The walls are falling apart from water damage and the ceiling leaks because of plumbing issues. The building is literally falling apart and old. Cockroaches and water bugs are found almost everyday in the bathrooms. Not meant to be a solution for foster children who cant be placed, (*cough cough*, everyone there...). Staff are rude and inexperienced, job doesnt pay well, and there are abusive environments. Over 80% quitting rate and staff are fired often. Therapists experienced but cannot do much to help. Children are beaten by other peers and are not being removed because of safety issues. Reports to CPS have been made but little has been done to prevent these incidents from happening. Legal problems have appeared frequently and are currently being handled. Lawsuits have and are being filed against the facility. Overall not a place you want to be, work, or send someone to.

I’m curious to know who is in charge of hiring staff at this facility and I would like to know what the requirements are to obtain a position as a staff member? My child was recently released, but during her stay she was supposed to be protected because of a separate investigation which I believe as a parent this facility was responsible for her safety regardless. Unfortunately she was not. A staff member recognized her and knew people that were being investigated and this staff member shared private information including my child’s location and her treatment. I am absolutely livid and beyond disgusted by the situation I am looking into taking legal action as soon as I can verify who is in charge of employment and what the requirements are to be employed as a staff member in this Facility! To be employed at a mental health facility there are rules such as patient confidentiality I believe if you are a employee at a mental health facility you should have some form of degree as well as sign a waiver that clearly states you will be up for automatic termination possible jail time because I believe you should be charged if you share Private information about a patient especially sharing information with those whom have caused severe harm to the patient!A lot of these reviews that are left on here are from children that were patients here But I am posting as a parent and I am telling you this is not a place to send your children if you are trying to get them help

This place was touted to us as a facility for autistic people, but it is a horrific place. My son was repeatedly attacked and assaulted by other residents, but no one ever notified us when these injuries occurred. He now has PTSD. Run away fast!!!

Do not bring your child here believe me I was forced to live there for 9 months from may 20 2014 until i was released on December 19 2014. this place is HELL. I was there and believe me it is awful a kid named Barry Woods defecated all over my bed while i was sleeping in it it was horrible Sam (i cant remember the last name) kicked me in my teeth and chipped them. The only sensible people there are the kids that obviously didnt need to be there. This place is the absolute worst. If you care about your children you will not let them near this place. I now have frequent nightmares of this place even nearly 4 years later, I ave P.T.S.D. due to this place and my experience there. Again if you care about your kids DONT send them here

I was raped and molested by clientsStaff would hold me down while others would beat me upI was forced to give oral sex to other clients while I couldnt fend for myself because at the time I was going through previous sexual abuseThe unit conagree had sexual predators mixed with sexual victimsi had my finger torn apart by another mentally illed patient. The condtions are horrible. I mean look at all the things people are saying on the bottm. PROOF that no one is lying.but keep sending your kids they either gonna be raped, catch aids, or either dead like the other boy that was there.

I was there from September 24th to December 12th of 2014. It was such a nightmare to where I had been diagnosed with PTSD because of it (at the time). Heres a rundown: The entire second floor smelled like feces, urine, and semen; most of the outside windows are blurred so that the patients wont attract attention; all the doors would either swing loosely or tightly; the hallway lights are on 24/7 (surveillance cameras, plus trouble sleeping); therapists wouldnt get to you for up to a month even though theyre required to hold weekly sessions; all of the patients are either regular troubled kids/teens (like I was), juvenile criminals, or just innocent/violent rejects from their parents/guardians; I had seen a patient that had been there since 2009; the staff are almost all African-American (in a ghetto way); they basically let the special patients run around in the nude, yell their heads off, and play with themselves; I had seen a few patients eat earthworms in the courtyard cause theyre so hungry; Id seen them have their bones broken just from staff severely restraining and sometimes abusing them; Id seen them get heavily sworn at by staff; I had seen patients steal each others clothes (even mine); when the males get haircuts at the end of each month, they would have it shaved all off (I never had since I always denied); I had seen an entire room covered with feces before it was closed off (it stunk the hallway so bad we had to stay in the courtyard for a couple of hours so they can clear the mess); I had a $90 limited edition novel destroyed when a staff member allowed a mental patient into my room while I was away and, to this day, I never knew who had done it; for school, they would either let the patients run wild like its normal or do class work and find out none of those assignments can go towards your regular school records; I had seen male patients get romantic with each other; I had nearly been touched by a patient while I was showering and had to fight them off while I was still “bare”; the showers always malfunction; theres mold on the ceilings; the doors chipped a lot of paint; the floor tiles were removable; the food was bland, disgusting, and it’s the same thing every week; I have seen enough holes in walls that though plastered I’m surprised it hadn’t collapsed the building yet; I had my right eye messed up because of a mental patient punching me there; I had met a patient that had asked if he could “suck” me; between the first day and eighth day as a patient, you arent allowed to have a bed or change clothes due to “security measures”; and finally, for the first 30 days of being a patient, though you can have visits via relatives within the building, you are not allowed to leave outside the building. May I wish those that were there hope for full recovery, and the facility and staff pure deep Hell for their inhumane actions. Thank you.
