I am extremely happy with my experience here. Super easy set up, front desk is always incredibly helpful. Now my therapist, shes the absolute bomb. Highly recommend these guys as they are as good as they say. Have gotten some amazing help. Have had a number of therapists in my life and I quit going to see them for well over 10 years. I was scared to try again but knew I needed to. It was the best choice I could have made. Thank you Alicia for all you amazing help.

I am immensely grateful that the receptionist connected me with Carolyn Miller when I called as a new client. I am in an extremely challenging period of my life. Many could say it is the most challenging, but losing my Dad unexpectedly in 2019 was a doozy. Carolyn is an exceptional therapist and my strongest support as I process through this period, despite only seeing her for the past three weeks. Days after our sessions, I reminisce on the insight gained and continue to learn from her in my time outside her office. She deserves 10 stars. I can only imagine how many people she has helped in her life and absolutely recommend her for anyone in need of support.

Incompetent counselors who dont listen. I would definitely not recommend. It was one of the worst therapy sessions I have ever had.

Our experience with foundations has been pretty good. We are very satisfied with our counselor as well as all staff we have been in contact with. Everyone is very professional. However, we recently received a notification of the flat rate price increase taking place next year. The flat rate was a bit off putting at the old rate. Me being seen individually is no different in price than our couples therapy. Yes I am aware of the costs associated with running a business. But I question on whether the CEO or CFO were planning on raises for themselves during this difficult time. Mental health is paramount in this modern age. It shouldnt be looked at as a luxury item for those who can afford it. Your old price structure was too high in my opinion but I am very pleased with my results and have been doing what needs to be done in order to afford it. But when considering the new price structure, and the fact that I, my wife, my son and my wife and I as a couple are all in counseling, a more affordable option needs to be considered as our mental health during these difficult times are proving to be cost prohibited. Which does sadden me as we have made a great connection with our counselor. I would rather see the awesome staff in a smaller, less attractive office building than to be wowed with esthetics. Your new pricing (and old in my opinion) is reserved for those with an excess of disposable income. I reccomend at the very least, to consider taking insurance or better yet, have a price structure more suitable for the middle and lower economic class.

I am extremely disappointed at the raising the rates I will probably continue but as soon as the right change takes effect I will be seeking new counselling. Mental health is not something that should be for only those who can afford it. Thursday pretty good chance because of this hike in rates I will not be able to continue my mental health counselling

I’ve had an excellent experience here. Keli has never made me feel judged or dramatic. I do feel this has helped to get a grasp on issues in my life. I highly recommend Foundations.

My daughter recently started seeing Stephanie at Foundations. It has been the best thing for her. The intake personel that placed her with Stephanie did an amazing job pairing them up. My daughter was apprehensive to begin sounseling and after her fist meeting with Stephanie she was hooked. She looks forward to her weekly sessions. It is really all about relationships and Stephanie has done an amazing job connecting with my daughter so quickly. I look forward to the impacts their sessions will have on my daughter! It is hard to find a good counselor or therapist. But I did the first try very professional place and very comfortable and secure setting.

This is a great place to get yourself back on track with your career or self care work. I have been working with Tim Reichner and he has done an incredible job. He has motivated me to move outside my comfort zone and it has helped me grow significantly in a short amount of time. My therapist, Seth, is really great so far. Hes been very fair, patient, and helpful. The free first visit is really awesome to get a better idea of whether or not the person is a good fit. Scheduling has been easy and convenient. The facility is very nice, easy to get to and parking has never been a problem.I only have 2 small complaints. First, they dont bill insurance. Second, they are keeping all my credit card info on paper, which is old fashioned and contains more information (like cvv code) than is stored digitally. It looks like theyre also storing it digitally anyway as I dont see them pulling out my file every time I go in. So two opportunities for compromise. Its a minor complaint, but I work in the security industry so its something I notice.

The whole environment was very warm and welcoming. The receptionists were very helpful in answering any of my questions, my councilor was kind and helped to get me out of my shell a bit. The entire process, from finding the building, making an appointment, and having the appointment all went smoothly. Talking with a counselor at foundations was very helpful for me. They helped me to normalize going to a counselor and start me on the path to better mental health as effortlessly as they could.

