Visited family and was very nice. Lots of activities and staff was friendly. They are in progress of repainting and fixing it up

I love this independent living facility. It isnt the most updated, but the people are so great - both residents and employees. Lots of planned activity, a bus that takes you places......my mother in law loved her 2 bdrm apartment.

My parents moved to the Heights years ago and absolutely love everything and everyone that works there. Back when I was looking for a senior living facility for my parents, I was given some excellent advice from a mover that specialized in moving older couples. They told me when I walked in a facility pay no attention to the staff because they know you are an outsider and will sometimes act different since you are there. Instead I was told to take note of the residents. Do they appear happy? Are they engaged? Is there conversations & laughter happening? If so, that tells you the staff does a great job and cares!What great advice! That was not the case in other facilities we looked at but at Colonial Heights & Gardens that is exactly what I found.I cannot say enough good things about the people that work at the building. From the Director, the marketing staff, the kitchen staff, the activities staff. the house keeping staff, the maintenance staff, the office personnel, etc. I am indebted to all of them.My father died about 4 years ago and Mom contracted Alzheimers and we were able to move her from the Heights to the Gardens which is on the same campus. The Gardens provides assisted living for the residents and does an outstanding job.My advise to anyone that has loved ones that find it is time for them to move from their private home to a senior facility, is to definitely move them to Colonial Heights and Gardens.Again, I simply want to thank everyone that works there, April, Pam. Alicia, Brenda, Cheyenne, Dave, Beth, Robin, Dakota, Barb, Joyce, Tish, Lin, Rebecca, Lavonne, Kendall, China, and I apologize to all the people that I forgot to list. Do not allow your loved one to keep any jewelry on their person while living there. It will get stolen. My dad, who suffered from dementia, lived his final years there . When we moved him in, I tried everything to have him remove his $3000 diamond ring. He wouldnt do it. We told Natasha about his ring so they knew he was wearing one. Then COVID started and resident restrictions were put in place. His ring disappeared during this time, when it was impossible for us notice it missing. Please, learn from me, dont leave anything valuable except your loved one.

I had volunteered at the Heights and Gardens for years. Now my cousin lives at the Gardens. Both facilities have a sweet spirit. I believe this comes from the Directors down to the Staff. When I need to make the move, I will go to these Facilities.

Richard and I have lived at Colonial heights for a little over 3 years. On the day we moved in there was a couple coming down our hall, the lady was on a walker and they came over to introduce themselves. The lady said to us, If there is anything we can do to help you or if you need anything please call us. At that very moment we felt at home, and Richard and I still feel at home to this day!

Would recommend Colonial Gardens to anyone. My Mom was there for many years and they treated her like family. That includes me❤️ Still keep in touch with them and always will. Just can say enough nice things about them.

MY MOTHER AND FATHER WERE BOTH THERE AND LOVED IT. THE STAFF IS VERY FRIENDLY AND FAMILY LIKE. THE FOOD WAS VERY GOOD AND OFTEN WENT THERE TO EAT MYSELF. CANT BEAT THIS PLACE.

The colonial Heights Team consistently goes above and beyond to create a family atmosphere for their precious residents. The best deal in town!!
