Ripped off a friend when he went for basic regular cleaning and they insisted on doing a procedure...3 hours and several thousands of dollars later...They use high pressure sales closing tactics to run up the bill. Not going to recommend Bryan to anyone else...esp where there are so many better options

I cannot recommend this place enough! Everyone who works here is so kind and patient. The doctors take the time to hear my concerns whether its regarding my childrens dental health or my own. On top of the AWESOME customer service they have AMAZING rates for dental procedures. Honestly its not just my insurance because I have gone to several dentists with the same insurance and was quoted SEVERAL HUNDRED dollars more than what Custer Star Dental quoted me for. My whole family comes here because I have not found better service or pricing.

Just moved here from out of state and came around Custer star! From the moment I walked in everyone was so nice! The Dr did an amazing job and was very informative! I found my new dentist!!

My first visit to Custer Star was a very positive experience! Everyone was so nice from check-in to payment. I was nervous and everyone made me feel at ease. Dr. Gassmann had great “chair-side” manner and I would highly recommend this office for any dental needs.

I was laid-off earlier this year so had to switch over to my wife’s insurance. I had to update Custer Star on 4 to 5 different occasions before it was correct. To complete my implant procedure, I received an estimate of $298 out of pocket on 11/13/20. To make sure, I asked and received another estimate of $298 on 12/17/20. On the day of service of 12/28, it then becomes $746. They said sorry “we will give you a $100 discount”, so I had to pay $646. I am now trapped so had to pay. (I do have in writing of all the quotes for proofs)Back in Feb 2020, they had overcharged me around $400. We had figured this out from reviewing our insurance summary closely. We accept that this could have been an honest error. But it took multiple non returned calls before they acknowledged the over charges. Then took another month to actually get our refund. We should have seen this as a sign to RUN…So when I spoke to the office manager, she blamed it on their office system then blamed it on the insurance company. Then said “I sorry, what do you want me to do? If we reduce the difference then we would have to do it for everybody”. Actually, I think they should if they run their busy this way.So RUN…. (For the record, the people dentist, oral surgeon and support staff are nice folks)

I’ve been a patient at Custer Star for years. The dental work is amazing, the prices are extremely reasonable, the hospitality is outstanding and I’ve always left the office feeling valued as a customer. I’ve had a few emergent cases such as when a 20 year old gold crown suddenly popped off or even when I cracked my tooth eating a kernel of popped corn that they got me into the office quickly and took care of it without hesitation. I recommend this office to everyone. We are very blessed to have such a dental office in our community with such a high skill set at affordable prices that has such an ethical practice.Thank you!

Noor is an exceptional hygienist and is super meticulous when you get a cleaning. Dr. Schelin has a super calm demeanor and if something is wrong he has a whole team onsite to provide multiple options. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This place needs to get negative rating .. These people dont have ethics . I call them just looter of insurance and patients . Here is our story.. We went for basic cleaning and they did all Xrays and other things .. finally they gave recommended plan asking $760 .. they says that they cant do basic cleaning without paying $760 and its illegal . I did call up couple of drs and my friends.. they say there is no such thing illegal to do basic cleaning .. so finally they refused to do basic cleaning .. i did inform to my insurance about their fraud practice ... Just avoid these fraud place .. they will ripp you

Dr. Jeremy Catmull at My Kid’s Dentist and Orthodontics is a fantastic dentist. He is great with our kids. He is very patient and kind. I can’t say enough nice things about the service. Five Stars.

These is a wonderful dentist office. The staff are always friendly and helpful. I’ve never waited over 5 min for my appointment. Dr. Jones is the best. He is gentle and explains what is happening. I’ve gone to him now 3 times and each time felt I was given the best treatment and care. His staff are also the same. Will continue to use this office and have recommended them to many friends.

Dr. Bellan was a great orthodontist. It appears she left this location and they never called to re-schedule my sons final retainer appointment one year post braces. This isnt the first time I have had an appointment canceled with no call or warning. I live an hour away and it would have been a courtesy to call and re-schedule after having a change in orthodontist.

I am truly impressed how seamless my appointment went. I suffer from anxiety and the dentist truly listened to my concerns and made me feel so comfortable. I can’t thank him enough for keeping my mind at ease.

