Friendly, easy going staff. Nice environment. I didnt feel like we were getting the up sell or unnecessary treatment. Dr. SMITH and his staff were terrific.

Dr. Smith disfigured my eyelid for a medically unnecessary procedure! Id give 0 stars if I could. To fix Dr. Smiths malpractice, I am going to have to have plastic surgery and spend $1000s. Ill be sending him the bill.I went to Dr. Smith after being referred to him by my optometrist for removal of a small, pimple like, white dot UNDER my eyelid. I will emphasize that this pimple was NOT viewable by anyone other than me. Dr. Smith burned off a half-moon shaped divot on my upper eyelid that is now in plain view of anyone I look at. Ive had dozens of people ask me what happened to your eye? as a result - when before, no one EVER saw it. Further, on both occassions of seeing him, Dr. Smith tried to assure me, it will heal, the skin will grow back, your eyelashes will return. Its been 7 months and the divot still there and eyelashes still gone. I trusted him to do work that HE should have REFERRED to someone else. He turned a small pimple into a large divot for medically unnecessary reasons! Oh, but he charged me $500+ so he could tell me that my eyelid skin didnt have cancer.This guy is a fraud and takes advantage of all those he encounters (old, young, smart, dumb - doesnt matter who you are). Stay Away!!!

I absolutely love Dr. Smith and his staff. Every time I visit, I get a thorough eye exam and all of my questions are answered. The staff members tell me about each procedure and I am always at ease because of that. All of my questions about Medicare and insurance have always been answered promptly and courteously. I can say the same thing for the surgery center, St. Marks Surgery Center, Ft. Myers, where Dr. Smith performed my two cataract surgeries. Very nice and caring human beings!

Ive only met the doctor once for a few minutes so I have limited exposure for a review. However I trust the person who referred me to this doctor. The office staff was efficient and friendly. I always appreciate a doctors office that adheres to appointment times. The individual who did my initial eye exam was professional and knowledgeable. He made me feel comfortable. After meeting with doctor for a few minutes I went ahead and scheduled my surgery.

I was experiencing flashing lights and floaters. The office got me in right away. This was my 1st visit and they made me feel right at home. I was thoroughly checked over and diagnosed. Very happy with everyone that helped me with this experience.

Efficiently rum office. I was seen on time and completed my thorough eye exam in less than an hour.

Everyone is friendly and on time. Each person I saw explained what they were doing and why. They also gave me an opportunity to voice my opinion or questions.Dr. Kaplan was took her time to diagnose my problem as well as explain it to me. She printed information about my condition to take home as well.All said and done I was very happy to give them my business.

I felt I was totally pressured to have cataract surgery...I will be leaving this practice...

Wow, awesome staff. professional and well organized. Dr Smith is into doctoring not into selling u products.I have had laser surgery to release pressure in my eyes, with my glasses my vision is 20/20.Note: I do not get my eye glasses at the eye center because they are very expensive, however this is a different entity. I go to Eyeglass world and get 2 for one with extended warranty.

Everyone is friendly and professional. I feel my eyes are in excellent hands with Dr. Smith. He takes the time to answer my questions and diagnosed me with dry eye syndrome today. He has everything there to do allergy testing with the dry eye testing along with treatments. In my opinion, he is the most competent and knowledgeable ophthalmologist Ive ever had care for my eyes.

Dr. Smith and his staff treated me and my family with great respect. My father comes every six months for his diabetes and Dr. Smith always answers all of his questions respectfully and professionally. Great optical selection too!

Good Dr but not the best bed side manner.

I was treated horribly. I was made to feel stupid for asking questions about my treatment. I am 53 and came to this office with referral from my primary care Dr. for specific eye care. I feel like they just were interested in selling me glasses. The more questions I asked the smaller I was made to feel. I have never felt so uncomfortable at a Drs office in all my life.

Dr. Smith is a highly knowledgeable, caring physician with an amazing staff. I have been his patient for years and I am very grateful for his excellent care.

Worst experience ever. I was made to feel as if could not afford to be there by Dr. Kaplan. I’m not sure what about me gave her the impression that I didn’t have money, but her attitude towards me was rather insulting. I was shocked by the way she spoke to me, I wish I had said something to her then but I refrain from showing her the same disrespect she was showing me. The rest of the staff was nice and friendly but I will certainly not be returning.

My husband and I had back-to-back appointments. He had not been seen by the time I had finished . (I waited 30 minutes to be seen) We had to cancel his appointment as we had a 5 oclock engagement. Very disappointing.
