If you ever need an eye doctor for cataracts , Collins Vision is the BEST one. Their office staff is superb. They are kind, considerate, helpful and just unbelievably nice. They treat you like you are their only patient. This definitely goes for the doctors as well. They talk to you FACE TO FACE and not talk to you while writing down notes. Your issues becomes theirs. Very thorough examination with testing. I suddenly experienced double vision in one eye. I was able to get an immediate appointment. Issue resolved with treatment. Excellent technicians & Dr Rosen was attentive & proactive in prescribing treatment.

Check in was quick and easy with a cheerful and courteous receptionist. The wait was short for my initial electronic eye tests. There was a significantly longer wait to have my eyes tested for new prescription lenses, but the experience was pleasant and thorough. My conditions were well documented and testing was done very professionally. After eyes were dilated, the wait was reasonable to see my Optometrist, Dr. Alessi. She was efficient in reviewing my condition and concluding the exam. The checking out was straightforward, and I was given some disposable sunglasses to wear outside in the daylight.

I went in because the doctor at LensCrafters said I had glaucoma and cataracts. The front desk and the assistant who tested me were great. Dr Rosen was wonderful besides being a Yankees fan (I’m from south of Boston 😃). He determined I in fact did not have glaucoma and my cataracts were so slight that I need not worry about them for at least a couple years. The facility was clean and modern and I will sing their praises to any who ask. Great experience!

Dr. Collins performed lasik surgery on my right eye. He was very informative before the surgery and gentle during the surgery. My parents trusted him with their eye surgeries and now I trust him with mine. Thank you!

Staff is always friendly, no long wait to see the doctors there

Very dissatisfied with service since I was not refracted be real optometrist! He showed up after exam and never looked at my eyes when I was wearing my original contacts to see if they were fitting properly! Then the tech said that the Rx that I was wearing was the same so she filled out Rx and changed the BC to a different number! Now I have a different Rx and don’t know if it will work!

Terrible first experience. Wouldnt recommend for busy schedules as they dont keep to their own schedule. Was called to pick up glasses. Asked what time they close they said 4:30. Showed up at 3:45 to locked doors and every employee gone already. Cool. Part timers.

I called Collins Eye Group today due to an eye infection. The schedule coordinator promptly returned my call and explained the physicians were not able to treat my infection. She provided the name and phone numbers for two plastic surgeons who could help me and explained what I could expect at my appointment. I’m not a patient and they still went above and beyond for me, I can only imagine the treatment I would receive as a patient. Highly recommend!

People are nice and friendly. The mask mandate is bothersome with the 6 foot distancing tough to do in some of their small testing rooms. Cheap masks that fall apart do not help

Dr. Collins did my cataract surgery but for some reason my left eye was unable to process the lens he put in there to correct my vision so o asked if he could take out that lens and I’d get glasses instead. He said removing lens is almost never doneI’m on disability and I used my savings to pay for cataract surgery. Also have numerous health problems. So Dr Collins did second surgery and didn’t charge me for procedure. It worked out great and then I got glassesDr Rosen who works there is so kind and patient always makes time to explain everything.Collins vision cares about people. I would recommend them to everyone.Also Mark the person who helped me pick frames and explained lenses is very caring and helpful

This place knows what they are doing. 2 years ago my husband had a complication after surgery. The doctor monitored and kept checking every few days until there was a complete recovery with perfect outcome. Good doctors dont just do the best, they also support you through recovery. We felt well taken care of.Another amazing thing. Every time we go there, we see someone we know. Apparently others know to pick a good medical practice!

I had LASIK here. The procedure went great, my vision is now perfect. The doctors are friendly & most staff are nice. However, every appointment I’ve had has been a long wait. Today I waited over an hour for a postoperative appointment that lasted 30 seconds with the provider. There was no apology for the wait from the assistant or provider. Nor did anyone give me heads up they were running late. I had another appointment I was running late for so after the doctor left I asked the assistant if I could go-she told me no, she had to finish “charting.” She then told me I had to checkout-so I had to wait another 10 minutes while there was only 1 checkout person and a line for her to tell me I was set-which I knew because it was a postoperative appointment. For the price I paid for LASIK ($5000), I expect better service & common courtesy. There are several competent providers in the area that offer this service, so at this point I wouldn’t recommend this provider.

