We went to emergency room for our 8 months old baby. She started crying since one of the nurses did corona check on her and my wife was trying to calm down her. And Dr. CURTIS W. Henderson was also in the room to check my baby. However, he told us that baby’s crying sound was making him disturbed. Which is so disrespectful. I mean she is baby and she is sick, so obviously she will cry. And doctors should take care of it and should not be disturbed. I have here in for long time and I have never been seen this kind of rude behavior from the doctor like. He is old enough to understand the pain of the baby. Please Dr. CURTIS W. HENDERSON be kind to the patients that you treat don’t be disrespectful.

Dr. Alice Antonescu and her team at the banner health clinic are outstanding. Dr. Antonescu is so personable, compassionate, and patient with both parents AND babies/children. She treated my baby with adoration and attempted to connect with her each time. She was even super patient and played along with my toddler who came to an appointment. Dr A took her time with us, never appeared to be in a hurry and was highly knowledgeable. I wish we could have stayed with her but we needed a pediatrician closer to home/work. I’m so glad we at least had those experiences with her. I’d highly recommend her.

My only experience here is the obgyn department. And I have to say, they are the most pleasant medical staff Ive ever dealt with. I have a severe phobia of needles and have trouble feeling comfortable with medical procedures. Beware Banner Health operates on predatory billing practices. I should have done more research before choosing a healthcare provider, but I never expected such a thing would happen after dealing with Northwestern Medical most of my life. They tried to balance bill me for the procedure I had, demanded payment upfront without ever providing a statement of services. Over billed my by $3000 which I got credited back after looking further into their billing practices. Waited over 60 days to submit the claim to my insurance, which threw off the claims we made during those dates. And when I called them out on their billing practices, readjusted the bill and submitted a higher claim to my insurance than the original service was charged. But because the refused to provide any sort of statement for the original service, I now have no proof to work with. Beware Banner Health. Even if you are on deaths door, a few feet from their facilities, go elsewhere. Avoid at all costs, or it will cost you 3X over.

I have had nothing but problems with Banner Health and this facility, from insurance issues to billing to my appointments.I looked up an in-network doctor from my insurance website and was sent to this facility. The first appointment I made was in December with no issues. I needed a follow up appointment in a month and was told that I could schedule it on the online portal. After the follow up January appointment, I received a bill that I thought was a little high but assumed my insurance didn’t cover the remaining balance. I paid the bill. Later I realized I was charge Out of Network fees for this visit.I had another appointment in February to receive a second dose of a vaccine I received in the first appointment. I checked in to my 9am appointment at 8:50am. At 9:15am I still wasn’t called back. It was a busy morning because the neighboring desk was handling COVID shots. By 9:30am, I was still waiting in the waiting room and was getting ready to ask what was taking so long. I made eye contact with the woman who checked me in and she immediately made phone calls. She came out and told me that the nurse had gotten called to an emergency and was coming back as soon as possible. By 9:45am the nurse called me back and told me that someone told her I wasn’t coming in for my appointment. Clearly someone was lying and they completely forgot about me. My appointment took 2 minutes in the exam room, but I waited for 1 HOUR and was lied to about what happened. All the while, I am working with my insurance to figure out why I am being charged with Out of Network fees. It turns out my appointment in January was Out of Network because my insurance no longer covered the doctor that I saw. After speaking with multiple people from my insurance, we called the doctor’s office and Banner billing department. I was told that since I scheduled my appointment online the insurance issue wasn’t discussed. And I was repeatedly scolded that it was my responsibly to make sure my doctor was covered under my insurance. I understand it is my responsibility and I was under the impression that I did everything correctly! I didn’t feel like it was right to be scolded repeatedly about it over the phone. After a while the woman from Banner told me that “they had dropped the ball” somewhere along the way in regards to insurance and they would review my claims.I received a phone call the following week stating that I was to be granted a refund and I would not be charged for my previous appointments. The woman I talked to added unnecessarily that I needed to make sure I found a doctor in-network and wasn’t very nice about it. She told me I would receive a check in the mail for the refund. This was the first week in March.Cut to April, still no word of a refund check. I called the Billing Department again and was told the charge would be returned to my credit card – not check – and would take 6-8 weeks. Now May 5th, I haven’t received a refund and called the Billing Department AGAIN. I spoke a woman who had trouble finding information about my visits. She could not see or find any notes about a refund for my January visit and the money I paid for that bill was transferred to my February visit bill. NO notes about a refund. She told me she was submitting the bill for review and that I had to call back in two weeks. My ENTIRE 6 months with Banner have been a complete s*** show . I have been forgotten about at appointments, been lied to, been scolded, and have a disaster billing issue that is unresolved to this date FOUR months later. If I could go back, I would avoid Banner at all costs. I hope this helps someone else make that decision.

