The two stars provided goes to pee see optical and Dr Mark Stokes they are wonderful for the most part. However, I ended up having to see Dr Mark Ross on 2 separate occasions and let’s just say I’ll go blind before I sit in his chair again. He is rude so is his nurse! My appointment was at 2:40pm and the lobby is fully with people waiting to check in. Once I’m finally checked in I waited until 4:30!! Before I was even called to see the Dr. Again he’s beyond rude . He literally got up and walked out of the room when I asked him a question about an eye test performed.His nurse was no better she escorted me to another waiting room for another test in which she didn’t say a word on where or why we were going just “follow me”Once you sit in the chair in an exam room WHATEVER hour number that is … it’s rushed. There’s no bedside manny from him or hi team. No compassion. Just cold and rude! You’re literally just another number or chart to him. IF he’s a decent doctor I will never find out because no one wants to visit a health care provider and get this sort of treatment or lack there of. Once Dr Mark Stones is back I’ll return

Simply speaking, appointment was at 3pm and it is 5 pm now. Just saw a doctor briefly and no estimate when our eye exam will be finished. Advice: when coming here, plan for to spend at least 2 hours just waiting. Quite disappointed with the service. Wasted 3 hour of my work time.

They are never on time with appointments. The last 3 times I’ve been there I have waited over 45 mins and had to reschedule twice. Today was no different, had a first appointment and an hour later still waiting. I’m done with this practice, and told them so. I do not recommend at all.

Had multiple issues with scheduling how to do it on the day he was available unconsiderable about my work schedule , they called few minutes before closing left a voice message saying time and day was changed 2 weeks later so I couldnt even call to reschedule it and ended up losing a day of work had on my schedule for a month prior.

The staff were OK but everything feels rushed. Except appointments. I have broken glasses and was here for a follow-up for an eye injury but they give me an appointment fr glasses over a month out. Then when I said I didnt feel I could go a month with broken glasses they just tell me go to another eye doctor. They seem to be more concerned with how many people they can see rather than any real concern over your condition. Think I will take the front desk persons recommendation and find a different office.

Everyone was polite, and interested in my problems with my vision. The doctor and his staff were quick to understand my questions and provided me with desired solutions. The optical department was great. Patti the contact lens technician, provided me with new contacts that was comfortable to wear all day without any dryness that I had been experiencing with my old contacts. Every thing about my first visit was wonderful!

I walked in with eye injury. They were able to give me an appointment for 2 hours later. When I returned I was called to back within 5 minutes of checking in. The nurse was polite and knowledgeable. Once the nurse was finished with her part, the doctor immediately came in to see me. He was very thorough but lacked bedside manner.

The entire experience makes you feel like just a number. They get the job done but they don’t care about patients. 2 years ago I brought in a copy of a diagnosis my brother had for an eye disease and my own eye disease. Today they had no record of that. Front greeters are unfriendly. The two people on the back side were friendly with smiles but still production oriented. I’m disappointed in the entire customer experience and as a professional responsible for customer experience I’m qualified to say this. I only gave 3 stars because they are adequate.

The facility is cosmetically beautiful. The front desk staff could be a little more friendly. Several people were up front when we came. I had to stand there while she was booking an appointment. There is no sign in sheet. So, I waited until she offered a third option for an appointment without any acknowledgement. I finally asked to sign in. She then told me to sign a pad. She later barked at everyone to get your cards ready when you come up to the desk. It gave more of a clinic vibe. Not once did she say, “Good Morning” or “Have a nice day”. Her tone was very matter of fact which is the opposite of what a front desk person should be.A second young lady was a little better. When I didn’t have my mom’s new Medicare card, she allowed me to email it to her and she printed it out.The assistants in the back were extremely nice and helpful. They took extra time with my 89 year old mom. The doctor was a little abrupt, but thorough in his examination .Overall, I feel the care is good. I don’t believe the front desk person recognizes that she sets the tone for the visit. The first time, I thought she was having a bad day, but it’s been like that each of the 3-4 times that I’ve visited.Just be kind. Most of the patients were elderly. It should be easy to be nice to older people. I would start with t training or switching to another position with less patient interaction.

Every doctor in this practice that I have seen has been focused on my optical care. I now see Dr. Little ,a retina specialist. She makes sure I understand on my level what she is explaining to me. The staff has always been friendly and caring. Thank you all for the excellent care I ha e recieved!

Was told in Georgia that I had cataracts and needed surgery. Saw Dr Hunter Jr and was told I have baby cataracts and no need for surgery. They did request my records and was told I only need a pair of glasses and I would see fine. Was not satisfied with the results. Will be seeking another option.

