Ben had a knack for knowing what we needed even when we didnt know ourselves. We are grateful for the time we were able to spend with him. His guidance was targeted and valuable.

I have been working with Ben for about five months now and Im never without deep gratitude for the work we accomplish. He is compassionate and gentle, a well of knowledge and understanding. Ben does his absolute best to meet me in my goals and experiences, while guiding me through new techniques and meditations (my favorite) to manage the moments. Being in his care is a great gemstone in my life.

My partner and I have been seeing Ben for about a year now. Not only does Ben have our goals as a couple in mind, he also invests in each of us individually. Ben is quick to adapt in a variety of situations. He accepts feedback and implements it immediately to meet our needs. Our relationship has flourished immensely thanks to the hard work that we have all put in, but specifically Ben for guiding and supporting us through the ever-changing flow of life. He is personable, caring, and diligent, and we are so lucky to have found him.

Ben has been an enormous help to me. I’ve seen other therapists in the past but none of them have been as engaging or compassionate as Ben. He’s given me hands-on tools that I’ve never gotten anywhere else that have made a difference that I can see happening in front of me, in addition to the thoughtful conversations that seem to be the standard practice for other therapists. Ben goes above and beyond and I would highly recommend him to anyone searching for help.

Im very much convinced that Ben has saved my marriage, my life and my husbands. He has taken the time to really get to know us We have been with him for a year. He doesnt pick sides. He truly is there for the couple, as well as the individuals. He is open minded and presents multiple styles of therapy. We can be open with him without feeling judged. If we arent comfortable with a specific approach, we are more than welcome to state that. He does not pressure you into an approach that doesnt work for you. He gently pulls out the best in you and makes you the best you can be. I could not recommend him enough. If you need an amazing and caring therapist, Ben is your guy!

I have been meeting with Ben Lotstein from North Star Therapy to help increase my own mindfulness and to guide me to help align my actions and behavior with my values. I highly recommend anyone seeking similar ideals to give them a chance. Meeting with Ben at North Star Therapy has significantly improved my state of mind. This has helped me grow my own insight to be more thoughtful and less reactive in my professional and personal life.

There are truly not words for the amazing experience that I have had while in therapy with Ben. Over the last year and a half, I have been able to tackle addiction, heal from a divorce, and learn to process grief and the traumatic and sudden loss of both of my parents. While life has definitely been hard, therapy with Ben has made it possible to survive and continue to work on myself and grow emotionally.

To whom it may concerns:My experience in working with Ben Lotstein over the past nine months has (and is) extremely helpful to me. First, Ben is an extremely good listener and this is super important to me. Especially with the pandemic “getting in the way” of face-to-face therapy our transition to video sessions needed to be smooth—and they have been. I feel HEARD.Next, Ben’s knowledge of the IFS (Internal Family Systems) Model has been more helpful than any other therapy I have experienced. Not only does Ben use his skills in this area to help me “dig deep”, but he has a way of gently encouraging me to go even deeper. HIs questioning skills and guidance during our sessions has revealed many insights. I am then able to apply lthis new knowledge to greatly improve my life.Ben also carefully monitors our sessions so that I can truly “let go” and do my work.He also takes good notes and I can tell this because he circles back to prior sessions to inform and clarify what work we have done prior to the currant session. His sensitivity to what next steps may be helpful also allows me to really “get into” my work. But even more important he allows me to guide myself where I need to go. So this combination of “mutual guidance” as it were is extremely helpful to me.I also appreciate Ben’s ability to make a suggestion at the end of the session; for example, to “be extra kind to myself” after a particularly challenging session.Ben thoughtfully answers my questions (like when I have questions about the process) and suggests videos I can watch for greater understanding. All in all, I have to say, even though on a limited budget (I”m a retired teacher and head of household) I am well-rewarded for each dollar I spend on my sessions with Ben Lowstein! I am grateful!
