My wife needed an inhailer as she was having a hard time breathing with a bad respiratory infection she has, according to the doctor, and they said they would call it in and even confirmed the pharmacy at king Sooners. Then they sent it to a express scripts which is through the mail, which would take days. This was in Friday of Labor Day weekend. Attention to detail at this location on bighorn street is not good. Would not recommend their services.

I dont go to the Doctor very often but when I need to see one Associates in Family Medicine always get me in within a couple of days. The service is fantastic at this practice. I literally had blood drawn and within a few hours I had all of my test results back. I love using the app to communicate and I always get a timely response. I highly recommend this practice.

I’ve been a patient with AFM for 18 years. I’ve seen a number of doctors at a number of locations, and overall I’d say I’ve been mostly pleased with my care in the big picture. But unfortunately the last two or three years I’ve seen a huge shift for the negative. I’d seen Dr. Klingner as my PCP for almost two decades. She delivered both of my babies and I had nothing but glowing reviews for her until about 2016 when things drastically began to change. It seemed as though she’d taken on far too many new patients and the quality of my care began to slip substantially over time. Getting in for an appointment went from a few weeks wait to literally months out. And I was beginning to feel very disregarded about our medical needs being met. It all became incredibly rushed and we were in and out of the exam room in 10 minutes or less. We’d wait MONTHS to be seen just to be rushed through an appointment and leave feeling like we hadn’t even been seen at all. It left me feeling really disappointed and entirely unheard. After a good length of time having some pretty severe symptoms ignored I was forced to BEG for a referral to a specialist. And I just didn’t feel like I could trust her as my PCP anymore after that. Here’s were NP Hannah Romano comes in and saves the day! I saw her one single time and she gave me the referral I so desperately needed. She scheduled check up appointments on the spot and has continually provided me better quality care than I’d been getting for quite some time. I felt so much relief when she gave me such incredible individualized attention and made a treatment plan to help me. It reminded me of the care I used to get. I am so grateful for her and her attentive listening, thorough knowledge, and quality service. She quickly became our new PCP and has re-instilled my confidence in this office. She is definitely the reason we didn’t leave this practice to go somewhere else. If you’re looking for a new doctor I’d recommend interviewing whoever you choose to ask about their long term scheduling availability to ensure they have time to truly attend to your needs. Or ask to be seen by Hannah, you most definitely won’t regret it!

AFM-Timberline office provides excellent care. Both my mom and I have doctors at this practice and they each go above and beyond. The staff is friendly and helpful and I feel like my doctor genuinely cares about me and my wellbeing. I highly recommend this practice.

I moved to Fort Collins late summer of 2018 and had to find a new primary care provider. After a few unsuccessful attempts to find a doctor who is in my health insurance network and was accepting new patients, I was advised to contact AFM. I am very happy I did. All staff have been professional and kind during all my visits. My primary care provider truly listens to me and I can tell she cares and has passion for helping others live more fully. I also like the relatively small size of the Timberline office and that they do blood draws and vaccines right there (which I had to barely wait for after visiting with my primary).

I have been seeing Dr. Blackler since September 2019 and he is an exceptional PCP. I would recommend him to anybody. He is both very thorough and grounded, and also thinks outside the box. I am a complex patient, and I always leave feeling supported and that he cares about my health and about me living my fullest life. My experience with the staff has also been very good, very well organized, great communication, and friendly.

From the front desk staff (Amy, Katie, and Meghan) to the amazing physicians (Dr. Siple, Dr. Klinger and Dr. Henderson) and wonderful MA (Joanna) this office is phenomenal. I transferred to this office mid pregnancy with my first little one and I am so glad I did. Dr. Siple saw me throughout the remainder of my pregnancy and delivered my daughter. As a first time mom she provided me with comfort, reassurance, and most importantly listened to any and all concerns or questions I had. During my delivery she was calm, created a positive atmosphere, and didn’t make me feel rushed and allowed my body to do what it was meant to! She is a wonderful physician and I highly recommend her to any and everyone! I’d also like to mention Joanna. At every visit I was greeted by her warm friendly smile and positive attitude. All my questions I have ever had or messages I have left have been answered in a timely manner (and I have a lot being a first time mom!) She is amazing at what she does and cares and it shows! I can’t thank you all enough for making this moment in my life so memorable and special.

