The minute clinic is a joke! Currently over an hour after my scheduled appointment and still have not been seen. Will never use them.
I have never had any problems with this store. I know they are busy
The CVS on Ballenger Creek in Frederick, Md., is the last one you should go to. And my reasons are:Last week I dropped off 3 prescriptions, 2 of which were on the same piece of paper. I was told they would be ready in an hour. I stopped 6 hours later to pick it up only to be told it wasn’t ready and it would be at least another hours. I said that was unexceptable, and explained why, I did say more but I was nice, it was ready in 20 minutes. So today my husbands doctor phoned in a prescription later morning. I called to see if was called in and I waited 20 minutes for someone to pick up the phone just to ask the question. I was told it would be ready around 2:00. Well, I called again 3 hours later, and again waited 25 minutes for someone to answer the phone only to find out it wouldn’t be ready till 6:00.I didn’t want to go there with out making sure it was indeed ready, and THIS IS UNBELIEVABLE, I waited, 40 minutes before someone answered the phone. His prescription was ready, but I had to let this guy know how long I was waiting, and he said, WE WERE HELPING OTHER CUSTOMERS. Well I had all to do to keep from saying something that no lady should say to anyone, but I was fuming to say the least. My complain will go nowhere I’m sure, but letting other people know that there are other CVS, and other pharmacies that will take their insurance. After I pick this up, this CVS will no longer be ours or my families place to go.They definitely lack skills on helping their customers like the the cvs pledge says. I will however use the store, but not that pharmacy. They are understaffed, and just to hire someone to answer customers pharmacy calls would be a better idea that sitting on the line waiting. Some of us can only call at certain times if working. Think about solving the issue and help all your customers. Are calls are just as important as the person your waiting on in front of you.!Thank you to anyone that is reading this.
This cvs is fast and clean. Everytime I need a medication refilled or dropped off ; it’s done rapidly.
Crying so much here they have so much medicsine i take so much medicine i am not happy prozac doesn’t help zoloft doesnt help i am crazy lexapro ain’t helpin abilify ain’t doin notin NOT EVEN DA XANNNNNS
Cvs does a great job making sure each store is consistent with their brand. Good service and always willing to help.
Worst Pharmacy Ever. Every time I come here my prescriptions are not ready by the guaranteed pickup time, or they are placed on hold and never notify me ahead of time. When I call before coming to see if they are ready, they always try to rush you off the phone without clearly answering your questions so you know whats going on. Zero communication skills.
PHARMACY is NEGATIVE-1 STAR! It is UNDERSTAFFED, rushed, and its PURE torture to GO AND even to CALL! Go 1 block up to Jefferson!- - - - - - - - - - - --------- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -The store itself for merchandise is clean and ok. Again for anything PHARMACY related go elsewhere this CVS is HORRIBLE in every aspect.
Scheduled a flu shot on line for late evening hour. Was there 1/2 hour prior to schedule. Checked in at pharmacy drop off as instructed. Told them what I was there for, heard a negative remark from gentlemen behind counter. Young lady looked up insurance info in computer, and said I didnt have medical coverage. Which was definitely not correct. Said I had to call number on my card, and if I didnt get it straight by 8:30 PM couldnt get the shot. I called my provider, and took awhile to get through, he confirmed I had medical, but they said he had to call them directly. So he did, gentlemen that made negative remark, put him hold. Girl that waited on me, picked up the phone and said he hung up. I still had guy on hold on my cell. He comes back and said he was disconnected. These clerks were busy I know. But their customer service to me really was poor. They should have called the number themselves if they had to speak to him direct. I gave up and they didnt care. I was out of their hair and they were glad. Was very disappointed in there service.
I had a question about a medication I picked up and first call I was on hold 30 minutes 😡 Next time 15 minutes 😡 Finally when I called again I pressed the button that I was the health care provider. Call was picked up in a couple minutes!! Service at this location has gone downhill!
We go there quite often because it’s close to our home. They’re severely under staffed constantly. Especially in the pharmacy. Be prepared for 30 min to an hr wait consistently. They also do a horrible job of keeping their drink coolers stocked. Consistently out of most drinks. Based on their volume they need to be 24hrs. Frederick can support two 24-hr locations I believe. Staff isn’t always familiar with the products they carry.
