Entire experience was top notch!! Everyone from the receptionist to the doctors were professional and helpful. They all went out of their way to help/manage any needs. The nurses were a joy to deal with and you could tell they enjoyed their job. VERY SATISFIED and glad I chose them for my surgery.

The care that I received from Dr. Winters and his team was exceptional. My surgery had complications in which Dr. Winters not only solved the the problem but in recovery his team provided not only to me but my entire family the care to to set our minds at ease.I am currently in home recovery but have every expectation for a complete recovery.

I was brought in late Saturday night and the nurse was super sweet and kind. I hadnt eaten at all that day due to being in another ER for almost 8 hours, she got me food and settled me in . The following two days were just as smooth. Danielle, Katelyn and Mary were just as fantastic. I felt all my labs and radiology were taken care of in a timely fashion and my questions were answered in language I could understand. The only downfall was the food.

The nurses and staff are very professional and are there to care for their patients. They helped the process go great And really cared for the patient.

I would love to mention everyone by name that helped me during my stay but Im afraid I would miss someone. Every single person I encountered during my two days was exceptionally kind and helpful. From beginning to end the experience was so positive which in my opinion helps a person heal faster. If the need ever arises again for orthopedic care I would not hesitate going back. I my PACE experience. My veins wanted to go deep so it took a bit of time. The nurses and phlebotomist tried but they were all great giving me water and warm blankets to get those veins to pop. Deb and Kate tried their best but it was Kevin that saved the day and finally got the blood.After my surgery nurse Meagan took care of me and she was great. My physical therapist Carol was great too with her caring and patience. The 3rd shift nurse Ellen was as sweet as could be. She went up and beyond helping me and getting me a fan. She tried hard to get me some sleep but it just wasn’t happening. So we just talked. It means a lot when you are scared and hurting. David the nurses assistant was very gentle with me also. Everyone was so kind and caring and means the world to me. Words can not express how thankful I am for all of them.I have had different surgeries at different hospitals and Lutheran Orthopedic Hospital is by far the best there is. If and when I have to get another procedure done you better believe Lutheran is where I will be going. Thank you all for doing what you do!!

Best hospital I.ve ever stayed at. Every single employee I met went out of my way to make me comfortable. I was not a local resident, was in terrible pain and scared.I don.t have the words to describe how impressed I was.

I was transported from Rochester, IN to Lutheran Ortho after a serious ankle fracture. Emergency surgery was performed right away and everything was explained to me as it happened. Dr Beuchel and his NP Faith Rolwes teamed up to make an excellent repair. I was admitted overnight and the floor nurses were all very caring and gentle.I originally was upset that I was taking so far from home but I can’t say even good about the care I received at Lutheran! Thank You!

The surgery was ahead of schedule everything went well. Nurses were great and helpful. Room was confortable for having back surgery.

Entire staff was upbeat and helpful. Made me feel relaxed and at ease. Food was pretty good and the only thing I would like to see changed is the salt. It is like a powder hot crystals. It comes out very fast and over salts the food.

All the nurses and all the aides were awesome! Everyone was really sweet and took great care of me from the time I got there before surgery and after. My Dr. was the greatest and so was all the staff. I highly recommend this hospital for anyone needing orthopedic care.

Everyone was nice and friendly. They answered my questions and help me whenever I needed it. Overall everything went great. Five stars!

I haven never received such great care although I say this Everytime i im there which has been alot the past year! this time was no exception , such concern care , so much help Ill never forget these people who come into my life like true angels that they are , truly blessed by them, from head nurse my three male nurses, physical therapy care my angelsGod bless them all always!!

Everything was good while I was in the hospital, the nurse was great, she kept checking up on me.TheOne thing I did not like was no one Called the next day to find out how I was doing, my arm was swollen and it was a pinkish, reddish color so I had to call Ortho up to find out if that was okay or if there was need for concern.

I appreciated the great care I received from all of the staff at the Orthopedic Hospital last week. I had knee replacement surgery done there, and I was very happy with all aspects of my visit.

Back surgery on June 28th and home on July 1st. Dr Robert Shugart and the team were AWESOME!!

I was admitted from ED to Ortho Hospital after a stingray sting on vacation. I am an RN myself and kept waiting for that “uncaring and poor bedside manor” staff but it never happened in the 5 days I was there. From the nurses to the PCAs to the doctors to the lab techs to pre-op , post-op, housekeeping, dietary, everyone was absolutely magnificent. I was never expecting to be admitted to the hospital, so the staff made what was a traumatic experience a bit better and helped me through a situation that was much more serious than I realized.

