My sister had so much trouble getting her referral and records accepted from her previous physician. Amy (who answers the phone) said they received them (after 2 tries) then we didnt hear anything back about an appointment so called back and then she said they never had them? My sister got very sick while waiting and went to urgent care and got a referral. After having the previous physician fax records yet again, still have nothing. And they sure never offered to help or follow up at all. The doctor seems great its just actually getting in that we had a lot of difficulty with and it really shouldnt be that way.

They saw me a few times until I could get a colonoscopy done. After my procedure I have had no communication from them. I still have my health issue (nothing has been resolved) and it seems like I have been dropped. It seems like they only wanted my money. They did not even suggest who else to go to for help.

I do not recommend this place.

Dr. Webb is a new addition to this office but I cannot praise him enough. He is knowledgeable and thorough. He listened to me intently and addressed symptoms I’ve been begging my primary care doctor to look into. He’s provided me more individualized care in a couple months than I received in the last several years from other physicians. I feel much more satisfaction in my medical care after being referred to this office and him specifically. He was a great choice to add to the team!

I have been a a patient here for around 2 years. My first experience was with Brian Cronk, who is a PA. He was very dismissive and condescending towards me, and I felt as if I was wasting his time. If you are a user of marijuana, dont even bother, your symptoms will immediately be taken less seriously because of it. I was also asked several times if my problems were due to an eating disorder, even after I told him I have never had such issues. Very inappropriate.I was ready to go elsewhere, and then a new PA, Heidi Harrold started and it was a completely different experience. I felt like she listened, had empathy, and genuinely cared for her patients. Sadly she has left the practice, and I will be finding another office to care for me and start over.

Dr Hampton is an excellent Dr. Unfortunately his nurse is the reason I left. She was beyond rude, when I asked to speak with the Dr the nurse refused. She told me to find a different Dr.

I have been a patient of Dr. Hampton’s for over 4 years now, and as someone who has had autoimmune issues over the better part of a decade, most of my past doctors have never taken me seriously, or assumed because I was young I didn’t need to be ‘in the know’ of all aspects of my diseases or treatment. The minute I met Dr. Hampton, he treated me with nothing but respect, filling me in on all side-effects, being upfront and positive about my options and always keeping the best quality of life at the top of his priorities. He is insanely intelligent and has seen me through a 5 year remission, as well as a new and scary diagnosis. Through it all, he and his medical staff (Gina is amazing!!) have been there time and time again to support me, get me scheduled in, answer any questions and work with me in a kind and timely manner amongst all the craziness that is having a chronic condition. I am thankful to have such a great team behind me and their support alone makes me confident in my wellness and long-term quality of life. They are the best!

The staff was all very friendly and helpful. Dr. Dunphy was courteous, helpful and caring. She took the time needed to review my records as a new patient as well as time to learn how my health has changed. Gave me a detailed care plan.

Dr. Dumphy takes the time to think through your health issues, looks at you as an individual and develops a plan the fits your needs and unique body.She is thorough, thoughtful and caring. Also excellent follow up to make sure the plan is working or make changes when necessary. Friendly efficient staff too.I wish all my experiences with the medical community were like this. I feel confident and well cared for.

Ive seen Dr. Jenkins three times now for gastrointestinal issues. He is the best. He has always given me all the options for me to assess. He has always been very honest with me.

What I got from the Dr. was an affirmation that I am receiving much better care where I am located. I would not recommend this practice.

After insurance I paid 50$ to speak with a specialist, instead I received a very cold physicians assistant. At the end of the appointment my take away was, Have you tried just suffering in silence instead of bothering me? Or how about you go back and try everything you have already tried for the last year with no success?

First search on how much the average cost is for a colonoscopy. At this place it is 7,500+ and with the billing coding the out of pocket for me was 3k. The procedure was fine and they treat you like a number which is common for a practice of this size. I would look at other options.

A very nice visit, I wasnt expecting such nice compassionate people. From the receptionist to the nurses and doctors everyone was A+, and knowledgeable I would recommend them very highly.

