My husband and I have lived here for three years and my 99 year old mother has been here for over seven years. My mothers care in Assisted Living and Nursing Care facilities has been stellar with caring staff meeting her needs at every turn. The administration has been terrific in helping us determine what level of care she needs at all times, and we have regular meetings with caregivers to keep informed.As for my husband and I, we think we are experiencing the best time of our lives. We are in one of the beautiful cottages, have made many new friends, and participate in many of the activities that are available. The Grounds Crew does the mowing for us, and the Maintenance Team is responsive, trustworthy and among our new friends. It is a secure campus and we never worry about our safety with any needed help just a phone call away. What more could you ask other than World Peace!

Application for temporary care/short stay was made by the hospital. After FIVE DAYS Amy from marketing notified us they would not take me. I am temporarily on Medicaid until my home is sold. I wanted to be at Otterbein because it appeared to be a Christian facility. I know now that it is a Christian facility for patients with monetary assets. Its a shame as when I do have my assets available I would NEVER consider this facility home. Waiting on the admission compromised my health. Be CONCERNED for your community. It doesnt represent Franklin Indiana well. Franklin is better than this.

Otterbein Franklin is an amazing community. The loving care of each and every resident is the number one priority! They have Independent homes and Apartments. Assisted living apartments are available as well as 3 Memory Care units, Rehab to Home unit and a Health Center for 24/7 care. With 20 years of working in healthcare, Ive seen good and bad facilities all over the state of Indiana. Otterbein Franklin is one of the best! I highly recommend this retirement community for your loved ones!

The first thing that stuck me about Otterbein is how clean the entire facility is. Not just the main common areas but also on the higher level care areas. No bad smells, every area was as clean as the last. The best part though is the staff. You can tell everyone here genuinely cares for the people they serve. Also, the people who live here are so nice. It truly feels like a community where all walks of life are welcome.

I DO NOT RECOMMEND this place!Please check your other local places for senior living. Call hospice and ask if they can help with other local places to check out for openings before you look at this one.Since this place was bought, it has gone downhill and is for profit only! You can’t just get a standard meal rate to include 3 meals a day. Paying around $500 a month for one meal a day is absolutely ridiculous.The condition of the rooms are not kept up and you’ll question if they are really coming around to help dust and clean.The management will yell at you if you challenge them and are not willing to take inconsideration on what’s best for the resident.They are only allowing you to see your family/friend once a day for only a 2-hour period then you get kicked out. You have to get tested and wait 15 mins each time, even if you were just there less then 24 hours later.The residents NEED to see and be with their family/friends, especially for those who are much older.This place does not have the best interest in their residents!The windows where a resident always sat by every single day for hours has mold/asbestos that continued to build on instead of then fixing is disgusting and can make someone sick!

Great food service staff! Nurse managers are friendly and very attentive! Warm and welcoming atmosphere!!!

I have been a resident of Otterbein Franklin SeniorLife Community since 2019. It was one of the best decisions of my life joining this community and moving to Franklin Indiana.

This facility is an amazing place to work. They know how to take care of their employees and the staff will treat the residents like they are family.

My fully functioning grandma went to Otterbein for what was suppose to be 20 days of rehab to gain strength from a UTI then return home. Day 16, she was rushed to the ER unresponsive with an UNTREATED UTI that had turned to sepsis and also developed pneumonia. This all occurred under their watch. They told us on two seperate occasions they had tested her for a UTI and it was negative. Their stories never lined up. Claimed to be checking her vitals and kept changing her meds everyday.NEVER take your loved ones here. A simple UTI has landed her in critical condition because of their negligent care.

Enjoy working towards a goal of serving others! Otterbein Franklin gives me that opportunity!

Dad has been here for about 10 years. Great staff. Nursing staff is very caring and professional. Though at times short handed. Actually all staff there is very good. Ive been helped several times with insurance and billing questions. Good food too.

Not impressed with care will be looking at other facilities to take mom. No one should have to sit in a chair for hours. Called and the staff was not sure if she was even in bed.Poorr excuse for a facility

The staff here really care about their residents. They give their all 100% of the time. I just did a tour of this place and I could tell that the staff really cares about their coworkers and their residents.

Best nurses and care given here! All of the staff are nice and professional. The facility is clean and well taken care of. Would definitely recommend this facility!

I love coming to work! I get to watch my patients achieve their goals and ultimately go home. Also, I work side by side with caring nurses who listen to their patients.

I can honestly say Otterbein Senior Life is Awesome! From the Nurses, CNA’s, QMA’s, OT, PT, to Administration they genuinely care about you and your needs. I would recommend anyone to come here because you will be pleasantly surprised at how good it is!!! Otterbein Thank You for being such a great place!!!

Recently, shortly after arriving at our independent living home on the Otterbein Franklin SeniorLife Community campus (brick ranch - 3 bedroom - 2 bath - 2 car garage), we heard a loud noise in our garage. One of the garage door springs had broken. We called reception, she dispatched maintenance employees. They lifted the door to let us get a car out. In the meantime arrangements had been made for repair. The repair was finished by the garage door company by about 9 am the following morning.. This one call service along with the attitude and cooperative support by the Community staff make living here comfortable and free of stress.

Its great to know you have neighbors/friends whom you can trust to be there for you no matter what. Great place to sit on your porch or walk the peaceful neighborhood greeting neighbors as you go.

I I have lived here for over 6 Years in an apmt and have been taken care of very well when needed, staff are very friendly and caring. My husband is in health care for the same amount of time and has been cared for more than II can ask for and likes the staff also.

My mom spent just over a month here in the physical rehab facility she should have never been sent there thanks to the hospital where she got progressively worse and nothing was done while they milked her insurance until they wouldnt pay anymore then they threatened to send her to a psychiatric ward she then went by ambulance to another hospital were we found out she had stage 4 cancer and was placed then finally in hospice and passed away 10 days later

My mom spent 3 weeks here after a COPD flare up and hospital stay. My momma has always said do not put me in a nursing home. Well, she loved it ther and even said I could just live here. Very clean, friendly professional team. Mom got so much better with her rehab team. Thanks Otterbein for making momma feel safe, cared for, important and rehabilitated. God bless all of you. Keep your patients your #1 priority.

My brother was in this facility and they let him fall on 3 different occasions. I would not recommend this facility.

My mother had an abscess near her hip the size of a dime that went to the bone because nurses did not turn her. Worst care.