My local store never seems to be on the CVS main website for having ANYTHING! Its just never listed...
Updated: Remodeling the store finally! Minute Clinic looks to be getting a actual office inside the store as not have to vaccinate people huddled in a corner while swamped. My family and I wont use any other pharmacy. Heather, Jessica, Julius, and Cathy are amazing. We use the minute clinic for our vaccinations, and purchase our over-the-counter medications there. Each month they do their absolute best to have our medications in stock so theres no wait in filling a prescription. Their always there to ask if we have any questions and despite how busy they may be, they always have a smile and know us on a first name basis.Customer service like this I find becoming more and more rare. Its because of that very reason its even more important. The company is truly lucky to have them as employees, almost as lucky as we are to have them as our local pharmacy.People have a bad experience somewhere in the midst of having a bad day and the first thing theyll do is leave a complaint, but how often do we really recognize those people that deserve it? Not often enough, especially now during this modern day plague while their putting their lives on the line to keep us healthy. Only difference between them and our physicians during this crisis - they get paid far less to take the same risks.Thank you all so very much for being there for us.
Always friendly staff and stocked shelves, but every time I shop there, I see more and more trash/garbage surrounding the building. Just bringing this to the managers attention, even though I dont see how it can be missed on a daily basis.
Never had an issue just seemed to be always busy when I go there
Went and got my flu shot here today. The clinic provider was wearing a vented N95 mask. Protection for her, but but for her patients. She assured me this was aligned with CDC guidelines, but it is not.CDC says:Respirators with exhalation valves protect the wearer from SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, but may not prevent the virus spreading from the wearer to others (that is, they may not be effective for source control). Until data are available to describe how effective respirators with exhalation valves are in preventing the spread of SARS-CoV-2 from the wearer to others:-Wear a respirator without an exhalation valve when both source control and respiratory protection are required.-If only a respirator with an exhalation valve is available and source control is needed, cover the exhalation valve with a surgical mask, procedure mask, or a cloth face covering that does not interfere with the respirator fit.She condescended to me that she knows how diseases spread and assured me I have nothing to worry about because she takes good care of herself. If these are the masks that CVS is providing (as she claimed) I want an answer from them how this is following current guidelines.
I’m honestly shocked at the bad reviews on here...I’m at the CVS at LEAST once a week, and I’ve never had a bad experience. I’m typically always there for prescriptions, however, I’m almost always greeted by someone who works at the front, or somewhere in the store. The pharmacy is top notch! I’ve been a customer of CVS pharmacy for many, many, years and let me tell you...this staff goes out of there way to help you out. I used to live in Olney, MD and that CVS was so busy, it would take at least 3 days to get a prescription filled. Lines wrapped around the store...This place is awesome. 😎
Ive been using this cvs for years and they have always treated me with respect.I recently had a prescription that was very expensive but I had a coupon so I wasnt to upset. The good people behind the counter had a much better coupon than mine and saved me a ton of money. They didnt have to do that..
Great staff! My needs are always addressed in a timely manner. They go above and beyond to help when a patient is in need.
Very well stocked! Seldom has there been lines at the cash register! Staff is very cordial.
Yeah its a typical CVS that closes early. Pharmacy is nice, store itself is eh.Its generally clean on the inside, lots of selections and choices to choose from, especially for medications and beauty products.Staff are super nice and easy going. Theyll help you whenever and wherever you are.
I bought something which didnt work one day. The next day I returned it. When I returned the watch James the cashier person was very rude. Someone needs to teach him some customer service skills.
Best customer service. Everyone is very friendly. I always love going to this store. Keep it up! 😊
When ever I go into this CVS, it seems like all are very friendly. I went into the CVC today, 7/30 for some items and it was not crowded at all and everyone was very helpful. Katherine, or Katie, even opened up another register just to serve me even though there was no long line. I use this pharmacy for my regular prescriptions and vitamins and it always seems like both Katie and Martha are there to help me and offer me assistance. The pharmacy closed at 6 and Katie said it opens at 10 on Sunday. I think these employees, Katie and Martha (who was not there tonight but has been there before) deserve bonuses and rewards. I think mentioning people by name, while not knowing their last names, is important to thank them. Thank you Katie and thank you Martha for your great customer service and your always cheerful dispositions and your always wonderful smiles. Martha recently helped me find something even though she said she was off the clock, isnt that great, and Katie is always smiling.