I would like to thank the staff I have dealt with at this clinic in providing very professional, friendly and caring service. Prior to a procedure, I had some special concerns that I needed to address. When I contacted the clinic, Tanya in medical records went the extra mile to get me the information I needed in a timely manner. Dr. Dunphys medical assistant, Jazmin, was so helpful in reaching out to make sure I had all my questions answered on multiple occasions. And Dr. Dunphy took the time to make sure I felt comfortable and personally followed up to ensure I was doing fine. I was in good hands with my care providers - with an emphasis on care.

Check-in was a bit off. I had been told by the woman that called me about making the referral that since I had the colonoscopy in September I would not need to fill this paperwork in again. Not so, I had not done the center for gastroenterology s papery. Something had I know I would have done prior to the appointment if it was available online.Brittany was very kind and helpful. Brian Crook was professional. Asking questions that were appropriate.

Ive been treated for my Crohns at this clinic since I was diagnosed in 2011. I have never had a bad experience. Everyone, from the front desk, to the nurses and assistants, to the doctors have all been friendly, prompt, thorough, knowledgeable, and professional. I saw Dr. Compton until his retirement and never had any problems. I always felt like I was in capable hands and his team was never slow to respond when I called with questions or concerns. After Dr. Comptons retirement last year, I started seeing Dr. Kushner and am very impressed with her.This clinic regularly works in the community as well for things like research fundraisers and support groups.

I was greeted by a young lady as soon as I came in. She checked me in & made sure all my info was up to date. She gave me some forms to fill out. Just as I finished up, a young man came out to take me back. He took my vitals. He was very nice & used a manual BP cuff,which makes me happy! Then I saw Heidi & we reviewed my health issues & did a check up. She has me scheduled for some overdue tests. She listened to my concerns & gave me good feedback. I would definately reccommend this office.

The staff were wonderful people to work with. However, the Physicians Assistant I saw was rude and dismissive. He sneered at me when I explained the issues I have and was very condescending with me. I am not a doctor but I am an educated person and I have seen other providers who gave me contradictory information. He threw medication at my condition and rushed me out of his office so he could get on with his two week Christmas vacation. I will be seeking another opinion with a different provider and I will not recommend him to anyone.

I saw PA Heidi Harrold on two occasions, including an initial visit and a follow-up. Ms Harrold was attentive, thorough, and knowledgeable. She prescribed a course of treatment that worked well for me. Ms Harrold has my confidence and I definitely recommend her.

The first Drs office that checked me in, got me into a room and immediately saw my Dr. No wait. Listened well and had pretty good feel for my issue.

DONT GO TO ANY doctor at the Centers for Gastroenterology. Be it Loveland, Wyoming or Fort Collins. I had a bad experience with Dr. Jenkins in Fort Collins. His assistant DOESNT return phone calls and emails are not answered for days. Dr. Jenkins told me to take drugs and go on with my life. That was completely false. When I saw the PA I got yelled at. Many times I had to call the Administrator of the clinic to get anything done.

Im sorry there are so many bad reviews on here. Everyone I dealt with from the receptionist all the way through to the check-out lady were friendly and personable. My appointment was at 12 and Dr. Webb walked into the room at 12:03. He was very friendly, kind and caring. I felt like he was interested in my problem and he really listened to me. He explained what he thought was wrong with me and how we would proceed. I was very scared of going here after all the negative reviews, but the place turned out to be great in my opinion and I would recommend it to others.

Dr. Durkan and his assistant are great, but having to wait upwards of 2.5 weeks for test results is unacceptable in my experience. It was also difficult to get an appointment within a reasonable time after being diagnosed with what was possible internal bleeding. I have been disappointed in the overall experience.