The orthopedic unit at Lutheran was absolutely excellent to me in my recent stay with a broken femur. They took the time to make me feel important and did everything they could to keep me comfortable all the way down to getting me a fan for my room. Absolutely incredible professionalism...

Was a complete waste of my time and energy. Kept me doped up so didnt have to do rehab. Rehab that was done could count on one hand I 6 day span. Asked to go to rehab facility, told didnt qualify, yes I did, then told insurance wouldnt pay, yes it will. Asked what kind of insurance I had. Well if you called and they declined you should know that.Fight for yourself because the case worker. CINDY, wont. Too lazy to do her job. If you need Orthopedic surgery go anywhere else but there.Only 2 nurses that really helped. Riley and Ryan. Thanks Riley, but Cindy was too lazy to get me into a rehab facility. Fell 2 times 1st night I was home. Ryan your gummy bears are coming.I fell the first night in hospital, why, because nurse did NOT have a hold on the belt around me. So doped up tried to wipe myself standing up. Then , oh well you can imagine the words flying.Now if you are a man you will be treated with kid gloves.

My experience at Lutheran Orthopedic Ft Wayne was great. Preparing for, proceeding with, and recovering from back surgery can be full of anxiety for the patient. Dr Rahn and his well experienced and extremely caring staff made me feel secure. I felt like a mother, sister, best friend of theirs with their attention to every detail being in their minds. Working for the medical industry, I know it’s not an easy job caring for others. This hospital, Dr Rahn, and all of staff did it with skill and ease. Always a smile, pat on the back, and before exiting asking if they could do anything else for me. I wouldn’t want to have another surgery, but if there was a need I would contact Dr Rahns office and say..”please help me!” and THEY WOULD. My experience from start to finish was exceptional. The doctors, nurses, assistant nurses, etc. Were all friendly and professional.

Exceptional staff and care. I ended up with slight complications with medication side affects and felt I was in excellent hands.

This was my third back fusion in 2 years and my third visit to The Orthopedic Hospital. Under the circumstances, dealing with the pain.I was experiencing and navigating through the necessary procedures related to Covid 19, my stay beginning with the Pace Clinic to my surgery and my post-op care was excellent.

I asked several people to please return the hardware that was removed from my hip to be returned to me and was promised it would be done but no one can find it. I really need it and although I’ve been reassured they’re looking for it it is most disappointing I’ve had to go through this.

Dont go here! The hospital and staff are fine, but every trip here results in some financial disaster. Wrong billing, billing a year later, failure to handle insurance, etc. Their web site is a disaster, the billing area is completely unusable.There are lots of hospitals in Fort Wayne, pick another one.

My initial visit to this place was because I was ordered to go here after Lutheran ER. I was told to be there first thing in the morning because I probably needed surgery and its first come, first serve. I showed up in the morning in quite a bit of pain since ER didnt do much for me. First off, the computers were down and I stood in line for quite some time before I was allowed to sit down. When I was finally able to sign in, I was immediately told I needed to pay $2700 up front or no surgery! I said all I brought was my ID and insurance card. SOMEONE needed to tell me this BEFORE I arrived! (ER said nothing and when we called in no one mentioned) All the receptionist said was Yeah, I wish they would warn people too. Fortunately my husband had a charge card. I was so stressed about the money. After my exam, they said I needed to go sit in another area. We waited 45 minutes with me STILL in pain. I finally stopped an employee to complain and was seen. All this was about was scheduling my 2 week after surgery exam! The communication is horrible.My surgery ended up not being scheduled until the next day so back again I went. Everything went well but I got the impression I was about the last surgery of the day. I was rushed out and my after care paperwork was pretty vague.My 2 week after check took 1.5 hours. I guess MY time isnt worth anything...

They were amazing!

Hip replacement last week. Dr Hannah and anesthesiologist were great. Care downhill from there. Too much time from surgery recovery to pain meds- hours. Then given 2 doses of dilaudid, tramadol , flexeril, and then morphine. Thought I was going to die. Was supposed to get meds from Walgreens but didnt as I went to a rehab which was an even bigger mistake . It was so horrible left AMA. So have no meds. BTW- Im ok if anyone cares. Good luck to all.

This place is amazing. Its a five star hospital. The nurses are great and the management is amazing. You will be taken care of here well. I used to work here and from my experience this place is one of a kind
