Take my kid in for assessment. The staff was rude and not helpful. As the nurse practitioner was of no help being cocky. Then the nurse gets in my face and I told her to get out of my face thats when security comes around the corner after I asked for the boss of the nurse practitioner boss to put in a complaint on the behaviors of there staff. They tell me to step back in the room I stated to my kid lets go elsewhere as it was not going good or being handled professionally by st e staff. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE GOING HERE !!!!! SERVICE SUCKS, STAFF IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND GOOD LUCK GETTING TIMELY SERVICE.

They have not taken care of any family members of mine that have stayed there. Now my father who is 69 yrs of age went in for hernia surgery and has Parkinson’s he was cold for 2 hrs last night and in pain. Worst hospital in the world. My wife is healthy and never has to go to the dr other than yearly appointments. She is a PA herself. She was having abdominal pain bad enough I had to call 911 we have been in the hospital for over 5 hours and I have asked the nurse only 2 times are there any updates or something she can have for pain and when I do she is rude and wants to tell me about how sick her patient is across the hall or how the patient 2 rooms down passed away. She should not be telling me about other patients. The one thing they did quickly was come in and get our co pay payment which was paid instantly. If you can get to another hospital do it. I hardly ever write reviews about anything but I thought everyone should know. If she was not in so much pain she can’t move I would leave and go elsewhere.

I got serious stomach pains. I ended up going to St. Elizabeth’s for. We were in the waiting room first, and while I understand some patients are more critical, I was in tremendous pain crying and pacing back and forth. We ended up having to wait there in the waiting room for over and hour. They took blood work and, while I waited for the results, they had me do an ultrasound. While I was in the ultrasound they came back asking my husband how much alcohol I had over my the past weekend and they asked him how he didn’t know and looked at him like he was some kind of bad husband. They left and in the mean time my husband asked my friend how much alcohol did I have that weekend she told him half a bottle of a wine cooler. They return and he tells them this and the nurse leaves saying that can’t be right. When I return they ask me the same thing I tell them the same answer. Apparently I had pancreatitis and no gallstones so they had basically thought I was an alcoholic. They didn’t do a test to see if I had had any they just assumed I was one. The whole time I spent there I was presumed to be an alcoholic. I had leading questions that basically was them trying to get me to admit I’m an alcoholic the entire time I was there. I was told I wouldn’t be able to leave until I could consume solids but the day I was able to have clear liquids they sent me home which within two hours of being home I ended up puking and pissing all over the floor. They gave me anti heartburn meds instead of anti nausea meds so I still ended up puking. And as a side note had I actually been an alcoholic I would have been dead because of what they did or didn’t do to me. I ended up having to go to another hospital because my bowls were constantly loose and I couldn’t keep anything down. If you love your family members DO NOT SEND THEM TO ST. ELIZABETH because they could die from their neglect. Also they over work the nurses and they certainly do not have enough.

She dismissed everything I said even when I got done telling her my wife had severe anxiety and couldn’t talk. So she proceeded to keep asking my wife questions. That nurse is just an awful human being and shouldn’t be a nurse anywhere. After asking her If I was able to go back with my wife she said no, my wife didn’t have dementia, Alzheimer’s, or a mental disability? Who is she to say my wife doesn’t have any of that? That little RN badge doesn’t mean a thing. With that attitude she needs a job at McDonald’s not a hospital.

Oh where to begin? Ive been to this hospital more than a few times and the experience has been somewhere between sub par to absolutely abysmal. When I was brought in by ambulance to the ER, they had me wait over an hour to be admitted and I subsequently went into shock as I was bleeding out. Their policies towards womens health care and wellness is absolutely medieval. Ive yet to personally meet anyone with a positive experience anywhere in the monopoly, or network rather. To top it all off, theyre suppressing their covid stats and punishing their staff who catch it and subsequently take off work to deal with their illness. When they are more worried about the image of hospital staff wearing masks than protecting their staff, its no wonder they deliver such terrible service. I would be terrified of catching covid from their staff based on these policies and attitudes. 10 out of 10, do NOT recommend. While I am sure that there are perfectly good staff, nurses, and doctors, those who run the hospital need to take a good hard look at themselves. Its sinful to trap the people of Northern Kentucky into one sub-standard health care network.

