Have had two appointments at this location and each time was pleasant. The ladies in the front are so polite and accommodating and the doctor was always prompt and always ready to answer any questions. Sandra helped me and my husband pick out a perfect pair of glasses that satisfied our likings for a great and affordable price. Great experience & great service. Highly recommend!

She listened to my concerns and was not troubled when I asked her to explain terms or reasons regarding the health and conditions with my eyes. I didn’t feel rushed and felt like I could speak up while in the exam. I will definitely be going back to her! All the staff here were polite and patient. Just loved this place! I give them hands down 5 stars because that’s the what they gave me! Dr Young is so nice and patient and great at what she does! The girls In front that help with choosing the right frames are so sweet and really know their stuff!!! And on top of all that they actually sent me to have something double checked at Kaiser to make sure there wasn’t seriously wrong with my eye before giving me my RX! The office is really nice with all the fancy machines and scanners you could possibly imagine!!! All in all very impressed with everything!!!

Went in for an exam and a new pair of glasses. They had very reasonable Covid procedures and everything was clean. Staff were very friendly and was in and out in less than an hour. Highly recommend.

I saw Dr. Shital Chatwani for my routine annual eye test today. She is extremely thorough and does a very comprehensive exam of your eyes, addressed my severe dry eye condition with some potential solutions. I have seen several optometrists in the last 20+ years, she is probably the best I have seen so far. They have some amazing collection of frames too.

Tri-City optometry was a superb experience. My daughter and had our appointments back to back. It was done very professionally and we were in and out in no time. Eye glasses were also very affordable. Staff was super friendly and so were the doctors. Definitely the right place for our whole family. Will be going back again next year for the yearly eye check up.

We have been coming to Dr. Shital Chatwani since 2014. She is very pleasant and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this practice. Very courteous staff and the process was very simple as we could complete the intake form online and they have great safety measures in place. Jody has always been very helpful in the process of picking out glasses and is very informative on what will work best. Overall a great experience.

Both me and my husband have been patients here for 4 years and always had great experience. Dr. Young is the best! She does my exams every year and she is always sweet and attentive to details. She takes time to explain me everything and answers all my questions. Other staff members are great too! Also I’d like to note that the place itself looks nice and modern, all exam rooms look clean, pretty good selection of frames as well. And they take great precautions during the pandemic: they ask to sanitize your hands upon arrival, they let patients in and out from different doors to minimize unnecessary contact. All equipment is well sanitized before every use. Patients are allowed to try on different frames but frames are returned back only after being sanitized. Thank you for doing great job guys!

My family and I have been patients for well over 15 years when Dr Chatwani first purchased her practice in Newark. I was a patient of the former owner. She is amazing, shes engaging, extremely knowledgeable, and accommodating. Her practice utilizes the latest technology, and she takes the time to answer your questions and address any concerns. She takes the time to inquire about my kids. The office is very beautiful. Her selection of frames are awesome, I always get tons of compliments on my glasses. Her staff is truly a reflection of her.

Don’t where those 5 stars coming from. The staffs are nice but the eyeglasses doesn’t meet the spec you choose. I ordered a prescriptive eyeglasses with high index. However, the eyeglasses came out to be twice thick as my current glasses and my presentation just went up from 500 to 525. The staff explained that it’s the frame size problem. It is NOT because my current frame has the same size. They don’t meet the high index of my order and just found excuse for it. Please go check your glasses and make sure it has the features you order!!!

Excellent clinic for your optical needs. Everything is digital - from checkin forms (which they send a day before) to eye-exam. I was in and out in about 30 mins. Dr. Sonal Sheth Chatwani is excellent. She listens to your questions patiently, explains details about eye health and takes time to do a thorough eye exam. First the good: the business location is very neat and they have taken all the Covid precautions. The appointments are spaced out such that there is not a lot of crowd at the location.The bad: There is a conscious effort to upsell at every instance. I understand that the doctors do not accept a cornea report from another location, but I was extremely upset when I was not given my prescription. I have been trying to ask for 2 weeks (via mail, phone and their online request form) to get my prescription. But its quite apparent that they block access to the patients prescription because they want us to purchase glasses only from them.

Giving it a one star for service. No doubt doctor is good. The frame we ordered for prescription glasses was replaced by another color. On calling they lied that they mentioned to me that it will be replaced once the required color will be available. They never called back. Apparently doctor suggested to avail the free sunglasses as per my insurance before the year ends. Price of sunglasses were unduly bloated . We did a mistake of using one complementary pair of sunglasses just before the end of the year thinking we can get prescription glasses , an extra pair, at the start of the next year. Now they say you cannot order another pair of prescription glasses by the end of this year. I expect the right Info to be given to customer and help them make right choices . They know better and first time customers might be amateur making right decisions.

I have been to a few different optometrists and have never gotten the kind of service Jodi provided. My prescription is ~very~ high which has made my search for glasses difficult. Jody gave me VIP treatment and patiently advised me on various frames to find and order my final frames.

Long story short: come see Dr. Chatwani! Coming from someone who has been to 4 other Optometrists prior to her, shes the best! And Ive been coming to her practice for 13+ years aka half my life! PLUS!! shes the Oakland Athletics Optometrists....whats NOT to like!?I absolutely love coming to Tri-City Optometry! I have been coming to see Dr. Chatwani ever since she took over the business location from the previous Optometry that was in Newark....so about 13-14 years! I never miss a year without stopping by to get my vision checked by Dr. Chatwani and catching up. She knows my family and always remembers to ask about all of them. Last year, I changed vision insurance and sadly, it only covers getting my vision checked AT Kaiser. There is no one else I trust to get my vision right other than her! I decided to pay the exam fee out of pocket (thank you FSA! Its $150 btw) and attend my yearly exam. Dr. C took the time to get my vision correct, there was a lot of back and forth trying to her my right eye with the best prescription possible. She doesnt like to double check - she triple checks! Thankfully, only my right eye was an issue and was the culprit for the sinus headaches and vision issues I was experiencing.Afterward, you get to pick out glasses if youd like - or you can bring a pair and just have the prescription updated. I picked out two pairs of glasses - a D&G and Ragbone pair - which I will post when I go pick them up. Also, if you have a Flexible Spending Account and have a balance remaining before the end of the year/spending year, they will cash out the FSA and give you a gift card to spend it on frames, sunglasses, etc.! It gives you another year to use and save it for what youd like.New location is amazing btw. If you went to the previous one in Newark, it was nice and cozy and felt like home - but now its so open, and spacious...which means so many MORE frames to choose from!

This is such a fun and friendly place! I love visiting with Dr. Chatwani during my exams. They are all eager to help me pick out new frames and I truly enjoy the experience. Dr. Chatwani is very health oriented and gives me great advice about how to take the best care of my eyes. I trust her completely.

Dr Chatwani is an amazing optometrist! She has the expertise and the knowledge to be a great doctor!. One of the area she specializes in is scleral lenses for Keratoconus patients and we have had only good experiences as we go through this complicated process. Dr C is so thorough and takes the time to explain the most complicated issues in a very simple manner. She is friendly and compassionate and my children love coming here! Her staff is super energetic and welcoming too and they always greet you with a smile. They go over and beyond what is expected to make sure you are taken care of. They are very easy to work with to coordinate appointment times, contact lens/glasses orders, insurance, and payments. As a physician ,I am impressed with the quality of care this clinic provides and always recommend it to my family and friends.
