I have had good and bad Optometrists in the past. Dr. Al-Ghandour is by far the best Optometrist that I have ever been to, hands down. She took her time with me in my appointment to ensure that everything was accurate. When it came to determining the best contact lenses for me she allowed me to try four different brands and types until I figured out the one that was the best fit and most comfortable for me.Dr. Al-Ghandour was also great with my young daughter at her first eye exam. She explained everything that she was looking at and for, which calmed my daughter’s fears and actually made my daughter enjoy her appointment.Dr. Al-Ghandour is friendly, timely, and thorough. Id absolutely recommend seeing her.Ordering glasses and contacts through My Eye Dr is a breeze. Grace knows her stuff and is so helpful. They have a great program so you dont run out of contact lenses or solution within the year before your next appointment. I ordered contact lenses which were shipped to my home within a week and my glasses were in within a week.

Poor customer service, I called over to this location because I broke my glasses, the attendant behind the phone told me that I have to take my glasses to the same store that made me the glasses initially (In Mclean, VA), while I have insurance and any Myeyedr. store should be able to take care of it.

My experience with an appointment a year ago at the South Point location was excellent in customer service, HOWEVER, their level of taking care of patients during the pandemic is not accommodating.I scheduled an appointment for my husband the day before he was deemed not “essential enough” and had to be sent elsewhere.My contact prescription expired and I wanted it extended so I could have them through summer as they have no appointments till summer. Denied that request, offered NOTHING to get me contacts till that appointment.I will be taking my insurance and money somewhere else as I know of another doctors I found for my husband willing to accommodate and understand during this time over by the mall. Do not recommend. Treated like money, not like customers during this time.

I loved it here! It’s like a playground for your eyes trying on all the frames. The manager, April, was INCREDIBLY helpful and attentive. Helping me find frames that matched my face as well as my hair (because I always have crazy fun colored hair)The doctor, Dr. A, was so sweet. She was intelligent and kind and made me and my husband feel incredibly comfortable and not nervous at all.

This is the most unprofessional place I have ever dealt with. It has been over 6 months since I first went there for an eye exam for new contacts and still don’t have contacts. First you will wait an hour or longer to be seen by the dr. Next they ordered in a pair of contacts to try that were not even remotely close to the prescription I needed. That was 3 months after my appointment until that single no good pair came in. So I had to have a second eye exam after they tried ordering a new prescription. This took another 3 months to get a set of contacts there and appointment set up. This pair luckily was the correct prescription and I was starting to have hope that the fiasco was over. They charged me 3 times more than they originally quoted a year worth of contacts to cost. Promised me that my contacts would be in before Halloween. Oh looky it’s now November 6th! Perhaps they meant next Halloween since they can’t do anything in a timely manner. I called twice this week and they say they will look in to it and never call me back. What a nightmare. Will I ever get my contacts? ... who knows. Would never recommend this place to anyone. Was 6 months pregnant when I started this miserable journey there and now my baby is 3.5 months old.... Absolutely RIDICULOUS!

Everyone here were so amazing!!!!!!! The exam was quick, no wait time, my glasses came in faster at this location for 2 specialty glasses than at another location for just 1 pair of glasses! I loved this place and I’m so glad I can keep coming here.

UPDATE - THEY HAVE RECENTLY TAKEN CARE OF ALL ISSUES AND WERE VERY NICE. Currently STILL trying to get glass that were ordered in November. They ordered me progressive lens that I wasnt sure I wanted...had they explained what they were I would have declined them! I got them, couldnt see, they insisted I try to wear them. They were awful!! Went back, the said they need to adjust the perception. I asked for single vision lenses since these were AWFUL. They told me the would order the lenses and let me know the price difference since the new ones were cheaper. I never got a call. I called 2 .5 weeks later,was told they would have to call me back...they did not. I called again the following day, they still had not ordered them and had an attitude about it, claiming I never talked to anyone until I reminded them of the entire conversation and was talking to the person I had been talking to!! Now they say they are ordering on a rush.... I have prepaid in full for something that is incorrect and also paid more money than I should have.

This place is a joke. Its set up for bulk service. GETTEM IN AND GETTEM OUT QUICK The examiner acted like she was late for a internet date. Rush rush rush! We just felt like pieces of trash on an assembly line for profit. As soon as your exam is over, the REAL business venture comes out. THE FRAME SALES LADIES. They throw out high dollar, high profit frames for sale not covered by insurance. I guess they get commission because as soon as you say you cant afford them, the service declines quickly. To us, this is a chain of high profit frame shops. The exams are a joke. Young millenial eye examiners and staff, rushing so they can get back on their social media pages. Not for us!!

I had trouble with this chain in the past but that was years ago and so i decided to give them another chance. The young lady professional (?) giving the exam seemed nice enough but when i mentioned that i had trouble getting a refund for a bad pair of glasses years ago at this chain she seemed to cut the exam short without even getting a proper reading for my right eye. Well now i have several pairs of glasses that are off focus and another year before i can get an exam on my insurance. I will just spring for another exam and this time I’ll go to a bigger and local place. I believe these chains have less than the best professionals doing the exams.

