I furthered and completed my education at City College. I achieved my Associates Degree in Paralegal / Legal Assisting in 2017 and took a year off and now I am one Semester away from achieving my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration with a focus in Project Management!I have been able to utilize every resource offered by City College. First off it’s like a place of refuge where I not only go to learn but get away from life. The Professors are always willing to give freely of their time to assist in achieving my goals.Career Services door is always opened, it’s through their highly recommended services that I obtained my current job as a Trial Specialist II. Furthermore, when I was seeking a promotion I went back for a mock interview and help with updating my resume, they are always ready, will, and, able to help.Financial aid stays on top of budgeting out the money to make it all possible. My peers are in bearable age range, not too young, and not too old. We as a student body in my classes worked to achieve our same achievements. I have made some people here at City College that will remain my friends forever. My last and final goal would be to become an Ambassador but seems a little more challenging for students in the evening class program. I have been trying to be an Ambassador during my Associates years but to no avail. I will keep trying!Go for it, give it your all, City College is the way to go!!!

I wanted to be a private investigator but once my friend told me about the healthcare programs here I quickly switched my focus. I never thought I could do something so complex until I spoke to the admissions counselors and teachers here at this college. My motivation and self confidence is through the roof right now and I am so excited.

I have been here since April 2019 and I have to say I have 2 favorite teachers. I am in the surgical tech program. One of my favorite teachers is Dr. Reyes. He made our medical terminology class fun and easy to learn. The other teacher would be ms Yahaira. She makes class a great learning experience. She makes sure we know the information.

I love this place. Home away from home is what I use to call it. I got my AS degree in Broadcasting and I got my BS in Business Administration. I put in six long hard yours to graduate. I did it almost at the top of my class ten years ago. I was an Ambassador Student. I had the best time of my life at City College when it was on Cypress Creek Rd. The college even gave me a job in the library as an assistant, while I was still getting my degree to help me out on some bills I had extra. Every Professor was the best. I learned so much it will take me a day to talk about five percent of my experiences. I highly recommended this College to all my friends and family. If you are reading this post stop by campus. You can’t go wrong with the right choice, and tell them “Big Jay” sent you...

My experience here at City College was more than I had expected. The classrooms are decent-to-small sizes, making it easier for each student to be recognized.Im in the medical assisting program and despite the amount of information given, professors make learning interesting and hands on which makes me enjoy the program. The professors and staff all care about the success of the student body and seeing all of us walk the stage on graduation day. 👩‍🎓👨‍🎓

I entered City College not knowing what to expect. So today I can tell you I high recommend. City College a very humble environment. It makes you feel at home. I come from a very culturally diverse background and I feel like City College understands that. The faculty and admin staff were very committed to the success of each cohort and were very helpful each step of the way. There are so many interesting courses taught by amazing and qualified professors. The professors for the classes I have taken thus far have been pretty great overall with a thorough understanding of their subject and concern for students success.Medical Assistant program is awesome. It is perfectly well conceived and easy to follow. As a good student you just need to follow the guide and your professors advises. I consider I have learned a lot and improved my whole knowledge, not only about medical field but in general. The program is full of real-life scenarios that we discuss constantly with classmates and the professor. I really enjoy being a student at City College

Attending City College has been the best decision of my life. The experience that Ive had with my professors have been amazing. Ive been able to make strong relationship with not only my professors, but with the entire financial aid staff and career services. This school offers a variety of educational programs that allows one to enhance on their education. Being a mother of two, a wife, and a employee I knew that I had to chose a school that was serious and committed. I am extremely happy to have chosen City College. Like any other places struggles will always come up, but what makes this college different is that the entire staff is ALWAYS here to support there students. I have made several friends that to me are now considered family.

I love this school and everything about it. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The lab equipment is up to date and applicable to the real working environment. The education, although challenging (in the best way of course), is top of the line. The students all care for each other, push each other and want their peers to succeed. The admissions staff, financial aid staff, and directors all truly care about the students education, well being, and happiness. Because of this fact, City College is more than a school.. its a family.

