Former employee. Awful experience. Understaffed and not compassionate. Understaffed because no one wants to work there. Managers treat you like your worthless. So unsanitary. People on the top floor will be neglected because they’re “independent.” People on the memory unit will sit in their own urine and poop for hours until they finally go to bed. The place is crawling with ants everywhere. In the residents rooms in the nurses station EVERYWHERE. The cnas will be rude and mean to the residents with dementia and laugh at them when they are being difficult. The building floods when it rains heavily and so do the residents rooms. The nurses will look at dying patients and say they’re fine up until they finally pass away and they realize somethings wrong. There has been multiple times nurses have covered up abuse. The place is terrible and if I could give it zero stars I would. If your loved one is here please for the love of god take them and put them in a better and more loving facility. And that’s coming from someone who used to work here.

This is not the place to go for therapy. They say they are going to do something then dont follow through. They dont stay with the the therapy plan of action every day its changed and or they say they they are short staffed so they cant do what do what they said they were going to do. Alot of laying in bed. There are some great nurses but otherwise this us not the place for you to go. My sister is there.

Professional and caring nurses and CNAs. Residents are treated with respect and dignity. The cleanest facility I have ever experienced. Staff are dedicated to provide the best care for each resident with kindness. 5 Stars.

Can I choose NO STARS?Second time for my mother in this facility. I was hoping that after the change from ManorCare to Edenbrook conditions would improve and yet AGAIN my mother is being completely neglected by staff.Waiting 45 min to get help to go to the bathroom is absurd! One nurse for the entire building?! No supervisors because its the weekend. Unreal! My mother has high risk for infection and yet is being left with unclean bandages on surgical wounds. This is where insurance sent her after surgery for rehab. If you have any choice in the matter DO NOT put yourself or your loved ones in this facility.

I live here at Manor Care and I have been able to increase my independence with exceptional care. The staff make me laugh, feel like family and am lucky to have found a great place to live. I receive great care , the meals are good, the staff love us and wouldnt do anything to harm us. There sloppy joes are the best! Activity department is nice, I have been provided with art supplies, I look forward to Bingo every week especially the prizes you can win. The staff provide privacy. The therapy department, nursing staff, management, administrator and housekeeping go above and beyond to make a difference in my life each and every day. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

In all fairness, I want to preface this review by saying that for five years I worked as the Admissions Director at ManorCare Health Services - Fond du Lac. And for me, overall, it was a positive experience and Im blessed by the time I spent there. So, itll come as no surprise that both of my grandmothers had been patients. My grandma Betty was on the rehab unit for a month while she healed from a fall before moving to an assisted living. She bonded with Pat, matter of fact, with her memory issues, she only wanted her meds at her new home if Pat gave them to her because she trusted him. He was very patient with her and with my family. My other grandma, my grandma Rupnick was brought into the secured memory care unit after a fall. It was the week of my wedding and shed declined to a point where we knew it was just a matter of time. The night of my rehearsal dinner, Jess, the nurse on the memory care unit had to break the news to my dad that it wouldnt be much longer. According to my Aunt and my father, the staff was wonderful. Setting them up with snacks and coffee. And when I called to check in on Grandma the next morning; the day of my wedding; staff wouldnt answer my question, they had my mom call me to tell me because they didnt want to upset me on my wedding day.I would not have trusted them to care for my grandmothers if I didnt think they provided good care. I wouldnt have worked there or represented ManorCare in the community if I felt and believed they didnt provide quality care. But I did on both counts. They took care of my grandmothers as if they were their own. While no place is perfect, the team at ManorCare sure came close in my eyes.

I had a friend residing there for rehab. The room was cold, her meds were not given to her on time, there were not enough CNAs working nor RNs. There was never enough food and the snacks were mediocre to never given. The rehab therapists were good with her but after a few days she was moved to a better facility for better care all around..

The dementia ward is depressing. And the way some of the staff treats the residents is heartbreaking. Not a place I want my grandparent to stay at long term. They deserve more than that.

Review for employees, Ive known 4 people that have worked here. Upper management does not care about any of you, bosses force shifts on you and do not like to do their own job. All 4 people have said the same thing. Current bosses are horrible do not work here! They are a revolving door, no room for advancement, poor pay, high stress.
