Awesome!!! My 1st visit went very smooth. Cigna’s list of providers and Ideal Dental was there. Dr. Ashley Smith was very personable, & professional! She took the time to answer all my questions, and was able to hear what I said. Know what I mean!Blanca was my Dental Assistant:) She was the 1st DA who kept the water out of my mouth. Some dentist offices I felt like I was drowning!Tina worked the front desk. I left other dentist because I was over billed, but not refunded the over payment. Now the person to speak to is on vacation:(So I was very skeptical with new dentist. Tina reassured me how much I would have to pay, and no bills in the future for today’s visit.Everyone I came in contact with was 1st Class! I found my new dentist:)

The staff is great! They always listen to my concerns and keep note of my preferences so I don’t need to remind them every time I visit! They really care and it’s so hard to find that level of service. I’d recommend them to all my family and friends!

Had a really good experience with Hickory Center. The staff is nice. Dr. Smith was quick And easy on the teeth.Our last Dentist acted like she was digging for gold in our mouths. I thought something was wrong with me until my husband came home and complained how rough she was. Good experience with Hickory Dental (now ideal dental). I already knew I had a crown that needs to be replaced and they found it in the exam. The Dentist (Dr. Ashley Smith) also noticed some gum problems and recommended I consider a night guard. Nothing was pushed on me and no unnecessary procedures were mentioned. These were actual problems I knew about and plan on getting corrected by this dentist in the near future.Dr. Smith also worked on a crown problem that has been causing me discomfort from a crown replaced by a different dental office about 6 months ago. She wanted me to wait a few days and see if the adjustment fixed the problem and if not, come back and let her adjust again.I would recommend you give this dentist a try. I told my wife and she plans on switching to this dental office in the next few weeks.

Absolutely clueless organization. I wonder if they even really give any concern about the patients/clients. Office ppl are terrible and do not have the best interest for the organization.I called to schedule a appointment ppl there were nice and gave appointments. And I went and switched insurance details too.Hour later I get a call, saying the call center doesn’t have the details to schedule anything and they don’t have any openings.It is very clear the ppl in office either hate the call center or don’t have any good opinion of them. When I tried to tell, I just called the number on website and scheduled how I am supposed to know who am I talking to. Backstory, I have been looking for a dentist a quality dentist. And I was just scrolling through Instagram Wednesday September 30, 2020 and I seen her on her daughters page! I called Thursday and they were able to schedule me on a Friday!!! It’s so many reason I chose this dentistry! It’s 7 minutes away from my house, she is highly intelligent, versatile, a woman of color and most of all we share sisterlocks! But, honestly she was gentle and very honest. Blanca was gentle as well and was efficient! The secretary who handled all the financial was very understanding and explained my insurance coverage and my part! I’m so excited about my Dentist, my dental plan and most of all my beautiful teeth! Please support local businesses and support blacked owned businesses!

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Chandler at Hickory Center Dental! When I arrived I was seen quickly and all my x-rays only took a couple minutes. The doctor and her assistant, Claire, showed me my pictures and x-rays and clearly explained the work I needed done. This Dentistry clinic was wonderful. I had a emergency and they were able to get me in within 15 minutes. I’m a very hard patient to work with due to my gag reflex and they did a wonderful job. The assistant Bobbe did an amazing job keeping up with the doctor in every step of the way. I will definitely be taking my family here as well as recommending friends.

Absolutely unprofessional, rude, defensive, and abusive. Saida, the office manager, canceled my appointment less than 24 hours before I was scheduled because she felt like it. They didnt even bother to schedule my fiancés appointment even though I scheduled it back in July. I have a much better dental provider now, so this worked out for the best anyway. I will never go back to Hickory Dental. Their pushy sales tactics were annoying and failed to provide proper cleaning and other dental services as well.

I had lots of work to be done and some very bad teeth that needed fixing. They worked and did a great job. Even when I was there. From open til close they were nice and accommodating.

I used to HATE going to the dentist, but I’ve been going to Hickory Center Dental for a couple of years now and they make an uncomfortable experience SO easy. They are so personal and actually care about you and your well being. I have never felt judged for the state of my teeth and they go above and beyond to make sure you are comfortable during every step of the process. Today I watched HGTV with a blanket while getting a filling, dental appointments don’t get much better than that!

