The Emery Counseling staff Ive interacted with are welcoming, warm, & friendly. Josh Emery is calm, compassionate, and truly cares, and Im learning tools that help me deal with my life. Gary is remarkably good at what he does. I’ve been seeing Gary for good mental health now for over 20 years, most of the time with my lovely bride of 23 years. He’s helped us walk through all kinds of issues and troubles in our lives… and some good times too. What an invaluable asset he’s been.

My husband and I have been seeing Josh at Emery Counseling for the past 3 years off and on. He helped us through some of the toughest times in our marriage. We BOTH feel heard, seen, valued, and always leave with an action plan to take. I truly believe that our marriage is flourishing in large part due to the wise counsel we have received here over the years. My fiance and I have been going to counseling here since December. It has been very helpful to our relationship in giving us the tools to build a strong foundation. There is a lot we have learned about communicating well and working together as a couple. I would highly recommend going here. We have been meeting with Gary. He has been wonderful and he has changed how both my fiance and I communicate and connect with one another in a very positive way.

I have been seeing Gary for several months at Emery Counseling. he is has helped me develop several methods for recognizing shifts in moods towards depression and anger, and methods coping with and communicating these mood swings. I am still in the beginning stages of becoming a better person and I will continue to see Gary who always seems to have an a great point of view that I can use to address my issues. I only wish my schedule would allow me to get in to see him more.

Ive been working with Bree for a number of years now and she has been such a blessing in my life. I was really hesitant towards counseling until I met her and that perspective completely shifted in me. She has helped me work through a lot of difficult parts of my story and is really good at calling me higher! Even in the things Ive felt a lot of shame in she has approached me with such compassion. She has also advocated for me when others werent and has pushed me to seek out additional care when she didnt feel like her support was enough. Shes really wonderful in a lot of ways that I couldnt fit into a review. Id DEFINITELY recommend not just Bree but anyone at Emery Counseling!

Were big fans of Josh and Emery Counseling. We were hesitant to take the first step, but are so glad that we did. In fact, weve found so much value in it, we dont have plans to stop anytime soon. My family and I have known the Emery family for years. What an amazing and encouraging group of people. When youre at the point that divorce seems the only option, dont give up without giving Josh @ Emery Counseling a chance. If you can get over the hurdle of getting an agreement to go to counseling and can commit to the process of getting better once you do, Josh is very fair to both parties. He showed a reluctant couple that we had options. He teaches the skills necessary to communicate more effectively. With each building block, you can begin to see the light. Our healing is ongoing but knowing we have someone in our corner when we need help has offered hope to the hopeless.
