My overall experience was wonderful! I am normally very nervous when I go to the dentist but the doctor Saumitra Saravana made me feel so relax and assured. He explained everything to me as it was done and and tried to communicate with me so I felt relax. The staff was also very polite and very understanding! I highly recommend this place !

I am very impressed with the dentist, Dr. Saravana, and his assistant, Daisy. I had a painless tooth extraction which continues to be painless the day after. Dr. Saravana patiently and thoroughly explained my options prior to the extraction. The morning of the extraction he and Daisy systematically went through the procedure and after care. During the extraction the Dr was great about telling me what he was doing and what I would experience. Daisy was encouraging and good about repeating Dr. Saravanas cues. Honestly, a great experience. Thank you, Dr. Saravana and Daisy. I look forward to seeing you both at my cleaning in 6 months.

I did NOT feel the needle! At 60+, this was amazing, and always my greatest fear going to the Dentist. His Technician first applied an external numbing solution, then Dr. Sumatra went VERY SLOWLY... allowing the gum and bone to become numb before pressing the needle further. Unfortunate others in Dentistry dont realize how simple patient pain can be eliminated... with care, respect and patience. Add on an Exceptional Staff, Excellent.

I had a broken tooth in the back of my mouth from a filling coming out. The staff were so nice and I was feeling good about the experience until the dentist came in. He told me I grind my teeth (something I was unaware of) lectured me on it for five minutes, blamed all my dental problems on it and then when I asked what I could do to stop grinding my teeth because I’m unaware I do this he told me to just stop doing it. Thanks, super helpful. He then told me I needed a crown which I figured but then acted like I needed a plastic one for a month because I had waited a couple months to get in to the dentist and once again tried making me feel horrible. I asked about the medicine they would use for the procedure and he acted annoyed and said it is fine without telling me the medications or going over the procedure because he was clearly eager to get out the door. I was so upset when I left so I refused to go back! Saw another dentist a few days later and found that yes I grind my teeth but because of my severe overbite that is not my fault and the other dentist was able to offer short term solutions to help with grinding while also recommending orthodontics. She also told me the other dentist was full of it and that I didn’t need to wait for a month to get my permanent crown on and explained the whole procedure to me. So if you want to experience the rudest dentist on the planet, hit up this dental office. But if not, I recommend going elsewhere!

Please forgive me for not pronouncing the Drs name appropriately but my review of Pearl Family is top notch. Most importantly, the DDS is extremely talented, thorough, uses state of the art tech and takes his job very seriously. Support staff imo was super patient, I was late the first time and had a lot going on and was admittingly short with them. Whole staff here is genuine, thoughtful and focus on the patient. They dont overcharge, work is impeccable I had fillings recently and the work was really well done I recently left another dentist.I read some negative reviews, the doctor noticed I also may have acid reflux but he did such a good job illustrating the corrosioyon my lower molars vs the top and the images were very clear. Teeth cleaning was extremely thorough, and imo the doc here really cares about patients. Highly recommend

The dentist personally cleans my teeth. Best dentist I have had with extremely convenient hours. Week appointments and Saturday appointments until 1700 with walk-ins. I have never had a bad experience. Everyone is professional and user friendly! Highly Recommend!

I am a breastfeeding mom who needed 2 wisdom teeth pulled. I had both pulled same day under general anesthesia and it was quick, easy, and most importantly painless. I haven’t been here for any other procedures however I am very happy with how this visit went.

I really like Pearl Family Dental. I came across them when I needed a dentist that worked with pregnant women. Even though they are a 2 hour 40 min drive round trip, they are worth going to. The entire staff is very professional and the dentist is amazing. He and his assistance always make my visit comfortable and pleasant. They continue to make sure that I am comfortable when my procedures are being done and they are very gentle and soft spoken when they are about to do anything. They are informative with each step they are about to do, so that I can be prepared for what is to come. I have been to them several times and I am pleased to have found a great dentist office. My advice to anyone is to go and experience it yourself, do not be turned off by any negative reviews because you might miss out on a great dentist.

