My wife and I have been training once a week with Steve for close to two years. We are both retirement age and have slowed down some. Steve’s sessions have been key to remaining active. I recently completed 25 miles in 3 days on the AT in N Georgia with a 30 lbs pack on very difficult terrain. It had been over 15 years and two full knee replacements since I attempted such a strenuous hike. I give the credit to Steve for my core strength that was crucial in accomplishing the hike. We intend to continue this path w/ Steve to maintain our fitness and remain active as we age.

I have been working out for years in group fitness and on my own, but wanted to find that personal one on one focus that I felt I was missing. Steve offers the perfect place to get in shape! He is very informative and careful with the exercises he gives you. He has a very easy going personality and every session is different. Theres never a reason to feel awkward since it is a one on one training session and Steve makes you feel very at ease. When I started at Franklin Personal Fitness I was out of shape and felt terrible. Gravity was pulling everything down south and I wanted things back to where they should be 😁. Cant recommend Steve enough--hes got the perfect combination of easy-going attitude, knowledge, and experience which enabled this middle-aged tech dude to finally get in shape. Id never worked out with weights before my wife got me a getting started package with Steve as a much-requested Christmas present. Now, more than two years later, Steves been the guy who keeps me committed to fitness -- tailoring the exercises to my goal and keeping me motivated. Steve was essential in my training goals. I could not have done it without him. I worked with Steve for 12 months prior to my main training event and exceeded all goals for that event. I thought that I was able to train on my own but needed Steves eyes, ideas and encouragement to truly excel. I scheduled at a reasonable time 2-3 times a week at a reasonable rate. As a female, the gym wasnt working for me, but I needed to get control of my health. I hated the one size fits all equipment that was consistently out of order, the muscle heads that took over the whole space, the constant bombardment of calls and emails of encouragement from someone Ive never met (selling their services at the gym)....and worse, I continued to aggravate old injuries trying to do it on my own. Steve is an awesome motivator and extremely professional. He was instrumental in helping me achieve my goal of a body building competition when I was 59 years old. He created a complete package of training and diet requirements to achieve a result of 13 percent body fat and a muscled physique. The workouts were intense but so varied that I did not get bored or burned out. He is the dude for all your physical aspirations!! The added icing is his wife’s experience in body building and her input in the process was invaluable.

I’ve been training with Steve since June 2019. I came to him after a shoulder injury and surgery that kept me from exercising for almost a year. I have worked with personal trainers in the past, but this was my first time training with heavier weights and a barbell. Steve started me with lighter weights and always made sure my previous injury was protected while at the same time being strengthened. I quickly learned to love working with the different bars and weights and for the first time in my life I actually looked forward to my workouts. I saw quicker results with feminine definition lifting weights ,compared to my previous training of lower weight/cardio mixes even at an elite level. I’m 48 years old and in only 16 weeks of following his plans : I lost 22lbs. and I’m about 18% body fat, going from size 8 to size 2. He has made my body strong and toned but not bulky. I always feel challenged but leave energized and looking forward to the next session. Steve is a great motivator and has a very easy going personality. He’s very professional and I always feel comfortable in his (very clean) gym. I love the one on one focus and not having the distraction of other trainers and their clients. Steve also trained my son after graduating from college (and not working out for 4 years). Steve was able to motivate him to get back in the gym on a regular basis and my son now works out 6 days a week with his friends and looks so much healthier! I highly recommend Steve as a personal trainer!

