UCHealth Poudre Valley Hospital is a great health care facility/ service providers. The hospital is well run and managed by professionals and is equipped to deliver community health and specialized services. It is interesting for me that the hospital has stations in its visitors car park for charging electric cars. They have good parking.Service is quick at Poudre Valley hospital as theres barely prolonged waiting.Staff members at the hospital are also very courteous and friendly. In the face of the COVID-19 pandemic, the hospital maintains the highest standard of hygiene and practice commendable prevention protocols

The reason for my coming into urgent care is private, of course. But through the nature of my condition I’m confident in honestly saying I trusted the doctors and nurses to carefully helping me back on my feet and get me out the door with a renewed sense of life. They really believe in their oath.Maybe that was a bit exaggerated wish-wash but that’s how I feel.

My brother in law Walter Valdez recently passed away and the nurses at PVH were fantastic. They were caring, kind, patient and made the transition from PVH to Hospice smooth and effortless. When Hospice took over his care they were truly like family. Thank you , all of you. You were all such a blessing. Your educating us to your hugs and words of encouragement were monumental. Can’t thank you enough. Thank you for all you do, you are all amazing.

First full day of my dads hospitalization, and we were impressed with several staff members. David Sanchez with environmental services was mopping when we arrived and carefully dried the floor without being asked to make sure it was safe for us. Kelly did an ultrasound and was very delightful and engaging. Robbie CNA was very responsive to my dads needs and helped him shower after receiving only one request for assistance. So far, PVH is 5 stars in our book!

Read about this hospital’s practice of falsely billing women for emergency services during childbirth on the October 2021 edition of NPR’s “Bill of the Month,” with the full title “ A hospital hiked the price of a routine childbirth by calling it an emergency.” Great example of what’s wrong with American healthcare.

As a patient with 4 chronic conditions, I have been here a lot for the past 7 years. I have always had the kindest nurses and staff. The outpatient infusion group is literally the best. They know me, my name and care about how I am. Oncology team is so gentle and kind. Surgery floor was quick and fast paced even though I was there forever. They were willing to let me do some things that made me more comfortable, but weren’t the rules. The ER IS MY LEAST FAVORITE. I have yet to have a good doc in there.... but overall, this place has and is still taking good care of me.

Hello, I would like to describe my incredibly traumatic experience with the psychiatric unit. I went into the emergency room experiencing some health issues. When doing my intake they asked me questions about my mood. I struggle with chronic illness and it was bad recently so naturally I would be a little low. I answered their questions and even though I was absolutely not suicidal they made the rash decision to detain me in the psychiatric ward. While there they tried to take away my person items. I naturally did not want this to happen and I resisted. They kept trying and I started to have an incredibly bad panic attack. They then forced my boyfriend out and did not allow my mother to come into my room until I took the medication that they gave me. THEY FORCED ME TO TAKE MEDS WITHOUT MY CO0NCENT WHILE BLACKMAILING ME THAT I WOULD NOT SEE MY LOVED ONES. Incredibly disgusting and I am genuinely concerning filing a law suit. My panic attack got so bad that I could not feel my body. THEY MADE ME TAKE MEDS WITHOUT TELLING ME WHAT IT WAS AND USING THE WITHHOLDING OF MY FAMILY TO FORCE ME TO TAKE IT. I WAS SO SCARED SO THEY THREATEND TIO RESTRAIN ME. I was eventually released. This was over a year ago but I STILL HAVE NIGHTMARES AND PANIC ATTACKS TO THIS DAY. THIS WAS SICK AND WRONG AND SOMEONE NEEDS TO LOSE THEIR JOB. WORST WORST WORST MEDICAL CENTER I HAVE BEEN TO IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. This event was so traumatic and wrong. I wish I could give zero stars on this review about this facility. OH AND I READ MY VISIT SUMMARY ON MY HEALTH CONNECTIONS AND THEY LIED ABOUT 90% of the visit. SICK, GROSS, WRONG, DEMENTED.

I have had 2 surgeries here, and the care is beyond anything Ive ever gotten anywhere in my life.I mean EVERY EMPLOYEE that works here from triage at the ER to the cleaning staff as well. This should be Americas example of how people should be treated. To the night staff. You need to go in teams to rooms at night instead of individually. Its not 4 hours when youre all doing DIFFERENT 4 hours. Go as a team, do all the things that need to be done and leave us alone. Literally was MORE visits all night than in the day hours. If we cant sleep, we cant heal. Learn a way to give us rest at night.A special shout out to Orthopedics unit. You ALL ROCK!!!!!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR LIVING IN LOVE AND showing that love in your care.