I made a visit to Banner Health yesterday (05/26/21) and first let me start off by saying that there customer service is both amazing and professional! I have been going to Poudre Valley Hospital (UC Health) my whole life and have been mistreated by them (both physically and emotionally) on numerous occasions and have also had friends and family who were mistreated and UC Health does not care nor will they take any complaints seriously! Unfortunately, there are laws that prevent the hospitals from having cameras record in the rooms (ironically enough though... they DO have video camera balls IN the room... go figure), so they cannot be held accountable for the cruel things they do or have done. Anyway, I received MORE hospitality from Banner Health in my 3 minute visit then I have received from Poudre Valley (UC Health) in my near 33 year life!!! I am on Medicaid so I am not sure if I will be accepted at Banner Health, but thats okay... their emotional support actually helped eliminate some of my physical pain and trauma (caused by Poudre Valley Hospital (UC Health) has caused me over the years! May Jehovah (God) bless this facility and may his one and only begotten son (Jesus Christ) also help guide the employees in here to KEEP doing what they are DOING, because they are DOING an EXCELLENT JOB!!! The lady at the front desk was nice but I do not remember her name. The nurse (I believe her name Kimberly was also very sweet) and lastly, the lady who helped set me up, her name was Montana and she too was VERY amazing and accommodating during my brief visit there! All of the other ladies who were close by were ALL in good spirits and vibes and had smiles on their faces, they too deserve recognition! Lastly, I had a WONDERFUL interaction with the security guard (Charlie) outside of the building as I left and he too was AWESOME! He was so friendly and hospitable that you would have guessed he was one of the nurses or something and not a security guard! What an amazing group of people at this hospital that I hope to be apart of if I am approved/qualified for Medicaid! May Jehovah, (God) with assistance from his one and only begotten son, Jesus Christ, keep this place available as an option for those who do not feel comfortable or safe going to Poudre Valley (or any other UC Health facility), since there are only those two main hospitals in the entire city! Thank you all so much, Jehovah (God) love you and so does his one and only begotten son, Jesus Christ! Amen!

I went to the OB-gyn here and have had a terrible experience with their billing and appointment availability. I saw their PA Jennifer after my appointment with Dr Schutte was rescheduled not once, but four times. I then ran out of my prescription as a result. I was told as a new patient I would have to be seen for a prescription refill. After walking into the office and discussing a prescription refill my appointment was complete. I later found out that billing coded my appointment as a wellness examine. Leaving me with no option to have an annual exam that would be covered by insurance. I felt the appointment had been improperly coded. I sat with an office manager for 30 minutes trying to see if they would correct the mistake. Needless to say she was not helpful and they refused to correct the mistake. I felt my care was neglected as a result. I strongly discourage anyone from attending this office. Your level of care comes secondary. My experience was they will bill insurance for services they did not perform.

