Walked in for my appointment, sat in chair they placed bib on me... go over price for today... BAM, some random extra charge from previous appointment almost a year ago is told I owe!!! I was so confused because I paid my balance after every appointment. They claim my insurance ended up not covering it!!! Are you kidding me?!? We even confirmed before I scheduled that appointment what was covered and what I would owe. Now a year later it’s being thrown at me! So I call insurance while still in chair, they claim they never received any request from dentist for coverage on that procedure!! Dentist claims they sent it twice but I now feel as if they’re liars and untrustworthy, trying to scam me in to paying more for them to pocket. I asked my insurance customer service rep to call them so they can discuss and clear up any confusion so I can possibly still get my filling done today. Then quickly realized no one was answering them when they were calling. I asked to be excused from the chair that I no longer wanted their service. I walked to the front and asked why they aren’t picking phone up. The lady said I placed them on hold I’ll get to them soon. What?!?! I’m literally here for a procedure trying to get this cleared up and you have no sense of urgency!!! That’s it I walked out and will NEVER GO BACK!!! Also FYI my carrier said that they do cover that cost that you tried to bill me! Trust me find yourself a good reliable HONEST dentist, this is not the place for me.

Pull up a chair this will be lengthy. We relocated to FL and this office was recommended by a friend and it took our delta dental insurance. Our last visit had been 3 mths ago in CT, and we went every 6 months. This appt was for my 18 yr old son who went solo to the appt since I was working. We informed office when appt was made that records could be obtained from prior dentist. We had presigned authorization at that office. My son did not remind them at the visit, they did not ask. They proceded to do a panarex and full bite wing films. My son said a group discussion was held about the xrays that did not include him, he was just told he had 5 cavities that needed filled. They did a dental probing, telling him he had 4s and 5s that had not been present 3 months ago. They then did a gingival scaling...deeper than a normal cleaning and painful. He was told he needed his wisdom teeth out and given a referal. They then sold him a 40 gm tube of MI paste plus with 0.20% flouride for $30. My son said the hygentist was nice, but seemed new to the job and Dr. Tabbita seemed disgruntled about his dental hygeine and exam results and just walked out in a huff. He was used to a much more communicative dental team.Since this was such a different result than we had from his family dentist 3 months ago, I had some severe reservations about this office and the recommendations. My son readily admits that his dental hygeine care could stand major improvements and frequency. If this exam had been at the normal 6 month time frame, I would not have questioned the results. But it had only been 3 months, had just had xrays and a new filling. We went for a 2nd opinion. The new xrays were sent digitally to me, I forwarded them to both old and new dentist. Wisdom teeth removal need confirmed x 2. Both dentists shocked at gingival scaling, June #s were 1, 2 and 3s as were the redo check. It was documented on re- eval that he had normal gingival tissues w/o disease. A normal cleaning would have sufficed. The bite wings were blurry and required another set, and multiple cavities confirmed, but some could be watched instead of filled and he was given 1.1% flouride paste. This was 113 gm tube for $15.I returned to Prestige to get answers. I am in health care, and tend to ask reasonable questions in a normal tone. I spoke with the blonde receptionist/ office manager. She quickly became loud and defensive of her office. She said Dr Tabbita wouldnt have acted the way she did, implying my son was a liar. She said it was my sons fault they did not get old records when she learned he had xrays 3 months ago. He should have spoken up, but he is inexperienced and they did not ask. She replied full xrays and free panarex are required on first visit for Dr Tabbita to legally examine a client. She said every hygentist technique is different so numbers on probing vary implying there is no industry standard in measurements. She said his hygentist was aggressive in measurements and was appropriate, implying my sons prior and 2nd opinion hygentists were incompetent by being too gentle. Despite the toothpaste tube being sealed and unopened, they could not take it back and he could still use it. If we are trying to avoid extra fillings, why would we use a weaker flouride prescription? Why didnt they sell him the stronger prescription? There was no empathy, no apologies offered, no attempt at customer service recovery. She happily cancelled our upcoming visits and we left. Our friend is reconsidering their office for care as well. It is all about perceptions in communication. If the manager had not been so abrassive in her manner, this would have just been a life lesson taught and learned for my son. Instead, I left a review as well.