I have been here a few times and they were completely friendly and understanding. They informed of what was going on and also started a treatment. The scheduling was awesome. No long of a wait. Very clean and organized place. The dentist and his assistants were very kind and understanding. I highly recommend this Dentist office. Pearl Family Dental located at 754 Warrenton Road Fredericksburg, VA...Dr. Saravana and the staff has been amazing to me and my family. I contacted the office to make an appointment online. I explained to them that my children has a strong phobia of the dentist especially my older teens. They contacted me and was able to give my children an alternative to help them to have an easier time at the dentist. They were able to schedule us in a timely matter and the customer service was great. From the first day starting to come there and time there after has always been like a family like atmosphere. The staff is amazing as they took their time to make sure we were comfortable, we knew what was going to happen and to help my children stay calm as well as me as their mom. Dr. Saravana is an awesome doctor who took his time with my family, answering any questions and concerns we had as well as explaining to us what he’s going to do so they were calm with no surprises. He took the time to share the importance of keeping a healthy habit of taking care of our teeth. The teamwork of Dr. Saravana and his staff has always been amazing by helping us as their patients to stay safe as they always check each person’s temperature that comes in the office, a very clean and calm environment, and my family having less anxiety for their next visits knowing that they will be okay. This place is great. I got a appointment the same day i called. Told them i was in alot of pain they got me right in did my xray and told me they were going to take the teeth out. The whole staff was incredible and very nice and comforting. No issues at all would highly recommend. Overall fantastic experience!!

I was attracted to this practice by the reviews I read online and I was not disappointed! He explained the procedure, let me know what he was doing every step of the way and he was very gentle. A painless procedure, and I have a low threshold for pain. He didnt do any unnecessary work, and was conscientious of getting all my work done before my insurance expired. I am more than satisfied with his professionalism and caring bedside manner.

I called up this office upon referral from someone else. I told the receptionist on the phone that it was an emergency. She was polite and professional and managed to squeeze me in an appointment for 12:30. Not being an existing patient, I was extremely thankful. Especially since I was in excruciating pain. I arrived at the office to fill out the necessary paperwork. The ladies in the front and the hygienist I had were all wonderful. Now my VERY brief interaction with the Dentist was not pleasant in the least. I don’t know if I was cutting into his lunch break with my dental emergency, but I felt as though he didn’t even want to give me the time of day. Didn’t bother to ask me but a few questions before he very quickly dismissed me with a prescription for antibiotics and Motrin. No directions for follow up care other than if I didn’t feel better by Sunday then to go to the ER. Luckily and unluckily for me, I didn’t have to wait until Sunday. I spent a good five hours in the ER today. Why you might ask? I was in there receiving IV antibiotics and pain medication. Apparently by not asking me any in depth questions, I was written a prescription for the correct antibiotics but at a dosage appropriate for a child, not an adult woman. I honestly left the office in tears not just because of the pain I was in but from the frustration of feeling like I was written off. I’m thankful that they were accommodating enough to fit me in. Like I said I give his staff a higher rating, but as far as the dentist goes. I wouldn’t recommend anyone go to him.

Took my children for checkups. My 5 year old daughter needed cavities filled. They did a great job. I was so impressed how the doctor spoke with my daughter and showed her everything he was going to do and demonstrated on her finger nail. I have neglected going to the dentist for several years, not by choice, and now I’m on the worst insurance ever...Medicaid. The state would rather pay to remove teeth than to preserve them. I was terrified of getting a surgical extraction but the dentist and the staff were great. When I say that I felt nothing at all, I mean it...not even the needle going into my gums for numbing. I had to have extensive work done last year and not only did they do an exceptional job, they made me feel welcome and at ease the whole entire time. Dr. Saravana and his staff do everything in their power to make sure you are comfortable, pain free, and educated with every step of the process. Ive moved away from 17 and still drive 1.5 hours just to continue with this excellent practice. Their hours are accommodating and they try their best to work with your schedule as well. I went here because there were 32 5 star reviews. Make this 33. Incredibly friendly staff. The doctor was very knowledgeable in his trade and his assistants were very accommodating and informative. 10/10 would get their teeth cleaned here again.

I took my 2 boys there today for their check up. My oldest boy who is only 2 was terrified and they did nothing to comfort him and actually got mad because I had to hold him in the chair while he was screaming and crying. They didnt even attempt to see my second son and told me they refused to see my boys even tho we have been there before. They were so rude and kicked us out. Also my oldest son is now more scared of the dentist because they were so mean. Thats all he kept saying on the way home. I will never go back and dont recommend them if you have children.