The doctor was very professional, knowledgeable and courteous. All of the people in the office were very helpful and accommodating. The doctor, through updated technology, displayed x-rays and pictures providing details of what is needed and the action plan.

I really wish I could provide a review of their services, but I havent been lucky enough to make it to a dental chair. I had an appointment scheduled for a Monday, the Friday before at 4pm - my appointment is randomly canceled without explanation. Since then Ive called six times to make an appointment, but no one answers the phone. Ive also sent an email attempting to schedule an appointment, I received an auto reply with no follow up. It shouldnt be this difficult to make an appointment. On to the next dentist on the list.

This office is THE BEST in dentistry care. Everyone, and I mean everyone there are compassionate in their work. They are extremely courteous and cheerful all the time. They put you at ease and my fear of dentists flys out the window. In my 64 years of living, I have finally found a great dentist office! I think that you wont be disappointed at all. I wasnt!!!

Everytime I call them, right off the bat, Kylie is the GOAT. Shes basically the Tom Brady of secretaries. So sweet and always in a good mood.Then the sweetest assistant, Claire, calls me up and takes care of my dental needs along with the super knowledgeable, Dr. Chandler.Honestly, this trio combo that yall have there is fantastic.I used to dread going to the dentist, but even when they have a whole hand in your mouth, 6 tools in or around your mouth, and are drilling your teeth, they still make me smile and laugh.

Super friendly staff, it’s clear that they are very good at what they do. They were very gentle and helped me to understand exactly what they were doing and how much it would cost so there were no surprises. There wasn’t a long wait and they had TVs so you can pick what you want to watch during the procedure. Love this place!

I was recommended this place by a friend and then by my husband. The office was exceptionally clean, the staff very pleasant to work with, and all very efficient. I enjoyed the high-tech equipment and ease. I knew going into it that I would need work done. They broke down the treatment plan in order of greatest necessity and did not pressure me for anything I didnt already know I needed. I am appreciative and thankful!

The office is neat, clean, and beautiful. The tvs in the patient rooms are a nice touch to make the appointment more enjoyable. The staff are patience, thorough, and kind. They were always willing to stop as often as I like so I could be at peace during the appointment.

All honesty, it was refreshing to have a nice dental experience. I waited a few days before writing a review to make sure all work done was in stone and had no issues with dental work performed. I think the thing that made me most satisfied with the experience is that even though I had some issues that needed to be addressed, I was able to get all work done and completed within a walk-in visit only having to wait a few minutes before being able to be served. So availability is definitely there.The other thing that definitely got my business is that the dental work seemed to be complete. In the sense that it doesnt really feel like Ive had work done as the parts of my tooth that had to be corrected were molded in a way that it feels like the tooth wasnt even worked on (outside of the day that it was performed).The cleaning went very well and was done pretty diligently and was done pretty quickly, didnt have really any discomfort during the process. An added benefit is the customized whitening tray you get while using their service, normally a general tray is what comes in a box feels generic, but having your teeth molded to ensure the whitening gel fits your teeth wholly is a lot higher quality feel as well as result.Needless to say Im pretty happy with my experience with them and honestly cant wait to come back in the coming months for my next cleaning and eval.

I had a pleasant experience at Hickory Center Dental! I went in for a cleaning and ended up getting fillings. Throughout the entire process I felt very comfortable and at home! After I was done I still felt a little excess fillings shapes on my teeth and went back in to get it removed and it was done without being asked questions twice! While the facility is nice I think the staff could do better. This is my third time going there in a year and a half (every 6 months for my cleanings). The dentist seems to be more interested in selling you a night guard or Invisalign than getting to know you - and if you say no thank you to her, the Dental assistant and the front desk woman will ask you again and then kindly schedule an appointment for you to get fitted for one before you can say no thank you for the fourth time. Additionally, the staff do not introduce themselves or thoroughly explain what they are about to do. They walk in and start doing whatever they need to. I was reading a few of the other reviews and a lot of the staff were called out by name, I personally cannot tell you who has worked on my teeth, wouldnt even be able to tell you what the dentists name is. My first time going to Hickory there were two African American dentists running the show, they were great but unfortunately went downhill from there. The second time was a Caucasian woman (dont know the dentists name) - being a patient, I didnt even know the dentists had changed! Im not sure that I would recommend this place to anyone, but if you need something done and cant find anyone else this isnt necessarily the worst place to go.

