I absolutely loved working with Joanne! It is so refreshing to find a hairstylist that knows how to cut and color thick and curly hair. Joanne listened to what I wanted and executed it beautifully. Along the way, she also asked a lot of questions about my hair and offered suggestions and ideas to better care for it. My hair is not easy and she took the extra time and care to make it look amazing! She stayed late and even worked on her day off to get me in. I’m so grateful to have found her!

Joanne cut my 13 year old daughters hair. For years, weve struggled to find someone who could cut curly hair, and Ive spent thousands of dollars trying every product. She spent so much time teaching us about the right products for her hair, how to care for it, and she even responded quickly with suggestions when I walked around lost in an Ulta a few days later. I just had my hair cut/styled with Joanne and it was a GREAT experience! I never really liked my curly hair, but after she cut and styled it, it looks amazing! Joanne has an incredible talent for revitalizing your hair!! I had some intense damage to my ends and I hadnt had a cut in about 2 years. I was nervous trying out someone new but saw her impressive certification through the rezo cut salon search, and the deva cut salon search. She even talked me through what I was doing wrong with styling my hair and how product build up was one of my biggest issues. She walked me through how to implement mousse and gel to my styling routine. She even gave me a scalp massage after giving me a clarifying treatment. It felt like heaven on my irritated scalp!! Ive never seen my curls have this much bounce until now. I highly recommend her you wont be disappointed!!

Im so thankful for Joanns help with repairing my hair, she spent over two hours with me, (my hair was very damaged) an hour past when the shop closed! It was a very personal method, she cut each of my curls individually, first dry and then wet, and walked me through the entire process of what she was doing as she was doing it, (and gave me a mirror to see what she was doing) which was so immensely helpful for the anxiety I experience at the salon. She also walked me through the styling process so I could also do what she was showing me at home. Im very excited to see my hair start growing again, thank you Joanne!

After decades of searching, I found Salon Nani. Joanne is the best curly hair stylist. If you have curly hair, you know it can be hard to find a stylist who truly understands and appreciates curly hair needs. I have never gotten so many compliments in my hair as when I do after starting to work with Joanne. (Also, she helps fix a bad haircut that needed a year to grow out after seeing someone who didnt know how to best work with my type of thick, curly hair). So grateful for her talent and to be one of her clients.

Joanne is the first person other than myself to cut my hair and I have no regrets, she’s really good at making you feel very comfortable and she fixed my hair so that’s a plus :) 10/10 do recommend

I had such a wonderful experience. I didnt get a hair cut for about 6 years and got my first deva cut here. I fell in love with my curly hair again. I was so nervous going in but she takes time to talk to you and figures out what you want. She is a very nice person. I am so so happy with hair, the haircut gave me such confidence! Highly recommend. I attached pictures of before (on right) and after (on left). My curls were in such better shape and in healthier condition after just one haircut and wash thanks to JoAnne. She helped me understand what products to use and about proper care for curly hair. A month later I am still very happy with my hair! I will routinely go back.

Joanne has helped me achieve the shape I like and is helping my daughter grow her hair and love the hair she has! Moved here from CA and never thought I’d be able to find anyone that could cut my curly hair. I was wrong. She does a fantastic job!

If you dont want to look like a frumpy, middle aged woman, please consider another salon. She made it really short and cut layers, which I specifically asked her not to do. Also, the cut was extremely overpriced. I am a young, teenager, and I felt awkward saying anything in your salon. When I got home, my family confirmed my thoughts that it looked horrible, so I canceled. However, you clearly do not know how to work with curly hair, and do not respect customers requests. Other people need to know to choose another salon. Ive learned my lesson and I will happily be returning to More than Curly.

The best hair stylist I’ve seen in years. She went out of her way to fit me in because I live out of town now. I drove all the way here because I don’t trust anyone else to cut my curly hair as well as she does. Personable, talented, and highly blessed.

JoAnne is a color genius, and after years of struggling with many high-end but not nearly as good stylists in town, Ive finally found someone who can give me the perfect haircut every time. I have a joint disease which makes it difficult for me to sit long enough, and she accommodates me in every way that I need- letting me use a different chair, checking in to see how Im doing through the cut, and keeping the haircut short and efficient. This review is way overdue for such an amazing stylist. I have very curly hair that was pretty long but really damaged due to several months of other stylists claiming they new how to cut curly hair. I came to Salon Nani and wow. She cut my curly hair dry in a short angled bob. I was so happy because Im from Boston and my hairstylist there knew how to cut curly hair short but not make you look like a Christmas tree. I have not let anyone cut my hair short again for 5 years until I met Johanna. If you have curly hair and want a short sassy look I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! :)

Joanne gave me one of the best haircuts I have ever had. She gave me the Deva Cut as I have curly hair. For the first time in my life I feel as though my hairstylist absolutely knew the best way to cut my curls. She talked to me about procuct and what to look for in a product and what to stay away from. After the great haircut, she gave me a great style. I have a feeling she cuts straight hair just as well, but if your a curly girl in Fort Collins, do your hair a favor and go to Salon Nani. Very nice salon in the heart of Old Town.

The first haircut I have gotten by someone who actually understands my hair. Joanne asked me about my routine and products I use and then explained what they do to my hair as well as how to let my curls curl right. Such an amazing experience and since I had to wait two months for my first experience, I went ahead and booked my second cut four months down for maintainence. I am sold.

Like many of the other reviewers, I have never liked my curly hair! Since I was young, I would fight against my naturally curly hair and for many years I would straighten it because I didnt know how to manage and deal with it. After completely frying and damaging my hair from the constant straightening, I was very frustrated and began my search to find someone whom could expertly deal with my damaged ball of fur. Through my searching I found JoAnne, whom deals so wonderfully with curly hair. I have been seeing her for almost two years and she has helped me to transform my dry and very damaged curly hair into a glorious mane! To top it off, she has taught me how to embrace my natural curls, working with my hair, instead of against it. Her salon, tucked away in a quiet corner of Old Town Fort Collins, is serene, relaxing and the perfect spot to rejuvenate after a long day. Her dyes are gentle on the scalp and she carries a great selection of products specifically for curly hair. Joanne aims to please and strives to make sure she meets all of my unique and special curly hair needs. JoAnne also uses products free of sulfates, parabens and other harsh ingredients for those who care to minimize chemicals in their life. I am so thankful to have found a salon and stylist that truly cares and knows how to cut and style my hair.

I have been visiting JoAnne for over a year now for a hair cut, color, and conditioning treatment. JoAnne is a seasoned stylist, who is quite talented, and it showed right away. When I first came in to see her, I felt like my blonde color was off and asked for her advice. She mixed the perfect color formula together to fix my color and it looked absolutely beautiful when she was finished. She just knew. My hair responded well to all of the products she used - they smelled amazing. She then gave me a cut and took just the right amount off, while giving my hair layers and much more volume. She has amazing attention to detail and always listens with great attention to my hair concerns and specific requests. I left with soft, silky hair that shined and felt like a million dollars. Needless to say, I will be a forever client of hers!
