Everyone was kind courteous and professional. I never had to wait long for an appointment. And the surgery turned out wonderful. Fully functional again. Would definitely use them again and refer them to my friends. Dr. Bynum is one of the best surgeons in Southwest Florida.

Fantastic Doctor and expert surgeon. Very caring and personable. You leave surgery whiteout knowing youve been there. I always had to ask if he did anything. (No kidding). Ive been his patient for over 12 years. Hes my first orthopedic doctor I talk to even though it may not be his specialty. He has no reluctance to recommending someone he feels is betters qualified. While surgery is his practice, it is the LAST option of his treatment. He prefers less invasive options if viable and available.

This was second surgery for a torn rotator cuff. It was a bad tear and I was told by other doctors it couldn’t be repaired. Dr Bynum not only fixed it but did a fantastic job of it. Office is well run with excellent caring and very friendly staff. Highly recommend.

Lee Coconut Point medical center was superb; small glitch was informed to be there at 4:45A but opened at 5:30....What was important was the staff, most empathic and informative and very progessional..and it wasnt just one or two but the entire staff...Nursing and especially the anesthesiologist, kept me informed all through the procedure. Lastly but most important was Dr. Bynum, great surgeon and follow up with a video conference to explain what he found and what he performed....best bar none. What a wonderful medical experience!!!!!!

Dr. Bynum performed shoulder surgery on multiple rotator cuff tears along with frozen shoulder on May 13, 2021. I was told by friends that the surgery will be a painful one and a very long time to recover. Well ..... SINCE the day of surgery (actually 2 days later when the pain block shot wore off) I have had NO PAIN whatsoever! Started physical therapy 6 days after surgery. The ONLY pain has been in therapy . BUT ... that pain was a GOOD pain as my shoulder began healing and becoming stronger! Im still going to therapy, but I was released to start swing my golf clubs after ONLY 4 months!! I still have sometime to go to further strengthen my shoulder, but I couldnt be more pleased by the outcome! Especially since I am a senior citizen. THANK YOU DR. BYNUM!!!

He was cheerful and confident in that one can try shots of cortisonesinstead of jumping into surgery. I am so pleased knowing the recoverytime can stretch out over 6 months. I am very hopeful. We liked him somuch. All the staff that we encountered were just also wonderful. My appt was this morning and already the cortisone is working on my shoulder.

Dr. Bynum did an amazing job restoring my hip. He answered all of my questions, and made me feel more than comfortable with getting my surgery.

After dealing with my injury for nearly a year with other doctors, I was referred to Dr Bynum. He actually took time to understand where the pain was coming from and quickly decided to check for an injury others hadn’t thought of. Imaging showed Dr Bynum’s thought to be correct. He scheduled surgery and after some arguing with workers comp he completed the surgery just a few days ago. While there is the post surgery pain as expected I’m now hoping for a recovery that wasn’t possible before. Dr Bynum is friendly, yet professional. After being a patient of his for several months now he would be my preferred surgeon for any other surgery I may need in my future and I wouldn’t hesitate for a minute to have him operate on my family if needed. If I could change anything it would be to allow my wife to be with me during pre op and post op as has been the case during other surgeries in other hospitals. Otherwise my experience with Dr Bynum has been wonderful. His staff both at his office and at the surgical center were friendly and professional. You can’t ask for more than that.

Words can’t express how wonderful and caring Dr Bynum is. Always a smile when he enters the room and actually listens to what your concern is. He didn’t brush off my symptoms until he figured out the problem. After 6 years of pain from a NY hip replacement he fixed the issue now pain free and I can lift my leg.

This was my first meeting with Dr. Bynum. He was professional but very friendly. The office staff was very efficient so when Dr. Bynum sat down to examine me everything went very smoothly. Today was my first time meeting Dr James Bynum for my left knee that I jarred. He was friendly, professional and curteous... taking the time to ask questions to better understand about my knee and the pain. I never felt rushed unlike most doctors offices. So thankful he stated surgery would be the very last option. Instead we opted to go with a cortisone injection to see if it will help. I like Dr. Bynum but every visit hes always behind. A few minutes would be OK but its almost always close to an hour after my appointment time.

Dr. Bynum is an ethical orthopedic surgeon! He performed arthroscopic surgery on my torn hip labrum a year ago and I am currently pain free with full range of motion. Today I received a cortisone shot for a rotator tendon impingement and am so pleased that the doc doesn’t automatically jump to the need for surgery like so many other Orthopedic surgeons do. He knows that through proper efforts, healing/recovery is possible and surgery isn’t always necessary. The entire office staff is extremely pleasant, helpful and professional.