This is the WORST dental office. If I could get 0 stars it would be minus 0. I had 2 crowns done 1 year ago by dentist young woman Asian woman when I did not needed 2 crowns only 1, but she insisted that I need 2. Year later I need to get redone both crowns because she did Horrible job. She didn’t closed the crown she ruined my 2 healthy teeth and year later I am in pain, needed change whole crown plus I needed root canal on one of my healthy Tooth. I was very lucky that I found dentist who is amazing and got it fixed. This office will get nothing but bad reputation anywhere I go or talk to which I already turned few people from that office. Office manager so immature, she doesn’t return phone messages,she doesn’t follow up w insurance and she will literally lie to your face that she is getting hold of insurance when there were multiple letters from insurance to her and calls to submit paperwork. I don’t know what she is doing at that office but she is def doesnt do her job. They are VERY VERY lucky I agreed not to sue them for the damages they did and that I didn’t report the dentist to TX dentist association for the work she did or changes they ask you to pay upfront which was another outrageous the money they charge and made you to open credit line. They are very lucky I didn’t report them to BBB like I was ready to send the letter, but prob they got scared that’s why they offered full refund. Well that won’t help them to fix their reputation.

Custer Star Dental in Frisco is likely a scam..My husband went there for an initial visit and cleaning. They took a bunch of x-rays (free, but we think thats a loss theyre willing to take for their scam). Then the dentist came in and started explaining to my husband that he has periodontal disease and needed an expensive treatment to clean his teeth. The dentist gestured to the x-rays without being specific and explained all the reasons to get this treatment. Next they sent in the financial specialist to explain treatment payment options. They flashed a bunch of information on the computer screen for my husband to read, but didnt give him time to read it. He noticed all of this stuff was under the optional cosmetic category, so its not covered by insurance. Also, all of the promotional materials they gave him were produced either by themselves or by the company providing the lasers for the treatment. He told them he wanted to think about it (go figure, actually think something over before spending over $800 on in), at which point they told him he was done and could go home. He told them he still wanted his normal cleaning. They sent in someone after a generous wait and did the worst cleaning hes ever had, all the time grumbling about how they cant get in there and need to do the big procedure instead. Im sorry, but our last dentist and his hygienists were always able to get in there and clean things. Any recommended procedures were not pushed and we were given estimates and ample time to think things over.So, Custer Star Dental on Eldorado in Frisco reeks of dishonesty. If they arent a scam, they sure look like one. Were going to go to a different dentist for a good cleaning and a second opinion.In all of the preliminary paperwork they were asking repeatedly if we wanted to know different payment options, so I guess I should have seen this coming. I just thought it would be hard to scam us on a simple cleaning.Checked reviews on yelp afterward, there were a surprising number of people diagnosed with periodontal disease who had no such thing according to a dentist they went to for a second opinion.

Dr. Jones takes amazing care of me along with Dental Assistant, Mallory. Dr. Jeremy is an incredible Pediatric Dentist - taking care of our children. Dr. Bellan? The most beautiful and thorough orthodontist! Finally - Cindy.... she managed to take care of us once again today... both my daughter and me. This group is simply amazing!!! I don’t know of another practice that takes care of parents, kids AND Orthodonics... and so well! We’re here to stay!!!

This office saved us so much money! Another dentist close by was going to charge $475 for the dental work. We got a second opinion here and Dr. Schelin took great care of me, and was fast with the dental work. I came in at 7am and was on my way to work at 8:30 (xrays, cleaning and dental work all done!) The office staff got me checked in quick and they understand the insurance process with no gimmicks for charging more. Come here if you want a simple, fast and honest dentist!

Dr. Rachel Bellan is by far the best orthodontist! I have had the pleasure of her caring for my daughter. She pays attention to detail and is attentive to her needs. She is gentle and does her best to make sure each of her visits in pain free!