I made a mistake and came early too my (I thought) scheduled Monday appointment--I WAS a week early, I was definitely willing to come back on the proper day, but they let me in. The whole staff are extremely friendly and professional. Dr. Seravana talked me through the procedure for a tooth removal, having had trauma from other dentists (NH, FL and VA) Im finally happy to actually return to a dentist who can calm my fears and make going to the dentist, not quite fun, but definitely stress free. The cost is very reasonable too!

I just left the office with my nine year old and I now doubt the authenticity of some of these reviews. The hygienist who took his x-rays was kind and comforting. I explained to the dentist we had been there before but received treatment at a pediatric dentists instead, but it left my son anxious afterward. He tells I should go back to them because an anxious child will impede his work. He cant help me. I told him my child made it thru the process he was just anxious afterwards. He dismissed me saying again a ped dentist would do better. Never, have I heard of a dentist turning away a patient. I told him hes in pain, he can make it thru, still no help. He was abrupt and dismissive, he literally spoke to me for 5 mins. Be warned.Update: I took my child to another dentist the very next day and the experience was the polar opposite of my visit at Pearl. My son still needs work done but certainly not where it warrants a specialist, nor did they find, nor did I see all these cavities and work the dentist at Pearl spoke of. And The dentist gave me more than 5 mins of his time.

The dentist and staff were so professional and friendly. The dentist was so good with my 18month old during his first visit and he was very knowledgeable and gentle during my exam. Ill definitely come back in 6 months for my next visit!

Not nice to kids. 2-3 nurses holding down a 6 year old to clean? Hes never had problems with the dentist before. They told my wife she had 7 cavities, second option provided this to be false... she had zero cavities.I would not trust this place. I do not trust their high Google rating.

Made an appointment to get my wisdom teeth pulled. Dentist told me he could pull it, but when I showed up for the appointment he told that he no longer wanted to do because he didn’t feel comfortable doing it. He was completely unprofessional and wasted my time when he could have told me from the beginning that he could not do it. The front desk staff was nice about it and tried to help me as much as possible but as far as the dentist goes I would refer anyone to go to him.

I went to the office for the first time for a Teeth Cleaning. Dr. Saravana was very friendly and made sure I was comfortable. The hygienist was also very friendly too. Their images of my teeth from the X-Rays were very clear and I felt they gave me good information about the care of my teeth and what I need to follow up to make sure my teeth stay in good condition.

Dr. Saravana did a filling and took out a tooth for me. He was very kind and gentle and made sure I felt NO PAIN!! His assistant was great and the front office staff made filing with my insurance easy. I would definitely recommend this dentist to anyone!

The staff is friendly and courteous. Dr. Saravana was very thorough and has a light touch- I had to have a crown done and barely felt a thing! His dental assistants are professional and I particularly love how they put me at ease. Most importantly, I do not feel rushed or abandoned when I visit (been there a total of three visits in a month between my children and I). The staff takes their time to make sure my dental needs are addressed and that I am comfortable.I do not generally write reviews but I had to give this office five stars and make sure it gets the recognition it deserves-- I was that impressed! I was in a meeting next door, walked out and noticed a sign that said walk-ins welcome. I proceeded inside just to inquire about the services and if they took my insurance. The front desk staff was very pleasant and even said I could be seen immediately. I took advantage of this. They put me in a nice consult room the dentist came in sat down and started discussing my concerns and was very personable. We went back to the room to do my cleaning, x-rays, etc. I also got free whitening for life......OMG I love this office.......

This dental office has a great friendly, clean welcoming atmosphere, I was a walk in patient and they scheduled to see me right away, I always feel nervous going to the dentist but the dentist Dr. Saravana talked through everything with me and made new feel so comfortable, answered all my questions, and his dental assistant Joann is simply amazing, she was very nice. I will definitely be making this my dental home.

Awesome dentist, have had bad experience after bad experience with dental work until i came here, the dentist always made sure i was doing ok while he was working, they gave me a 3 hour appointment just to make sure they got my work done before i lost my insurance so i wouldnt have to pay, wonderful staff, they actually care about your experience, not just getting the work done. They even call to check on you after your dental work done

Had a very good experience. The office staff was very nice and Dr Saravana was efficient, gentle, very friendly and upfront. Happy to finally find an honest dentist.