I’ve been coming here for almost 2 years now and let me tell you I love it. Not to sound cliche but they really treat you to a personal level like family. They stop and listen to anything and everything and I love that because ever since I was little I have been terrified of the dentist but here they are amazing. :)

My gut tells me that the couple of negative reviews here are likely from the competition because they do not depict what my experience has been there.Dr. Tabitha and her staff are very professional. Most importantly she is a very caring individual and I experienced that recently when getting TWO crowns on the same day to repair damage my teeth sustained decades ago.Now my smile looks better that when I was younger and I owe it to her and her girls :)

This place is a joke. Built on a bunch of lies when I had asked to speak to the manager. The staff is rude especially the older lady that greets people at the door. Also wanted to charge me $50 for rescheduling my appointment.Terrible customer service. Do NOT recommend.

If I could give this dental office a rating of 100 stars I would. Dr. Monica Tabbita helped me more today than I could ever express, she is one of the most amazing, kind and patient people I have ever met in my life. She has been a family dentist for my grandparents for years and now I will continue to go to her for any dental needs I ever have. Her staff is extremely friendly and patient as well because frankly I am kinda a baby when it comes to the dentist, but they made me feel so comfortable and at peace of mind during the procedure. She knew my financial situation was.. difficult to say the least and she did everything in her power to work with me and it helped me so much, even saved me a tooth. That kind of gratitude does not come very often and I appreciate it more than I could ever put into words. Thank you so much Dr. Tabbita, I will continue to come to you and recommend you to anyone I can. If you have any dental needs at all I highly recommend Prestige Dental and Laser Care to anyone. They will make you feel like family and at home and take care of any pain or discomfort you may have, I will be back along with anyone I can recommend to you!

Unethical fraudulent rude. Tell you one price then charge another. My wifes crown just fell off for the second time in year. They refused to replace it for free. We paid twice. No professional integrity. Do yourself a favor and help put these slimeballs out of business.

Unethical & unprofessional.I went to this office 3 times over the past 18 mos for routine exams/x-rays/cleanings. My previous dentist stopped taking my insurance, so I tried Dr. Tabbita. I’ve had progressively worse experiences each time. I work in health care & understand billing & insurance. There’s a lot of fancy equipment in this office. I know how that gets paid for. Visit 1 I suddenly need 4 cavities filled that same day when I’ve never had a cavity in my life & didn’t have any areas even on “watch” from my previous dentist that I saw just 6 months prior & had been seeing for 3 years. Whatever, it can happen. I trusted Dr. Tabbita & had those filled. Visit 2 I see a temporary fill-in hygienist. There are ALWAYS temps at this office. Difficulty keeping employees perhaps? It’s important to me to have continuity with a hygienist as you spend more time with them than the dentist. They’re ALWAYS trying to get you to do additional imaging & procedures that aren’t covered by insurance. I understand presenting those options at the yearly exam & allowing the patient to pick & choose what they want to pay for, but at the 6 month cleaning? The more I pay out of pocket, the easier it is to pay off all that fancy equipment. Annoyed & frustrated at the pressure & length of time it took to decline all of this, I proceeded with the cleaning with the temp. Visit 3 is 3 months after the “onset” of the COVID-19 pandemic. I see another different temp fill-in hygienist. She attempts to get me to agree to additional imaging & procedures that aren’t covered by my insurance, again. Every single time with this practice. My choice to accept or not, so I decline again. Then right before we start the cleaning, I’m informed there’s a $20 fee per patient to cover the increased cost of PPE (personal protective equipment) for the office. Are you serious? Profiting off a pandemic - the epitome of unethical. When I questioned the ethics of this, the hygienist let me know she was “just a temp.” She did a great cleaning. Dr. Tabbita refused to do my exam since I declined the x-rays that weren’t covered by my insurance plan (which does cover cleaning every 6 months, an exam once a year, and a different type of xrays every 3 years). When I went to check out, I declined to schedule a 6 month appt & asked to have my previous xrays sent to me so I could provide them to my new dentist as I wouldn’t be coming back. I very calmly explained my opinion - it’s extremely unethical to charge patients $20 for PEE, to profit off a pandemic, and to not inform the patient of this until you’re in the chair with your bib & glasses on ready to start. The receptionist gave me some line about the charge being recommended by the American Dental Association & that her nail salon was also charging. Recommended by the ADA to help recoup some of your lost profit when you had to close for a few months due to COVID-19? It’s a tough year. All of our businesses are suffering. If it was maybe a $5 charge, ok. But $20? I calmly told the checkout receptionist that I still felt this was unethical, that this was my 3rd visit to this office & every visit, I was pressured to do more & pay more, so I didn’t feel this office aligned with my health care ethics. I asked if there were always temp hygienists here as I’d always had one, & continuity with the same hygienist was important to me. She looked back through my previous visits in an attempt to argue that, saw that I was correct, & then told me it was difficult to find hygienists given the pandemic. Ok, but the other visits? At this point, the receptionist working check-in, who was sitting behind the check-out receptionist I was speaking to & had apparently listening in, waves her hand behind her head to dismiss me & everything I was saying. The “get out of here” hand wave. I wasn’t being loud or causing a scene, just voicing my opinion & explaining why I wasn’t coming back. If any employee at MY practice did that to patient, they’d be fired. 3 strikes & you’re out with this unethical practice with unprofessional receptionists.

