on ASD. My son is improving rapidly in the verbal communication skills, occasionally, telling small jokes, and picking up on subtle facial expressions and emotions like a stare. The sessions are lively and both are always in a happy mood before, during, and after the sessions. Amanda continuously fine tunes the goals to keep him challenged and interested. She is always sharing articles, news, and new treatment plans to help him progress. We are very hopeful that under her care, he will be a completely improved child in a few years.

Amanda is AU-MAZ-ZING! I cant say enough about the progress that my son has made in a short amount of time. When we started back in August of this year, he wasnt comfortable using words and had a difficult time learning them. She recognized what worked for him and tailored her approach to him and with her guidance, he has flourished.He now tries speaking even when he doesnt know all the words and his confidence is growing enough to where he doesnt shy away from other children when they try and talk to him. Hes even now comfortable going up to them and talking!Lasandra (sp?) at the front desk is wonderful too, both she and Amanda make my day with their humor and fun personalities. My kiddo loves coming there and Im so thankful how flexible they have been with my schedule and my inability to show up at the right time. Either wayyyyy too early or a bit late but its ok, my son loves sitting there and waiting for his turn. He never has that kind of patience for any other place but he honestly loves it here.They have worked around my scheduling because they understand my situation and it allows me to come take my son to his appointments later on the weekdays. Communication is great and she always updates me a bit after every session to let me know what theyre working on, how he did, and what theyre going to try out next time. She will even work with my kids school and their speech therapist to make sure theyre all on the same page with his therapy. I really appreciate having another person advocate for my son and what is best for him.With her advice, its helped me work with my son outside of his sessions and he is able to and likes to tell me how happy he is.**Update**It has been a little over a year now and the progress hes made is phenomenal. I am so proud of him and when I tell people that he barely spoke a year ago, nobody believes me! He started with 3 times a week, then down to 2, but now he goes once a week and is still making progress.There are new staff members since starting there but theyre still amazing. I honestly wouldnt expect any less from Amanda.I am so thankful for all the work that has gone into helping my kid, he is such a happy kid now that he can express himself and others can understand him.