The level of incompetence from the financial department at this hospital in the worst I have ever experienced. They re-billed our insurance company for no reason and didnt code things appropriately the second time. Hospital bill magically doubled even though the one visit/hospital stay was over 8 months ago. Tried to apply for financial assistance back in September and no one would return my call to let me know they even received documents. Finally someone reached out in December and asked for all of the documents again. After submitting all of them again (pay stubs, bank statements, tax returns, etc), we were told, oh never mind, its too late, your time ran out to apply. Im not sure why they have a financial assistance program if they have no interest in actually helping people. Bankruptcy for this hospital bill in our final option and we have insurance. Also, the amount of spelling and grammatical errors that were included in every email, leads me to believe that they dont take helping people very seriously.

I had been feeling sick with pressure in my chest and head along with pain in my upper back. I was also having trouble with my blood pressure being high and my heart racing; Thursday night I was running errands with my Husband when I started feeling dizzy and struggling with confusion getting worried enough to overcome my fear of Covid my Husband and I decided to go to the emergency room at Poudre Valley by the time we arrived I was in really bad shape my blood pressure top number was over 200 my heart rate was really high and they told us my white blood count was high as well at this point my confusion had worsened and I truly dont remember a lot of what was going on just fear a ton of pressure in my head and my chest hurting my Husband said they ran a bunch of test including EKG and scans both with and without dye and couldnt find what was causing what they called a critical hypertension event. They ran a ton of blood test including tests for sepsis, they even gave me IV antibiotics for sepsis just in case at this time my Doctor told my Husband she was going to give me Ativan to bring down my heart rate and blood pressure after a few it seemed to help and the confusion lifted some though I was still really rough she explained that they didnt know why I had the event and that nothing had come back in my scans or test though my blood work for bacteria wouldnt be back for a couple days. They released me and told me to see my Doctor for a follow-up and though I was still scared about what had happened to me and why it had happened I had no choice but to trust that they knew what they were doing, the next day I go see my Doctor and we agreed to set up a new appointment to really dig into what happened and prevent it from happening again. Its now Sunday Fathers Day my boys and I set up a day out for my Husband and though I still feel really terrible we go out to dinner with our older son and his wife to Dinner where I received a phone call from a Physician from Poudre Valley Hospital that my blood work had come back with a rare bacteria and that I needed to come back to the emergency room right away, to say I was terrified cant quite describe how I was feeling so we leave dinner and head in only for the emergency room to get me back get in a IV all the bells and whistles on me all the while trying to figure out who called and what test had come back, well after a short time of fear while I still feel so sick turns out it was a contaminated blood draw this alone would be mildly frustrating because it scared me but I am not one to get overly upset over a mistake it was the Doctors behavior that really upset me see this is only second time in my Fourty years of life I have written a negative review but his behavior and the false information he gave to make me feel like the problem was nothing more then anxiety he was condescending and tried to make me feel like what happened to me was either something I brought on myself or in my head, he actually tried to tell me Ativan does not bring down heart rate or help lower blood pressure so I just thought it was somewhat helping me when really he didnt think anything was wrong with me. I have never been as scared as I was the night I ended up at the hospital I had never felt that way before but was told that the Ativan would help stabilize everything until my Doctor could help me figure out what had caused the situation. I followed everything I was told to do I was called in scared and unsure of what was happening and instead of being treated like a person that deserves the best medical care not because I have a ton of money or the best insurance ever but because I am a living human being with a Husband I love kids I love and a life I would like to continue living I was treated like another thing on the to do list get in get out. We go to the Hospital when we are at our most scared and vulnerable times of our lives the least you could do is not add to the terror and treat us like you would someone worth healing.

Our baby girl in in the NICU right now and it has been nothing but positive experiences. They have been completely transparent, 100% understanding, and unbelievably responsive.

This hospital does before consulting or asking what you prefer. There is no knowledge of what is happening until during or after the fact. They dont numb for IVs and claim do not have the ability to do so. The staff is mixed with amazing and terrible, so the gamble is high. If you like to have a say over your body or your kids, it is worth a drive to another hospital!