Ive heard it said similarly but Ill take it a step further when I say I wouldnt take my neighbors yapping dog here. There arent enough characters allowed to describe the multiple horrendous experiences Ive had with this hospital. Patient wishes/requests, their best interests, and their legal on paper duly appointed Durable Power of Attorneys alike are all given zero consideration or respect here. My poor grandma has fallen multiple times in the last decade. All resulting in surgeries or in patient care. As the only person by her side through it all, her only desired contact, legal POA, and full time caregiver on her contact list, never once have I received a call when she came out of surgery so I could return to her side to help her. Instead I was left to sit in the freezing parking lot while she peed on herself for lack of help. (On top of re-confirming multiple times per visit that they correctly entered my phone number, which I know can be difficult and labor intensive sometimes) I also have received MANY calls with questions concerning billing. So I know they have it. Our current and last experience is still extremely painful to bear and possibly subject to litigation so Ill refrain from elaborating further for now. When it comes to their contact lists or more specifically their No contact list it seems that one gets priority. So if you have any predatory family or persons who wish harm unto you or a loved one, definitely dont confirm that they are on any no call or no contact lists as they will be notified, given private information (major HIPPA violation) and aided in their plot by means of lies, cover ups and deception under the veil of confidentiality. If you or a loved one (or neighbors yapping dog) are about to die youre better off to be brain dead for 5 minutes and drive a few more exits up and across the river to a non St. Elizabeth Healthcare facility. On a positive note Tracy, the social services worker is nice.

My mother and I went to get blood work done at St E Florence lab on a Saturday prior to our Diabetes Center appointments scheduled during Labor Day holiday week, and the staff from the diabetes center had missed extending her order where her visit had been rescheduled. Despite asking the lab front desk clerk and trying to reason with her to reach out to the Diabetes Center doctor on call or check whether a nurse there could look up the expired order and renew as we are both in vulnerable high-risk group for COVID, she is elderly and is a recent heart surgery patient, she stated she already called them and was informed there was nothing they could do because on-call did not have access to a computer and nurses there at the hospital were not authorized and that wed have to follow up the next week and then come back. This would not have allowed enough time for processing and would have to reschedule visit that can take months to get. I called Diabetes Center on-call doctor from the parking lot, who informed me that he was the one on-call, definitely had access to fix the order and had NOT been contacted by St. E Florence staff as she had stated. He renewed the order within minutes and she was then able to get blood work done with no acknowledgment or apology from the lab. It is appalling, especially during a pandemic, to see the apathy and outright LYING by healthcare staff who should feel a duty to provide better care. It would have just taken an extra minute or two of her time.

Placed in ICU, monitored and was perfectly normal when I woke up.Have had my son in ER twice. Top notch care and attention.Wife just had colon surgery here. I was told that it was mandatory for my case worker to approve all treatment and that foster parents are not legal guardians. Every time I go here I’m met with senseless opposition by the cold reception staff. Even after providing guardianship letters 3 or so times, they still claim its “not on file.” I sat in the ER today from 9am until 3:30pm while 30-45 minutes of that was wasteful accosting from the bedside reception. Instead of that lady just understanding that the wife was acting Rudely because of her situation she was rude right back. I know its hard to deal with people when they are like that but its always compassion that wins the day.... I think she needs addition training and maybe some system to allow staff to release stress and smile on short breaks to redirect their attention and restore a right attitude. The other staff in the room were amazingly sweet, upbeat, helpful and comforting. There was a Male volunteer that I wanted to hug to pieces for his precious demeanor. We need more people like him with a servants heart. We all need to be servants. If everyone wasnt out for themselves and instead had an outward servant focus we would all get better service everywhere and we wouldnt get so bent put of shape when things werent perfect. I say that because when I called the ambulance, it was because I was having trouble breathing. I was also living with a person (room mate) that I didnt know. A so called friend of mine told me about an elderly man that needed a room mate.I was living in one of the worst hotels because the ex got us evicted from the APT. we lived in.(He was a bi polar, alcoholic with diabetes and ex Navy).I found out a week before we were kicked out that the ex did not pay the last 2 months of rent. That is enough to make you crazy!!!So after I moved from the hotel (it was the Super 8 one on Dream Street, home to some nasty drug addled individuals) into the now ex roommate, my stress levels were high. Severely high. No we didnt have children(the ex and I and were married on paper for 23 yrs.)So, the breathing I was having was so severe I called 911. I could barely get a breath in!They took a chest x Ray at Grant County St. E. And within moments the Dr. was running down the hall dreaming admit her!! She is having a heart attack!! They immediately rushed me to the Florence St. E. hospital. I had No One to be there with me!! I was 46 then.My family was no help. They (all 3 of them) called me on the phone!!Okay the treatment at that hospital was, well not telling me what was really going on. All throughout that experience all I was told is that I had a huge blood clot at the bottom of my heart and they treated that with 2 blood clot drugs. Then sent me home. with a booklet to read about heart failure. The cardiologist did do an angiogram. That isnt all. Some of the nurses were awesome. The doctors did not speak English well. So I spent my time asking a ton of questions. It was truly a mess.Lynn