I have been a patient here for about 12 years but have decided to move to another practice. I called today to book an appointment for my yearly exam and was told my doctor was booking out to 2020. Are you kidding me? I just changed last year to this physician because my previous physician had an even longer wait to get in for a yearly exam. Then when I did have an appointment, I was called and told she was out delivering a baby and I would have re-schedule. I believe this practice is very poorly managed. I also had to call them a month ago because they kept sending me a bill for services my insurance had already reimbursed them for. So, I had to spend time calling my insurance company to get a check number to prove they had been paid. Im just done with AFM.

Dr. Tippen was a extremely knowledgeable and caring primary care physician whom I was a patient of for 10 plus years of my life. He always took care of my needs as a patient, as well as the needs of my family. Unfortunately, I missed an appointment and was kicked out of the clinic immediately, with little to no explanation shortly thereafter. That was 5 years ago and they still wont let me come back, even though my father is still a patient there and has been for at least 15 years. I find it very disheartening that they have the audacity to promote/advertise the word Family in their name.

I have received good medical care, but will no longer use this practice due to billing problems.I had a visit for my yearly physical and specifically requested that we only discuss things covered by the physical. At the end of the visit the doctor said he had done so, yet I have been billed for an office visit and the billing department will not reverse it****Update****I emailed my doctor and he got the billing issue resolve. So frustrating, but good to see that someone cared and got things taken care of

I’ve never come into contact with a doctor’s office like this one before. The communication is off the charts terrible...I called to make an apt for a rx refill... and I asked to make SURE that was OK with the Dr. before coming in.... (because I don’t go to the drs office for fun on my days off) she said it was OK, so I make an apt on my day off. Go in for my apt, and the first thing the Doctor says to me is, “To be honest, I don’t know WHY you’re here” i replied, your staff told me it was ok to come in for a rx refill.... that is WHY... then he said NO I WILL NOT....I already told you, and I would be surprised if any of my staff said it was OK.... That’s on you ...... (OK ?!?!?) Wow, i’m not impressed. This guys “philosophy” is all backwards. I said, so my rx is up soon, and your just going to let me suffer because you don’t feel“comfortable” refilling my rx which I’ve had for literally 15 years.... he said, “Yep” and then tried to tell me I will be fine without it. Poor decision on his part. I walked out. I’ve never been treated so poorly and with zero respect by a doctor in my life. What a joke and what a waste of my time. Despite seeing my records of my medication being prescribed for the last 9-10 years, it was still not enough for this guy. I have no words. And apparaently records before this were lost in the flood by my pediatrician.Yeah- it’s definitely my ‘fault’ guy.... give me a break .... seriously what a joke.

Dr. Klingner is amazing. She delivered all 3 of my babies with no drugs or interventions of any kind. Unmedicated natural birth. (Although she made a point to tell me that all births are beautiful - with or without drugs. She doesnt judge mothers who choose or need different birthing approaches.) But she gave me exactly the kind of birthing experience I wanted - and 3 times! In labor, she doesnt rush you. She is very patient. She doesnt alarm you unnecessarily or intervene too early. She lets the body do what it does best!! She was exactly the kind of doctor I needed. I felt safe and informed. I trust her medical opinion and value having a like-minded doctor. My kids continue to be under her care. A one-stop-shop for all pregnancy, birthing, and pediatric needs.