Had a partial knee replacement and had to spend a night.Everyone was amazing! From the doctors to the nurses!I woke up in recovery and they spoke softly and made sure to speak slowly with me.And when I made it up to my room, they bought my husband and two little ones in to see me as soon as they could. They even complimented my husband on keeping our kiddies quiet in respects to everyone else in the waiting room. They made sure I was comfortable and if I didnt feel comfortable, they did everything possible to make me feel that way.The nurses made sure my water was always full and if I was hungry, they offered me food from this little pantry area. And the food was pretty good! The physical therapist where so kind and helpful as well!It was an amazing stay and Im so thankful to everyone!

The staff at the hospital was very nice, however, it took 7 months to receive a bill for my son when I delivered him here. They charged $3739 for Room and Board, Nursery...except there is NO nursery, and I was billed on my bill for my room. The billing department says well hes considered a patient too and will be billed for his room, so I was literally charged twice to stay here and received a $5000 for my infant son who received no nursing care, no separate room (he never left my side), who slept in a plastic tub. On top of this billing will not return my phone calls and when my husband spoke to someone different, he was told pay it or dont, we dont settle or discount. Ridiculous!

I walked in with a broken wrist and had to wait about 2 minutes to be put in a room. Everyone was extremely nice and very helpful. The best experience I have had at a hospital.

If you need a transplant do not go here. You will die first. They do not care one bit about you. They couldn’t diagnose a cold. Can’t even learn how to do transplants of different blood types. Go to St Luke liver center! You survive and love your doctors. I did and I am finally a new transplant survivor!

The inpatient experience was fine but having to come to the hospital very frequently for labs is not as fine due to the difficulty at the entry way! Being impaired and needing a wheelchair, the main entrance is the pits! It is small and there are usually a number of cars. There is only a very small area without a curb and there are both drop-offs and pick-ups happening. It would be good to have a separate door for either one so that the congestion of the cars and pedestrians as well as patients would not be so difficult.

The last time my son was at this hospital was 11/2018. We have paid in full all bills from this Health System. I was assured on the phone several months ago, that the balance on my sons account was 0. Fifteen months later, we are still receiving bills and I am wondering about unethical and/or inept tracking of our payments. This facility has been investigated by the state of Colorado, for unethical practices. I wonder if these unethical practices extend to continuing to charge families for services, that were long since paid.

Horrible! They billed an old address and tried to double Copay. Ive had to call 4 times and they still havent made any effort to correct it. In fact there billing department says its not there responsibility to call insurance. Insurance said they paid it and my portion is half what Poudre is trying to charge. The operator for billing just keeps talking and doesnt want to do anything. I would highly recommend going elsewhere for medical care. This isnt the first time Ive had them try to over bill and make it PAINFUL to correct. Shame on you Poudre Valley.

I recently had hip replacement surgery at Poudre Valley Hospital and it went very well. I was very pleased with all the surgical staff. I spent the night in the Orthopedics unit and had excellent care. Pat on the back to all the nurses there. Good food too. Thanks to all for my surgery and care!

The Speech Pathologists at Poudre Valley Hospital are excellent. Maddie Ellis & Haley Ridger. I had a swallow test. They explained everything & were very good. They also were so nice and friendly. PVH is lucky to have them.

I stayed in the orthopedics wing for 2 1/2 days for surgery. I had the most comfortable and amazing stay there. Every single staff member I met was incredibly kind and responsive. They were all very supportive and made me feel better when I was anxious. I wish there was more I could do to show my gratitude. Best hospital experience ever. Thank you ortho wing staff!

I was placed on a mandatory suicide watch(m-1) and found out what kind of care people really receive here. None. They look out for the important big spenders and leave the less fortunate out to dry. This place will be talking with my attorney and we will be settling either in or out of court. Start bringing in the best you got cause y’all are done🤙🏽

I wasnt being rude my daughter has the whole thing on video when it happened the third time. The first two times you will just have to take my word for it. This is at the hospital or any of their other buildings they own. uchealth on Harmony is the worst they have a gal there named Vicky that runs the phones and she is as mean as mean comes.

It was better than McKee by a long shot. Decent care and staff, though Id have appreciated if they hadnt removed my appendix when they realized it was my Fallopian tube. Still, I got my bill right away, it was clearly itemized, easy to set up a payment, and they got my information right the first time. A big difference from McKee, with whom I gave them the right info from the start yet had to correct multiple times and they still screwed it up, sent my bills to the wrong address, and then put it immediately in collections.