I’ve thought about seeing a therapist for years, but I never took the plunge. I recently moved to Windsor and as part of improving my overall health I decided to make this step. I was fortune enough to learn about Foundations Counseling, and with their help, I was able to find a therapist very quickly. The counselors here are some of the kindest and most helpful people you will find. I have been going through a tough time lately (thats life, right?) and it has been such a relief to have their support. EMDR therapy services that they provide here is helping me heal in big ways.

I am very pleased with the counseling services I am receiving so far. It has been 3 sessions as of writing this review. I do wish the price of counseling was cheaper as I am unable to do this long term due to the cost.

There waiting areas are nice and relaxing. They treat you like a person and are able to work with your schedule and finances to best meet your needs.

Ive seen several therapists over the years without much luck. I was lucky to stumble on Foundations Counseling and especially, Jennifer Meyer. We are investing in the emotional health of our 8 year old who suffers from anxiety and we are so thankful for Foundations Counseling. I called several other counseling offices when our search began 3 months ago. I grew tired of the phone tag or their promises to call me back to see if they had an opening. I called Foundations Counseling after nearly giving up the search. I didn’t even have to leave a voicemail! Their receptionist answered right away and matched me to Rebecca for a consultation that same week! I immediately loved Rebecca and knew she’d be a great fit for our child. She outlined a plan for treatment and her goals and expectations. Our child had her first visit and can’t wait to go back. It’s so reassuring to know that we are getting the help we need to help our child feel confident, happy and whole again.

I have been going to counseling here for the past couple months and I am very pleased with my counselor and this company. The entire staff is very friendly and very helpful. They don’t how ever work with insurance directly but at any time you can ask for a statement to show to your insurance and they will give it to you with no problem. I definitely recommend this counseling service to anyone that needs it for big/small issues, or even if they need just need a outsiders/third party’s opinion.

Ive been going to therapy consistently for about four years now but have been with Foundations for only about a year and a half or so. Never in my entire life have I seen such an improvement in my own personal wellbeing than I have in my time working with Seth at Foundations. Seth Spurgeon is a kind, compassionate, relatable, encouraging, and well-experienced person who has had nothing but a positive impact on my individual growth. While I can only speak on my experiences with my own counselor, the other staff at Foundations are friendly and theres always hot coffee waiting in the waiting room. (Although with the pandemic going on, Im not sure about that last part, lol.)Foundations is home to a truly excellent group of counselors and I have had nothing but positive experiences in my time with Seth!

They dont take any insurance. My wife drives up from Wyoming. One day there was a snow storm that closed the road. She texted Hanna to tell her she couldnt make it. Hanna texted that she could do a phone session or reschedule. My wife chose to reschedule because she prefers in person sessions. Hanna never told my wife that she was going to be charged $140 anyway. If my wife knew that she wouldve took the phone session. I called and they said they would have the manager call me. I never heard from anyone. They are not concerned about your health, rather about making money. Poor example of professionalism and concern for others. Recommendation: go find a professional thats willing to complete the paperwork that allows them to take your insurance.

I’ve seen several counselors and have never connected with one quite like I have with Nicholas. It’s the first time I’ve been able to share what’s bothering me with out feeling like I’m being judged. The environment and staff really put you at ease.

My experience here has been wonderful! I was looking for a counselor that was active rather than just a listener and I have definitely found that. In just a few months, I already feel better able to moderate and understand my emotions, and am far happier with my day-to-day life.I was concerned about finding a counselor that was not judgmental about non-typical aspects of my lifestyle, and Ive been so lucky to find that. I had to cancel my appointment due to my kids being sick. I did call in the day before and even offered to show a drs note. I apologized and they suggested I call the woman I was meeting with to discuss the cancellation policy. I called her and explained everything over a voicemail. I never recieved a call back. I called again and still never received a call back. I did however get charged $140. Definitely, disappointed and wont be returning. Very unprofessional!!

