Not very efficient office. I was told they would call me if chest cray was abnormal. I called 3 times and found out I need further tests done. Then they are happy to wait over a month for my follow up Appointment to address a critical result. Ok for Allergy shot here, but other wise go elsewhere.

Dr. Smits gets my vote. This man found that lettuce is my main allergy problem, along with a long list of others. Dr. Smits also works on cars, if you guys want a down to earth Doctor to chat with. He knows his stuff.Michael D. Wohlford

Dr. Smits sincerely cares about helping patients feel better and improving their health. When a pulmonologist told me that he had no answers to help me with the lung problem I experienced, Dr. Smits began a regime of treatment and within 2 weeks I could walk without shortness of breath. Additionally, after seeing my blood test results he noticed my thyroid numbers were low even though I have been on mrds for years. My PCP kept saying my level was ok. Dr. Smits changed the dosage and in two weeks I was sleeping through the night, feeling rested and all dry skin was gone. Huge changes to my life for the better.

Every single one of the providers, that I have seen, have been amazing. The staff is quite outstanding as well. They always make you feel comfortable and they show compassion. I couldnt ask for better providers for my severe asthma. You are a true blessing.

I have a lot of health issues. Including several I had no idea about because my team at the engle road office took time to check things no one else thought to check. Turned out I needed a second Mmr and pneumonia vaccine because my bodys immune system has been failing. Which is why I had gotten pneumonia a year and a half after my first shot when they are supposed to last 10 to 15 years. But no other doctor looked into it. Also because of things they have at their disposal I dont have to take daily steroids for long when I am sick with my seasonal lung issues. I get one shot and enough pills to last until the shot is fully active. Used to have to take multiple doses of steroids over a 2 to three month period with little positive results. The shot gives me improved chances of fighting the illness within a week. And because I am disabled I have financial issues and often when I cant afford medicine co pays they find a way to insure I have what I need. When I read the negative reviews I feel sorry that they are so concerned with wait times. The quality of care they give, the amount of time they put into patients and the fact that you can walk in and get an appointment when you are bad off is well worth it. Would rather wait two hours in their waiting room for excellent care than 3 hours in a hospital for sorta good care.

Great staff, easy to work with on treatment plans, questions are answered directly. Scheduling and rescheduling is generally smooth if needed. I have been coming here for nearly 2 years and i have recieved the results I came here for. Will continue to recommend.

As a current employee, I see patients walk in our doors miserable and unhappy. They share part of their story with me at check in and I can’t help but feel for them. But by the time they finish their visit with Dr Smits or one of his fantastic nurse practitioners, they have a smile on their face because they have a plan for relief. The care our patients receive is nothing less than the best. I love working with such an amazing team. I highly recommend going to the Allergy and Asthma Center!

We always had major issues of having to wait really long periods of time to be seen. Took my kids to see a new physician and had new testing done. Turns out they were completely misdiagnosed and prescribed unnecessary medications.

I dont know where I would be without Dr Smit office and all his nurse practitioners. Five stars in not nearly enough for you and your team because you-all deserve around of applause for job of excellences. I watched my disabled son suffer for years with his asthma going in and out of hospitals with pneumonia and RSV. The min I brought him here there first priority was to get my son on a plan to keep him well and out of the hospitals and they sure have done that for him very well by taking the time to find the right meds to work for him. Not only did they do that. For years my son suffered from gagging and choking on his food not being able to eat right because of it. But they found me the help I need to help my son to stop gagging and choking on his food through Drs and therapy. Not only do they see my son but they see me to am very thankful for all the times when I went to the hospital and went home not feeling right still being able to call them and ask them if they can recheck only to make me feel so much better with there plan they gave me. I suffer from severe acid reflux for years but thanks to all of you with Dr Smit I dont have as many problems with my acid reflux now because of the meds you found to work for me. I appreciate the fact that if you call them in the middle of the night they will call back and try to help you as much as they can. You will not find a better group of associate then the ones at Dr Smit office. We really do appreciate all the help you have given us with our health issues and Thank you for putting us on the road recovery everyday.

Ive been going to the Allergy & Asthma Center for 3 years now. I struggled to breathe for many years during allergy season. I also would have pneumonia or bronchitis several times a year. The team at AAC were able to determine my allergies, and start me on a treatment plan for my asthma . They really improved my quality of life. I am able to swim and excercise and enjoy outdoor activities.I am a caregiver for the elderly. So it is imperative that I stay well. If I feel something coming on or if I am sick, AAC is always quick to get me in to be seen. All the Practitioners are great . I know that no matter who I see, they all are working for me to live my best life.I feel very blessed by Dr. Smits and the AAC team.

If I could give them 100 stars I would! Dr. William L. Smits is hands down the best doctor I have ever seen.

I was very sick after being released from Lutheran hospital with an acute asthma attack. I was there for 4 days and felt bad when released. I went to my PCP and was given more antibiotics and more steroids. I had no improvement and called the AAC. I was able to get in and see Dr Smits the next day. After a lengthy appt and CTscan he diagnosed me with a fungal infection that was only getting worse on the current treatment plan. He gave me a shot of a steroid, magnesium and told me I would feel better by the evening. I did the nebulizer treatment aye home.the treatments 4 times a day. By the next day I was so much better I was amazed. I continued to prove and was thrilled with the improvement.So after having an upper respiratory infection I was given the standard treatment of Antibiotics but saw little improvement. After 3 regimes if Antbiotics I recognize used the symptoms and called AAC and was seen the next day. Again I had the fungal infection and was treated with another antifungal agent. . Dr Smits yook the time to explain in detail what was causing this and how we will keep it from being such a nasty problem. I have been so impressed with his compassionate care. His staff if equally as good. I would recommend the AAC to anyone with allergies. They are great!

Ive read reviews that people have waited an hour in the lobby. Its either an exaggeration or an extremely rare event. My children have been seen for many years and Ive had to wait no longer than 15 minutes. The staff is great. Ive learned so much about my childrens conditions thanks to the nurse practitioners and the doctor. Ive never had an unhappy visit.

It is such a joy to work with great staff and providers! Everyone truly cares for each patient and works to provide them with excellent care.

One of the doctors I saw was so sweet and caring. She took the time to really listen and that is such a huge part of providing good care.

We always have to sit for at least an hour before we get seen by the nurse there but they did give us a gift card, that was nice

I was misdiognoised and told I have Asthma. A number of doctors told me I did not. I was percribed many uneeded medicines that could have been bad for me.

Amazing staff and providers! I have worked at this location for over 12 years now and could never imagine working anywhere else! As an RN, you do not find practices that hire as many educated nurses as we do. I left the hospital because I was forced to treat my patients as a number and was so overworked that I couldnt give my patients the time they needed and so badly deserved. Not at The AAC! I LOVE the fact that I can sit down with any patient and really listen to them and educate them on their disease process without feeling rushed. Dr. Smits is one of the most genuinely compassionate humans I know and I am forever grateful to be a nurse at his practice.