As a former athlete, I’ve trained with different professionals over the years. None have been as knowledgable, motivating, friendly, and inspiring as Steve! He challenges me every week and I’m truly seeing the results. He works with ANYONE. I never had confidence lifting weights/working on proper form. Im in it for the purpose of gaining weight/muscle. Steve is great at maintaining a good balance between pushing me to do my best and encouraging me to back off when necessary. No egos is one of his mottos. In my mid-forties I decided to hire a trainer for the first time. Steve was the third of three prospective trainers I interviewed. Pretty quickly I found myself wishing I had found him first and used the time spent in the other interviews with Steve at Franklin Personal Fitness. My “must have” list is very straightforward: Knowledgeable, Professional, Honest and Results-Oriented. I work with Steve 3 days per week and am approaching the 2 month mark. To sum it all up, my husband stopped me this morning on my way to work out and said, “Please tell Steve I said ‘thank you’.” He sees a difference. And I see and feel a difference. And I’m no spring chicken! I have been training at Franklin Personal Fitness with Steve Morris for over a year now. I have seen great results. I am the type of person who needs that somebody to push me and Steve does that. He is very knowledgeable on nutrition and what exercises you need in order to reach your goal. Since I have been working out with Steve, my diet has changed and I have learned a lot about what to eat and not to eat. I have lost body fat and weight. I’ve been working out for a while on my own putting in the time and work but not really getting the results I wanted. Then I decided to started working out at Franklin Personal fitness with Steve as my trainer. Im blown away how he’s been able to get me these results in a short time and keep me motivated. I was training for a powerlifting meet, and wanted to cut weight to be more competitive in the next weight class down. Ive always been the same weight and didnt know how to cut properly without losing strength. I contacted Steve, and he developed a meal plan just for me and my needs. I was able to cut 14 pounds in 6 weeks, but most importantly I did it without sacrificing strength. I secured 19 state and national records in a drug-tested meet. Steve was patient with my many questions and concerns, and helped me to trust the process. I highly recommend Steve and Franklin Personal Fitness.

During my consultation, Steve took over 30 minutes discussing my illness, goals and a plan to meet those goals. He has the knowledge to create a fitness and nutrition plan for me as an individual. As a female in my mid 60’s with knee and heal pain, it was difficult to stay motivated to exercise regularly. After my doctor referred me to physical therapy and I saw how much it improved my quality of life, I wanted to build on the progress I had made, but I was not comfortable with the thought of going to a gym.Steve designed a program specifically for me that helped me maintain the improvement I gained in physical therapy as well as strengthen my core, increase flexibility and increase strength without putting stress on my joints. He monitors me closely to ensure that I do the exercises correctly and varies the routine so that I don’t get bored or exhausted.Working with Steve makes exercising fun and more productive. Since he only works with one person at a time by appointment only, I am not worrying about being judged by others. My only regret is that I didn’t start working out with Steve sooner.

I’ve been training with Steve at Franklin Personal Fitness for over four years now and I highly recommend him. Steve is extremely knowledgeable in not only the physical aspects of fitness, but the nutrition side as well. With his guidance I am seeing results; I’m stronger, look better and despite sitting at a desk 5 days a week, I am in better physical condition in my late-thirties than I was in my mid-twenties. Steve always seems to nail it in terms of difficulty; I leave having worked hard, but never going too far. He is always watching my technique, correcting me if it starts to fall apart and does a great job of motivating when I really have to dig deep. On top of all of that, he has been very flexible in dealing with my often crazy schedule. I could not ask for a better personal trainer.

On any given week, I run between 18 and 30 miles and hit the weights 3-4x. I recently noticed that my runs were progressively getting slower and couldn’t muster reasonable weights on the big 3 (squat, bench, deadlifts). I spoke with Steve more about the troubles I’d been having and asked him if he could critique my training and nutrition programming.Steve set aside a block of time to review my programming and gave honest feedback. Additionally he found that I had been UNDER fueling myself which attributed to my lackluster performance. After careful review, he provided me with macro adjustments which upped my calories. I was a bit hesitant at first but figured I’d give it a go.By the end of the following day I immediately noticed an increase in energy before, during, and after my runs but the true test came later in the week on my “long days” which is normally a heavy deadlift night followed by a mid distance run in the early morning. Not only was able to knock out my mid run (6mi run at 8:49) with ease but I was also able to kick out a rep PR on deadlifts (390lbs for 11 reps) the night before. Steve was able to help me figure out the “missing ingredient” to my performance rut and help my push through it with his nutrition programming. I can’t thank him enough for his help.
