I have been seeing Dr. Neleson for many years due to my spinal stenosis as well as other issues with my neck and spine. In the past Ive have seen/treated by other doctors, who were all to willing to tell me what I should be doing or telling me do this injection, do that injection which where painful with minimal relief, as well as bleeding my insurance company, and or over medicating me. Instead of listening to what is working for me to function every day working, shopping, spending time with my family, grandchildren and Dr. Neleson is the doctor who actively listens to his patients, he takes his time if you have questions concerns, to explain in terms a patient understands. He will research different alternatives, methods that may help the situation that your dealing with on a daily basis. I am truly grateful to have found him years ago. Not easy these days to be treated by a excellent doctor who cares! Dr. Neleson, also routinely ask for different blood tests, EKG, etc..., to ensure your body is functioning normal with no damage to other organs. I have read posts were other patients have left unjust bad reviews and for those who have; for the most part realistically because they are not following the treatment designed especially for them! When you follow his regimen, treatment and do as Dr. Neleson has instructed, theres never a problem never! However when you take matters in your own hands which I have heard many do and then blame the doctor, it is NOT the doctor who is to blame its the patient not following their treatment! Thank you Dr. Neleson for all you have helped me with coming up with a safe healthy treatment plan, and continue to search for other alternative treatments available thats best for me as your patient.

I have been seeing Dr. Neleson for many years now and I wouldnt think about going anywhere else for my condition. I have moved 60 miles away from his Frisco office but still see him! He is always looking for ways to help me stay as pain free as possible knowing I have certain financial difficulties. He is truly a great, caring and respectable man/doctor. He has an incredible office staff as well, you just cant go wrong at this organization. I wish I could leave 10 stars!!

I’ve been going to Dr. Neleson for about 10 years. He is a highly competent Doctor with a no nonsense approach. The things I like most about him is that he doesn’t force specific treatments or rush you into surgeries or procedures - he thinks the patient should be involved in those decisions, if not be the one driving them.As far as medication goes, he’s careful & only does what is necessary, no more, no less.He listens if you have questions & is willing to respond - sometimes with a trace of humor. The only negatives - 1. the Office/support staff have changed a bit, but that has improved - Office staff is solid, courteous & friendly.2. Over the past 3-6 months, the ability to handle appointments & prescription refills in the same day have become very difficult. For years & years, I’d go to my scheduled appointment (which I have to take the day off) & then go to the pharmacy - conveniently getting everything done at once. Now, I go to my normal scheduled appointment, yet I may end up waiting another 2-4 days to a refill - I do not know why this change has happened, but it’s quite confusing & quite frustrating. Other than this, I have nothing but positives to say about North Texas Precision Pain Care.

I wouldnt recommend this doctor. His office staff (Nicole) is very rude. Dr Nelson wanted to do another shot in my back after already having three of them just two months ago and it didnt work. As i didnt want to pay for something that didnt work for me so he gave me 45 Tramadol (may 15) and sent me on my way. After having plastic surgery (may 29) and heart surgery (July 29) they decided to not to see me anymore as they said i didnt get them approved with them before hand and thats part of the contract (i dont remember that and really only remember that i had to go into office for drug tests). As they accused me of Dr. Shopping. My husband laugh as he said thats some expensive Dr. shopping just for a few pain meds. They also wanted to know why i could afford plastic surgery and not the shot that doesnt work. They wanted my plastic surgeon to send them a reason why they didnt check my PMP record and why they gave me medicine two weeks prior to my surgery. My plastic surgeon said they did check the PMP but i was only on Tramadol and that didnt effect them from giving me the other pain med as the Tramadol isnt going to be enough for they surgery. my PS said it was non of their business how we run their office policy and its a class 4 med which you can get from your PCP. Plus Nicole said its the law to see me every month but yet their the ones to scheduled me for a 3 mo check up. Needless to say im a grown and dont need a daddy or mommy to get a approval for anything i do. I would understand if i was getting mayor drugs from him but i wasnt.

I have been seeing Dr. Neleson for years for pain management. I was in bad shape when I first saw him. He is very conscientious in his treatments. He routinely does drug screenings and questionnaires to ensure that he is properly prescribing and treating. His trigger point injections in my back as well as injections in my shoulders and knee provide a very good outcome in treating my pain level for months at a time. His office staff is very good to work with me if I need to change an appointment date/time.I cringe to think what I would do without them and Dr. Neleson.