Dr Nadeen is awesome! She examined my eyes and found my eye pressures to be very high. She personally scheduled me with a local specialist for a same day appointment. Dr. Nadeen called me back the next morning to make sure my eye pressures were lower. Thank you Dr. Nadeen for being so gentle, kind, professional and knowledgeable. I will highly recommend you anytime.

First, my children came in for eye exams. I was told with my son that since it was his first eye appointment he needed to come back to get his eyes dilated. But, with my daughter I informed them it wasn’t her fist eye appointment and the doctor still wanted me to come back with her again. I have always gotten eye exams and never have I had to come back to get my eyes dilated.Second, they didn’t even order my son’s glasses after he came back and so we waited an extra week to receive them because I waited patiently and didn’t call until a week later about them.Lastly, my daughter was referred to a doctor who doesn’t accept my insurance. Furthermore, she was also advised to get “vision therapy” which no one knows what this is!! Every time I call I am put on hold. They do not follow-up as promised. It’s been a bad experience since day one. I do not recommend this place to anyone.

They gave me the wrong prescription, I told them I couldn’t see to drive, read signs or anything when I called back two days later. And assured them it was not the correct perscription. I told them it was not just me complaining of a headache due to adjustment I have had bad eye sight since I was five and I am 25 now I know that- this, it was not right! I can not drive. I have small children and this is dangerous. They told me to give it a week. They told me to let the contacts settle on my eyes. I was not happy. Knowing I only had my trial pair. Do not recommend!

My family and I have been coming here ~10 years. They are conveniently located, have a decent variety of frame styles/pricing, take my insurance, pretty easy to make appts, and they have been great with my 7year old. Sometimes errors happen: I re-use frames and sometimes tracing the frame/lens to update lenses goes wonky (and I have trifocal with no glare, etc). True story- one time we had to re-order lenses 4 times--it was just bad luck and I had to laugh and wear the old lenses an extra week or two--but they kept at it until it was right. I was patient and understand manufacturing and ordering systems--and they were genuinely earnest in making it right. Without exception: the staff has always been helpful and concerned for getting my glasses done right. They have helped with warranty replacement, with replacing stripped screws for sides, they are attentive to doing adjustments on the ear area for my child so her glasses are trouble-free (since kids are rough on glasses and wiggly when you try and fit/examine them). There was one guy, one time--who wasnt nice--but he didnt stick around. Everyone else has been awesome. I wouldnt go anywhere else for me and my family of foureyes

Just got finished with eye exams for myself and my Husband. No wait time, the staff was efficient and friendly. Helped us pick out 2 pairs of glasses and 1 pair of sunglasses and explained and answered all of our questions. I can’t wait to go back and pick up my frames.

Nice place, good hours , including Saturdays , courteous, helpful, conveniently located and fair prices . My sons glasses always come with a replacement pair , which is really handy. Glasses take about a 7–10 days to come in which is average . No complaints about this place at all.

EXTREMELY DISHONEST !!!!, I CALLED 30 MIN BEFORE MY SONS APPOINTMENT, TO CONFIRM HIS VISIT WAS APPROVED BY INSURANCE. THE RECEPTIONISTS TOLD ME EVERYTHING WAS GOOD , AND HOW THEY WOULD FILE IT .WHEN I ARRIVE THEY LIED AND CLAIMED THEY NEEDED TO RERUN HIS INSURANCE AGAIN . A FREAKING WASTE OF MY TIME !!!!!

I wish I could give less than one star. Awful attitudes, awful service and terrible care for patients and customers. The glasses we ordered for my mother with severe macular degeneration were the wrong prescription after waiting for them for 6 weeks, so we had to wait another 6-8 weeks for the glasses to be returned and remade. We could not just get a refund and move onto a better establishment, instead we were hung up on multiple times and treated terribly until finally our glasses came in. Anytime we tried to speak to a manager he was not there. Dont bother trying to call corporate to file a complaint either because they will hang up on you as well. How they can even continue to operate is beyond me. Do yourself a favor and stay FAR away.

Extreamly unhappy ! My sons glasses were suppose to be ready today , so I go to pick them up at 5:30 pm they close at 6 pm. The lady tells me that the frames were damaged in shipping so they are not there. She also tells me that someone was going to call me before they closed. Well why is is 530 pm and you close at 6 pm yet Ive received no phone call. Very poor customer service and very unorganized. The short blonde hair lady with glasses is not friendly at all and should not be working in customer service

Ive taken my family of 5 to Doctors on Sight for almost 4 years. They have taken extremely great care of me, my wife, and our 3 children. They have provided us great individual care. Do we have to sometimes wait a little bit, sure, but when its our turn were the focus of their attention.My family isnt a number at Doctors on Sight, they know my family by name. When my daughter had her melt down with her first eye examine, they were extremely patient. You cant find that at every doctors office.

