If I could give a -10 I would. Parents if you have a child who gets injured and requires surgery, DO NOT, I repeat DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILD TO Dr. Hovater at North Alabama Bone and Joint. I don’t know why I took my child there when I know I know better. But I thank God that he has recovered from his REVISION surgery where the mess that was made has been fixed. I wasn’t going to say anything publicly for a while but maybe if I had said something before, I could have helped a child who is now about to have the EXACT same REVISION surgery following Hovater’s work. These are CHILDREN going through multiple surgeries within a year’s time that could be avoided if Hovater would swallow his pride and say “I can’t do what is really needed so I will refer you else where”. Every time we went back to him expressing our concerns about my CHILD’s pain and swelling and decreased mobility he would brush us off, I’m glad I knew better. I took him elsewhere and it only took the REAL surgeon a minute to let us know that the previous procedure was a bust and that he would have to revise it. It was devastating to my son and myself to learn that he was about to have to go through surgery again. If one person had told me their experience with Hovater before I took my child there I would not have taken him there and I have since heard quite a few horror stories. Sothat’s that. That’s all I’m going to say. (I could say SO much more about the whole experience but it would take all day.

They don’t seem to be able to answer their phones. I have had better luck reaching the IRS with less time.

After several appointments, I waited an hour and a half to 2 hours each visit.My last visit was just to have a steroid shot for my wrist. After waiting in an empty waiting room for a full hour with still no sign of being called, I got up, asked for my co-pay money back and left.There was no attempt made by the dr. or staff to apologize, reschedule or make it right.Terrible facility.

Not that they care, they are rolling in cash. But waited 2 hours without seeing a Dr before giving up and leaving .

I wouldve been better off treating myself than wasting my time here. Whatever to make a quick buck. Wouldnt recommend coming here if you have a broken foot.

Love the new office space. Very spacious and clean. We used Dr Mann and I really liked his professional bedside manner. He listened to my daughter and helped in any way. All his staff was nice!

Please hire more people to answer your phones!!! 30 minutes to speak to someone is ridiculous! I hope I never need to be a patient at your practice.

My experience was good. First visit for knee injury was a Tuesday, I was seen within an hour of checking in, which was better than I expected. I had an MRI on Wednesday and surgery Friday. They had a streamlined process which helped the MD see people quicker and were very organized. I feel the quick turnover process expedited my recovery.

The nurse who called me back and the ladies who did my x Ray and helped me up was so very nice. And when I was taken to a room and when joiners nurse and him came in IFelt like I was taking up their time. Was talked to rudely and needed help for my hips and got told to get gastric surgery. And come back if I ever needed his help. Well I was there forhelp yesterday Sept 10 at 2 pm and didnt get a my.I felt like when I asked for medicine to help my pain I was told I was taking what I needed and was rudely told narcotics I could take one and then would want more. Im not one who takes alot of pain meds just only when I need them but joiner didnt care about me at allJust so you know that I came over there for help and didnt get treated like a human being with feelings. I felt like I was wasting time and felt like I was there just for drugs.

I would like to thank for all he has done for me over the years. I appreciate you helping me control my pain. I really miss you and your staff. Great people and really professional.

I am always treated so kindly when I go here. Dr. Hovater is a saint, and all the nurses are extremely kind and helpful. You can tell that they work so hard to make sure everyones issues are addressed. People are upset about the wait time, but personally I dont mind it. Sometimes you have to be patient in order to get positive results.

I feel so lucky to have Jonathan Wright as my doctor! He is so nice and caring!

Would like to rate less than one star. Patient I brought in for appointment had to wait 4 hours. Patient was asked personal questions about condition while standing in waiting room doorway with 5 other patients standing and listening. HIPAA??!!! Dr wasnt helpful and at one point laughed when patient told how long pain had persisted. XRAY staff told patient they are always busy and its similar to running a factory at this location. She said they also practice at 2 or 3 other locations at the same time . From the time we walked in the door the service was nonexistent. Will go to Huntsville, Birmingham or Nashville next time.

Dr. Young is the greatest Dr. and great person.

Reckless incompetence and hubris like I have never seen at any medical facility. They would not change three clerical errors that they made in my medical reports. I gave them a signed statement describing my accidents which they added to my records but told me that it was N.A.B.J. policy to not change their notes even if it was their error on their part. This was the 1751 Veterans Dr Suite 300, Florence, AL 35630 location.

They know how to take care of you . They do everything possible to help you before surgery.

They purposefully overbook appointments and 45 minute to 1hr wait times are common.