My experience is much like many other reviewers here. WONDERFUL, caring doctors at AFM who go above and beyond to take care of their patients.Unfortunately, billing is another story. My family and I have been faithful patients for years, and paid thousands of dollars of bills on time.Apparently AFM stopped taking Tricare, but gave us no notice of that, so a few months of bills uncovered by insurance came to over $1K. I simply did not have that money because I was going through a divorce trial when I got the bills.I explained all of this to the very rude woman in billing, who then told me they had told me Tricare was no longer in network, yet refused to show me the letter they apparently sent about it. I explained my circumstances and told them that I wanted to work on a payment plan as soon as I possibly could, but that I was going through a divorce and literally did not have money for groceries at the time.A couple months later, I have my divorce settlement and wanted to work on a payment plan. I also needed to bring my daughter in for an ear infection. To my shock, I had been discontinued from the practice. I asked why I had received no letters or calls about this other than bills, and “Genie” said the letter they sent me said it wasn’t received.... exactly.I didn’t receive it. So you would think they’d have the decency and respect of a long-time patient/her family to make ONE call. Nope.I then told her I wanted to work on a payment plan, but I needed her to email or mail me a copy of all of my bills/visits so I know exactly what I am paying off. I could not believe that she blatantly lied and told me the clinic did not have access to that information. The drs office doesn’t have access to patient records?? I knew this was false, so I called her out on it. She quickly asked where to mail it after that. Hmmm. Then I asked to speak to whoever is above her, to which she said, “I don’t have a manager.” I said of course you have someone above you. She then said “you won’t be able to speak with anyone else.” I informed her that I will happily pay my bill once I am spoken to with respect and human decency, and shown what I am paying for. She then said I could call back tomorrow and speak to “Kim,” but would not give me her last name or contact info.I have never been spoken to so poorly by a professional. I asked her multiple times to speak to me with humanity, to which she said “I don’t know what time you’re talking about. It’s not my fault you couldn’t pay $20.” Sickening. I asked her to please mind her tone, to which she replied, “What tone? I’m only speaking this way to you because you need to pay your bill.” Yet again said she could not tell me the visits I’m paying for and I need to call the collection agency and ask THEM to request the info from AFM!!Clearly this clinic (or at least billing) does NOT have an ounce of respect for their patients, and absolutely zero tolerance for tough life situations. If you’re a single parent or going through a financial struggle and simply need to make arrangements for necessary medical care, do not go here unless you want to be spoken to as an absolute peasant. It was mortifying speaking to this office after it took a lot of courage (and money saved) to make the call to arrange payment. I am sorely disappointed and humiliated.Anyone can smile and work with the wealthy, but when a faithful customer is struggling and asking for an opportunity to make things right only to be treated with absolute disdain, it shows how much, rather, how little this “family” clinic cares.

This is an okay place for routine visits for adults. I had a good experience doing physical exams. But I would warn parents if you are considering taking your newborn babies there. I learned from my mistake for choosing a family medicine doctor in place of a pedi against better judgment. Probably because of lack of experience with preemies, a doc here referred me to a home nurse claiming that the oxygen weaning process would be difficult to be handled in her office. The referred nurse was absolutely horrible (saying illogical things that go against common wisdom) and did nothing for two weeks. She just wanted to keep coming back to max out my insurance preapproval. I reported the situation and the doc took over the process belatedly (it turned out to be super easy to take care of the process in her office and the referral was absolutely unnecessary). Then, the billing dept sent me a bill for co-pay for the well baby visit in which the doc referred that home nurse. I disputed the charge as well baby visits should be covered by my insurance 100%. Billing staff told me that their doc went beyond the scope of a well baby visit with that referral. I wrote a letter to their medical director who wrote off the copay charge but refused to admit that the referral was a mistake and made on the false premise. He further insisted that the additional charge is justified because of the time the doc spent to go over my babys NICU report. I transferred my babys care to a real pediatricians office and it is so much better. I received superior care with more expert information and their office did not charge me for copay although the pedi went over lengthier records (both NICU and AFM). I would not choose this practice for more specialized services such as prenatal care and pediatrics.