Cannot sing enough praise for this dentist and his staff!The patience and respect Dr. Saravana and his assistant Joanne showed my sister, who has special needs, was admirable and greatly appreciated Dr. Saravana took the time to pull me aside to inquire about my sisters comprehension level so as to best communicate with her- an obvious courtesy but one which is rarely afforded her. It was a gesture which meant a great deal to us. Joanne literally held my sisters hand the whole time... We have insurance challenges and Joanne had gone, and continues to go, above and beyond to help us work through them.Finally, it was comforting to have everything explained in detail, including more than one option for dealing with necessary treatment in the future. By far the best experience at the dentist weve had. Highly recommended!

Pearl Family Dental is the best dental office I personally had the pleasure of visiting. I arrived and there was instantly a smile and a greeting as I walked through the door. Every employee I came across, even if they were not servicing me gave me a smile and a greeting. The dentist himself was very proffessional and took very good care of me. I needed a deep-cleaning and two cavaties filled. During the whole process, the dental assistants Daisy and Jennifer were nothing less of friendly and helpful. They constantly made sure I was completely numb and felt no pain and Daisy even held my hand!!. Best part I was out in a matter of 30 minutes! I would highly recommend this dentist office. I live about a hour away and definietly will be returning.

Recently a tooth broke and exposed the nerves and root the pain was literally unbearable, nervous about not having insurance and not been to the dentist in a LONG LONG time I called and the girls there were super nice and answered all my questions the xray and consult was free! Even with NO insurance the tooth extraction was PAINLESS, yes thats right ZERO pain minimal feeling after a little numbing medication. Was over in about 5 minutes, extremely professional and courteous people.Ive been LONG LONG LONG overdue to go to the dentist and had been shamed at other places for having not so great teeth but it was the opposite encounter here at Pearl Family Dental. Dont waste time going anywhere else.P.S. - I dont write reviews because I truly believe in people forming their own opinions on most situations, however this had to be done. Seriously, thank you to everyone I met today at Pearl Family Dental.

Amazing experience! I took my 8 year-old daughter after my insurance referred me to them since there are no insurance dentists in my area that will accept my insurance. Being a little out of my way, I brought my little girl here and was running late due to heavy traffic in the area on a couple of occasions and they were very nice and accommodating. Once there, they did a routine cleaning and found my daughter had a couple of cavities that needed to be cleaned out and filled in with resin composite and sealed in. They scheduled me in right away and the procedure went great. Dr. Saumitra Saravana and his staff were very sweet and kind and the entire staff was very courteous and very professional. I felt a little anxious about my daughter’s procedure being that it was her first time going through it, but they encouraged my daughter throughout the whole process and put my mind at ease. I highly recommend them for your little ones’ and the whole family dentals needs! Thank you to Dr. Saumitra Saravana and the entire stuff for caring and for your professionalism. I will definitely keep coming back :)

I have been going to the same dentist for a few years now and was tired of not receiving genuine care. I came across Pearl Family Dental and it was a great experience to say the least! I had a few fillings I needed to get done.I was dreading that needle but Dr. Saravana was extremely gentle and talked me through the entire thing. I felt at ease the entire procedure and completely pleased leaving. The staff was understanding and very helpful. Joann got my paperwork done in a timely manner and was very nice. Carmella helped Dr. Saravana with my filling, she was very knowledgeable and comforting at the same time. I recommend seeing this Dental Office over any in the Stafford/Fredericksburg area. My name is actually Patricia Patricia Morelock (cant figure out how to change the name)Pearl Dentistry went above and beyond what I expected! I received same day care for two teeth that needed extractions. While most dentists would send you away with antibiotics and make you wait for the procedure, I received both in the same visit!

I went to Pearl Family Dental because my old filling went off. Dr. Saravana gave me options and their pros and cons, which helped me decide to pick the best option with in my budget and also that would provide a long term cure.Dr. Saravana is very friendly and the treatment provided was a pain free experience.Dr. Saravana educated us with the dental health and I was very impressed and glad to find this dentist. The staff is incredibly nice and kind. They are all very friendly and they make you feel at home.

Staff was professional. But they did nothing for my pain. And doctor was rude. Wont be going back. Waste of time.