I was seen for an O.P. surgical visit for a knee scope w/repair if needed. From the moment I walked in to rolling out the door my experience was exceptional. I am a retired hospital employee and this was my first experience with Banner and a scope. It could not have gone any smoother. If I can say, minus the IV, stiches and scope my experience was perfectly painless. Honestly the IV was perfectly executed As for the Scope and Stiches I was asleep. I guess for the fact I never woke during the procedure that too must have been perfectly executed. This hospital was immaculately clean. I was extremely, extremely impressed with the entire visit and if the need ever arises I will use your facility again. Kudos to the receptionist to outpatient registration to the surgical staff and certainly to not be forgotten housekeeping. Its the work of the housekeeping that makes the first impression and your team did well. I think the housekeeping manager should buy a around of pizza for everybody in that department. Sorry manager of housekeeping if that puts you on the spot but your team did a great job.

They have a screen (several I think) with basic info on where each patient’s status is during surgery (pre op, in OR, in recovery, or moved from recovery). ID is by number. There’s also a phone in the waiting room and several extensions to call if you have questions or concerns throughout the process...and someone DOES answer. Her response was Yes I think we do?!? (That should have sent red flags up). She then scanned all my information and I immediately got back to see the doctor because my doctor Lisa Myers had called ahead. They did an MRI told me I had a bulging disc and gave me some heavy medication, then sent me on my way. It was only as we were leaving we were informed that they DON’T accept Blue Cross Blue Shield. 😡😡😡If I would’ve found this out at the beginning of my visit, I just would’ve gone to another hospital 5 minutes away! To be clear, I am reviewing the adminstrative portion of Banner Medical Center and not the healthcare providers. My experiences with the doctors, nurses, and technicians have been great. However, the adminstration side of this facility is insanely inept. When scheduling a mammogram the scheduler specifically asked me questions that would affect the day of the week on which the procedure could be performed. I gave the scheduler that information and the scheduler still made my appointment for a day that was not correct. This resulted my taking a half day off work, showing up, waiting, registering, waiting some more, only to be told by the technician right before the procedure that we would not be able to proceed. We rescheduled for over a week later so that I could take another half day off work.I recently had a billing question about the same procedure. I have called the billing number twice on two different days and both times have sat on hold for ten minutes only to be transferred to a voicemail box. This is fine, I dont mind leaving a message and getting a return call. However, both times the recording then informed me that the mailbox could not accept any more messages and then hung up on me. I will certainly be looking elsewhere for service providers now, which is unfortunate because I did like my doctor.

Best I can see there is nothing with my procedures that supports a bill that high.I will not be going back to this place and will be telling everybody I can to STAY AWAY.

This place is a joke! I took my child here for stitches and then never received a bill until the phone call came in from collections. I took my concern to the registration manager Billi Jo and she made the matter worse. This woman does not have a clue about management and messed up our childs social security with a combination of another daughter of ours. Hours spent trying to resolve this and thought it was taken care of and recently found out Im still in collections for an ER visit when we have TWO insurance.

I was refured to this location by my primary. Dr. Skutte and Dr. Thompson were amazing friendly, caring and made me feel very well taken care of and attended to. They even tolerated my husbands poor attitude. They took the time to explain anything I didnt understand and were very patient with this first time mama who had millions of questions and concerns. We have Dr Adam Plogman as our sons pediatrician and he is amazing. Its refreshing to see a Male doctor express genuine care, joy and love towards not just his patients but towards parents as well. My son ended up with a very rare condition and dr Plogman was fast to adress it and get us into the specialist we needed to see as well as following up with us and providing constant support, reassurance and help. All the nurses, receptionist and lactation team were wonderful. We only had a few minor irritations. The meternity/delivery bed was so hard the floor would have been more comfortable. My contractions were in my hips and lower back and that cement bed only made them worse. There wasnt anywhere for my husband to sleep other then an upright chair that didnt recline or a VERY small couch. Also one dr inperticular was so cold and really unkind to me during my ob apointments I refused to see her as she only focused on my weight, cold shouldered any questions I had and made every appointment feel rushed. I was forced to see her one time before I delivered to make sure she was on the same page as everyone else. When I arrived for the appointment she was very rude and after explaining to her why I was seeing her 3 times she still claimed to not know why I had an appointment with her and did not care about even talking with me. She Constantly making uncalled for comments throught my apointments with her and even refured me to a high risk specialist without even telling me first. Unfortunately she was the one who delivered my son. We ended up with a c section.. while she was efficient and quick her bedside manner not just to me but to my family in the room and to the concern of the attending nurse were very bothersome. Over all though a nice experience.

