I called about 7 electricians today, to assess the problem I was having with a circuit. Jim called me back within the hour, suggested a fix for me over the phone, and I had the problem wrapped up shortly after. He didnt have to come out to my house or even charge me. I couldnt believe it.Ill be calling him for any of my future electric needs!

Always extremely great dealing with Jim. Great communication, respectful of my house (personal house this time around) and gets done exactly what I need. I never question work being done the right way or with corners being cut. I always recommend Jim to all my potential home owners and new home owners Ive worked with!

Incredibly satisfied. Called them on a Sunday because the previous electrician I scheduled couldnt come in until Thursday. Left a message. Received a call back in about 10 minutes; scheduled an appointment for the next day. Jim was super polite, super personal, and super helpful. Resolved the issue promptly and charged WAY less than I was expecting to pay. Will definitely be using them again (though hopefully not too soon :)

These guys are amazing. I had them replace my baseboard heaters with electric forced air fan heaters as well as install some recessed lighting in my house. They are extremely efficient. Also kept in great contact with me throughout the two day project with questions and great ideas about how things would look and better placement for the heaters and lights that I would not have thought of. I will recommend on call electric to any of my friends and would never stray from them with electric needs. Their whole crew is fantastic and put their full minds and energy into giving the best work possible. Really a great company to have work done in the house. Very invested in the project they are working on.

I just wanted to thank everyone at On Call Electric. Twice now they have came out to our business and got us back up and running as quick as possible. On the first visit Jim was amazing and last week Randy was absolutely terrific, they really have the customers best interest in mind and there service is top notch.

The service was quick and they cleaned up after themselves pretty well. They even come to my location which was one hour away from home to get paper signs and speed the process for my solar panel installation. I will recommend on call electric to anyone!!

I called about having what I thought to be a faulty light fixture replaced. The receptionist was very kind and had my appointment setup for the next morning. Jim came by and discovered that it was actually the switch. He quickly repaired the issue and had my light working well within 1/2 hour. He even repackaged the replacement light fixture I had purchased for return to help save me more money. Timely, fast and friendly. I would HIGHLY recommend On Call to friends and family.

Very happy with the service, responsiveness, and work performed by Jim at On Call Electric! We were having electrical issues prior to a final inspection and Jim came out and located the problem and got everything taken care of so that we could pass the inspection. After booking the service and waiting for 3 weeks, I was notified 2 hours before that he wont make it... and next appointment will be available only in 2 weeks. How can you plan any electrical work when this a possible scenario? I Dont doubt the technical skills, however service and commitment is awful. At the very minimum they shouldve offered 1 or 2 days turnaround for rescheduled appointment and not 2 weeks...

My husband and I bought a new chandelier and needed some help installing it. On Call Electric got a tech out at our house within an hour of my call. The tech was friendly, quick, clean and had our chandelier working in minutes. Very highly recommend On Call Electric, plus I love that theyre a small local company!

One of their technicians came by for a DSL outlet installation quote recently and honestly gave us information, that dropped what would have been a few hundred dollar work bill down to 60, regarding purchase of a device unrelated to their own services. We will definitely go to them for any other electrical needs.

Called last night they had an opening for 8:30am so my husband called into work saying he would be there as soon as they were done. Two and a galf hours after they were suppose to be there we call and it somehow didnt get on their schedule. They did do good work found and corrected the problem quickly and gave us a discount for the scheduling mistake. I would recommend them to anyone and will use them again if we have any other issues. My experience started off great with Jim and On Call Electric, and quickly went south. I had a small project for them… run a new line from the panel to an existing outlet location, and to also run a very short piggy back line from an existing lighting circuit to a set of 3 new all installed next to each other. We had also initially wanted to replace 4 hallways fixtures with LED retrofit cans, more on that in a second. Jim quoted between $300-400 for the job and we were good with that.He showed up at our scheduled work date but had forgotten to place the order for any of the light fixtures we needed. He did manage to run the new line to the existing outlet and ready the wiring for the new set of lights. They came back a few days later to try and retrofit the hallway lights with the LEDs. Turns out, those retrofits did not fit properly. I told him I would figure it out on my own.Upon inspecting their work from the previous visit, I realized they hadn’t properly secured (stapled) the new wire to the stud, and they had piggy-backed the new line off of an existing circuit at the panel, instead of installing a new breaker like we had originally discussed. I fixed the staple issue and installed a new breaker and wired it myself. They later told me they didn’t have the proper breaker at the time, but were planning on coming back. I didn’t know this, and they didn’t tell me that until weeks later when I questioned it. I spoke with Jim about this a few minutes ago, and he told me that he is the professional, and he didn’t feel like he had to tell me what he was doing.They finally came back with the 3 new lights that needed installed. One of the lights ended up being faulty. They left the light in but promised to replace it.Somewhere around here, Jim called my contractor (who was helping with the project on my home) and told him the bill would likely be $500+. My contractor and I were both surprised. Not only was this above his original quote, but we had ended up killing one part of the project, they didn’t do another part fully (On Call will disagree with this) that I ended up having to finish myself, and they still hadn’t even finished the job yet!About a month went by before I got a call from their receptionist that they had just ordered the replacement light and wanted to schedule a time to come out the following week. Not sure why it took a month to order a light. But anyway, they came back out and got it replaced. Turns out that replacing the faulty light led to some other strangeness on the circuit when using a dimmer switch. The one electrician told me he was going to research it and get back to me so we could figure out what was going on. While they were here I tried to write them a check and get a final total, but was told that they don’t handle any sort of payment in-person, I’d have to deal with the office. Fine. I told those guys to have the office contact me directly (and not my contractor) and we’d get squared up, and to let me know what we could do about the dimmer switch issue.Well, another 6-7 weeks went by and I never heard anything from them, until my contractor got an invoice in the mail (with my name, but his address) last week. I tried calling their office to discuss it, no answer. It is worth noting that this is the FIRST and ONLY actual invoice I ever received from On Call. Then I get a call a week later from a law office in Florida trying to collect on the bill! I am totally floored!So at this point, the job has dragged on from the end of October through the end of February. They still have not finished the job. They won’t return my phone calls. And have the gall to send it to collections.As a follow up, I did speak to Jim and he disagrees that the breaker was part of the original bid. And also claims that my contractor received an invoice 2 months ago. Not sure if that’s true or not, but I never received it even though I asked them to square up with me directly.

Jim from On Call came to our house recently to give us a quote on installing an Electric Vehicle charger. He was very nice, right on time, and his quote was more than reasonable. Were definitely having him do the install.
