Dr Crouse and her staff lacked even the most basic form of compassion in the treatment of father. We were initially informed their office could perform a procedure to help with my Dads disease and after I arranged transportation my Dad from his assisted living facility and he arrived only to find that the procedure could not and would not be performed (despite me calling repeatedly before hand to verify it would, and the appointment was scheduled months in advance). To say Im dissapointed would be an understatement.Dont waste your time with this office as you will be surely let down by the staffs lack of communication and Dr Crouses non-existent bedside manner. Do yourself a favor and go see a reputable Neurologist office and Doctor in Northern VA or Charlottesville.

It is VERY difficult to get an appointment with Dr. Crouse at any time. This makes it a bit tricky to manage your medications properly, but it can be done if you are diligent and careful. Do not expect to cancel and reschedule appointments here. If you have an appointment and you need the appointment, then that must be your first priority. I wish it was not that way, but it is and I have learned to adapt so far. I like the doc and the office just fine. They are no better and definitely no worse than any other medical office in our area. All of these offices are overworked, likely understaffed and probably have no business handling the number of patients they are expected to handle coming from Spotsylvania, Stafford, Fredericksburg and surrounding areas. It takes patience on both sides, both patient and office staff, and we do not all succeed with that every day. If you try to keep your appointments once they are made, know exactly what you need to say before you see the doc, and be as brief as possible, you should get what you need. Dr. Crouse is an extremely pleasant lady, but she is not going to agree with you on anything she does not feel to be true, so do not even waste her time or yours. Just get done what you need to get done and move on. She is willing to let you try new, non-narcotic meds to help manage migraines if that is what you see her for, and for that, I am extremely grateful.

I was given a referral to see Dr. Sandra Crouse which was rejected because We do not handle that diagnosis. My rheumatologist specifically told me my fibromyalgia was definitely a neurological issue and he wanted me to see one to figure out underlying causes of my chronic full body pain. Neurologists DO see, diagnose, and treat Fibromyalgia, and my referral was written to Evaluate and treat Fibromyalgia (M79.7). The staff refused to help me figure out what associated diagnosis they would accept, or to let me speak to someone who would know. I called VCU Neurology, and they went out of their way to help me to find out the best diagnosis for Neurology would be Neuromuscular pain and that if anything else was necessary they could handle it from there. It was very obvious that Mary Washington Neurology does not care enough about their patients to make sure they are seen or taken care of, and would rather let patients stress trying to figure everything out on their own or continue without getting proper medical care. The way I was disregarded is unacceptable, and I will be going to VCU Neurology who cared enough to make sure I could be taken care of without my even having to ask. It is a terrible drive from King George, but worth it when its your health at stake.Response: This was not inadvertently published twice, it was intentional. Dont even bother trying. You cannot get past the rude staff who have no interest in helping you. Go somewhere else if you want someone who cares.

It took me 4 months to get an appointment.The day of my appointment I arrived a few minutes late however I was told I was scheduled to be there at 8 a.m. not 8:45 ,this is not true!I dont make appointments that early because I cant schedule transportation.The staff is completely rude!