I wish I could give this place -100 stars, thats how terrible my experience was in the nursing program, which was really just a money making scam!!! I left there in 2012, after being a straight A/B student in all of my classes, myself and multiple of my classmates final grades were changed by Carmel White. Due to the continuous revolving door of Administration and teaching staff, she was sitting in as head of the program, instructor -who was totally incapable of teaching a class and also ran the program at the Miami campus. To make a long story short, she changed the passing grade for our exit exam after we already took it, raising our passing grade higher than that of the other campuses due to low admission census for the following semester(as we were told directly from admission/nursing office staff). She insisted we repeat Leadership, which was the most expensive portion of the program and changed all of our grades to Cs when we refused to do so.Ultimately, we left and were accepted at a different school, only because an ex instructor from City college was now working at that school and explained the fraud that was talking place there to the CEO on our behalf. We had to pay out of pocket, but successfully completed the program and Ive now been an RN for almost 5 years.Im extremely upset that Im being held responsible for student loans obtained thru City college, which should have been null and void after they broke their contract with their students by way of their fraudulent behavior!!! Im a single Mother, putting a child through college out of pocket, another in middle school with sports and other weekly fees, plus normal responsibilities of mortgage, groceries, car insurance, electricity, water...etc and have had my tax returns withheld every year because of this fraudulent place!!!The fact that there is no longer a nursing program speaks for itself. Everyone whos had similar experiences to mine, needs to speak up and hold them accountable. They already made their money off innocent students, therefore they should repay the student loans!!

My friend is enrolled in the Private Investigation/ Criminal Justice program. It is the only accredited program in the country . She says that the Professors at the College are very knowledgeable ,friendly and encourages lively participation by all students ,even allowing for liberal potty and smoke breaks. With one exception, her English teacher is a bit of a stuffed shirt, young, preppy, know-it-all-type Professor ( you all know the type). The kind that you can t stand to hear droning on ,in class, about things you already know, but still a good teacher for her openness to help and encouragement for you to excel and be the best that you can be.Well, my review was slightly towards the emotional, but I hope that it added to my positive review of this outstanding south Florida learning institution: City College of Fort Lauderdale, 2000 W. Commercial Blvd. Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. 33309.Yours Truly ,Ray Gilbert Johns.

If I could give this school 0 stars I would. This school is a joke. No one is on the same page when it comes to anything. They do not reach out to the students when there is an issue. The student only finds out when it is almost too late. If it wasnt for the fact that I am almost done with the program and Dr. Luka (One of the best things going for City College) I would have quit a long time ago. I am taking classes that does not make sense to me. The financial aid department is a joke. You speak to three different people and get three different answers. I hate coming to this school, but I am too far ahead. So many professors have come and gone. You are marked absent if you leave class early although they dont start on time due to the fact that you are waiting on students that arrive late. I am counting down the days until this is all over as I have had just about enough of this school. Everyone is so warm welcoming in the beginning but once you sign up and they meet there quota for attendance and seat filling, you are nothing to them. Take my advice and do your research before enrolling in any school especially City College.

I attended this school studying to be a private investigator in the year of 2010, and during Spanish class with the teacher who was of Puerto Rican descent whom wore glasses, I was viciously threatened and nearly attacked by a group of barbaric Haitian girls whom were in the class sitting behind me.They were easily annoyed and offended by the fact that I speak Spanish very well; they were probably kinda jealous too. A teacher from next door heard these obnoxious Haitian girls yelling and cussing at me like wild animals, and they began knocking on the door to check the situation, then quickly called security. The (Puerto Rican) teacher had to actually end the class early and I left in a truck with a classmate to get me away from what seemed like a dangerous situation, as the young Haitian girls seemed to almost follow me and wait for me outside of the classroom by the parking lot as I waited for my classmate/friend to start his truck.I was afraid to come back to this school ever again after this incident, and I immediately dropped all of my classes. I like this school but dont feel safe here after what happened to me here at this City College. I felt very threatened and unsafe here when this happened to me.

City College is the best school that you will find in the area of fort lauderdale. The staff are very caring and will go an extra step to make sure there is nothing hindering you from pursuing your career. The professors work with you and understand every one has a situation and will work with you to submit missing or late assignments. I been to many different colleges but I have never been to a school that will help me finish. I could have already given up because of all the obstacles I am facing in life but my department of chair Dr Luka has really been pushing me and h giving me words of encouragement. Now Im in my last semester. Thank you much city college and Dr Luka