A really good experience. Unlike my former surgeon who is being ridiculous with Covid measures, I was able to get xrays, consultation and a cortisone shot in one visit. Dr. Bynum is a straight shooter and didnt try to immediately talk me into a surgery.

Dr. Bynum is very good at explaining procedures and answering patient questions. He will take the tie to draw pictures and explain anatomy in easy to understand terms. Some office procedures and initial scheduling system could be improved, but once you’re in, you get extension numbers for ease of communication. While I hope I never have a reason to return, I would call his office first if I have other hip problems in the future.

I am so happy to finally be in the care of a hip specialist! I have bounced around to different orthopedic doctors over the last year, all wonderful in their own way, but was ultimately referred to Dr. Bynum because of his expertise with hips. I feel completely confident in his ability and am relieved he will be performing my surgery. I was also very impressed he went over my MRI and CT scans with me. My initial doctor (Krynetsky) referred me to Dr. Bynum saying he was better at the procedure I needed which is pretty awesome itself.Surgery went exactly as planned but I had some post-operative swelling and discomfort. The office called me first to check how I was doing and then told me to come in to check it out. No additional cost and they gave me some treatment that really helped.This is a caring and professional organization with super high quality.

I love Dr. Bynums office!! Great Doctor words cant describe how please I am with him. He has the best bedside by far. He takes the time to really talk to you. Most surgeons are full of themselves, but him he explains everything to you so you understand. Unfortunately I didnt go to him first wish I would have. When you see Dr. Bynum youre not just meeting with a doctor your meeting with someone who wants to help and treats you like a person not a paycheck or numbers. Wonderful surgeon! Dr. Bynum has done a rotator cuff repair and biceps tendon reattachment 2 years ago, and recently repaired a meniscus tear in my knee. He is the best! Knowledgeable, friendly, punctual, and does amazing work. No complications, and fast recovery!

Excellent. Bynum was the fourth doctor Id been to in almost 3 years. Nobody had been able to tell me what was wrongbefote him. He diagnosed me on the second or third visit. I had surgery and am now doing PT. On the way to what I hope is a full recovery. I would recommend him to anyone, hes that good.

I’ve had many surgeries in my 38 years, if you were to ask me 8 years ago if I ever pictured myself running again I would have laughed but I am! A wonderful surgeon, Two Achilles repairs, a bad IT band and a lot of therapy now has me 80lbs lighter and running on a treadmill like nothing has happened! They truly are the best in the Joint, I send everyone I know there!

He allowed me the opportunity to try physical therapy before we jumped into surgery, but when we realized physical therapy wasnt going to get the job done, he proceeded with the surgery on my hip. After years of problems, I am finally almost back to full health. He is incredibly professional, personable and just absolutely amazing at what he does - the best in Southwest Florida. My recovery time was significantly less than expected because he is just that good. Always a good experience with Dr Bynum. I have been a patient of Dr Bynum for 5 years now. Playing many sports to include Ice Hockey has taken a toll on my body over the years. I rely on Dr Bynum to Keep me in the game and that is exactly what he has done. In 2016 I had an arthroscopy of my right hip and am pain free to this day. In 2019 Dr Bynum performed the same surgery on my left hip and 3 months later ZERO pain and back to Ice Hockey!As I watch the practice grow, I smile at their success. Doing the right thing at the right time is important. They do just that in retrospect. No unnecessary surgeries, no BS, just good ole honest and professional recommendations and service. All that being said..as long as Dr Bynum is in town, he gets all my hip work and all my hip referrals ! Nice job to his staff as well!

I recently had a shoulder athroscopy for a torn labrum in my shoulder he went in and fixed the problem and im feeling very good thus far. He is very knowledgable and thorough in explaining procedures and rehabs.Also very compassionate and humorous guy very laid back at the same time really I could not ask for a better doctor.

I had a bad experience with my first shoulder surgery with a different doctor. I found out after 8 months of pain and therapy that I was going to need another surgery. I went to two doctors for their opinions and was told that it was bad, almost unrepairable, and well do our best. Luckily I went to Dr Bynum and he told me he was going to go in their and fix it. I felt comfortable from the moment he stepped into the room. Not only did he fix my shoulder, but he fixed other areas including a torn bicep that he discovered while doing the shoulder repair. Although its only 2 weeks after the surgery and I have a long road ahead, I feel 10 times better than I did after the first one and I am hopeful this will be the last! Thank you to Dr Bynum for working your magic, I am extremely grateful and I cant wait to get back to doing the things I love to do! I strongly recommend seeing Dr Bynum before you go anywhere else!!!

The Outpatient facility for surgery was the cleanest and had the best knowledgeable nurses that will care for all your needs. Rotator Cup surgery can have a painful recovery. If you need surgery, pick the best, Dr. Bynum. You dont want to do it again.