The day he was being released, he wasnt released until 9 pm.

If I could give this a negative star I would. We had an alcohol poisoning issue (dont get me wrong... It was a self made problem) but OMG!!!... It took an hour to get fluid and see a doctor and we even had to leave without recommendation!! The registration (his name was Greg F.) asked us why we were being rude.... For starters, and I truly wanted to know if my spouse had alcohol poisoning... So of course I was worried and definitely assertive. We were placed in the psych ward room, our nurse (Kim B ) whom had been brought about by shift change... Was absolutely 100 and 10% not concerned about my spouse and even diverted the attention to the fact that I had no medical degree and should not pull my spouse out of the hospital without recommendation!!!!!! DO NOT GO HERE FOR EVEN SOMETHING THAT COULD BE POTENTIALLY LIFE THREATENING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This hospital is a true joke.

Great service but we got completely ripped off with bills after delivery. They claimed charges for a lot of services they didnt even provide at the hospital. I wouldnt recommend, unless, you have 100% coverage.

I am so impressed with the staff at St. Es. My sister was admitted late last night and Ive pretty much spent 24 hours with her and I am surprised how many of the staff went out of their way. One nurse brought her own personal phone charger in for my sister to use and another nurse came in to help my sister with a c-pap machine that she had at home. It wasnt even the reason she was in here but she showed her how to use it. I have a feeling your only hearing from the negative which is ashame because theres so much positive.

We were in Cincinnati for two days for my husband’s job interview; when my daughter had a little accident and we had to take a trip to the ER. She’s two, and the staff was FANTASTIC with her. They got us checked in, back to a room, stitched up and discharged within an hour. Amazing! This was our first major ‘boo-boo’ and trip to an ER; so the compassion and attentiveness meant everything to us as parents!I’d especially like to thank Rose. I wish I had gotten her last name so I could recognize her further. But, she came back, after getting all of our info into the system, with a bear and two stickers for my girl. My daughter slept with that teddy bear that night for a little extra comfort!Thank y’all!!

I was hospitalized @ St. Es, Florence, for five days in March because of a low blood count. Doctors came in my room everyday to check on me, and the nursing staff was great. Doctors and nurses were professional and friendly.

I would give a negative score if possible. Horrible wait time to even see a doctor in the emergency room. The nurses were clueless and admitted they didnt know the policies and had me running all over trying yo find the status of my son. After they were finally able to find a doctor, she asked why I was concerned and after I told her she said she was leaving since I was upset. Staff not interested in the wellbeing of any patient. Too busy finding an excuse to transfer to another hospital, find a reason not to talk to you about difficult choices, and listening to the security guard counting the minutes till he left. There is no compassion, no desire to find out the cause of a medical issue, just let me get your copay and then you can get help. You are signing a death warrant going there.

Dr Paul, Dr Kim, Dr Schott and the TCU, ICU and ED people were just amazing. Everyone from the doctors to the cleaning people really cared. I could not have asked for better treatment. I was far away from home and felt very alone and vulnerable. They gave me peace of mind. Love you guys!

Well, I got in right away, and a doctor looked at me pretty quick. All he did was look at my ear and refer me to an ENT who did the real work. But that didnt stop them from charging me $1,000+. Seriously. And thats with insurance. So 5 stars for being quick about it, 1 star for pricing, 3 stars average? Is that fair?

I let every nurse or MD know on the way in that I was light sensitive, at least 3-4 people. The MD named Greg walks into the room and turns the light on without even acknowledging me first. This place is a major joke and is only in it for the money. If you arent on the verge of death, Id recommend going somewhere else.