This is the first time in six decades that I have seen an assistant, then an optometrist and then an ophthalmologist, all during a new patient appointment.This is an easy review to do: Collins Vision has exceptional people operating state of the art equipment in a very professional and congenial manner while practicing in an office that is large, comfortable and, appropriately, socially distanced.

We have had the best of experience with Dr. Collins and all of his staff of professionals. We can truthfully say that this was a journey that ended successfully for both my husband and myself. With so many different Doctors that are available we asked several people for referrals and Dr. Collins was the Doctor that was recommended by several people that used his service. We are completely satisfied and all of our questions and concerns we addressed in laymans terms. Great service.

Staff is outstanding, process and practice for Eye Exam is dismal. First, I have been in many states and have worn glasses for half my adult life. Based on dozens of exams and my adapted expectation this review reflects my opinion of what an Eye Exam is supposed to be. For me an Optometrist has always performed every exam, they essentially are the ones looking into my eyes and dialing in the refraction for my eyeglass prescription.Collins is different, ophthalmology technicians, not an Optometrist perform almost all the test and examinations. In my case the Optometrist only came in after my eyes were dilated to perform a single exam and review the technician’s results. For me the Optometrist wanted to try the refraction again, which meant another visit, because of the dilation. Had she done the key examination parts herself, this would not have been an issue.Fortunately, high marks to the Optometrist, Nicole, who recognized my frustration with the exam. She gave me an option to return or wipe the slate clean, no exam results would be given and I could look elsewhere for a new annual exam. Very professional and greatly appreciated.To that I say do your research on the office you choose. The patient info page is great, but know what to expect in a new office. Also, if choosing based on a recommendation, be sure your expectations for a visit are the same as those providing insight to their patient experience.

Dr. Collins did both my husband’s and my cataract surgery last year. Went for a follow up and was comfortable with the social distancing in the waiting room, everyone was in masks, and the sterilizing of all machines between patients. The staff is efficient and pleasant!

Exam was great, but severely lacking in eye frame selections and brands. I prefer to get my eye exam and buy glasses in one location. This was disappointing upon discovering on my first visit.

Very good COVID precautions. Somewhat humorless staff. Fairly thorough exam but not complete since no testing was performed to assess my known double-vision, though I asked about it This was a first visit.

My wait was a little bit long, however everyone in the office was extremely nice and helpful!

I had cataract surgery in both eyes in June of 2020. I chose the more expensive lens, Pan Optix. I paid out of pocket $11,000. I was told very little about theses lens and looking back, I wish I had done more research. I was NOT told about the terrible halos and star bursts that nearly all Pan Optix patients get after lens replacement. Nor was I warned about dry eye problems after surgery. The halos and star bursts are so bad that I cannot drive at night and dont even want to be outside after dusk. All lights have huge starburst around them and it is awful. The only thing I have been told is that maybe the brain will adjust. It has been 7 months and they are still as bad as ever. The vision is much better and it is true I do not wear glasses anymore, HOWEVER, I am not sure I would have gone this route had I known about the nighttime problems. Dr. Collins spends LESS than a few minutes with each patient, which I find bothersome. I do believe he is a good doctor, as is his staff, but I am not satisfied with these lens and feel as if my life is altered because of the night vision problem. $11,000. and I cannot drive at night or even go for a night time walk without horrible halos and starbursts. Now that the Christmas lights are up I can tell you that even during the day every light has a starburst. This should have been discussed with me and I should have been fully informed that this might be the outcome. It was not.

I always enjoy my visits, they are very thorough and I feel the quality of service is exceptional.

After my first visit, I was told by Dr. Collins that I needed cataract surgery. Since I had no insurance coverage, I asked how much this would cost. I specifically discussed with Melissa that I would only proceed if she could tell me the total amount this would cost and I would not be billed for anything else after the surgery unless there were extenuating circumstances. I was given a number and I promptly paid the bill - after the surgery, I was billed for MUCH more - there were no circumstances to justify this additional billing. When I called the office to discuss this matter, I was treated very poorly. After spending thousands of dollars and multiple procedures, I again cannot see after having cataract surgery performed by Dr. Collins and several follow up procedures. I would rate this experience a ZERO if possible - do yourself the favor of choosing another provider!!!