He took the time to know me an really find out what was wrong with me. If it wasn’t for him trying to find out what was wrong with me in stead of just giving me medication I would have never know how sick I really was. The doctor was knowledgeable about pain injections. Dr. Neleson took his time to find the muscle spasms in my neck and shoulders. After marking them with a pen he injecting the areas carefully to make sure the spasm in the tissue was broken up. I felt unbelievably relieved in my neck and shoulders afterwards. I will definitely see Dr. Neleson again for trigger point injections.

You need to treat new patients a little better. I guess you’re well established enough where you don’t care about new business but trust me when I say there are plenty of you out there. Be nice to the people you encounter. You never know what they are going through. We were recommended by a long standing patient if yours, the treatment received just to schedule an appointment was not what we expected at all. Rule number 1....Be kind.

Dr. Neleson knows his specialty so well. Working with him is interesting because he seems to want you to understand your issue and your options. Ive always liked that he discusses options with me and answers any questions I throw at him.Ive stuck with Dr. Neleson through several office staff changes because he is so good. He worked hard to find friendly, professional office personnel who are consistent with with their office procedures. His nurse is great. She has experience working with pain management doctors. That understanding she has is a bonus to all the patients and the Doctor. All of them in the office seem to have good communication and be on friendly terms. No bad vibes in this office.I like the automated reminder calls for appointments and to let me know when prescriptions have been sent.

I had two consultations with the doctor and he proposed doing a procedure that my insurance wouldnt cover. I called their office and asked for the cost of the procedure including the doctor fee, anesthesiology, and facilities fee. After some back and forth and being told different things by different staff members, the office manager called me and said they were firing me from the practice because the doctor and I are not on the same page. I asked several times what that means since I just wanted to know the total cost of the procedure. The office manager just kept talking in circles and kept saying that the doctor and I are not on the same page and the doctor doesnt want to have me as a patient. I cant believe these people

If youre looking for pain, youve come to the right place. For pain management, not so much. The one time Ive met with Dr. Neleson, he only spent 5-10 min with me, but he certainly billed for much longer. I guess I should pay for the time I waited to see him? He also billed for procedures he didnt even do, so that added to my pain. Im working to dispute both with my insurance. Second, I was hoping to get estimates for additional procedures I need. A simple quote has taken... I cant tell you how long its taken since its been over a month and I have yet to get the quote. Every time I call them, Im told itll be ready by tomorrow. After being told 4-5 times, its hard to take them seriously anymore. Its hard for me to tell whether Sandy, the surgery scheduler, and Vera, the office manager, are incompetent, or just dont care. Either way, you dont want these people dealing with a serious medical issue. If you have pain and you dont need a fix in the next couple of months (unlikely since YOU ARE visiting a pain management center), then this is definitely the right place for you. Otherwise, I would suggest you look elsewhere, as there are many options.

Never go to this doctor, he’s rude, he talks to you like you’re stupid and gets upset if you seek a second opinion about procedures that he wants to do on you that may not work. He does not care about his patients, he doesn’t listen and he likes to hear himself talk. Not a good person. And in my opinion he doesn’t like black people.

I have been seeing this doctor over a year now. Anyone that has been searching for a pain mgmt doctor knows how hard it is to find anyone who cares these days. Dr. Nielsen will see you on every office visit (not sure about you, but thats important to me to see him vs a nurse). He takes the time to brain storm on new things to do that may help! After months we discovered facet injections which saved my life! He does them better than my past doctor by far. When I lost my insurance he did everything he could to help me in those difficult 3 months. Sometimes he is in a hurry, but you have to tell him you need him to listen for just a few minutes and he will! The only negative thing I have to say is the office staff! His head nurse is amazing, but almost every month there is a whole new staff. There have been a few that were the rudest ppl I have ever met in my life. When ur life depends on a doctor the last thing to deal with are ignorant office members. Other than that I love it here.Give him a chance and you will too especially if you have dealt with horrible pain care doctors like I have

I saw this doctor many many years ago for chronic back pain. Staff was great , he was so good with me until I went to my appt and he didn’t even have the courtesy of calling and letting me know that he was letting me go . I had and have run out of meds early and is hard to be in pain and not take them. It had been a while and I was out of meds. He accused me of selling them !!! I would never ! They were needed and I tried to explain and wouldn’t even listen. I did a urine test almost every visit and guess there was none in system , well no because I had been out . To just assume and not listen to me or for me to explain was awful ! Awful experience and was let go as a patient. I quickly found another and explained what happened and said he has patients that do that all the time and totally understandable. I don’t orDidn’t abuse but pretty dependent. Was only on norco and never was given the option to take another along that was longer lasting . Was just dismissed and I left in tears. I loved this office , staff and doctor but calling me a seller and not even let me explain was very upsetting. Yes, I would love to see again but didn’t seem to care about anything I had to say. #dontassume !!!