They always let me know when my meds r done
Pharmacists at this CVS are awesome. They are so friendly, and always smiling when i go there. I would say best service i ever received till date from any drug store. This store is my favorite, even though my insurance doesnt require to have CVS as pharmacy. I would strongly recommend getting prescription filled here, you will know output of it. Just ignore the review from last many years. Things can change in year. Sorry no offence, but I would have to disagree bad review, or they might had out of luck bad day experience, you know one of those days. Cant conclude overall ratings based on that. Thanks
Posted Sunday hours are 8 - 8. I arrived at 8:10 am and store was locked; nobody answered knocks. You lost at least 3 customers.
Going for 22 years to Ballenger Center. Awesome store and pharmacy staff.
I read some of these reviews and either the people complaining either came along on a bad day, or they expect immediacy. I have never had an issue. Always fast, friendly and efficient. I have lived in Warrenton, VA and CVS Blackwell was a fiasco: chaos, a wait, slow...then I moved to Bethesda, Wildwood: talk about lines and annoyances. And dont get me started about Miami 8th street! To use this wonderful, clean and fast CVS is truly a treat folks~
This CVS is located conveniently, but does not have great hours, and rarely has the prescription medications I need, causing me to make a trip to a second pharmacy. The pharmacy staff is not focused on customer service, but not overtly rude.
Update: I moved away for a couple of years and wouldve hoped that the pharmacy wouldve gotten better in the 4 years I was gone but unfortunately that is not the case. I recently had to get a RX which through my insurance is pretty costly to begin with. When I called about running it through goodRx, I was told that Id have to bring the discount card in (which was fine) but was also asked in a patronizing tone if I had insurance and told all my coupons knocked my insurance off (a problem Ive never had before). When I replied yes I have insurance, I was told my coverage was inactive. I called my prescription coverage company and got the new information, which had changed unbeknownst to me. When I called back to give them the information, I was told I needed to come in to give my new RX coverage info because they were too busy to help over the phone. I went in, fixed the info, and was told the price (which was still too high) and only then was I told how the dosing info was. It was the weekend so naturally I cant get it fixed until Monday. I was then offered the option to purchase enough of the meds to get me through the weekend out of pocket without insurance. Great until it seemed there might also be an issue with that option too. Luckily I was able to get my meds for the weekend. I called the MD on Monday and they got it fixed and sent over. I go to pick up my meds Tuesday after work and they processed through insurance and not goods. When the lady tried to run it through goods, the system for goodRx was down so she gave me some off the prescription until they could go rerun it. I go to pick it up today and it still hadnt been run through goodRx as requested and told it would be. The person working runs it through goodRx and asks me to circle the building and come back for some reason. I do it and when I come back and pay, I realize I still overpaid/wad charged by $.29. I dont have a lot of extra income at the moment but 29 cents isnt really worth my fight at the end of the day but seriously how many hoops do I have to jump through before its done right. Also another RX of mine is on hold but no one but the CVS app has said anything to me about it. You would think of all the times I was there this past week, someone might have mentioned it. Seriously considering another pharmacy. To be clear, not all CVS stores are bad. This one just needs improvementThe only reason I go to CVS for my prescriptions is because my insurance requires it. This CVS branch is horrible. The service at the pharmacy is so slow. At times, there will be like 6 pharmacists working behind the counter. 1 usually works the drive-thru window,1 works the register, and the others are either filling scripts or doing who knows what. Usually this setup would be ok if there were only like 2 people waiting for their prescriptions but when there are like 6 people waiting for the 1 pharmacist who works the register to finish counseling a patient while the other pharmacists stand around looking like they dont know how to work a register is rediculous. Service sucks and so do some of the personalities.
Poor customer service on the pharmacy side and store side. Up keep outside if the store not very well maintained.
Poor customer service. Went there once for passport photos, and they sent me to another store which didnt even exist.
This by far is one of the worst pharmacy manager and pharmacy ever. Dont wast your time and energy here.
The excellent service!
That the pharmacy is working hard for all of us!
Pharmacy is slow as hell
Excellent Service.
