He performed a bowl resection on me on December 18th and not only was I back to work in a month but I did not need to be left open to heal. He even went so far as to meet me in the hospital parking lot ON SUNDAY because I was still nursing an abces after the surgery and we were worried that there might be complications. As fragile as she was, when he saw how urgent her condition was, he made time in his busy schedule to perform the surgery. Dr. Thang Nguyen help saved my mom last night. My mom is in critical care in Fountain Valley Regional hospital and they found she has a perforation of her duodenum. This is a second on and since my mom has kidney issue and liver cirrhosis, the surgent assigned to her does not have the courage to perform the surgery to patch the lesion. My brother and I spent hours trying to convince the hospital to operate on my mom to fix the leak, but they refused on the ground that my mom was very weak. They want to wait but we know the longer we wait the weaker my mom will be and she will never get out of this loop. We requested a second opinion. They told us Dr. Thang will come see my mom. He was in surgery so he came to see my mom immediately after the surgery of another patient. As soon as he saw my mom, you can see his compassion toward my mom and his empathy to her suffering. My brother and I did not have to say anything to Dr. Thang. He just told my mom he will help us. He decided on the spot to operate on my mom to patch the leak. He personally worked with the nurse to prep my mom for surgery. After two hours, the surgery was successful and my mom is in stable condition. Dr. Thang deserves 100 stars for his compassion and his skills. He gave my family hope when we were hopeless because we could not convince the other doctors to help our mom. We even asked the hospital to transfer our mom to another hospital but they told us we would be doing so against medical advise. Dr. Thang is a hero to my family. Thank God for doctor Thang. May God bless doctor Thang so he can continue to do his work to help the world.