Gave me the wrong specialists name and number, after arriving at the correct specialist the hospital filed my info under the wrong name (not even close lets say it is dave and they put Ricardo). Again staff was great but the hilarious failings in communication if not caught could have led to more injury.

I have had numerous issues with this hospital. The first issue started when I called October 13th 2018 to make an appointment for November 15th 2018. I got a letter around Halloween from the office saying i missed my appointment...etc. I called to say that I purposely made my appointment for that date in November because I knew it was a date I could make. I was rescheduled for a later date in November. Upon my arrival, I was checked in and taken to the back for vitals with the nurse. At that point the nurse started to ask questions which lead me to believe she wasnt sure why I was there. As it turns out, whoever rescheduled my appointment for the later date in November made it for a annual physical exam rather then what I had originally scheduled it for and it was with a completely different doctor that I had specifically requested to see. The nurse quickly informed the doctor who was seeing me of the issue and I was told I would be charged for a different type of appointment. Here we are now mid December and I got a bill for $177 and some change. So I called my insurance who told me I was billed for a mental health consult which also didnt happen (the only mental health thing involved in my appointment was a survey all new patients were required to fill out). The insurance rep at the office then informed me when I called to ask about how I was billed the doctor I originally (back in October) scheduled with doesnt even take my insurance...not ONE person of the 3 receptionists I spoke with through all of that thought it was important to mention they dont accept Blue Cross (though my insurance company says they should...but thats another issue).Waiting for this issue to be reviewed but this office needs to get their act together.

I have been with banner for a couple years now. I have had a baby with them and they have been wonderful. Their team is great to work with, super responsive and I can always get in the same day for an appointment if my little one is sick. We have also had to use the emergency room a couple of times and there is almost no waiting which is amazing. I highly recommend banner.I also think that people are either going to have a great experience with a medical facility or a poor one. You have to know going into the Banner system that it is a closed loop and to go into any medical practice with patience and respect and you typically get that back :-)I love our doctors at Banner Fort Collins Dr. Schutte and Dr. Carleson. I highly recommend them and their team.

I hate that I have to even give one star. This place is a complete joke! My sister had her C-section done here and shes lucky to be alive. No one should ever trust the medical staff at this place. They did not check her incision after the first 24 hours, we had to ask them for diapers and blankets for new baby because the nursing staff simply didnt care. My sisters incision opened up, and the surgeons response was well, its too late to do anything about this now. We will just glue it back together. Glue, for a C-section?!? We had to rush her to a different hospital a few days after her release because the GLUE DIDNT WORK! Good God I would ask to see the staffs medical certifications/degrees before allowing them to treat you or anyone you love.

I had a very unpleasant experience with this hospital. I felt verbally humiliated by the ER doctor, and that he had better things to do than help me. The nurses were kind, and I was seen quickly, so that is something, and I felt that their testing was thorough. But they released me (on painkillers) to walk to my car alone at night. The billing is a joke too. I have spent months trying to resolve my outrageous bill. Too bad Kaiser is contract with this hospital. I left feeling worse from this place and I would hesitate to take my children here.