I really wish I could leave no stars! It took 2 trips to the er before they admitted me. And as i sit here and type this, Dr. Ahmed is discharging me. Which he is a joke! He shouldnt be a doctor! I have a softball size cyst on my left ovary (a hemorrhagic cyst) and i have no appetite, cant sleep due to pain, pain level is at a 10 even with pain meds. And he says that a cyst is no reason to keep a patient. Im actually almost in a fetal position in pain. The nurses I have had are great and definitely deserve a raise but the doctors dont care and have horrible bedside manner. So this so called doctor is sending home a patient who hasnt been healed or had anything done to help me. On top of the cyst I have a UTI with e. coli. So fun for me. But dont worry they tried to save face by trying to assist me with the cost of prescriptions. Oh and lets not forget a woman in the finance office telling me that without my insurance (which I just got on the 16th and dont have the cards yet) I wouldnt get the care and treatment I need.

Not a great experience with my son however they simply are just not equipped to deal with mental health issues in the ER for children. Our nurse Sandy was amazing though. There needs to be more people like her in this world. Very kind and understanding. No judgement, no rude comments or spirks. Very professional and just kind hearted. Sandy went above and beyond for us and truly cared. Thank you so much you were a Godsend.

This is the worst ER I have ever been to. You sit for hours in the waiting room. The doctors dont wanna do anything for you besides rush you out. I was told take this pee cup and use the bathroom and bring it back to the desk. I did and when I got back there like sorry shes gone to lunch just hold it. This was on a thursday morning with very few people waiting, but still took 2 hours to be seen.

I would give this ER a negative rating if I could. They seriously took two cases before us and the kids were obviously fine running around the damn waiting room while my child sobbed in pain!!!! Its a joke. They were clearly fine and my child who had rapid onset let side pain which indicates appendicitis sat and waited!!!!.

The care my daughter received was horrible. She bled every where and they did not even provide us with the chucks to change her. We waited nearly 3 hours just to get Tylenol for her pain! Her door was left open with her only wearing a gown on three different occasions! I became angry and they attempted to call security on me for advocating for my daughter and their lack of care! I would never recommend anyone here. However the lady taking insurance info was amazing and pleasant

It is a hospital so it seems some people are expecting concierge service when they write their negative reviews. Getting medical attention is not a first come first thing, priorities are the concern. Having said this, I have been here quite a few times for check-ups, therapy and most times I get in at the time I am scheduled, though I do not have any experience with their emergency rooms. The staff is friendly and very polite.

This place is a joke. I came in after a severe mold encounter feeling dizzy, having breathing difficulty and chest pains. I explain I felt fine until the bad mold exposure over the last couple days. So after I sit back here for 2 1/2 hours they come to try giving me something for nausea and heartburn. Ive had heartburn issues for too many years to believe that. Heartburn causes dizziness, body pains, metallic taste, chest pains, breathing difficulties and a headache? Really???? No. This is scary. This is the result of st e the monopoly.

Unless you enjoy being spoken to and treated as if you are a walk-away from the dementia wing of a long tern nursing facility, find another hospital; preferably one that treats adults with dignity. Not everyone with white hair requires being walked fifty feet across the lobby to a clearly marked check in desk. However, in the words of the responsible administrator, We walk everyone over and hand them off. While Im certain St. Elizabeth Healthcare in Florence experiences their share of senior citizens requiring that level of hand holding, to treat everyone as if we are incompetent shows a total lack of respect for us as individuals.

Terrible...terrible...terrible!!! i would love to give them a negative 10 if i could. the first 3 hours we were there i had only two nurses come into my room..i was in excruciating pain and no one was doing anything. literally!! after being there for about 3 1/2 hours i had to call the nurse back in and let her know what i needed done! my family doctor told me to go to the ER immediately because she thought i had possible nerve damage in my ear and all i needed was a CT scan and they were treating me as if i was there with a sinus infection and looking to get pain medication!! i was livid!! they finally sent the doctor in and he said he would order a CT scan. pretty sad that i’m not even a nurse and had to tell these idiots what needed to be done. after another four hours i received my results and was able to leave. i will never go back to this dirty...rudely staffed hospital again. they don’t care about anyone and the amount of time that was wasted for no reason was insane!! i have never been in so much pain in my life and they didn’t even care!! WHAT A JOKE! never ever will i recommend this hospital to anyone. don’t go there unless you want to be treated like your life doesnt matter.