Foundations is a game changer! Although once a cynic of couples counseling, I now find myself telling everyone about its benefits. My husband and I saw Phil who helped grow our 10+ years marriage in unexpected ways. Our counseling sessions highlighted relational gaps, challenged our perceptions, increased our emotional understanding of each other, and renewed our commitment to serve one another. Turn around in front desk personnel. Seems always have job posting for front desk. Counselor Heidi Kalask would not recommend. She keeps you for 2 sessions without asking you and you end up paying 280.00 out of pocket for 2 hours. Unprofessional, does not put effort into helping. Not sincere or passionate in her job. Is not for restoring relationships. Divorced herself and reaches out to clients on dating sites. Texts clients, which inappropriate. Would not recommend.

My review is necessarily largely based on my experience with my counselor.As far as the organization goes, the premise is large, organized, welcoming. The front desk staff are always pleasant and accommodating. I interview several potential counselors prior to selecting Foundations. I matched up with the one I chose quickly.

The staff and counselors at Foundations have been amazing to work with. The owner was extremely responsive when contacted to set my initial appointment and paired me with the best counselor for my personality and situation. I have been very pleased and referred friends and family to them as well. Their online customer portal helps me remember appointments and easily access billing statements to send to my insurance company.

Counsler was nice but administrative staff do not care. This company employs good therapists but then turns around and fraudulently charged my card over $500.00. If you are self pay DO NOT go here

Helpful staff on phones great to talk to.Company does not accept any forms of insurance and I have been told by friends they have a cancellation policy of 48hrs without exception.Would go if they did 24hr policy and accepted insurance.

I was in a pretty bad place mentally when I finally decided I had to see someone. Admitting to yourself that you need help to turn your life around is one of the most difficult things. I’m thankful I found Foundations and specifically Phil Hartwick. Phil helped me quickly identify where some of the issues I was dealing with stemmed from and developed a plan to turn things around. I was amazed with how quickly I experienced progress and a shift mentally. Phil changed my life and I am forever grateful.

Working in mental health, and having tried previously to find a therapist I connected with on more than an “okay” level unsuccessfully, I cannot overstate how positive my experience at Foundations Counseling has been. All therapy is NOT created equal, and switching to Foundations meant the difference from small life tweaks and scripted textbook dialogue to meaningful insight, movement towards full life change, and addressing some serious, deep rooted “stuff.” I would highly recommend Foundations to anyone.

Very very very poor. I scheduled a consultation here desperately trying to find someone in this town who has experience with adult ADD and CBT, but I was paired with a counselor who knew nothing about either of those things. Sadly the worst part was that by the time my appointment came I had learned my new health insurance would not consider Foundations in network. The woman I met with was nice and told me she could help me find some other places to try. She then scheduled another appointment with her for 4 days later - on a holiday no less. Inevitably, I was not able to make it and between work and house guests I was not able to cancel before the 48 hour window (which was only 48 hours after my initial appointment). I understand it is my responsibility to cancel within 48 hours, and I paid the $140 for literally NOTHING because I dont want something that asinine to hurt my credit score.However, for a practice that specializes in helping people, it all felt verrrrrry insincere and scammy.

Foundations was amazing! I had tried a few other places that were completely horrible especially for the field they’re in but Foundations was fantastic! Easy to schedule a consult and they made a great effort to pair me with a counselor who had experience with PTSD. My counselor, Jenn, was phenomenal and would highly recommend her.

I started seeing a therapist at Foundations early last year. I felt welcome at Foundations, made significant strides with her in treatment, and had great interactions with other staff/admin. However, she was recently let go by Foundations and I was informed that I would have to find a new therapist.A few weeks ago, the therapist I was seeing was hired elsewhere, but Foundations will not allow me to continue seeing her, even though it is in my best interest to do so. If their priority was their clients, they would not bar someone from seeing a therapist who they already have an established relationship with. Ive gone almost 2 months without treatment now and my mental health has regressed because of it. I am disappointed and frankly angry that I cannot continue seeing someone who has helped me tremendously because they now work elsewhere.***UpdateI reached out to Foundations and asked for Chris Berger like they asked me to. No response. No call back.