I came here for about 4 years, the optometrist that used to be there was very easy to work with and was very helpful. The new optometrist has had me return 4 times over the past 3 months and STILL wont give me a simple contact prescription-keeps making me buy these expensive eye drops

Fantastic experience. Really like the eye doctor as well as the technicians. Glasses for both myself and my daughter came in earlier than expected. My wife got contacts and glasses, and both came in earlier than expected as well. Cant say enough good things. Ignore the negative reviews!

First off i had a appointment actually thto see dr i i was in and out quick,,then to get fitted with frames. Eas the problem. First off guy had wrong unsurance after i told serval times the insurance i had...but two hours later i walked out no glasses no nothing. What a mess. And im telling everyone. Do not go.

This was my first appointment, my appointment was at 12:15. I called and explained that I got held up leaving work that I was on my way. The receptionist told me that as long as I was there by 12:30 I would still be seen. I arrived 2 minutes past 12:30 and they would not see me. I understand this is their policy, but 2 minutes really? I left work, rushed there all to not be seen over 2 minutes.

Eye appt for my daughter went well. She was examined by the male Dr on Presidents Day. The staff were nice that day too. We were told she needed a larger size contact and that a trial pair would be ordered. They also said they would check the size on her when the trial ones came in. They even tried to price match for me. We left happy.I got the text message the contacts and lenses were in and called to make an appt to get them checked. I was told she didnt need an appt. I explained they are a new size and that we were told they needed to check them. She put me on hold to check the notes on the account. Again I was told she didnt need an appt to pick up the contacts. I said are you sure? I further explained that the (male) Dr told us they would need to check them when they came in. She again told me no appt was needed.My daughter showed up to pick up the contacts on Saturday and was treated rudely because she was a walk in. The Dr (female) had a total attitude towards the staff saying no more walk-ins, she should have made an appointment.No kidding!!!! I tried to make an appointment for the follow up. The staff member who answered the phone wouldnt let me!!!!My daughter waited 50 minutes to have the contacts checked.We wont be back. Clearly the staff and the Dr have a training or communication problem. Regardless they shouldnt be treating customers rudely for their own mistakes.

So ordered acuvue oasys not this other brand that they kept trying to force on me. Told them didnt like other brand. Told the doctor this. Guess what they ordered? The other brand. Seems like someone gets a kick back to sell them. So i go in tell them its the wrong lenses. Get an apology from a lady named Grace. She says i will order them the next day. So no problem. Everyone makes mistakes. Well I get a call the next day asking if I was sure i wanted the acuvue oasys and not the other brand. I was like yes I am sure not understanding why I was getting that phone call. She said ok I will place the order. So go into today now 10 days has passed since that phone call and 3 weeks have passed and no new lenses and guess what no contac lenses so no order placed. Was even told nothing was in there system for the order. Seriously! About 2 to 3 years ago I loved this place and referred people to come here. You guys have some new pushy doctor pushing her own kick back money agenda and the place seems like its all about money your a number and no one cares! I will hopefully get my contacs at some point but the last time I do business here. You guys need to tighten up and really consider who the doctor is. Seems like a lot of post same as mine!

This was my first time using Doctors on Sight and trust me, it will be my last. I went to the store in Massaponex on August 3, 2013 and had a contact lens fitting exam, eye exam and purchased glasses for a total of $571.00 and keep in mind that this was my portion after insurance and I have very good insurance. I write this report today, Sept 11, 2013 and only have my glasses and still do not have my contact lenses. The first time they ordered them, they ordered the wrong lens which I didnt find out until I went in for my 2nd fitting. That was about 3 weeks ago and I just called today to see if the lens was in and nobody could tell me as the person in charge of ordering was not in today. The doctor seemed nice but his staff is incompetent and not customer service oriented.

Very bad service. First they were very nice trying to convince me to get an appointment. So, I scheduled an appointment. I showed up 10 mins. early and they made me wait about 30 mins. The doctor rushed me to go through the process and he was rushing me to read the signs very fast. After I got out and I paid, I asked for my prescription and the front lady told me that she was gonna ask the doctor what my sight was, but I said, NO...I just want my prescription! She made me wait another 15 mins. to give me my prescription. They told me that my glasses were gonna be ready within 5 to 7 days and that they were gonna call me when it was ready. It has been 15 days already and nothing yet! When I called them they said that my glasses should be ready in 10 minutes. What? so, did they forget to call me? and now that they realize their procrastination and lack of consideration to their costumers, they are gonna try to put everything together in 10 minutes in a rush...Ill never go back there again! I should have done it at Wal-Mart, at least they are fast.

The glasses I bought were 650.00 the frames did not last two months they kept trying to repair them to no avail since I have been there I have had nothing but trouble with my eyes my most recent trip I was treated with disrespect from a gentlemen I now must go to a different co and start this process all over again I would not recommend this company to anyone