Their way is very expensive for health network, and very confusing when you try paying them. You may also pay tub loads of money for a specialists, and NEVER meet the doc. Always trainees that only know how to read doc suggestions. I have them 2 stars cause they do have cool tech, but way overpriced, lazy and barley anyone there to help. My surgeon did an excellent job and I felt well cared for. I would absolutely go back to this facility for myself and/or my family/kids.As a responsible consumer of healthcare, I made sure my insurance was accepted here; no differently than I check to see if my PCP is in network or if generic RXs are covered with my insurance. For those that dont/didnt, please dont blame the hospital for your lack of knowledge in regards to your insurance or how EMTALA works.

The OB docs are great. The billing system within the clinic, however, seems quite flawed. My bill did not indicate anywhere that it had been submitted to my insurance company, so I had to call and check on that. Then, when I asked about the medical codes used to bill my insurance, I was told the clinic could answer those questions. The clinic said I would need to call their billing department, so I did. The people in billing said they dont understand the medical codes and that I should call the clinic. So I did. After nearly an hour of calling various phone numbers, sitting on hold, and speaking with people who dont seem to know much of anything about how things work within the very clinic in which they are employed, my questions remain unanswered and my confidence in the individuals who do all billing-related work for Banner has been drastically lowered.

Deliberately deceitful insurance practices. If you have BCBS avoid avoid avoid avoid. This hospital is like a ghost town, and its because they dont take your insurance. They try to hide behind EMTALA -- a law designed to protect patients right to access care -- and instead pretend EMTALA means that legally they CANT tell you they dont take your insurance. It wasnt an emergency, you saw my BCBS insurance card, refused to take it, and waited until it was too late to break the bad news with animated glee. The other reviews posted here show a clear and deliberate pattern of deception. Shame on you. This hospital is a shining example of everything that is wrong with healthcare in America.

I went to banner Hospital in Ft Collins, CO for hip replacement surgery. I have never been to such an awful place;* Registration was like dealing with a used salesman. Woman repeatedly mentioned my portion of the bill. I thought I would be billed.* No housekeeping in sight. Only time I saw my room being mopped is when I had an accident on the floor and the nurse threw towels on the floor and wiped up my urine.* Had a portable toilet which I couldnt use unless I got a staff member to the bedside (Im 66 yo), yet somehow a plastic urine measuring hat was still in the bathroom toilet with the prior patient urine in it.* Never offered a clean gown, bed never got changed and was never offered a wash basin. Finally asked for a clean gown and a hot washcloth. I gave up on clean compression socks.* I was told that the beds arent mattress beds but air beds. VERY uncomfortable!!* Didnt find out about being discharged until the nurse popped in and asked if I needed help getting dressed. I asked him why and was told that I would be discharged. As I was trying to get dressed, PT and the nurse were both talking to me about my after care, so I remembered 5% of information.* We waited outside for my cab for a half hour or so. When I got in the cab, driver was upset. Cab company was told by hospital I was leaving at noon. He sat out front and finally went inside the hospital and asked for me. Was told I was going to leave at 3. He took another fare on Northside of town but got a call from the hospital that I was ready to go. He raced back to the hospital and I was outside.Never received call from Banner Hospital but did have a call from family Dr office asking how I was. Dr is with UC Health. This was the worst experience in the hospital Ive ever had. Please, stick with PVH.

I would avoid this hospital at all costs. My experience is from the Maternity Ward, as well as an ER visit. Skip below to view the ER visit. I came in for a delivery of my second child because the hospital where we were registered was too far away. The maternity ward consists of 5 rooms, whereas Mckee Medical Center, a Banner Hospital, has 17. I was moved from maternity to general population and then back to maternity. I wish they would have left me in general population because in the maternity ward, a loud beeping noise went off every hour, and the bed was a labor and delivery bed that would not lay flat. The food is actually really good and the cafeteria staff is very kind. I had nurses coming into my room without knocking, catching me on the toilet, and undressing, which was very surprising, because I wasnt expecting visitors when my husband and toddler were either sleeping or home. Now for my ER visit. I was discharged from maternity and given a packet of things to look out for that needed immediate attention if I were experiencing them. 7 hours after I was discharged, I had the symptoms of a blood clot in my leg. So we came to the ER. I could walk fine, I was alarmed due to the discharge packet I was given by the maternity nurses. What scares me most about this hospital is that the Dr. suggested that the pins in my foot from a surgery 13 years ago, could have moved, and wanted to do an XRAY, as well as an ultrasound. I refused the XRAY because I am pretty sure that if the pins in my foot had moved, I wouldnt be able to walk. I waited an hour in the ER to have an ultrasound. The woman who did the ultra sound was very personable, I enjoyed my time with her. I was discharged from the ER with no resolution to my symptoms, no blood clot at least. Later , finding out, that the symptoms are a result of nerve damage to my spine through another avenue.