Had reoccurring nausea/vomiting/abdominal pain. He immediately said, Its anxiety. Without any testing or anything. I requested for him to do an EGD and he even wrote on the note , I suspect anxiety as cause. Well good thing I went to a competent doctor at National Jewish Hospital because he found I had angioedema caused by a Mast Cell Disorder. This disorder commonly manifests in a persons duodenum (part of the digestive tract). This is a WELL known symptom and is documented in MANY medical papers and books, but he choose to label me an hysterical woman and not look further. He could have taken 30 minutes and evaluated me and he would have found it. It took the GI doc at NJH all of an 1 hour to confirm the diagnosis. That includes a biopsy and lab tests. I had an opportunity to get appropriate treatment and have been symptom FREE for 2 yrs now. So if you value your health I would encourage you to look elsewhere for your GI care !

They wanted to do thousands of dollars worth of tests and didnt listen to me to first test for one simple test that I thought I had. Then after finding out the price for the procedure they wanted to do I insisted on a simple test. My personal diagnosis was correct with the less intrusive and less expensive test I insisted on. Then when the nurse called in my prescription, they called in the wrong amount on one drug, thank God less than what the doctor prescribed, I caught this mistake after having taken the wrong dosage for 3 days. On top of this all I have had an allergic reaction to one of the drugs and to get a nurse Dakota (Dr. Crunk nurse) to call back takes 2 to 3 days and was incredibly rude! Terrible customer service and any other business couldnt get away with this!!

Again, very quick visit but comprehensive and very comfortable plan moving ahead.

Lack of professionalism, point 1: It has been 24 days since my initial appointment and I have had zero follow-up care or instructions.Point 2: While on site for my appointment, the nursing/assisting staff had no problems making fun of another patients marijuana use behind his/her back. I would highly recommend Dr. Compton and his nurse Amy. I have been going to the Center for Gastroenterology for several years now. They are kind, and compassionate, highly knowledgeable and treat me as a person. They have kept me out of the hospital and enabled me to eat and live again.

I have been going to this practice for 18yrs. I know I wouldnt be here to write this review if it werent for Dr. Dunphy. She is an amazing doctor as well as an amazing woman. Absolutely the best in her field. I dont know what Id do without her.

Ive been here twice during the past month and have had a good experience both times. The staff are knowledgeable and caring. Didnt have to wait long either.

DO NOT DO NOT DO NOT GO HERE. They work minimal days and will do absolutely nothing for their patients. If you have issues they will send you back to your primary doctor or to the er. The only time they will see you is when you are feeling somewhat healthy and even then they dont have anything helpful to provide either medication or support. Dont waste your time at this clinic!

Easy to schedule, professional experience, and great follow-up instructions

Dr Rand Compton was annoyed that my grandmother came to see him for help. He told her very bluntly, completely lacking any tact or compassion, that he couldnt help her and she was just old and should just deal with it. He was grumpy & rushed & lacked any respect or empathy for his patient. He was also completely oblivious to any possibility of any emotional distress causing GI struggles. I expect health care providers of all kinds to be interested in helping people. The rest of the staff we interacted with were pretty mediocre. Nobody seemed to be great at their job.

Been going here for years and its been great. i have Chrones disease and they have worked with me and tried everything possible to help improve my condition, I first was with Dr Compton until he retired and now see Dr Jenkins who is fantastic. nurses and staff are always friendly and helpful. Dont bother with the bad reviews on here, as most GI clinics ive searched, they always get bad reviews from grumpy people who think that they should walk into a doctors office knowing everything and docs should just wave a wand and cure them for $5. With 5 years of being a patiant here I can guarantee that, at least Dr Jenkins and Dr Compton, is very kind, helpful, and will do everything they can to try and help you get better. Also all Staff has always been very friendly and helpful, even to the grumpy people who i see come in treating them badly, which Im sure are the ones writing the bad reviews.

The staff here is terrible. Doctors dont listen to you and prescribe whatever tests they want to. Getting results is like pulling teeth. After getting a blood test (the lab had results that afternoon) it was OVER THREE WEEKS before I heard anything back; at that point I was leaving a message every day. It took 9 days to get any information about the procedure my doctor performed, and then he just told me to go to a regular doctor. He never tested for the things I wanted to test. Do not give them your business!! Theyll only give you the run-around and take your money.

