I am looking for an new assisted living home for my parents, and have visited a few senior and assisted living places in the Franklin area. Courtney took me on a tour of Maristone yesterday. She was extremely helpful by identifying and matching all my parents needs with the amenities of the facility. She answered all my questions, and I left with a very good feeling of Maristone. All the staff I met yesterday were extremely nice. The building was nicely furnished and clean, with beautiful flowers In the courtyard. The residents all appeared happy and content. Maristone has a warm and friendly atmosphere, and I am definitely considering this as an option for my parents’s new home.

My father has been at Maristone since November of 2017 and has received excellent care. The staff members are friendly and professional, and I enjoy seeing them when I visit Dad. Judy, the activities director has been so kind to our family, and her gentle persistence has nudged him to participate more in the social events and start having more fun. Some of the caregivers and nurses have gone out of their way to make Dad feel more at home. As a veteran and a strong man, depending on others and dealing with memory loss has been a difficult thing for him, but the team members at Maristone are helping walk us through this new chapter of life. We’re grateful.

I love the staff and the nurses at Maristone. My mother has been there for almost two years, and she is treated like a member of the family. The place is small and intimate, so the caretakers really get to know the residents. There is much one-on-one care, lots of warmth and humor, and plenty of attention paid to moms health and well-being. If any questions arise or if moms behavior changes in any way, I get a phone call. I know she is being gently cared for, and it is a great relief to me. The events offered to residents are wonderful as well. My mother loves music, and she used to be a choir directer. Judy makes sure that Mom gets to all the musical events (of which there are many), and it brings her great joy. They also have arts and crafts, bingo, card games, and a variety of special events--a celebration of the artists among the residents; a showing of baby pictures where everyone tries to guess whos who; an antique car show; a valentine dinner with a harpist and low lights, a hoedown, a sock hop, and much more. The interior space is also lovely, with warm golden colors, cheerful apartments, an inviting dining room, a pretty patio with plenty of flowers, and a cozy bar space upstairs (with a piano). I find it pleasant to visit, and mom and I can always find a nice space (indoors or out) to walk, sit, or talk (or sing!). Ive had the great pleasure of making friends with many of the residents as well, many of whom assured me that they would watch over mom when I was out of town on a study abroad trip this summer. Everybody lives together like family. I would recommend Maristone to anyone. I know that all the people who work there really love my mother and all the residents. Im grateful for their professionalism and steady, patient care.

Maristone is a wonderful home. My dad has improved mentally and physically allowing him to have a life on his own. Theyre always there in a moments time when he needs them, or just there to be his family when were not there. This home has made him feel at home and cared for. Truly a blessing.

This place is wonderful. My Mom has been at Maristone for over 4 years and the treatment she receives from the nurses and staff is outstanding. I couldnt ask for any better healthcare than what she is receiving from the nursing staff. My Dad passed away while at Maristone and the compassion shown to my Mom and family went way beyond what was required. they keep me well informed in any change in Mothers health and are always available when I call.

*** UPDATE*** Maristone of Franklin Facebook page Admins removed this exact same post so it cannot be read, since this is a Google review it cannot be taken down, their response under this post from Amanda (the executive director I did not choose to name in either or my postings) is not an accurate representation of the way she handles problems in the facility.*** Id like to preface this post by saying I do not have family in this facility, nor have I been employed here. I have, however, had an exceptionally poor experience here. My boyfriend worked as a nurse here, and a few days ago I had dropped him off to work and was sitting in my car in the parking lot. A man walked out of the facility and came up to me in my car, where he went on a verbal rant and proceeded to reach into my car saying things that made it apparent that he was not in his right mind. After the police were called I found out that the man had previously caused issues in the facility and that he was in the building earlier that day. It was made known after following up with the police that he was arrested (after confronting me in my car) on multiple assault warrants. This dangerous man got into he building not once, but twice in the same day due to lackadaisical staff not taking action. A staff member had seen this man in the building and was made uncomfortable by him earlier in the day, and told her superiors of the incident, to which nothing was done. After the second incident involving myself, it was made very clear that the executive director was completely in the dark as to what goes on in and around her facility. She actually ended up placing the blame, of this man being dangerous and on Maristone property twice in one day, on anyone but herself. Instead of being present in what happens in her facility, taking charge, and addressing the situation accordingly, she acted in a highly unprofessional manner. Her awareness as to who is in her facility is highly lacking, and so is the communication in the higher positions of this facility. When there is a threat present, everyone should know, especially the director of the facility. When you are an executive director of a facility where you house and care for those who can no longer care for themselves, you are required to be in tune with your facility and what goes on there. The fact that nobody communicated this problem to her, and the way she handled the situation after she was made aware was not professional and very disheartening. I would not recommend bringing your family here as safety of residents, family members, and staff is non existent. Respect between some of the staff here is seriously lacking. That being said, there is a small handful of INCREDIBLE nurses, and INCREDIBLE caregivers who work here all whom I have met personally.

As an ex employee, I wouldnt recommend anyone to be a resident. Some of the workers are just there for a paycheck. They neglect the residents and are very lazy. Residents will go hours without being changed and weeks without a shower. The most disturbing part is myself and other employees would go to management informing them that residents werent getting changed nor getting showers and management did NOTHING. This made me feel like they didnt want to do anything because that would cause them to be short handed. There were even a few times when 2 of the residents that couldnt feed themselves didnt get fed. There is no accountability for these actions. This place is a no no!No thanks, he is one of the managers that was informed of the issues and did NOTHING... Maybe there should be an investigation!?! There have been several complaints including family members about the same issues. The only thing done was they moved the employee out of the family members sight. Once the family member was gone, they moved the employee back where she continued to play on her phone. Im sorry to say, but NOTHING will be done until there is some accountability. The residents do not deserve to be treated like that. But hey, its your company. Do what you want.

Amanda (the executive director) is not an accurate representation of the way she handles problems in the Work place. I was recently employed at the facility and due to issues I had no control of was fired. There was a fire drill done and with only myself and a nurse we was suppose to get 70+ people out of the building which is against state requirements ( which left me to contact the health department). When trying to explain Amanda over talked me and wouldn’t allow me or the nurse to talk.I have complained about third shift being under staffed multiple times for about 4-5 months now and nothing has been done, even went to the head nurse as well as HR about it. They have hired agency people to work second shift but has chosen to leave third shift short, not only was third shift short the kitchen was as well I as a caregiver had to cook or serve food after completing a shift of caregiving( we all know what that consist of) which is unsanitaryAt least one of the reviews left on here which would be considered a good review was asked to be done by the director herself (Amanda) due to having a bad review a few months before. She hasn’t improved the facility I personally wouldn’t recommend anyone to bring their family member to stay there. They say contact the executive director Amanda when the issue is her, what a joke if they cared about the problem or complaint then someone above her would be able to be contacted. Management at its finest

My mother has lived at Maristone for a year now . Due to covid restrictions it has been a very challenging year for all ! The staff at Maristone have been able to keep life there upbeat and positive! The chef there goes above and beyond to make sure the meals are wholesome and delicious . The activities director makes sure there is always something fun and stimulating going on and she connects with each resident personally. The general manager of Maristone is always available to discuss any issue that may arise and is very compassionate to the needs of the residents. The outdoor space has been carefully and beautifully developed and is a very peaceful space . I have had experience with several assisted living facilities in franklin and Spring Hill. I have had very poor experience with one in Spring hill , and positive experiences with several in Franklin . Maristone is among the best ! I believe their heart is in it for their residents! My mother has had a happy and productive year here at Maristone.