I went here for my prenatal care, delivery, and now take my son here to one of the pediatricians. Two of the OBs, Dr. Thompson and Dr. Schutte, are friendly, knowledgeable, and make you feel as if you, your health, and your family are the most important thing in the world. Every single one of the delivery nurses took amazing care of us during our stay. The receptionist and nurses in the clinic know us by name and make us feel so welcome every time we walk in. Even the cafeteria workers who saw me when I was in labor remembered us after my son was born and we took him to the cafeteria with us. The NST nurse even noticed when I had finished the book I was reading during my visits and brought in a new one. I was in a small car accident while I was pregnant and called the nurse line who told me to go in to get him checked out and by the time I got there the emergency room had my paperwork ready and my doctor had already been called, she even offered to come in even though it was the middle of the night. Everyone who cared for me during my pregnancy gets excited to see my son when we take him into his pediatrician visits. I love feeling as if the whole building is there to support me and my family. However, one of the OBs, Dr. Coonrod, does not add to the warm and caring atmosphere of the rest of the facility. She was extremely inpersonal which did not bother me at first as I thought it was just her personality and she was still a very competent doctor. However as time went on she would not explain to us the answers to questions we had like the other OBs did, and when she diagnosed me with a complication she did not explain to us at all any of the risks associated with it. I asked her about it in a following visit to which she finally did explain, and then as we were leaving and werent even out of the hall yet we literally heard her making fun of us to the nurses saying how she was struggling to keep a straight face when all we did was ask her genuine questions about the risks associated with her diagnosis. When the rest of the clinic smiles and greets us, she doesnt even acknowledge us when she sees us. I still recommend this facility to pregnant women and those with children, yet if it was not for her I would have given 5 stars.

The doctors, on the other hand, are rude and patronizing, they dont listen to their patients, and, quite frankly, they treat patients like dumb animals who dont know a leg from an eye. Ive had several rude and ridiculous doctors in the time Ive dealt with Crohns, but never have I been so insulted, and treated with less care. If staying longer than an er visit, take the extra time to go somewhere else. I wish I could give them 0 stars. I went in to the ER because I am pregnant and was bleeding and cramping. First they treated me as if I was lying about being pregnant. Asking me a number of times how I KNEW I was pregnant (8 pee tests, 2 blood tests, confirmed by primary doctor) and condinued to make these comments after getting my paper work faxed from my regular doctors office. They did a tranvaginal ultrasound which clearly said I was 5 weels 6 days pregnant. The ultrasound tech said this also. Apparently the radiologist said I wasnt pregnant at all (what?) And the OB on call said I clearly was and that there was blood under the placenta. I wad told I have an infection, to take it easy and to drink lots of fluids and that I am at a high risk of miscarriage. A terrible experience in general amplified by rude, condisending providers who treated me like I was an inconvienince in addition to displaying blatent incompetence. I WILL NEVER GO BACK.

This is with FULL coverage insurance- banner is in network for us. He only had a few stitches after having topical cream applied. Then to make matters worse I cant get an answer from anyone at the entire facility If stitch removal is included. Although the entire staff is great to work with, and I am grateful they took care of my son, I am beside myself that every other medical facility I called about suture removal say it is included.
