In 2020 I had a lower back (L2 & L3) and cervical fusion with Dr Phoung. I have never been so disappointed in a medical establishment. Dr Phoung is a fantastic surgeon but the staff with his team are very negligent, and have made this whole experience such a nightmare. His team had left me feeling undefeated, and like they were not wanting to help with my care and healing. So much of this experience has been frustrating. For example, calling the office multiple days in a row trying to get a prescription refilled and can not even get a response. When I was actually able to get a response from the office on Friday at 4:45 promising the prescription was sent just to call the pharmacy to find they had not received anything and then the office was closed. I wish I could say this only happened on one occasion but this has been something I have had to deal with almost every time I have needed anything sent from Dr Phoungs office over the past year. I wish I would’ve been more aware of the lack of care for patients, sluggishness, and unresponsiveness. If you are considering this office, you will be seeing a great doctor but it’s just so disappointing that his staff is notrepresenting himself as he deserves.

I truly like this dr and his staff. Hes very pleasant to speak with and explains everything that is going on. Im going to on 3 weeks with cervical spine surgery and so far so good!! I would definitely recommend him

Dr. Phuong fused my grandfathers back very flat. He is unable to stand due to pain. Please ask Dr. Phuong if he believes in balancing a spine if he is going to fuse you or put any screws in. Ask him how he intends to correct the spine in order to help back pain.

Dr.Phong and his team at Neuro spine and pain center are truly amazing. I was treated like a person. Was given respect. He did amazing job on my back surgery. No complication whatsoever. I would recommend him to anyone.

After two prior unsuccessful lumbar procedures This guy not only diagnosed me properly and explained it accordingly, he fixed my back! I came back and now he has fixed my neck!3-4 years of pain clinic injections and ablations, pain meds, two unsuccessful lumbar procedures! It’s amazing! The staff he has are also super people that give you all the info and support you need to work your way through it all. If I need anything else done I’ll start here for sure!!

My mother who is in her late 70s has had two beec fusions and one lower lumbar fusions with Dr Phoung and had excellent results and I would HIGHLY recommend this Dr for those of you who have intense problems with discs and spinal cord problems.... HE IS THE BEST

I am writing this review on September 9, 2017. In early April 2017 I was referred to Dr. Phuong by the ER Dr. at Dupont hospital as well as by Dr. James M. Cox, DC. I was suffering from a herniated disc, had severe left side sciatic nerve pain into my foot and could not stand or walk. Dr. Phuong performed a discectomy and laminectomy on me on a Tuesday morning at Lutheran Hospital and I walked out early afternoon on the same day.I followed the doctors orders and began walking in moderation, didnt lift anything heavy for 8 weeks and continued to increase my walking distance over the following months. I have been back to work for months now with no back issues and I couldnt be happier with the results! My thanks to Dr. Phuong and his entire team for getting me through this process very comfortably and professionally. Everyone involved throughout my process was very friendly and they are all my heros!

Dr. Phoung performed my surgery on my neck its going on a week and im feeling great im not doing to much to soon but i feel myself getting back to my old self. Jannette his nurse was great also by checking on me after the surgery. I will recommend this Doctor and his staff.

Best back surgeon in Fort Wayne hands down!
