I have known Dr. Wood for nearly 20 years and is one of the most knowledgeable physicians I have ever worked with. What has impressed me the most and continues to impress me with each interaction I have with her over the years is her dedication to staying on top of cutting-edge research and technology. This dedication is a rarity in this field; I feel it reflects in her sincere and comprehensive approach to the unique needs each and every patient she touches. I believe having one of the most brilliant PAs in this field (Beverly Johnson) working with her only solidifies the caliber of trust I have in her, and everyone else in her office. I truly enjoy every visit, and always look forward to discussing all opportunities for continually improving my state of health and well-being. I encourage my friends and family to do the same and consider Dr. Wood and her staff to help them, too, to total wellness!

You will not find a doctor that is more knowledgeable or more caring than Dr. Wood! It’s amazing how much time she spends with you and listens to every detail you tell her. She’s amazing as well as her staff!!

I LOVE, LOVE Dr. Wood. The care Ive been given is so stellar that I drive an hour and a half for an appointment. Shes been my Dr. since 2015. She not only handles my Gynecological needs but I use her as my primary because she looks at your health in whole. She does not rush in and out. Instead, she takes the time to listen. I highly recommend her.

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!!!Everything was horrible! From the front desk staff lack of friendliness, the hurry in which the assistants did the vitals, the roughness of how an ultrasound was performed and to top it off the PA doctor coughing on you face for the whole consultation, NOT looking at your face while taking to you; And then when you addressed the not so pleasant way you were treated, she was very defensive, “apologized” because that was the only thing she could do, and when left the room she rolled her eyes. She thinks I didn’t see it. But guess what! SO RUDE!!!!Good thing this clinic is closing.

The woman at the front desk with black hair was very unfriendly. Everyone else made me feel pressured. I mentioned that I had an issue and I was told to use coconut oil. I have waited 1 week now and they still have not contacted me about whats wrong and it still is not resolved. To get put on HRT, I have 2 have 2 more appointments. No way. I cannot afford to take off work 3 times to get 1 issue resolved. It has been a week & I have called twice & they still cant give me the results. Now since they will not help, I must look for another doctor.

The doctors & staff at this clinic know their stuff, truly listen, and are very attentive to their patients! The doctors care and thoroughly examine your bloodwork/symptoms, recognizing deficiencies based off your age and life situations. Dr. Wood and Beverly never rush through an appointment and show genuine compassion. Frisco GYN & Wellness has changed my life for the better! I’ve been going here for 4 years and have referred several women who have had the same excellent experience.

Medical staff is actually REALLY great but front office staff is consistently not. No please, thank you, your welcome....a training surrounding basic manners might help spruce the place up. Overall, a great women’s office that really focuses on whole health! Wait times can be a little ridiculous...but most good offices are.

I liked the doctor, but her office staff, especially the office manager is a nightmare. The average wait for a visit is 1.5 hr after your scheduled time ( I had 3 visits in the past 3 months, 2 accompanying my daughter and one for me) and...They have no whatsoever respect for your schedule. I you complain, not only they unleash the rude office manager on you but they ask you to find another doctor...Which I am delighted to do. Good riddance!...Oh, I forgot...they represent themselves as good Christians.... Strange, as a child I was taught Christianity emphasized respect for your fellow men...Who knows, I might have missed the update... :-)

I called to make a new patient appointment and spoke with the front office staff. She was able to schedule me quickly with the PA. She stated they do pap smears annually and I would have one on my first visit. I said thats strange because ACOG (American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists) state pap smears should be done every 3 years. She SCOFFED at me and said um, no they dont. Its suppose to be done every year and Dr. Wood has been a member for years and I said okay and got off the phone. What she doesnt know is that I work in urogynecology as a provider and I do pap smears every three years if patients are healthy without issues.I called back and cancelled my appointment.I am sure Dr. Wood and her PA and NPs are great, however ones front office staff is the face of your office and your expectations are set based on that initial interaction.Attached is the guideline from ACOG that was reassess in 2016.

I came in as a new patient to this office and was very nervous as I had not been to a GYN in many years. I have never actually seen Dr. Wood, but I have spent time with her Associate, Beverly, who has been wonderful. She took the time to sit and talk to me, at length, about my life, my nutrition, and my overall wellness. We just finished a panel of tests for issues that I was not aware I had, and I am now on a treatment plan that will help me to be well and stick around for many years to come. I always have the first appointment of the day, so I have never had to wait. I also like that the lab results require an appointment because I dont feel rushed and have an opportunity to ask a lot of questions. Beverly is also aware of her limitations, and has never pushed me for unnecessary testing that would cost and arm and a leg, and has referred me to other doctors for care she could not provide in this office, and I appreciate that a lot. I hope to be a patient of theirs for a long time.

Ive been going to this doctor for a very long time. But recently, I was disappointed to find out that after spending a lot of money doing lab work, she refused to provide those lab results over the phone even though everything was normal (I got the lab work another way). I could understand not giving me info over the phone if the results were dire or if instructions needed to be given. I dont see why I have to pay an office visit when I already did pay that to do the lab work in the first place. I found out from a friend who does coding for doctors that they should not have charged an office visit if I didnt see a doctor. So why pay again for an office visit for results? I feel like shes about the money, maybe? When I mentioned my frustrations to my oldest daughter (who used to go there), I was surprised to find out she had been refused a prescription for birth control even though she had received it from this doctor in the past.

I was a patient for 15 years - I wasnt a money maker as I came in only for annuals. This last appointment was scheduled for 8:30am, unknown to me they had changed locations and it wasnt easy to find the first time (in a large office park with no clear signage). I called, let the receptionist know I had an appointment and was having trouble finding it - she was snippy and acted like I was stupid. I finally found the office and was 15minutes late. When I got there they told me they couldnt see me, I would have to reschedule because they had a full day 15 year patient, down the drain, made to feel unwelcome, unappreciated. Changed Drs that day.

This Dr if ,you can call her that , told my wife and myself that her Dr of 20 plus years in El Paso was wrong and that she probally just had a STD . This quack was wrong dead wrong , my wife ended up having a ovarian lesion , hardening of the uterus , and now having a hysterectomy. How can a DR be this wrong ? Not only that she billed my insurance $2800 for blood work that they stated was done in house . And they expect us to pay an additional $4100 when my insurance pays for 100% of lab work and shes in network . I plan to report them to my insurance as fraud . Should have known when she was the only person in Frisco we could get into quick . One thing you can never say , you have been warned .

Called to make appt. after being referred by a friend. I asked specifically first thing if my insurance was one this office accepted. Was asked if my ins was ppo answered yes. Even called day before appointment for address and directions. Arrived at appointment just in time because address has bldg a b c d. But on time. Receptionist tells me, we dont accept your ins. Whatttt!!!!! That was the first question I asked when I called for an appointment. She offered to still see me me at out of pocket rate. What is insurance for if you have to pay out of pocket?????. I drove in traffic 30 minutes to get to this office and dealt with building a b c d, and you dont accept my insurance and you lied when I initially asked 2-3 weeks earlier before making appointment. I also took off work for this appointment. At what point is this office responsible for just doing the job of looking at the list of insurances you accept? Waste of time!!! If I could give lower rating I would and I didnt even see the dr.
