Dr. Doug Beard treated me 20 years ago for a rear end accident injury to my back. He gave me injections and I was pain free until this year. I saw him on Dec. 9, 2019 and he said I needed surgery. He was very thorough and provided me lots of good information. He has great bedside manner and really listens well. His staff is amazing as well. I had surgery on Dec. 16, 2019 and I feel amazing. I can walk with no pain. I had a bulging disc pressing on my left leg with extreme pain and now I am walking perfectly. I highly recommend Dr. Beard! He is 5 star and so is his staff. Dr. Beard thank you for helping me to walk normally again and to be pain free. Your the best!

My husband had a fusion done less than 2 weeks ago. Im amazed at how well hes doing already. Dr. Beard was great. He answered all our questions throughout the whole process, made us feel comfortable and never made us feel rushed or like just another number. I highly recommend him if youre in need. Dr. Beard was my orthopedic surgeon while I served in the Army. He did operate on my right knee at Lemoore NAS.I came out of the surgery in superb condition (comparing it to previous surgery on my left knee by another physician).I experienced little pain compared to prior surgery and was up and about in very short order.Prior to, and after surgery, I felt Dr. Beard was a very attentive physician, listening to what I had to say, listening for what I was experiencing with the knee, and developing a surgical and recovery plan for me.I was very comfortable with Dr.Beard as a physician, his skill as a surgeon, and patient oriented for my best concerns. I was disheartened to learn he was leaving active duty service to enter into private practice.If I need knee surgery (or other orthopedic surgery of Dr. Beards skill set), I would not hesitate to have him as my surgeon.It poses a problem considering I live in another state. However, I highly recommend Dr. Beard if you have any orthopedic issue of his specialty. I believe youll be happy with your choice, as I was. Ive had many orthopedic surgeons and Dr. Beard is tops among those Ive had.

Was told that going from the front to do a fusion would have less recovery time than if they made the UMass iin was told had a one percentage nt chance of retro grade ejection. Dr beard made sure ibwould be a one percentage

I experienced chronic lower back pain since i was 21. I am now almost 30. I went through as much alternative treatment as one could possibly due such as Dr visits with 5-6 different nuerosurgeons, approx 12 steroid injections, a medial branch block injection, everyday usage of narcotic pain killers, muscle relaxers and anti inflamtory medicine, 2 Epsom salt baths a day, 2 rounds of physical therapy at 2 different locations, 2 different chiropractors, I used my own tens unit atleast 4-5x a week, 2x a day, I tried Cryotherapy several times and i iced my back atleast 3x a day for 20-30mins. During all of this i tried to maintain my physical fitness atleast 5-6days a week from cardio and weightlifting with a belt. It has been the roughest several yrs of my life. Ive had to miss more work in last couple yrs than in my whole life. I found Dr Turner and Beard when i first had back problems in 2011 living in western NE. I came back to them in Jan of 2018 when my wife, daughter and i were visiting family for our late Christmas time since we now reside in central MS. Anyway, Dr Beard took me in as better than any other Dr Ive ever seen or been too. Hes been absolutely 5 star and amazing. He not only explained to a T what was wrong but also reached out and helped me any way he could. I cant explain the help and passion Front Range Brain and Spine employees were and the Drs I saw. Dr Beard performed an L5S1 Anterior Arthroplasty Disc Replacement on March 20th, 2018 at Poudre Valley Hospital in Fort Collins, CO. The staff at the hospital was also 2nd to none, im talking extremely knowledgeable, helpful and caring. Not to mention the food was also great and very healthy for a hospital. Its now day 17 post op and Im walking several miles a day and not using any pain killers during the day and 1 before bed to help me sleep better as when I wake, Im usually really stiff and sore which is to be found usual. Im VERY happy and satisfied of the outcome so far and although Ill have a roller coaster ride of off and on pain the next few months, I know in long run, Lord willing, it shall benefit me greatly. So...THANK YOU Dr. Beard for your help and passion in this medical field. You are an amazing spine surgeon and someone I shall talk greatly about my entire life to anybody with back problems.