I recently visited the eye doctor at this facility in florence. The building is very nice and clean with an eye glass center. At the front door my temperature was taken due to this covid 19. I was handed my paper and then to the front desk. They had the seats where you were 6ft apart. However, as i sat there I noticed that a couple people went ahead of me. So the wait time was long. Dr. Ross came in and in a matter of mins he was out. Whewww, it was so quick and he only said a few words. I was on my way after all the eye drops to the front desk to make my appt and pick up my prescription at the eye center. I would recommend this place.

I went in for a Lasik evaluation and because of all my questions they were very friendly and helpful even went as far as giving me a full eye exam . They were wonderful. They are actually only the second eye doctor to even notice a small difference in my eye that most dont. Im looking forward to having them preform my Lasik procedure.

I took my sister J.C. for follow up appointment today with Dr. Zakhour. All staff was very professional and all was well until he entered the exam room. At first his mood seemed pleasant as he checked her test results on the computer. However as he began engaging with my sister his mood in my opinion became inappropriate as doctor speaking with his patient. He was curt, disrespectful in response, such as every time you come in you out of something ,. J.C. stated, Im sorry, he responded, Dont be sorry for me be sorry for yourself. More I could write but too much. Sounded more like he was scolding her rather than just being a medical professional and giving advice. Dont plan to take her back here, she is almost 75 years old and I refuse to allow anybody to be indignant towards her.

My mom, my sister, and myself have been clients of Stokes Eye center for more tan 8+ years. Even before moving to their new location. I JUST called about “trying” to make an appointment for the (contacts/glasses) department and I’m not quite sure who I spoke with on the phone, but she was VERY uninterested, rude, and uncaring about the problem I was trying to explain to her about my prescription. I told her I had been in recently to get an eye exam, my contacts were drying out more than usual, AND that I doing nails was my occupation. SO, seeing that my career depends on my vision work, the woman I spoke with on 6/5/2019 @ roughly 4:45, (IF not - a little closer to closing time), was VERY RUDE and VERY uninterested in my concerns. All I was told throughout the 2.5 minutes of my call to the eye center was that I could speak with someone named “Patty”. Walk-ins. The woman I spoke with had no other interest than to defer me to speak with a woman named “Patty” on Monday and wha time she would be there and her lunch time. I am a business woman and the manner in which I was treated over the phone is definitely NOT one that someone should keep as an employee. So, Patty, I’ll be visiting you on Monday! See you soon!! 🙂

I went there and was told I needed cateract surgery, thats all well and good, but then was told before I can schedule the surgery I had to pay up front the out of network amount which was $249. They said it was 20% of the surgery, told them my insurance is in network an that I am only responsibleonly. For $20, they said that they charge the 20% of surgery which is $249. and then after insurance pays they will reimburse me difference. Called someone else to schedule surgery and they said they dont work that way.

For an eye clinic, they are ok. However the staff can be rude and undependable. Called to have a prescription sent to be able to pick up glasses. The prescription was never sent and they closed at 1pm leaving it unresolved for the weekend.

The woman handling patient accounts is one of the rudest souls I’ve ever encountered. I’m 17, and leaving for college in two weeks, but the ladies working in “compliance” and who “attend classes about this” deemed that I was too irresponsible as a minor to see a doctor by myself. I explained that I often see my doctors alone, and I saw my cardiologist alone not a week ago without any trouble from their offices. She outright told me I was irresponsible to my face. Not to mention her condescending tone she used when discussing our balance, going as far as counting “1, 2, 3,” bills sent to our mail. I’ve been using this eye center for years, and it has been consistently crappy at the front; however, the people in the back tend to be nicer and more down to Earth. There’s not much communication between the two. The front made a big stink about how I couldn’t be seen as a minor without a family member with me, so they made my older sister stop her day and come in with her two young kids. They explained the only way I would see a doctor was if she was to come back with me. It was then that they said I could be seen. They never validated that she was in any way related to me, or that she was above 18. I was then taken back twice to be seen, and my sister stayed in the waiting room to tend to her children. Both nurses validated my DOB. Neither one of them batted an eyelash at the fact that I was a minor, or asked where my 18+ gaurdian was. Before I was taken back for my final examination my sister up and left unoticed. All my sister did was come and show face. Ridiculous cause for conflict and a waste of time for my sister. Like noted above, the doctor is kind and efficient, and the working nurses are very sweet. On the other hand, the women in the front can make it almost not worth it.

I was not happy with the service at all.took my son in during school hours because they would not schedule an apt. after school and it took over an hr before they seen my child and caused him to miss out on his perfect attendance.then because i voiced my displeasure with the service they informed me that i need to take my son somewhere else because they can not do there job in a timely manner. if you have needs for a eye doctor please look somewhere else. and this is not the first time this has happened the last time we went there it took them over 2.5 hr to see my son.