Dr. Jenkins: It took me 2 other doctors at this practice before I found him and so glad I kept looking. This man cares so much for his patients. He is smart, experienced and has a lot of resources to find information you need. The biggest thing is he listens and takes the time you need. What you are going to the GI dr for is very stressful. I feel so fortunate. There are many doctors there that do not care, they want you in and out. I dont understand why they went into the field.2. Shelly: Dr. Jenkins nurse....theres so many great things about her. She is kind, responsive, professional and understanding. She makes this process so much easier. The best experience ever! The person responsible for accounts listened to my problem and then did everything to correct the mistake.I appreciate her positive attitude and putting clients first.

My husband was referred here by Urgent Care MD, wish I had done some research first--he was given an apt with Brian Cronk, who I discovered is a PA--now to give him credit he did order a test that gave us a DX(which he seemed overly pleased with himself about) but there was no teaching on the disease, no diet teaching, no s/s that would indicate something more severe going on, nothing. He called in RX which we found out a few wks later was the INCORRECT dose so my husband was getting only a fraction of the dose he needed--again one positive note Brian did call and apologize BUT---how did this happen?? Husbands follow up apt was changed twice--when I spoke to the young lady changing the apt for the 2nd time I told her he was still having sig. issues and we had lots of questions--first available apt was 2 1/2wks away so she said, I asked if one of the MDs could see him sooner--nope. So I made an apt for my husband to be seen by gastro that I had seen a yr or so ago and we will basically start over---as a retired RN I find this entire fiasco totally inappropriate and unacceptable in so many ways and would not recommend this group to any one---

The doctors were next to impossible to follow up with and had no treatment options. It takes 3 to 4 months to get an appointment even after being an established patient. I would not recommend to anyone looking for solutions or answers. I received a lot of “I’m not sure what’s going on” and “schedule another appointment” rather than further testing or options (such as dietary changes or allergy testing). I was very disappointed the care did not live up to the reputation of the clinic.

I really wish I would have read these reviews before I went to this practice. I have seen two different doctors at this practice and have not been impressed with either. I had to go in in the middle of the night for an emergency endoscopy and the doctor who performed it seemed annoyed and not interested in answering my questions. She also prescribed a post-surgery medication that was not suitable for breastfeeding after I told her repeatedly that I just had a baby and was nursing- didnt seem like she wanted to take the time to even listen. The feedback I received in my follow-up appointment post-endoscopy was not helpful at all and they didnt seem interested in trying to figure out what was causing my apparent GI condition. I was frustrated so I went back a while later to see another doctor. The first visit was fine but after he performed another endoscopy after a 6 food elimination diet he suggested to figure out what was wrong the results/feedback were once again basically inconclusive so he suggested I go on medication and schedule yet another endoscopy to see if it helped my issue.. OH, and he also suggested even more endoscopies after EACH food was entered back into my diet- my allergist and doc in Denver both seemed surprised by his suggestion. He also seemed annoyed with all of my questions post-surgery which was frustrating yet again. I am still not sure how after multiple procedures that I still dont have answers!!! He had suggested that I go to Denver for a second opinion so I called the office to request that my records be sent there, specifically asked if the results/path results from my last procedure were in the records (mainly wanted the second opinion on this procedure) and they confirmed that they were. However, I got all the way down there and after they looked through all of my records, those results had not been sent- the reason I went down there!!!!! I had to call the actual surgery center and have them sent over which took a week so it was basically a pointless 5 hours. I rarely write reviews but I felt the need in this case!! Unfortunately, we dont have a lot of options for GI doctors/practices in this area- thats the toughest part for those of us still looking for answers.. Hopefully they were each able to enjoy a nice meal on me with all of the money I sent their way! In the meantime, Im taking the natural approach and scheduled an appointment with a holistic doctor next week- hoping for the best!!!

