Lack of compassion. I went to pain management because, obviously, I have severe pain it is difficult, if not impossible, to do everyday activities because of it and due to reactions to medications, there are many treatments I am unable to take. So my Dr and I thought pain management would be a good next step in hopefully finding some relief. Dr Hogan told me my pain was no big deal and when I questioned if it could be osteoarthritis on top of the other condition I have that causes pain, he said everybody has that, thats no big deal and then he moved his neck and said See, there goes some cracking and he laughed. He made me feel like I was just whining and over exaggerating. And then when the injections he suggested was denied by insurance he never called to follow up.