I took my two children for a cleaning and we had a great experience with all of the staff, as well as a quick and efficient visit. The office is very nicely furnished and clean. They had mounted T.V.s in each exam room (useful to keep your mind occupied for nervous patients).I was most impressed with their dental insurance plan. You have a choice of two plans, with one being somewhat higher, but offering deeper discounts. Both plans were very reasonable and would offer a HUGE savings, even if you just had a basic cleaning twice a year. The discounts get more effective for someone that would need extensive dental care.Highly recommended.

Just had my first visit. Staff was attentive and friendly. Very impressed with the competency of the dental staff. I had to get back to the office and in 45 minutes they gave me a thorough cleaning, filled two cavities, took a complete set of x-rays and installed a temporary crown.I hadnt been to a dentist in several years due to moving between cities and other complications. My teeth were not in the best of shape but I didnt get any lectures or judgment. I appreciated that.This office seems to have truly the most state-of-the-art equipment and the treatment was honestly absolutely painless. I called last week and quickly got an appointment. Received a reminder call today about the appointment. Office is nice, clean and modern. Staff seems very friendly. I was seen quickly and my problem was addressed quickly. I am scheduled for work this coming Friday, so I cannot comment on treatment yet. I did like the modern equipment and feel comfortable with the dentist.

I have been going to Hickory Center Dental for about a year. I had a root canal earlier this year and was back at work the same day. It seems they are ready to handle anything, day of.My most recent visit was for a checkup due to some pain in a tooth they previously recommended getting a crown on. I ended up needing a crown, but I was in and out in 2 hours. I was not surprised they were ready to go They are very good about showing you what they suggest as a treatment plan, giving you options and letting you decide how you want to proceed without too much pressure. I have usually opted to just let them do whatever needed to be done because they were ready right then and it was so convenientI have been seen and worked on by both doctors, and both are very friendly, patient, and as gentle as possible while working. They were responsive when I said I was in pain and were understanding of my needing extra time after the shots to becoming numb. Staff was very helpful, courteous, and made you feel as comfortable as possible. The office is always very clean. It is a very modern and professional atmosphere.The only thing to be aware of is that they are probably not the cheapest, but that is part of the tradeoff of having them ready to perform the work that needs to be done at a few moments notice.

I would highly recommend this dentist office. The staff is very nice and attentive and the place is tidy and clean. Took my mom to Hickory Dental to see about getting her dentures, I was thinking that it was going to be a difficult time considering the insurance and fixed income shes on. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a great dentist in a great location. You will not be disappointed!

I fell in love with this dental office. I was a new patient on the verge of a huge dental anxiety attack, in other words (COWARD)! From the welcoming voice over the phone when making my first appointment, to the friendly and reassuring staff at the front desk, the dental assistants and Dr. James whom i found to be gentle and thorough. My whole experience was 5 star and i will be recommending this office to all my family and friends.

My experience began with a phone conversation with an informed and efficient receptionist. When I arrived I was greeted by name despite this being a first time visit. I found the waiting room to be exceptionally clean and was soon ushered to the exam area by a friendly Dental Assistant who took x-rays with what I believe to be state of the art equipment. I then met the dentist who was friendly and attentive. I was surprised when the dentist performed the cleaning herself! She found my problems and explained the course of treatment simply and fully. The financial details were discussed by yet another employee who gave me several options for payment. All in all, a great dental visit.

This dentist is really great. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I was treated with respect and was well educated about my teeth and the whole procedure. They offer great service and at a good price. I would highly recommend them and will be sure to go again.

My experience has been good overall. Be ready for them to identify issues right away and give you a run down on costs. You may feel a bit pressured to get it done right away, but do whatever feels right - wait if you want. (My husband likes that approach, I like to wait.) Everyone is very professional.