I told them I was looking for a doctor who would actually work on diagnostics to figure out why Im sick all the time. All they did was look at my old doctors notes and tests and say they cant help me. Complete waste of time.

Front office staff are extremely unprofessional, dont even try to be helpful, and their are mistakes waste a lot of your time! Providers gave zero follow up information after procedure. Zero consistency in provider care.I would not recommend this practice!

I have been a patient of Dr. Dowgins for a few years now. I have always found him to be caring and considerate. He takes his time explaining things as well as confirming that I understand. While I know he is always very busy, I never feel rushed and that he takes time to listen to my concerns as well as answer any questions I have. The staff, nurses, assistants, are all kind and considerate.Dr. Dowgin recently prescribed a new medication for me - it is a brand new medicine and I found that the cost was extremely expensive and because it was so new my insurance would not authorize it and I could not get the prescription filled at my local pharmacy. I cannot say enough good things about the staff at Dr Dowgins office. They were AMAZING, especially Amanda Schmidt. She was definitely a strong advocate for me in figuring out how to get this worked out and get the prescription I needed. She took the lead on getting everything lined up, made calls on my behalf gave me the information I needed and when I had questions she answered and made more calls. Amanda could teach classes on customer service. I will now receive the mediation I needed and feel very fortunate. Thank you Centers for Gastroenterology for all of your care and concern.

Dr. Jenkins is excellent! When I had my colonoscopy and EGD, he explained exactly what the procedure entailed and followed up quickly with the results.

Ive had GI issues my whole life. I saw a GI last year at Banner who did nothing. Sat across the room from me, never shook my hand, and didnt even feel my stomach before he prescribed me meds and left under 5 minutes; when I had waited months for the appointment. I was hopeful to try someone new and looked up reviews this time before I decided on Rebecca Dunphy MD (who on her own has good reviews) however she isnt directly linked to the office website. Wish I would have checked the reviews for the office along with the doctor. I got my referral from my general practitioner 12/20/16. I received a call the very next day from the office saying to return call for scheduling. When I called back they said they had no paperwork of me. Um how did you call me and leave me a message then? I spoke to the same receptionist, David, each time. The first time he told me to have office resend paperwork over, that they might have sent it to different fax. I do that call back a week later, says they still dont have it, verify the fax again. This time I have my doctors office call them to see what the problem is. When I call back again, David tells me they received it and would call me to schedule an appointment once they go through the records....What the holy (curse word)! Ive never had an office give me such a run around. Needless to say I never got a call back and I wont be calling them back either. I dont know how the doctors feel about it but their office staff obviously doesnt want patients. Im not playing around with my health, and neither should the office staff or doctors that are there, and paid, to help you. Ill keep looking for the RIGHT doctor but I dont think this office is interested in helping anyone (which means youre in the wrong profession.)

Was told my problems were due to womanly hormones but the doctor had no desire to run any tests. I was in the ER a few days later. Now theyre trying to charge me a no-show fee for an appointment I cancelled.

These people are evil! Not friendly at all only care about money! Theyre very rude. They only want money from u they dont care about your health. You might want to go somewhere else

If I could give less than 1 star I would. I got a probable diagnosis and offers for pills if it happens again. No offer of what to do since I still cant eat anything or how to keep it from happening again. I got the brushoff and no diagnosis. Dont go there. They only want your money.

Had an appointment with a Doctor. He only gave me info. about a Colonoscopy not info. about a Endoscopy which I need MORE then a Colonoscopy! I have stomach issues, not colon issues!

Jim, the office manager, lied to the lady from the medicaid office. He told her my doctor had to call to schedule the appointment to be seen by the doctors. I was told by Jim that they had the right to limit who they see. I was told that since I didnt have Larimer County medicaid, I couldnt be seen by their doctors. They are rude and unprofessional and dont know the colorado medicaid is taken at any doctors office in COLORADO.

Worst experience Ive had with a GI clinic. Over 3 weeks before I got test results. And then only because I had to call and get them to look it up. Uncaring and unprofessional staff. A waste of time.
