Only giving 1 star because negative stars isn’t an option. Went in on a Thursday night at 11:15 with excruciating pain on my left side. When asked my pain level each time I replied 10. I couldn’t sit still, pacing, kneeling, squatting on the floor, sweating and vomiting. Was told I was number 8 on the list to be seen. I saw a dr around 9 the next morning was told I had two kidney stones one 2mm and the other 15mm. I asked to see the stone. Was told it was a good thing I asked to see it because they made a mistake and it was only 1.5 mm. Will never go back!!!!!

Unsafe! While waiting in the ER with my Mom, who has Alzheimer, I was appalled to see so many McLeod medical staff including RNs walking and standing around openly either maskless or with a mask under their chin! I captured video of the of nurses congregating outside of patients doors socializing, playing with their hair, and even stroking one of their colleagues tattoo as if they were on a college campus and it was Hell Week! There was absolutely no reasoning as to why would professionally trained adults endanger sick and/or injured people during a nationwide pandemic!. Again, I have video of the foolishness! 2020 has taught us to wear masks, wash hands, and wait 6ft apart in enclosed spaces to help stop the spread, however the inhumane, incompetent, and insensitive staff of the McLeod Reginal Medical Center Emergency Dept. had no regards for the safety of others. And the young lady sitting at the desk sucking on a Jolly Ranger definitely should be reprimanded...I covered my Moms face with a blanket as she was pushed down the hall. Unfortunately the supervisor more than likely was one of the staff members standing around without a mask as well! Vaccination is not a cure...and it is clear the staff did not care if they contracted or spread a deadly virus. Incompetent!

The place is a joke, i waited 6 hours Saturday to not even be seen and left. Called this morning to confirm the wait time the nurse said it’d only be an hour. I’m 5 hours of waiting. Seriously humorous of how poorly this place is ran.

I dont know what has happened to McLeod. Been sitting in er with my son passing kidney stones in waiting room for 4 hrs. The staff is very unorganized and unsupervised. Will never be back...and I will share my experience with every social platform available. Where did these people go to school and who hired them? Btw they are aware I am upset and are probably making us sit on purpose. I will be sending someone by for surprise inspection.

RNRN Eyvonne C. And Doctor Kenny were an absolute pleasure to be seen by. I am an extremely unpatient and difficult person. They came in and got me in an out with diagnisis. Total time in waiting room was 4 hrs. And 3 hrs after. Still they were busy. I am deathly afraid of hospital, thanks for employess like them.

If I could give 0 stars, I would. I just spent 6 hours sitting in the waiting room because of a really painful infection, and didnt get called up.

Been waiting hours with my wife who is experiencing extreme migraines, weakness and other troubling signs. No update from staff since they collected vitals. Asked staff for an estimated time to see a doctor dont have one, youll be seen where you are. Wife is now asking to leave because shes in more pain now and tired of waiting 5hrs+. Piss-poor quality of care.

I came in with extreme pain from a kidney stone, and eventually walked out without being seen 5 hours later. Got fed up with seeing people arrive and being taken back only after a half hour when Ive waited for so long. Next time, Ill go to MUSC

There was a man shot in the leg and groin Friday night... and had to wait in the crowded waiting room. That one sentence should tell you how bad this hospital is.

This hospital is AMAZING❤️I drive 2 hrs. Round trip just to be treated here at their ER! The doctors and most nurses are usually cheerful, even after having an exhausting shift! They’ve saved my life now 3 times. They encouraged me to keep fighting, and kept my spirits bright! I’ve never felt like a job, or an annoyance. Cleanest ER I’ve been to in SC. They will get down to the root of the problem😉Highly Recommend!!!

Over 7 hour wait for 20 minutes of nurse in room time. Slowest nurses in the area. Stayed outside of room gossiping, laughing about, and snacking. Nurse had no idea how to use any of the equipment. I personally had to fix the monitor.

When we first arrived, nurse Hope was great! She made sure my mom got back to a room so they could start running test. She even came back to check on my mom! Very sweet and caring nurse. You can tell nurse Hope cares for the patients and isn’t just there to be there. However, once we got back. The doctor seemed to take his time with every single thing. No one had an update for us until 12:30AM and we got there around 6:30-7PM. Jessica the nurse was very unprofessional and seemed as if she did not understand none of our questions. She NEVER came in the room with an update. Even though they have a sign that states “one of our staff members will be in every hour to update you on your progress.” We had to ask other nurses on the floor for an update. The first time Jessica even stated”I won’t know nothing. You all will know something before I ever will.” Why would anybody say this to a patient? Just very unprofessional and seemed as if she did not care. You mean to tell me you don’t chart notes for your patient the entire time your patient is there? The room and hospital was very dirty. It just seemed as if no one cared. Jessica even bought in a dirty cart to do my mother’s blood work. It had someone else previous blood work on the cart. Jessica also was very slow with answering our questions. She also just seemed to just be “there.” But never was she attentive to her patient nor my mom questions and or concerns. I even asked to speak the director and she never gave me her information nor informed the lady. Being that I work in the field, I was very upset with the care my mom received from the time she got an room until her discharge. I would not recommend this hospital for any type of care at all. This was my mom third time going to this ER within the same week! And hopefully this time she has the right answers so she can start her recovery.

I visited the ER on 3.13.19, the wait was pretty long but the doctor and nurse that I saw made it worth it. Unlike previous experiences this doctor and nurse was very nice, patient and actually took the time to hear my concerns and provided me with a diagnosis. Thank you so much Dr. Joseph L. Kearney and nurse Shan!!!! Its because of people like you that actually makes a difference in this world!!!!!

My son was in a car wreck and brought by ambulance to McLeod ER at 2am. At 7am a physician finally camt to his cubbie where hed been laying since he arrived and introduced himself and asked why my son was there. 8am my son was than put back into the lobby to wait!!! No test no nothing was ever done at this point. Finally my son who was complaining of lower back pain and head ache walked out. Its so sad that this happened. I just pray he isnt gonna regret leaving but I feel his frustration. This is no way to be treated in America maybe third world. The staff was not friendly at all. Very disappointed!!!!

Tiny bugs crawling on the walls, different insects on the floor. Super long wait. I understood the trauma victims. BUT 4 HOURS.!!!! I felt bad for the people who came in after me. I couldnt take it, .put more effort into ensuring you have enough staff . the staff were as well as they could under the circumstances.