Id STRONGLY recommend ANYWHERE but these folks or their parent company pacific dental servicesPretty decent dental work... BILLING NIGHTMARE. We setup a month to month payment plan and were told our insurance wasnt covering anything based on a previous work clause. Our Insurance paid almost half. I had to call and point this out to the abysmal billing department and they wanted to argue about the total. I got a COPY of the check and sent it... they still wanted to argue about it. They eventually credited our account 95% of what the insurance sent.. and continued to bill us monthly for the full total and have continued to bill each month even after the original amount was paid off. Ive spent HOURS on the phone with them and emailing. At this point Ive resorted to contacting my credit card company and reporting fraudulent charges. My insurance company is investigating them for claims fraud as a result.

Custer Star is a five star dental spa practice. I was welcomed the moment I stepped in the office and my appointment start on time. Dr. Schelin preformed a comprehensive examination, reviewed my x-rays and explained the need for treatment. Together, we made an informed decision for short term and long term treatment. I reviewed my payment options with the financial coordinator and made a decision on what was best for me. I previously worked in the dental profession for 40 years and this is exactly the kind of high tech, quality dentistry I was looking for.

Worst dentist ever The only thing they did right was check me in, after that they had me sit in the clinic for 2 hours just to tell me they can’t do anything. Wasted my only day off at this office, the dentist only wants to make money off of people with the corporate structure of their offices. I would not recommend this office to anyone. Fantastic staff and very affordable prices! I had my annual cleaning and was in and out in less than 30 minutes! My husband had a deep cleaning and was done in less than an hour!

They are welcome to talk to you and share the approach they are going to take for your dental treatment. The only star I spared is for one of staffs. She was pushy and dont treat you like patients. Dr Jones is the best dentist I’ve been too. I’ve never been more comfortable in a dentist’s chair. Dr Jones, as well as his assistants, were all great at making sure nothing was causing me pain throughout the whole procedure.

Sooo HAPPY with this place... I was at work and bit down on a hard candy and my tooth cracked 😨 I was so scared and in just a few minutes I got a shooting pain.. I panicked left work and went in search for a Dentist. Went to a Dentists close by to work and they had no openings called another dentist and it was closed my sister called this office they where willing to take me in and see me. I called provided my info over the phone while trying to find the place and omg was Kate helpful... ❤️ She was so understanding. I went in filled out paperwork waited not 5min and was taking X-Rays Mallory was awesome 👏 fast and gentle. Then the scariest part the doctors diagnosis and exam which was not what I wanted to hear but knew I needed. Dr.Jones was very nice and informative about what I needed and what my options were. Kate helped me sooooo much I am really grateful she gave me options on payments and ways I can pay....

Worst experience my friend had a surgery there and he got the wrong medication he went there today and the doctor said he can’t do anything about it he has to wait an entire week so that they can prescribe the right medicine I wish there was a 0 star worst experience ever!

Horrible place! They over charge for what they do. I paid for 3 cavities to be filled and only one was done. My baby tooth that was extracted caused so much pain afterwards. I called in for a week telling them I was in so much pain I couldnt eat and asked if I could come in for them to look at it. They told me to wait a couple days the pain would go away and to keep taking my pain meds. I couldnt take my pain meds because I work during the day and Dr. Schulan failed to write my prescription out properly. The weekend came and I had to call the emergency line because I was in so much pain. They eventually got a hold of Dr. Schulan and he promised he would see me Monday and fix my prescription. He yet again failed to give proper direction on my prescription. I went in Monday and he wasnt even there. I saw a lady and she said I had a dry socket and asked why I didnt come in earlier. Maybe because they wouldnt let me. MY crown was done wrong and food is constantly caught under neath and Dr. Schulan refuses to fix it. My mother went there and paid for her bridge in full and they sat on her money not putting the payment on her account and continue to send her bills of more money owed then spoken about. These people are crooked. horrible work. DO NOT GO

Great Dentist. However, the office manager is quite overbearing. FSA payment provider was withholding payment due to lack of documentation from Custer Star Dental. Instead of resolving the issue with insurance/FSA, they were insisting that I pay her over the phone on the same day. This is an egregious practice, to say the least.

Agree with other reviewers. Office manager is quite overbearing. They charged me for a service which was not rendered. I spoke to the office manager 3-4 times and sent 3 emails but no response. Eventually, I had to file fraudulent charges after 4 weeks with my bank. Stay away..