Worst experience of my life with a doctors office. I missed a day of work for them to come and tell me that they canceled my appointment because they couldnt confirm my appointment. Ive never seen such an unprofessional issue in my life. I will most certainly not be coming back to this office at all. Horrible customer service if there was a zero star it wouldnt be enough to Express how horrible this experience has been.

This place all they want is money. They were not professional. I had an appointment for check up and cleaning they took so long with the check up joking around etc.. That i was told that we wouldnt have enough time to clean my teeth. I work full time have to take off of work which Was no concern for them. They Pack bookings. After I complained that you should give me enough time for the services of the appointment. I got like a ten minute cleaning.. I really never experienced this before at a dentist office..

Staff is excellent and make you feel very welcomed. Doctor Tabbita is wonderful and kind make you feel comfortable what she does. I finally found my regular dentist me and my husband. Also, front desk staff is very knowledgeable and friendly. My hygienist Raquel did really great job for my deep cleaning. I highly recommend Dr. Tabbita.

Absolutely great. As a new patient I expected a long wait, I arrived 15 minutes early to fill out paper work and they had me in as soon as I was done with paperwork. Great cleaning, everyone is so very nice.

I hate to give this place 1 start because she is a fantastic dentist and Ive seen her for 5 years, but her office staff is RUDE. When they called to confirm my appointment they hadnt added that I need more time for a filling which was recorded from my last appointment, but instead told me I only had a cleaning and I needed 2 fillings (which was not on the paperwork they had given me)!!! Then they tried to have me reschedule for 6 months from now, but I told them I had to find a new dentist. Recommendation: double check before you leave that place to make sure you get what you need at your next appointment.

Dr. Monica Tabbita and her staff have provided our family with excellent, professional dental care for many years. I don’t normally take time to write reviews, but I choose to this time because of the surpassing dental care my daughter recently received. When she was younger, she fractured her front tooth which had to be bonded. At her last routine dental appointment, she expressed to Dr. Tabbita how she avoids smiling because she is embarrassed by the appearance of her front tooth and how it has affected her self-esteem. Dr. Tabbita recommended a crown for it. Fearing it wouldn’t look natural, my daughter was scared to get one on her front tooth. Listening to and understanding my daughters concerns, Dr. Tabbita went above and beyond in her services to ensure that she provided my daughter with a natural aesthetically pleasing crown. I am grateful for the time, care, and concern that this doctor and her staff took to provide my daughter with a beautiful, natural looking smile! My daughter is finally smiling again because of Dr. Tabbita’s invested interest in her patients.

Dr Tabbita is great. I went to see Dr Tabbita and she found out the exact tooth that the pain was coming from, as I had thought it was coming from the tooth next to it. I was wrong!!! She did a small procedure on my tooth that day and referred me to a specialist for a root canal. I slept like a baby without any pain until I was able to get an appointment with the specialist she referred me to. She is kind and professional and my preferred dentist to go to for cleaning, issues, etc. If your considering going to this office for any dental work you will not be disappointed.

Not sure why the bad reviews, I received a crown and a cleaning from this place and had a great experience. They gave me a same day appointment, treated me like family, and were professional during all my visits. I was actually surprised of the staff professionalism, being that most healthcare businesses in fort Myers have deplorable customer service.

Unethical business practices and sub-par work done at this facility. This facility also broke Florida state statute multiple times. Avoid at all costs, especially if you are looking for a practice that will treat you with respect and also most importantly be honest and ethical.
