My visit to Dr. Helms office was extremely pleasant. The girls in the front were courteous and polite. I will that say Ms. Brooke was amazing! We covered my entire migraine history, past and current medications and she made it very comfortable. I left really feeling that we had a plan. I will say that my visit with Dr. Helm was rather short because Ms. Brooke filled him in and really took care of business. My appointment is scheduled for next month, and I’m looking forward to it.

Dr Brooke is absolutely AMAZING! Please disregard any other negative comments about this center. The office staff was extremely nice and friendly. Wait time wasn’t too long at all. It took a long time to get an appointment, but it was worth it. Dr Brooke took the time to hear my issues and was very sympathetic and understanding. Definitely recommend!!

The staff here are excellent and very friendly. However, they do seem a bit short staffed there.After seeing Dr. Helm, I felt like my pain didnt matter. He is so dismissive. I had a migraine for three weeks straight, had no idea what was wrong, medicine wasnt working, I couldnt work, I couldnt function. I wanted an MRI to see what was wrong but he didnt even offer it. He told me migraines are common in women and was like guess you need stronger medicine. Thanks... Ive gotten them since I was twelve, but this was different. He didnt care. I wanted to get to the root of the problem I was currently having, not get medicine to mute my pain. I waited to get in for two months because somehow this doctor is in high demand. The appointment lasted three minutes and he didnt even look me in the eye. Dont go here.

I’m so annoyed. I was referred to Dr. Helm from my doctor. I’m 36 weeks pregnant right now and have had to go to a few different specialists so I know the protocol by now. Usually when I’m referred to a doctor’s office, they will call me then set up an appointment, then they send me paperwork to fill out. They did not call me, they sent out a packet with an appointment date already set. THEN they called me to CONFIRM the appt. that I never made. I mentioned to the lady on the phone that they never called me initially and she said that’s how their office does things. I was skeptical about that because it doesn’t make sense, but luckily I was available at that time. So finally the day of the appt. came and I show up early in the morning only to have them tell me that they tried to call me THAT same morning because they don’t accept my insurance. I checked my phone and they called me after I had already left my house. I was so annoyed because it was a bit of a long drive and my husband had taken off work to accompany me to my appointment. I immediately called my doctor that made the referral and explained what happened. They were shocked themselves and asked me why the neurologist was only calling me the morning of my appointment when they had made the referral weeks ago and that they should have checked on the insurance first. They also thought it was strange that they made an appointment without calling me first. I’m actually kind of relieved because if this is my experience before I even get to see the doctor, I’d rather go elsewhere.

What a disappointing experience. Was given an appt and a thick wad of paperwork to fill out. Only in filling it out did I discover he only accepts patients who were involved in a car accident on a cash pay basis. Because my appt was at 8:30 on a Monday morning, I went to it. I wasnt surprised when the receptionist kindly explained their protocol and no exceptions, even though I was referred to Dr. Helm by two health care professionals.What was off putting was the second gal at the front desk, who was not even involved in our conversation. She never looked up from her computer or even made eye contact with me. She just simply barked out. Cash Pay. So rude!!I have already connected with another neurologist and have the best of treatment following my accident from all health care providers I contacted, except this one.A simple question were you involved in a car accident? would have been helpful. Then no appointment, no unnecessary trip to the doctors office at 7:45 am (I was instructed to be there 20 minutes early), and then no need for Miss #2 at the front desk to be so rude to a patient who has been suffering for over a month.Too many good neurologists. This obe has many bad reviews, mostly for similar reasons as mine...front desk rudeness.

Ive been seeing Dr Helm now for 3 years and he has managed my migraines. I was put on medication to control my migraines and in the past year my migraines were getting worse I made a appt to see him again and he got them under control.He has always been polite with me. I recommend him to my co workers all the time.

Horrible doctor calls you a lier and doesnt listen

Dont waste your time this doctor doesnt do any homework to make sure his patients are able to be treated. He just assume have somebody in significant pain wait three months and then decide at that appointment that he doesnt take their insurance. He gets an F in patient customer service

Dr. Helm is a competent doctor (probably), and Brooke is even better, but the experience overall is lousy. In the past the service here was great. Now everytime I call I feel as if I am disturbing them -- the office staff are condescending and frankly unhelpful. Im looking for a few neurologist now.

Not much of a wait time compared to most doctors but over the years Ive gone there Ive had enough of his innability to have any human emotions. He gave up on me and told me I should visit San Fran Medical Center for their expertise. Helms a joke.

My experience with Dr. Helms office was a positive one. Staff were very friendly. Wait time was very short and Dr. Helm was a very pleasant doctor, He listened to my complaints and put a plan in action to figure out what is going on with my problem.

Dr. Helm is one of the premier migraine and neurological specialists in the region. I cant recommend him and his staff enough if you feel that youre suffering from migraine headaches or neurological/balance issues.

Quack! No help at all strongly suggest if you need a neurologist GO OUT OF FRESNO! Dont even know what to say about this man.

Exactly!!!!!!! The two previous reviews are dead on! I spent 20 minutes waiting and only 8 minutes talking to Helm. He did not look at any of my blood work nor did he look at my MRI. When I told him how many headaches I have a month, he chuckled and said he himself dealt with more. Then he handed me a bunch of samples and ushered me out the door. That cost me $65! Which I will not pay!
